I highly recommend Svarga Bebek Villas! It's a beautiful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The grounds are stunning, the staff is welcoming and eager to assist, and the food is exceptional. The villas are well-stocked, and the turn-down service along with the snacks are a lovely touch. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Wonderful stay. Great retreat from the busy streets. Shuttle service to near Monkey Forest or cheap taxi using Grab. Breakfast was good and the massage at the spa was one of the best we had with very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful villas, excellent service, authentic Bali vibe. Very peaceful and lovely food. Downside is that the property is a bit remote on the eastern side from central Ubud. There is a free shuttle available but only at certain hours, and the traffic is often difficult.

Pros: restaurant near by the Villa . Very quiet area. Beautiful landscape.

Cons: breakfast is limited. There is no buffet option. We had the Villa for 4 people when booked but there is only one king bed, so we ended up pay extra more $ for two more beds which cost around $1000000 IDR per night. This place is a bit far from the attraction area such as clear cafe, chat time...... Etc. If you're preferred to be in the quiet area, then this is the place for you. The massage is expensive compared to other spa outside the hotel, however it was good

Lovely stay; recommended.

We loved our stay at Bebek Tepi Sawah. We live in Indonesia so visit Bali frequently, and this was by far one of the best places we've stayed in Ubud. The hotel is beautiful; lots of traditional Balinese features (statues, carvings, batik fabrics) throughout. Our room was well-maintained and clean. We especially liked the balcony and open-air shower. The staff were lovely and extremely attentive. We would definitely stay here again. We both agreed that this would also be a great place to come with a romantic partner.

I don't get it.. this place wasn't \"all that\".
We had a 2 day reservation. We check in.. we are told upon arrival that if we lose the key, we will be charged (understandable). If we get the towels dirty, we will be charged $20. If we get the sheets dirty, we will be charged $20. Frightened to do anything normal, such as wash our face before bed.. it was ridiculous. Also mandatory $500,000 deposit IN CASH \"just in case something happens\". Breakfast was included, except heres the catch.. we had to pay for the coffee. So it wasn't really all included. The breakfast was good though! Pools were nice. The spa was alright. The gal who did my massage was EPIC! Except, I asked for these Royal treatment package and my friend wanted a different package. We both ended up receiving something totally different. We didn't know what had happened until I asked for these receipt and it said something completely different. That was disappointing. We returned from the spa only 2 hrs after checking in, to find POOP on the floor and a rodent machine hooked up in the wall. Apparently turn down service attached it but there was actual poop moments later. The staff was super quiet and soft spoken. I didn't feel engagement from anyone. It over all was not worth the money and we returned back to the hotel we had just left and stayed there the rest of our trip

The property overall is lovely and great to relax and spend quiet time. The property itself is a bit old and the facilities are a bit run down. For example the rooms we stayed felt outdated and the rooms could do with some serious refurbishment and cleaning. The pool is great; the restaurant attached to the property is very good and convenient; massage in the spa isa just try. They also help you book cars and organise day trips which in my opinion is very helpful and can get you the best deal.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was nice but felt the bathroom lacked attention a little. The food was really good, we had breakfast in one restaurant and dinner in the main restaurant with many traditional tables dotted round the paddy field. The free shuttle to the centre and back was really handy.

We were in one of the 3 villas. My 2 daughters and I were very happy with the very large room, the outdoor bathroom, jacuzzi in the villa, 2 beautiful pools. We spent one afternoon relaxing after the sunrise hike. It was quiet. The hotel restaurant food was decent and quick. The restaurant right next to it with the same name has very good food we tried for dinner. Staffs were attentive and nice. The rice field remain lush and just as shown on website. The free shuttle to town was good enough for us for one visit. Overall we were very happy. This place exceed our expectation.

This was a unique place with beautiful gardens and villas. It was amazing to have a fish pond in our outdoor bathroom (campuhan villa). The included breakfast was amazing ( made to order). The included afternoon tea was not what we expected (it was tea and an appetizer, high quality but no selection of treats). The staff were lovely and the attached restaurant was expensive by Bali standards but worth it, very good, we ate there theee times. The AC worked well and the villas were beautiful. Staff were very attentive and kind.

We had a wonderful stay here! The property itself is beautiful, and the staff were exceptional in their care of us from airport transfers, the free shuttle into Ubud, and organizing a surprise romantic dinner for Valentine's Day. The dinner and the cooked to order breakfast were delicious. The room was huge compared to others on our trip, and our only regret is that we couldn't spend more nights here!

My room did not have hot water from shower and I had to call them multiple times to come fix it temporarily. Only until the second night I got access to hot water. The free shuttle did not come pick up on time, they had me waited for 20 min in the heat. The driver I booked for a private tour did not show up on time as well. I booked the tour to catch sunrise, and they had me waited for 15 min. The facilities are old, and not well maintained, especially bathroom. The shower head was broken in my room.

Beautiful small Balinese style hotel set in a rice field, a five minute ride from town centre
Very friendly, obliging and pleasant staff many with excellent english, nothing was too much bother, Marday the manager, Dewi and Wayan to name a few were absolutely lovely.
Rooms were clean, large and cool with lovely courtyards and views of pool or rice field. Standard Balinese breakfast menu in hotel and inexpensive restaurant attached also which was very popular

A stay to remember Bali by

The hotel very traditional, villa was great size, clean and comfortable. Beautiful grounds with rice fields blended into it. The staff were fantastic and would go out of way to help you. Shuttle to Ubud centre very convenient. Good choice of food and you know that restaurant is good when even locals go there. The art gallery was a pleasant surprise and larger then expected. Would stay there on my next visit.

Overall stay was okay. Hotel front desks need more people to help out the guests. There was only one person helped us check in and while doing that she was also helping other guest with their shuttle service appointment which I think lack of professionalism since she hasn’t finish helping us with check in the hotel. She should ask the next guest to wait until she’s done helping us, instead we were put on hold and wait longer to be check in! Also, hotel only has 2 bath towels unlike other hotel normally has washcloth and hand towel

Our stay at Bebek Tepi Sawa was amazing. A fantastic base from which to visit the must see Bali destination of Ubud and also a great space to hang out and relax for those rest days you need to have more of. Transfers, day tours, massages, great breakfasts and room service - it was a great destination for a couple looking to experience Bali. The romantic dinner was lovely. The staff were amazing at all times and we thoroughly recommend!

It was not that good. The rice field is much smaller than how I imagined from the picture.
Also, the room was filled with bugs. Not to mention, the bed was filled with bed bugs. I asked the manager to help me resolve the problem and all she did was to replace the bed sheet after I explained to her that changing bedsheets would not prevent the bed bugs.
The only good thing was the restaurant in the hotel. They do serve some good fried whole fish and duck.

Not as good as our previous visit

Upon arrival in our room after a 2 hr taxi ride our air conditioner unit was broken..so our room was too warm. Eventually we moved rooms but only because we pushed for it. Initially although smaller without a balcony (ground floor), with just a hand held shower attachment in our bath, the alternative room was nice and cold, we were v tired & so we decided to just stay rather than move hotels. We were not offered an upgrade(we wud have paid) & no one apologised or checked to see if we were ok until the end of our stay. Had they bothered to do so..we would have told them our room had mice, the sliding entrance doors were broken, the wardrobe doors also broken. We think the room we were moved to was sub standard & needs a refurbishment.

We stayed here last year in a first floor room that was absolutely beautiful.
You could say why didnt we flag up sooner, well we were shattered & just wanted some decent hassle free r & r.

We also had spa treatments..massages were ok but have had better in Bali plus had a manicure & pedicure..Id say dont have a mani or pedi we felt both ladies who did this were not experienced didnt know how to file properly or have the proper equipment.

Room aside & how we were looked after with our room problems. Generally staff are v friendly & v helpful & breakfasts are ok to good..also the setting is stunning...but overall after an amazing time the previous year..this years visit was disappointing & we will look somewhere else for our next Bali trip.

We LOVED staying here and didn't want to leave. Quiet grounds with multiple areas to sit and relax including two pools. Staff were so friendly and happy to help. Nice oasis close to the busy little town of Ubud

Grounds are beautiful and make you feel like you are truly away from it all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and cool, a nice retreat from the heat and humidity. Be aware that the bathroom is open to the elements so you will get some bugs but we kept the door to the bathroom closed and the bedroom cool enough that it wasn't an issue. Bed has mosquito netting that was romantic and practical. Breakfast was great with nice selection. Shuttle service is great and they were able to get us to a scooter place to rent a scooter for our stay, which is more convenient and easier than walking or taking a taxi or shuttle everywhere.

Magical place, complementary shuttle drop off and pickup to Ubud center. Fantastic staff, delicious complementary breakfast, super charming and beautiful place with phenomenal landscaping. This was by far the best place we stayed in during our 12 day Bali trip (we were not on budget and could afford many other places) We ended up extending by 2 extra days. Staff super courteous, friendly and accommodating. The overall experience was unbelievable. Will definitely return again. I am very picky with hotels and accommodation in general. This was simply fantastic!

We were really looking forward to this hotel and as soon as we arrived our excitement soon disappeared. The girl at the desk couldn't understand us, only thing she could say was credit card credit card, I'd already paid but the wanted to take a hold for the room , the only hotel of the 3 we stayed at in Bali that asked this. Room had no internet rang desk girl said she would look at it no call back, went to have a shower no hot water literally no water at all, called desk again girl said would call back no call back, then there was a function concert thing with loud music which echoed through the villa. Went to the desk and asked what was going on received blank look from girl spoke to Agustiana this guy was more than helpful told us there was an issue with the Internet and moved us to another room with hot water and Internet which we appreciated. The bed however was 2 singles pushed together not comfortable for a 4 night stay. Then during our stay every time we spoke to the girl at the desk we had issues. However some positives, shuttle service is handy and driver friendly you will need this as they are quite a way out of the Ubud centre, breakfast was nice, apart from Agustiana none of the staff make you feel welcome or anything. If it wasn't for Agustiana I would have checked out on the first night if you stay here liase with him he is fantastic to everyone else your just a number. Was really disappointed as we had thought this would be the best hotel of our trip.

A paradisic gem in the heart of UBUD

The best hotel I have stayed at, friendly staff willing to go the extra mile, free wifi, free shuttle to the town centre, free breakfast a lot of free stuff. The staff will make you feel at home. Amazing swimming pools, amazing villas. Wow what a great stay!!! I've never had such hospitality whilst staying at a hotel before, my stay for myself and my wife was absolute bliss. The setting is just perfect for a couple.

Challenging.....

I had challenges with this hotel from the start, I booked an airport transfer, they did not check the flight and charged me for a failed pick up. Then chastised me when I did not apologise for wasting the drivers time (seriously). I then took the shuttle to Ubud, the pick up was then 1 hour late, again the hotel was not apologetic at all. The bathroom is open to the elements, so every morning I would find 1000 bugs in the bathroom. The towels were also horrible, it was like getting a scrub everytime I used them.

The room was huge, bed amazing, food was good. I would not stay here again.

Staying here was like staying in paradise! The staff were wonderful, accomodating, friendly and always up for a conversation. The two swimming pools were small and beautiful, and usually we were swimming either on our own or maybe one or two other people. The hotel isn't really close to anything within walking distance, aside from a restaurant or two and a convenience store. However, there is a free shuttle that will take you in to the shops and markets - simply organise with the reception and the driver drop off and pick up. The market stalls are great fun for bargaining and laughing with the locals. Whilst in Ubud, we visited the tengenungan waterfalls and the lotus cafe - I would recommend! One thing that didn't bother us but may bother some, are the geckos that might find their way into your bedroom. Each night we slept under a gecko or two on the ceiling, but they were tiny and we liked them because they eat pesky bugs. This place is romantic, comfortable and secluded. What a getaway!

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Bebek. I was joking that I could live there. The room was very specious, clean and has an oriental flavour. Everything was perfectly clean and fresh. The rooms are surrounded by rice fields and jungle-like flowers and trees, which gives an amazing impression. The staff was very polite and proactive in helping us arrange our travel forward, there is also a free shuttle from hotel around Ubus. Definitely wort recommending!

I was in Ubud in September so it was a low season. Hotel was very quiet, not many guests. Room was clean. There are two restaurant. Spa was great. Guests activities were good. Close to centre of Ubud. Shuttle bus can drive you everywhere. Overall it was a nice hotel, it would be even better if the staff could speak better English. But they really try and that's what important 😊

Beautiful hotel but with a few drawbacks

This is a beautiful hotel. The grounds were gorgeous (fountains, rice fields, flowers) and the room was very comfortable. We especially loved the canopy bed and the spacious bathroom. In general the hotel staff were very nice and tried their best to be helpful. However, both a woman at the front desk and a massage therapist were obviously sick (coughing, sniffling, blowing nose). My husband soon became sick after our spa appointment and I became sick a few days later, which really negatively affected our trip. Also, the internet in the hotel was very spotty. Although the hotel advertises free wifi, we received NO signal in our room at all and I had to walk around the grounds with my laptop looking for a signal elsewhere. This was quite inconvenient when all I wanted to do was look up a few fun things to do or directions to a destination online. The complimentary hotel shuttle to Ubud center was not convenient, so I would recommend renting a motorbike (which is super cheap) if you'd like to have more control over your mobility during your visit.

The landscaping is meticulously maintained and it is in harmony with the character of the island.
This makes our time spent on the balcony enjoyable.
The room was spacious and had all of the usual amenities you typically find in a hotel room. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful.

boutique hotel in Ubud

This is our 4th stay at Tepi Sawah. It continues to have the same charm and ambiance as it has always done and is soothing to the senses. It is tasteful and is a reflection of the owners keen interest in the arts. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and their top room is the Peliatan villa which we stayed in for the first time this year. Except for the cracked outdoor spa every thing else about this room was fantastic. The taman Villas next door are excellent value for money.

My wife used the in house spa for the first time as well and again was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast has improved in quality over the past 4 years and the Restaurant has expanded since our last visit and gone national with lower prices. Experience authentic Balinese food.

Place for total relaxation

After few hectic days in Legion area, staying at BTS was so relaxing, compelling to stay longer.
No complains at all except that the bed quilt cover should have been cleaned after the previous guest.

Tropical Paradise

We were welcomed by super friendly a staff and a cocktail to keep off the heat on our arrival. The villa was clean, quiet and pleasing with a nice view over the adjacent paddy fields.We loved the breakfast service and the restaurant staff...the lush foresty surroundings of the villas made this an enclosed place of peacefulness and retreat. We will definitely be going back there and highly recommend it to anyone basing their stay in Ubud.

Lovely villa in a tranquil tropical garden setting

We had a wonderful two nights stay at the Taman villla which is spacious and comfortable. It was private as well! The staff were friendly and lovely breakfast. The restaurant next door is also excellent. The only mark was they forgot to arrange our transfer from the airport to the hotel even though we booked it a few days ahead. They were very apologetic that the staff that confirmed to us was sick that day we arrived and no one knew about it to arrange the transfer. Anyway, it was fine other than a bit of wasted time and cost of phone call. We took a taxi from the airport and it cost us irp 300000 instead of the 350000 that the hotel would charged.

Amazing resort for a getaway

We had our own little villa close to the pools and restaurant. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was very spa-like with a large tub. Staff were friendly and helpful in planning our day trips and arranging drivers. Our breakfast was included in our stay and it was some of the best food I had on the trip (you can choose between American, Indonesian and other breakfasts). The juices are a must-try; they blend fresh fruit for you! The restaurant at the hotel is famous for its crispy duck. It overlooks the beautiful rice fields. Would definitely return to this resort.

A Serene Bali Dream

This property is totally beautiful with lush gardens and beautiful pools. We've been in three Bali hotels and this one really feels like the Bali fantasy. Romantic+++. The food in the hotel's restaurant is much better than the tourist restaurant (how does that survive). This is a great healing/romantic retreat. It is a really unpleasant walk to shopping and restaurants, however the hotel's shuttle service is free and better at dropping you off than picking you up. Monkey forest is a much more interesting area to be in, but this hotel offers a lot of romantic Bali charm for the price. Ubud is the best of Bali so give yourself extra time there. If you want to retreat and heal, this hotel is a great choice.

Nice hotel, will definitely come again

We travelled on mid of March, family of 4, 2 rooms from Batuan Villas.

Once we arrived, we were greeted with refreshing juices that sufficiently cool us down in that hot weather of Bali. Check in procedures were fast, the staff led us to our rooms and showed us the facilities around. The rooms were lovely, the bathrooms were clean and spacious.

The breakfast they provided were really good and healthy, Western or Indonesian style served with fresh fruit juice and fruit salad. I personally don't mind to have them everyday. We were also offered free afternoon tea coupons. I highly recommend Bebek Tepi Sawah restaurant next to the hotel (not the one we had our breakfasts), this is one of the must-eat restaurant in Ubud, they are famous for their smoked duck.

The hotel provides free shuttle bus service, in fact, mini vans, they will drive you to anywhere in Ubud, and pick you up at the time and place that you preferred. It's very convenient. On the last night of our trip, we tried to book for a spa session from the hotel. Unfortunately it was fully booked, the staff were very helpful that they arrange another spa not far from the hotel and arrange transportation.

We really enjoy the stay at Bebek Tepi Sawah and pleased with their service.

Great Hotel set back from crazy town

My girlfriend and I spent two nights in Ubud, and loved this hotel. We arrived early and they were able to check us in with out any problems. The property is very nice and the restaurants had amazing food. Breakfast was delicious! We also had free afternoon tea and fried bananas. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

The surroundings were beautiful.. Peaceful .....

This was a great choice as it was outside Ubud however the shuttle service was excellent.
I preferred the room on the second floor rather than the ground level as I fear bugs insects etc
The mosquito coils were a great addition to the room as we didn't see or feel any mosquitoes.
Staff are exceptional and the food was great. Not a five star hotel with all the amenities however small pool which was clean..

Lovely but a little out of the way

This place was nice, but it's not right in Ubud, so it makes it a little annoying to get around. The hotel runs a shuttle, but you have to tell them when you will return, which is difficult to estimate. Also, the staff's English is OK, but not perfect. The food was ok, and the room was really nice. We really enjoyed our outdoor shower that came w/ the villa! Also, the hotel has a nice set of drivers for excursions.

A relaxing retreat from the noise of the streets

Overall this was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the hotel itself was beautiful. This was our first time in Bali but we were very impressed with the setting of the hotel amidst the rice fields with its lovely garden and pool. The free shuttle bus to and from the town centre was fantastic especially as the number of official cabs in Ubud seemed to be very small and we were not overly keen on haggling with unofficial cab drivers every time we wanted to go for a meal. The free breakfast provided was also pretty good. The attention to little details like putting a mosquito coil on your balcony each night was also really nice. The thing that really put the icing on the cake, as it were, was that a gamelan orchestra was practicing in the restaurant of the hotel each night and this made for a very pleasant and relaxing accompaniment to relaxing in the evenings.

Peaceful location

Enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful interlude. Lush gardens full of orchids in bloom. Pool, with its duck fountains arround the edge, provided a cooling and refreshing end to a busy day. Bit far out to walk in to Ubud, but hotel shuttle service overcame that. Attached fine art gallery is a must to visit, as is ARMA - an art museum and garden a short 10 minute walk down the road. Watch out for the traffic! Enjoy looking at the wood carving along the way. Happy Hour, providing half price cocktails overlooking the pool, was great. The restaurant next door was beautifully laid out amidst rice fields with well priced meals.

Beautiful gardens in unique rice fields setting. Small hotel with personal and friendly service. Excellent value for money with very god nightly rates. Full breakfast table service that was efficient and relaxing. There are four different breakfast menus that each have several courses. So totally beats 200 people in a mad scramble for a buffet with people overeating. Delightful fresh fruit juices.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The rooms have usual basic inclusions with pleasant outdoor sitting areas. Upstairs rooms have views of the rice fields and beyond.

The Spa was very good with excellent treatments.

There is a free shuttle to and from Ubud and this worked well. Being situated away from the centre of Ubud means you might actually observe the Balinese going about their usual business, not just selling tourist merchandise.
