Everything was great, just a small area in the floor by the sliding glass door that was really pointy and should have been fixed before anyone stayed there. I hit it several times with my foot which was very uncomfortable. Room was clean and loved our view.

Excellent choice for a peaceful stay. The room was awesome, very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly, great communication and polite.

We didn’t book a room with the best views, but was still very nice, we could see the golf course and the mountains around.

We didn’t have a chance to try the swimming pool or the spa and in October the playground was closed, so something to bear in mind if you have kids.

We had a dinner in the bar one night and the food was excellent, as the wine. They have different restaurants on site and you need a car to drive around as there is nothing much else close to the hotel.

Overall, a great choice to relax and play golf!

We had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was simply exquisite and bountiful. The staff were friendly and super helpful.
My only critique (and for me it was a big one) is that although it’s stated that the rooms are air conditioned, there is no way. We lowered our temperature to 18 degrees Celsius, so it should have been really cold. It wasn’t cooling at all. It was hard to sleep or cool off after coming from sunbathing.

Pleasant stay with minor flaws

We had a nice stay. Newer and clean room with comfortable bed and a balcony with gorgeous views of the pool, the vineyard and golf course.(we booked a deluxe king room). The staff was very friendly and super helpful. Great breakfast. Only complaint is that the bathroom is a bit awkward. It has nice size shower and even a big bathtub, which left uncomfortably tight space for the sink and even so for the toilet. Also, during our stay there were a couple of large groups staying there causing some noise and delays in the restaurant. (unfortunately there are not many other options for dinner close by)

I called the day before to inquire about early check in as we were attending a wedding nearby and Pedro was very helpful granting us an early check in of an hour.

On arrival, check in was quick and effortless. The room was stunning and spacious and had a lovely view and terrace overlooking the pool and golf course. We had a quick bite and swim at the pool cafe, which was tasty and refreshing.

We then attended our wedding that evening and again, thanks to the reception staff organised us our taxis.

The following day spent the day lounging at the pool. The staff organised a TV for me to watch the Grand Prix and then we dined in the garden cafe, which was also lovely.

My only negative was not staying longer.

Simply a gorgeous property. We had a stunning view of the mountains and golf course. A rare treat for US travelers is that the unit had a small terrace accessed by large double doors which we left open to better enjoy the view and sunshine.

Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful with most speaking perfect English.

The health club could use more equipment, but the pool and thermo areas in the spa provided for some nice relaxation.

We didn't want to leave.

Nice short break

This is a lovely golfing hotel in a very scenic wine growing area. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very comfortable and well furnished. Unfortunately we were overlooking the hotel entrance which didn't give a lot of privacy with the curtains open. This would benefit from the addition of voile curtains. Some areas would benefit from an upgrade; wallpaper in bedroom and carpets in hallways. The breakfast was very good with friendly service.

Arrived late in awful weather but the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful even gave us an upgrade and agreed a later checkout time. Lovely hotel, modern but with traditional features. I really enjoyed my stay at the Dolce Campo Real. Reception staff were very polite on booking in and my room was lovely. The bed was massive and so comfy. There was a separate bath and shower. The shower was really powerful and had a separate detachable head.
Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice.
I also took advantage of the spa facilities which were amazing and very relaxing. Body massage was perfect.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel. I didn’t try the golfing facilities. If you want to see Portugal you will need to hire a car as it is not serviced by public transport.

Fabulous location and great value

Fabulous luxurious golfing hotel which is set in a lovely location. We sadly only had a one night stay but I cannot find fault. The bedroom was huge with fantastic views over the swimming pool and golf course. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold choices. I had the pleasure to stay at Dolce CampoReal Lisbon last December and I can say the hotel exceeded all my expectations. It is 30 mins from Lisboa city call: Torres Vedras. Beautiful country side with utmost peace and serenity anyone can imagine. The hotel room was clean and very modern. The facilities, staff and management were very helpful and I had a great pleasure to had my stay there. Every morning when I woke up, I opened my window and looked outside like it was a small piece of heaven land I am living in. So peaceful and beautiful. I look forward to stay at Dolce CampoReal Lisbon in near future.

Lovely hotel but a little remote.

Booked this hotel as part of a guys golf tour. Hotel is genuine 5 star and very good value for the price. Great for a summer relaxing stay but a little remote as about 6 miles from town and not near the sea. Outdoor pools very nice to sunbathe.
Golf course was suffering from lack of water. Although the greens were good, the lakes and surrounding areas were drying up and going to dust. A few blind holes and not knowing where the balls were going plenty of lost balls
American owned hotel and this reflected in the well trained staff who were all attentive and wanted to know your experience.
Needs money spending on the irrigation system of the golf course and course needs a good golf architect to re-design some of the holes. If this is not done I feel this resort, despite the good hotel, will get into trouble.

We originally booked this hotel for its 5 stars and the amenities in the spa. We were looking for a Turkish bath and we’re curious to try their Japanese tub package. Neither was available. Our room was supposed to have a nice view but we got the parking lot that was very loud. Staff did move us to a much quieter room. Golf club had open tee times but could not guarantee a cart so I cancelled my tee time because I didn’t want to hang out and wait to see that I didn’t have a cart. My wife’s massage was mediocre with the masseuse barely talking. Food in the restaurant was just OK.
We stayed at penha longa in sintra and it was in a different league. Twice the price but if you offer a five star resort you should at least deliver. It should be rated at 3.5 to 4 star and I would have been happy

I'll start with the fact that it was a pleasant stay - the room is super comfortable and I loved the bathroom with a super large bath and fully equipped with everything you can think of for a perfect relaxation.
The bed is great and the view is so beautiful.

The gym, however ... is very photogenic but not functional as it is not equipped with quality products.
Breakfast is good and has a lovely variety...fun!.

Beautiful suites with lovely pastoral views. Nice golfing and helpful staff. Breakfast is well worth the cost.
The bar staff is exceptionally attentive with a vast selection. Fabio does an excellent job in sharing the regions best wines and liquor.
The spa is small but the staff is very knowledgeable. Our massages were wonderful, but the steam room was not working at the time we were there.
Our suite number 228 is very spacious and has a gorgeous view. It sits at the end and off to itself. The bed is hard and noisy and the couch is quite worn. Turn down service leaves one chocolate and there are no face cloths. However, the suite is worth the price. It is well-appointed, clean, and the bathroom is impressive.

The hotel was lovely. The staff made our stay such a memorable experience. It was my birthday and the staff in one of the restaurants overheard our toast of the occasion and surprised us with a lovely birthday cake.
Two beautiful pools, a spa and great restaurants. The rooms are spacious and attractive. I would definitely return to this place.

Oasis in the Portuguese countryside!

The Dolce CampoReal started as an overnight stay for us to attend our good friends' wedding, and turned into a 3 days/nights of relaxation! The grounds of this resort are immaculate and the amenities are amazing. Staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The only downside we experienced is the lack of privacy between the bathroom and bedroom as only venetian-blind-like windows separated the two instead of a more private wall or enclosure.

Overall, we would not hesitate to stay here again!

Would use a buggy when weather is hot but cooler temperatures carrying is good excercise. Breakfast and golf club food were excellent but out of season the main restaurants were not open. Good outside and indoor pools plus relaxation suite. Will return.

The friendliest and most helpful staff

My husband and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely relaxing time. Living in the 'rat race' it did us a little time to appreciate the peaceful setting go the hotel. There's no hustle and bustle at all. The scenery us beautiful, so green and lush.

The hotel is lovely although a little remote so a car is a must, especially if you want to explore the local area. The resort is a few kilometres away from the nearest village in Turcifal and the village itself is small. For a wider selection of shops and restaurants it is necessary to go to Torres Vedras some 15 minute drive away.

The resort is easy to find, just exit the motorway at junction 7 and you'll find the signs to follow, it's about 25-30 minutes from Lisbon airport.

The staff in the hotel are some of the friendliest and most helpful we've ever encountered, they couldn't do enough for you, always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention for Bruno in the bar and Neal on reception.

A lovely touch by the hotel was to put champagne and strawberries dipped in chocolate in our room on my birthday - thank you so much.

We'd love to return to the hotel and may even look to purchase an apartment in the grounds we were so impressed.

We can't recommend enough if you're looking for a relax and especially good for those that enjoy a game of golf.

Excellent hidden gem

This hotel is just as the pictures. Its in a very quiet town on the outskirts of Lisbon but this is actually a positive as it just adds to the quality of relaxation. Staff were excellent and the hotel facilities like the pool, spa and gymnasium are all in top A++ condition although the gym could do with a bit more machines but that's just a tiny niggle. I was there to relax after all and I did get that to be honest. The sports burger at the sports restaurant is just brilliant and very fresh. Not the quick nasty burgers that you get from MacDonald's etc. In fact all their food is prepared from scratch and thus is always fresh. In terms of activities to do outside the hotel well there aren't any and the best thing will be to go to Santa Cruz which is a 30min drive from the hotel. This is where the beach is and lots of lovely areas for walks. Would I go back there.... without a doubt one of the best relaxing hotels around in Europe and well worth the money. Keep it up guys and hope to see you see.

note. Hire a car to get there from Lisbon as taxis are very expensive and also a car gives you he opportunity to travel around.

Excellent hotel in a great area for exploring

Just spent an excellent week at Dolce Camporeal Lisbon. This hotel is located around half an hour from Lisbon Airport, an easy drive up the A8 and is in a fantastic area for exploring the sights of Sintra, Obidos, Lisbon etc. You do need a hire car to benefit fully from the area.
We had a beautiful and very well appointed Superior Deluxe room overlooking the outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet was very good quality with an extensive choice of both hot and cold options. Although the more formal restaurant in the hotel was closed during our stay we enjoyed eating at the hotel sports bar on a couple of occasions and there are also several good and affordable restaurants in the nearby town Torres Vedras.
What really struck us most of all about Camporeal was the quality of welcome and service from the staff, extremely helpful and professional.
We can't wait to return to Camporeal for another wonderful holiday.

The hotel is very nice, rooms are great, but the hotel is located in a village. Nothing around unless you go to the next city. The workers are helpful but also have difficulties giving direction when lost, and you will get lost if you are driving as the navigation systems do not recognize the hotels location. Nor are there any signs for CampoReal, on route. But once your there you'll love it! Def place for golfers, and couples, to quiet for single travellers

This is a 5-star Hotel definitely worth the trip!

This hotel is wonderful. The staff are very good - helpful, accommodating, informed, with perfect English. The rooms are immaculate and perfectly designed, modern and spacious and very comfortable. We were staying in the smallest room type with the smallest balcony yet it still felt quite large - I can only imagine how wonderful the more expensive rooms must be. The room itself was perfectly constructed with every single detail in place and finished. Even the closet doors were high quality. The bathroom was large and perfectly laid out. The bed and linens were high quality and every comfortable. Everything in the room was perfect.
The free breakfast is also truly 5-star, with a complete spread of any and all breakfast food you could desire - seriously, everything is provided. Also, having free high-speed wireless was so nice.
The location is wonderfully secluded, but just a 10 minute drive to the small city Torres Vedres. Although it's just a small city it has everything you might need when out for the day - a few cute plazas, some nice restaurants, food shopping, and little street markets on the weekends.
We spent a week staying here and would definitely do it again and recommend it to friends. Oh, it's also just a 20 minute (very circuitous) drive to some VERY lovely beaches. So, you can sun by the hotel's wonderful pools, or take a short drive to the beach for some sun. If you're looking for a lovely retreat away from the crowds in the city - stay here!

Luxury hotel 40 minutes from Lisboa

My husband and I took my parents away for a week to Portugal. We were delighted with the size of our rooms. The staff at the hotel were very professional and helpful. We visited Portugal the beginning of September and found the hotel very quiet which was nice as we sometimes were the only ones around to use the facilities.

Frankly I did not know what to expect as my selection of CampoReal was based on expediency (location and amenities) rather than facility. Once there my wife and I both agreed we had made an excellent selection. The room was more than adequate; a coffee/tea maker and small micro wave would've been a bonus but all in all we were quite satisfied. The pool was superb and I swam as often as possible, the included breakfast buffet was exceptional and sumptuous as were the dinners/suppers. The setting/location was majestic and tranquil and the architecture of the premises was truly magnificent. The staff were the most gracious and accommodating personal I've encountered in my varied travels. My only real complaint was the rather unusual pool times; 10 AM is quite late for North Americans like myself. Most fitness advocates go swimming or workout early in the morn. The gym was adequate but one treadmill was broken all week; when I arrived in the early AM the remaining treadmill was occupied. The programming/control features of the machines were troublesome at best, non-responsive at worst and I've used gyms all across N.A. Also the equipment was facing the wrong way. One woman focused intently on the treadmill expressed shock upon discovering a man/me was working out behind her. Still the gym was sufficient for a good workout and that's all that really mattered. Would I go back? in a heartbeat. Next time it'll be for a romantic vacation with more opportunity to explore the sites.

Service excellent. Very relaxed hotel.

Great family and activity hotel. Staff very attentive. I was very impressed when a bunch of rowdy misbehaving kids for a resort villa were swiftly removed from the hotel by the management. Also sometimes at a 5 star hotel the prices for basics like water, refreshments and bar drinks can be exorbitant so it was great that the prices here were very reasonable. Some parts of the hotel aren't in use any more like the kids play area and this should be updated in the details.

Honeymoon hotel - very classy

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the comforts of a luxury hotel. Staff extremely helpful - rooms classy - food great. Easy bus trip from nearby Torres Vedras for day trip to Madrid. Would highly recommend.

service was outstanding.luxury 5 star hotel at a great price.outdoor swimming pool for summer months--indoor pool all year--we got a hotel room overlooking the pool and golf course--fabulous. 3 restaurants--including a top rated michelin gourmet restaurant which was great.casual rerstaurants,a wonderful library bar.outstanding.30 minutes north of lisbon.perfect location for day trips to the lisbon coast,obidos,nazare,etc...HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Good base from which to explore

Just returned from a 1 week family holiday in August. Overall we were very happy with our stay. Our interconnecting rooms were clean and furnished to a high standard with lovely views over the golf course. As others have previously said, the air conditioning keeps the room comfortable at night but it certainly isn't cold. The club house bar/restaurant was excellent for luchtime snacks, but we were not impressed with the buffet restaurant in the evening. The food was bland and barely warm so for this reason we ate out most nights at the excellent local restaurants. No tea available at breakfast either (unless you like peppermint or camomile). A car is essential because the hotel is in the countryside but the bonus is that there are many historic towns and vilages within one hour's drive to explore and of course Lisbon. We played 4 rounds of golf at the resort and can highly recommend the course. It was in great condition and a real test of skill. The hotel wouldn't need to change much for this to be a true 5* experience. Good value for money and would go back, but the hotel needs to develop an atmosphere and improve the quality of food served in the main restaurant.
