Our room was spotless, it had a renovated bathroom and bedroom, both which were a little larger than we’d expected from the photos. Our balcony on the 3rd floor overlooked the side street and down into the Puerta del Sol. The windows were soundproofed, though being right in such a busy area we could still hear some of the noise outside, I had no trouble sleeping through it though. The buffet breakfast (€15pp) was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We would be very glad to stay here again in the future. Great property in a great location.

There is no other hotel in Madrid quite like Hotel Europa- it offers the best location (right next to Puerta del Sol) and the best value for what you pay. This is the small hotel that has everything you need to make a visit to Madrid unforgettable! The staff go out of their way to accommodate your requests and the café gets you going throughout the day with good-quality food and beverages. Honestly, this is the place to stay!!

There are many wonderful things to say about the Hotel Europa. The location on the Plaza de Puerta del Sol makes it easy to walk to many of the major sites and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Madrid. It is also just steps from the Metro and Cercanias trains. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Madrid, though I will take a taxi to and from the airport (33 euros), because it required several transfers using public transportation.

The room was clean, large and comfortable. We initially were assigned an interior room, but on request were given a room with view of the plaza, busy and probably a bit noisier, but good windows/balcony doors kept the noise down to a reasonable level.

Rooms are very soundproof, considering the noisy location. If you want a quiet night of sleep, get an interior facing room. Rooms overlooking the plaza have a nice view, but are noisier throughout the whole night because the city never sleeps. However, this hotel does a much better job of soundproofing with thicker walls and windows than other hotels in the area. Service is impeccable and everything is well appointed. The bathroom, especially is spacious with an updated shower that has consistent hot water and excellent water pressure. Nice bath products too.

We were a group of ladies who went for a long weekend. We loved this place for many reasons, it was a 20/25min drive from the airport. (Uber was cheaper than €33 euros we paid for 1 taxi for 4) . It had 24hr checkin (our flight was delayed) it was close to the hustle and bustle of Madrid but also a 5/10 min walk in any direction took you to a quiet courtyard too. The staff from check in, to the cleaners were great. The triple rooms were spacious, perfect for 3 people. If you do want the view of the Plaza be aware it will be noisy. Our rooms were towards the back and we didnt hear anything , so it was great. This place felt very safe too, which was very important.
The only thing that i would say wasnt good was, no milk is provided with the complimentary tea and coffee in th room. You had to buy the milk yourself. As we werent there for long this didnt bother us, as we just picked up our morning drinks from the various cafes around. If you are looking for a good cup of English breakfast tea near the Hotel, try Cafe & Te, we found it on the morning we were leaving hahaha

The hotel is located in a great location - Plaza de Sol. You are close to the subway, restaurants, shops, and just a few blocks from the Gran Via. The staff was great, as were the amenities. They have a restaurant onsite, which is a great place to have a drink and people watch. You are right off the plaza, so there is quite a bit of noise at night, but it didn't bother us. Would stay here again.
