Great hotel and staff, if you rent a car - it will be amazing. If not, you may have some difficulty getting rides from city center, but can easily ask a restaurant or store to call a taxi if needed. Fantastic hotelstaff and very clean.

Ok, for a night.

The location felt a bit iffy - in an industrial area. Yet it was easy to drive downtown for dinner. I’m not sure if there was bus service. If not, one would need a car or taxi. There were many offerings for breakfast, including eggs which we appreciated. The coffee however, came from a machine and had a weird taste.

This property was located away from downtown, which was great for a quiet neighborhood. Parking was ample and free. Breakfast had several options every morning and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend for anyone traveling to the region of Parma.

The Holiday inn express had its quality it’s known for, the breakfast was amazing! But we could not secure a taxi and had to walk 20min with luggage to the hotel that was far from everything. It’s great if you have a car, but we did not, and public transportation stops long before the hotel. The staff were able to arrange taxis for the rest of our stay.

This Hotel has good parking for large vehicles. The man at check in was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi in the room was not good. We ate in the restaurant and the waiter was very good and was also there at breakfast. The man and woman on reception at check out were not so friendly and quite dismissive when we were trying to get Wi-Fi in the reception area. Couldn’t be bothered to help.

The Hotel is nice and clean. The room was a good size and nice. The only thing is the walls can be a little thin and you can hear the people in the next room. The breakfast is good and the restaurant has a nice menu. Everything is a 4 or 5 minute drive or the front desk will call you a taxi. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for five nights as our base for exploring the region and it was perfect for us! Walkable to the old town, staff- especially Luigi, were exceptionally helpful and patient with our minimal Italian. The breakfast buffet had a great range and made for a satisfying start to the day. Highly recommend!

Good clean hotel and breakfast - don’t eat dinner

Lots of free parking. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean. Large bathroom. About a 30 minute walk from central.
Our main concern came at dinner ( if you can go anywhere else for dinner rather than eat at the hotel). The service was so slow we ended up leaving before we were served dessert ( just one waiter for over ten tables). We had the chef recommended salmon steak and it was very bony and was served with cold potatoes. The bread that was served was very old and dry.
We enjoyed walking to see the baptistery and the chapel in central.
All in all a good place to stay but not to have lunch or dinner

A great hotel if driving further south in Italy

We used this hotel as a stopover heading north from the Tuscany area, and to visit the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums relatively nearby. It was everything you expect from a Holiday Inn. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The included breakfast was good, and the food in the restaurant was fine. WiFi was excellent. We’d stay here again if needed.

As expected, clean modern hotel. Good points , nice staff, secure underground car park (extra fee).
Bad points too far out of town behind a rough looking block of apartments, didn't fancy the safety of car so paid for the underground car park. Air conditioning 'doesn't work' making uncomfortable nights sleep. Restaurant 'closed' -too often these temporary things conveniently save the hotel money....hmmm ,Tricky to find , seems in an odd location

Very handy for the airport. Check-in and check-out was very simple. We arrived off the plane tired and 2 hours before the normal check-in time. The receptionist arranged Housekeeping to prepare our room within 30 minutes, which was really welcome and appreciated. Breakfast was ample and varied (for a Holiday Inn Express!)

This hotel is somewhat basic, but room was clean and staff were great! Breakfast was nice, good selection. Location is not far from the highway (which was what we wanted as it was a stopover) so not ideal for someone without a car and wanting to explore Parma city centre.

The hotel staff were clear, helpful and easy to deal with. The hotel room was clean, all you'd really want from a Holiday Inn. It was a good location, easy drive to the city centre. You will need clear directions from the hotel staff to get there though. ASK. The breakfast was good and I would stay here again. This was our one budget hotel along our trip and it was clean, conveniently located (if you're driving), fairly good breakfast, good sized room and good service. Not much more we'd want.

Hotel modern and clean, large bedroom and double bed though sadly mattress too firm for my wife and I. We had dinner in the restaurant but our table was close to the reception and bar so the dining experience was not that good and the food was just ok.

We stayed just 2 nights to tour Parma. The hotel was very clean, comfortable & the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was better than expected & they even had soy milk, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. We definitely would stay here again. Location was great too!

Typical HIE but nicer food

Although very typical of HIE hotels, the food is much better than most and the service at breakfast I'd great. Because I stay regularly, the lady who serves brings me my fresh coffee without asking. (Other guests have machine coffee). So top points on service!

Only spent one night, breakfast good, reception staff very helpful, spoke English without prompting or hesitation, morning receptionist helped point the way to 'Punto Blue' office at toll booths which we missed due to presence of HGV's at tolls.
Only problem was that satnav didn't recognise hotel post code, (think previous reviewer mentioned this) Google earth gave different post code which satnav recognised

Close to the City Center

We had one of the three lower ground rooms that were non-smoking. The room itself was nice. The problem was ants and quite a few of them. We didn't see them until the morning when they were all over the sink and in our towels. I informed the frontbdesk who didn't appear surprised but was very apologetic. The food in the hotel restaurant was okay and the service could have been better.

Great hotel & service

We spent the weekend at this hotel and couldn't be more satisfied. The city was all covered in snow but the rooms were warm and cozy. Very good-size room, very clean and well equipped. We didn't have a car so we made use of the complimentary bike rental, as the hotel is a bit far from the city centre - very close if you have a car, though. Internet access was complimentary too, and the breakfast buffet was good for Italian standards - they could get a better coffee machine, though. The concierge gave us a free map of the city and highlighted major routes and sight-seeing destinations, which was also very useful for our short visit.

All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would thoroughly recommend it.

The hotel meets the bare minimum of needs. It was clean but had no frills. Our room was on the ground floor and there was construction ladders and staging outside our window which would've made it easy for someone to break in. The hotel is not near the town and there is really nothing near the hotel. The breakfast was not good.

A little difficult to locate when driving Sign on main road was very small. Room was a little small, but clean as was the bath. Desk clerk proved very helpful in using internet in lobby by translating the Italian!

You get what you pay for but in a good way

Apart from the discussions at check-in whether or not our room could really accommodate 4 adults (which it easily could), the staff were very friendly and helpful. They all try to speak English and communication was absolutely ok [but we do speak a little Italian as well]. The Hotel is exactly what we expected, the room was fine, the en-suite bathroom clean and there were enough towels, shower gel etc. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly well stocked and offered quite a variety of food (I always eapect less in Italy) and we all left well fed. The location of the hotel is not very charming but it is only a 5 minute car ride to the historical centre and the hotel staff will show you where you can leave the car close to the centre. All in all, we spend a happy night there and for a bargain price. It's exactly as you expect a Holiday Inn to be.

A Touch of America in Italy

Many times when staying in hotels throughout Italy, you'll find that the star ratings are not equal.
This was my second time staying in this hotel. My room, this time, was a bit smaller, but it was still on an American standard of hotel stays.
I would stay there time and time again. I would also recommend it to anyone who's looking for a nice place in Parma.

Good value for money... far from centre

We enjoyed the hotel itself. We had a large room with a large bathroom and great shower. The room was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is located far from the city centre, but can be done in a long walk or via bus. Taxis are rather expensive. It would be best to have a car. The internet is too expensive and doesn't even really work when you pay 3 euros an hour for it!

Ficamos apenas uma noite em Parma e escolhemos esse hotel. Um pouco afastado do centro se estiver a pé, mas de carro é bem tranquilo.

Atendimento, embora não tenham sido rudes, não demonstraram simpatia, mas nada que comprometesse a estadia.

Café da manhã achamos um pouco abaixo do que poderia oferecer, para um hotel desse padrão.

Quartos são bons e com bom estacionamento na frente. Chuveiro poderia melhorar.

Hôtel agréable. Chambre pour 4 personnes trop petite pour circuler confortablement. Lit supplémentaire pas très confortable - il s'agit d'un canapé convertible. Aussi pour ce genre de chambre une clé pour la salle de bain serait souhaitable. Ceci dit cela reste un bon rapport qualité prix pour 4 personnes, bien pour une étape.

Fijn hotel op wandelafstand van het zeer gezellige centrum. (Ca 2-3 km) Er was ruim voldoende parkeergelegenheid. De kamers zijn netjes en het bed is heel goed.
Het ontbijt (bij de prijs inbegrepen) is zeer uitgebreid. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug!

Not to expensive and good distance to the center. However TV broken in the first room, second room someones elses socks on the floor, Airco not woking. Measured it, it was 24 degreed while set on 18 or 14 of 10. Doesnt matter. Breakfast the weirdest things. You had to cook your own eggs, according to the in 8 minutes. Should have been 16. Bread not ready available, butter not in sight etc.
