The overall state of the property was great! the rooms amazing, the bathrooms with large showers and counters amazing. The breakfast was exceptional \" in house baked bread\" full cheese and prosciutto selection mimosas and pastries were fantastic and fresh.

The room was hot and very stuffy. I thought the A/C was broken, but was informed by the staff that A/c wasn’t allowed after Sept. 15??!!
The hotel was nice, grand. The breakfast was very good and the food staff very friendly. The front desk staff were not outgoing like the rest of the staff. The hotel is a thirty minute walk to city center and the train station.

A beautiful hotel. Very attentive staff. Our room was lovely and quiet with a bathroom that fits my partner (6 feet tall- most showers here are too small!) Our terrace was nice but we could not use it due to our neighbors who smoked at all hours of the night and day. Parma had the most smoking of any city we visited so I would not book a terrace if you are not also a smoker. The hotel is truly a city hotel so the gym and garden are both small though well kept. We walked to all corners of the city without issue from here. Also had plenty of parking. Did not try the breakfast as it was 15 euro each. We got breakfast from a local cafe for 10 euro total for two people (2 coffees each and 1 sandwich and 3-4 pastries).

My favorite hotel the whole stay in Italy, beautiful, great location to the city center, wonderful staff and super cozy robes. The only thing was it didn’t get very cool in the rooms compared to other hotels we stayed in. But regardless I would still highly recommend!

The hotel was exceptional, with high quality finishes, bed linen etc.
Excellent breakfast. They kindly upgraded our room.
Approx 10 -15 min walk into centre. Local area not great.
Good secure parking inside grounds and underground.
Nice grounds but be prepared with insect repellent. Could be utilised more and maybe add jacuzzi or similar.

This property is impressive. The building looks like an official building close to downtown Parma, within walkable distance of the old town. The hotel main hall is stunning, and extremely well kept, very clean, with amazing ceiling heights. The rooms are huge, old but stylish. The staff is helpful and efficient. We did not expect anything special, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were able to enjoy the city and all the good places within walkable distance. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to enjoy Parma in a stylish place.

Beautiful hotel but not convenient without a car

Checked in on a Sunday where most places are closed. The reception wasn't proactive in providing helpful info regarding places to go and see or places to eat. The hotel had a minimal menu which made it difficult for a solo traveller as all dishes were for sharing and I was forced to eat in my room as the dining room was not open on Sunday and did not have the option to eat in the lounge or in the garden. Their inclusive breakfast and dinner on my next day was definitely 5 stars.

I had just booked a tour where I had to find my way to the pickup spot over 30 mins away to walk. I later find out that the hotel could have done the booking with pickup at the hotel.

For a 5 star hotel, it would have been helpful if upon my booking, they would have reached out to tell me they could help with any tour bookings. Also a day or two prior to my arrival, an email with directions to the hotel whether driving or from the train station would have been helpful as there was no assistance available at the train station on which bus to take. When I provided this feedback to the receptionist upon arrival, she said I could have called which means I should incur long distance charges when this is information all the other hotels I stayed along my journey did and they were lower rated hotels but in my opinion provided the best experience. The service should match the opulence of the hotel.

Personally I would avoid this hotel if traveling italy. Room was dark with only one small roof light. Not like the pictures of the room we booked. We asked to move to any other room but was told as we had already entered it would need to be cleaned so they they refused even though we hadnt put anything down

Breakfast was ok when we eventually got our menu 45mins after sitting down but as it was a buffet type we didnt need it in the end.

We ended up leaving after the first night as it was that disappointing. Staff were rude and didnt even ask when we checked out early if everything was ok. We left quietly in a bit of shock.

Far from 5 star service. Tired hotel.

Five Star Treatment

What an unexpected find! This hotel gives you the 5-star treatment. The decor and rooms are gorgeous and the food was wonderful (dinner and breakfast). But the best part was the helpful staff. So kind and accommodating. They made the stay feel like home. The hotel was within walking distance of Parma for me (the hotel arranged a taxi when my partner went). The grounds were nice but I would have liked to have seen a little more care and flowers, though we may have been out of season.

It is a beautiful hotel. Our only issue was with the fact that our room was located on the main floor beside the entrance. The high ceilings and the echo noise from the lobby area was quite noisy. In addition at this time of year they do not have air conditioned so to get fresh air we had to open these beautiful windows facing the front of the hotel. We had to smell the cars engine from cars parked right under our room window. We also had to smell the smoke from the smokers being out for a smoke and chatting with other smokers near the front door and under our bedroom window which was unfortunate. As a result we had to keep our bedroom window closed. I really think that they should not rent these rooms close to the lobby area and use them for storage or move the parking area at a fair distance from people's bedroom windows.

Besides the issue above we have no complaint. Ricardo the server at their restaurant was fantastic.

The room was large but the second room of the suite had only a table and two chairs. No couch no comfortable chairs. The bathroom was down a spiral flight of stairs from the bedroom. Terribly inconvenient. Dangerous especially at night. Worried about falling down the stairs. No privacy in the bathroom and very noisy. The shower floor tile was very slippery when wet. There also was a door in the bathroom that opened into a common hallway. Could hear workman talking and was surprised when sitting in the bedroom to hear someone come into our bathroom. Didn’t make me feel safe.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel. It’s clearly just been renovated and is in excellent condition. Whilst in the centre the walk from the hotel to the main centre ( 10 minutes ) is through an ‘interesting’ area , not unsafe but definitely didn’t feel comfortable. The room I had was a duplex which I wasn’t aware of when I booked with the toilet downstairs which was strange as was in the hotel basement . There was an emergency exit door which is fine but they should state clearly it’s a one way door . I also felt the cheap wall hair dryer was very dated and not functional for a 5 star hotel . And thanks for being Pet friendly and not chargi by extra .

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s conveniently located just a short 10 minute walk from all the main attractions. The room was spacious & clean, the piano bar was a great place to stop in for a nightcap. The only qualm I have is that the staff isn’t the most attentive- I would call it leaisurley service. I waited at the front desk for a few minutes before anyone arrived to check me in. I was the only person in the piano bar when I first arrived and it took about 15 minutes to get a cocktail. All in all, it was an absolutely lovely stay but if you’re a traveler with a set schedule, build in some extra time for any of the hotel services.

The property is very elegant. The suite where the bathroom is downstairs is spacious but the spiral stairs can become tiresome. The only negative for my family is there was not a small gym with this hotel. This was such a small issue that we will return for all of our stays in Parma.

Elegant boutique hotel located in a park-like setting just outside the city center. Best to take a cab if you are arriving by train, but once at the hotel, it's an easy and lovely ten to 15-minute walk to get to the main part of town. Our room, which we expected to be basic, was instead enormous and beautifully decorated. Very quiet and great for sleeping. Strong WI-Fi. The marble bath had a double rainhead shower. The hotel was built to be a hospital and has grand proportions. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and delicious, with the added bonus of optional garden tables outside. The staff was wonderful -- friendly and extremely helpful. As hotels go, this one is a special gem!

The hotel is amazing... Really beautiful public rooms and bedrooms. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The bar room is quite beautiful..The ONLY negative was the price of drinks in the bar. They are just about double what they should cost. The walk to the center of town takes about 15 minutes.

The Park Hotel Pacchiosi is a high end hotel with many nice authentic features. I was upgraded to a suite with the bathroom down a spiral staircase. This beautiful building has been tastefully restored and makes for a fine hotel. I will be a back and recommend to my clients also

It is a wonderful hotel located 15 minutes from city centre.Access to all major POI in Parma. Room is clean and reasonable size and comfortable.The only issue we had is lack of service in the bell service. We checked in on Saturday afternoon and found no bellboy available to help us for the 4 big luggage to our rooms. We check out on Sunday, and there are no bellboy working eother. otherwise everthing is great.

A remarkable high end renovation of a century old hospital structure. Our room (102) was palatial and the breakfast was quite good, although pretty much self-serve. The hotel location is a moderate distance from old town (15 or 20 minutes on foot) and the trek takes one through a transitional neighborhood. There is no shopping in the area and the closest coffee shop is a few blocks away. My wife liked the location because it was away from the hustle of downtown Parma.

The Park Hotel Pacchoisi is a stunning, elegant hotel. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The staff was amazing! Someone was always there to help with recommendations and directions. They could not have been nicer. The PHP is located about 10-15 minutes from the \"city center\" but this was a non-issue and a nice walk. If you are going to the train station, the hotel will arrange a taxi since it is a longer walk. Taxi service is prompt and the cost is reasonable.

Hotel was very nice and staff was friendly. New hotel only 3 years old but very beautiful and elegantly decorated. Breakfast was nice and had very good coffee.

The only problem with the hotel is the location. It is quite a walk to the old town; which causes you to waste a lot of time going back and forth if you want to take a break during your day and go rest. There is a beautiful nearby park on the way to the old town. The detour to the park adds a few minutes, but it is worth the extra walk.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. It's a bit removed from the historical center of Parma, and we found the ongoing music in the halls, combined with the empty feeling of the hotel, to be a bit off-putting. It is clean and modern and we would stay there again.

Very nice looking hotel BUT!!!

The room we were given was on the first floor. It was a nice room but then we discovered that to go to the bathroom, you had to walk down a steep, spiraling staircase, about 17 steps and there it was, no door just the commode and a shower. We refused and went back to the desk and the man behind it said the only thing he could offer us was a junior suite on the 2nd floor at much more per night. We had to take it. We went to the room and this was clearly not a junior suite. It was a slightly larger room and there was a small sitting area outside and that’s it. It was a clear rip-off!! The hotel was very nice and the young women at the front desk were very helpful whenever we had questions. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Hotel is about a 14-minute walk to the heart of town and much more activity. If you go here, insist on a room on the second floor.
