Wonderful stay. We booked a very last minute deal, and we're upgraded to a superior room with a balcony. Great staff, breakfast was plentiful, room was clean with superb veiws. They have paddle boards and kayaks free to use and direct access to the lake which was great. Also highly recommend Pizzeria da Jonny takeaway just a couple minutes walk up the road.

My friend and I booked two lake view rooms which were lovely. Unfortunately I reported at least 3 or 4 times that my wall lights didn’t work, my tea was not replenished nor was my water in my bar fridge. I eventually gave up. The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful apart from one lovely girl on reception but this did not apply to staff when requesting drinks or menus. I think the hotel is in a beautiful spot and we loved our rooms but the hotel management are at fault for not training their staff to the level one would expect at this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accommodating and it was a great getaway for wife & I. Use of the bikes were nice and we we able to explore the local area. Make sure to reserve time at the wellness and enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. Will stay again if we go back to Lake Garda

not as good as it looks or sounds..

I had spend for one night a high price to stay in a hotel near the water as this was a 4* property. Bu t I was highly diaspointed as the condition of the room and the amenities were no more than a 2*. The air conditioning in the room did not work, the room and the bathroom in a very bad state as things were coming off or broken, . there was no parking at the hotel as stated. the staff was not very friendly or helpful. IN all I was very disappointed with my stay here.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The hotel staff was very friendly from the reception, to the bar and restaurant. The location is beautiful, by the lake with a lovely swimming pool area, ideal to escape from a super busy location but close to saló and many different activities. An amazing place to relax.

An older lake hotel with class and style

We really loved our stay at Hotel Spiaggio d'Oro. The location is very nice on western shores of Lago di Garda. The hotel has lake views and the restaurant, breakfast nook juts out to the lake. Overall the service was very nice except one of the receptionists who was not very user friendly to us. The other staff were great. Nice garden and swimming pool. A short walk to a beautiful promenade with great local restaurants. A small bakery just across the main road is very happening. The room is not large but very comfortable. The bath is fine and two sinks for couples. One of the best breakfasts we encountered while traveling in Europe for three weeks, I would strongly recommend the hotel though a few do it yourself amenities such as moving your own luggage to and from the car to your room. Would stay there again and the price was nice for off season.

We were at the hotel out of season so it was fairly quiet and felt very relaxed/laid-back. The outdoor pool was probably too cold at this time of year for many but my daughter still managed to go in! Being able to sit and admire the view right on the lake, whether during breakfast or dinner, was a real treat. We thought the breakfast range was excellent and evening meals/lunches were delicious. Expect to pay for the good quality of food. Our room was warm and spacious, with a nice little balcony. Staff were willing to make calls to arrange taxis and excursions for us. If you want a quiet, scenic place to relax, then this is the place for you. If you would like to explore the area more, having a car would be a good idea. Be aware, though, that out of season quite a few services/attractions nearby close down. We would recommend the taxi boat from Salo, which offered different trips around the lake on a speed boat, exclusively yours - a little pricey but very knowledgeable and courteous guide.
All of the staff at the hotel were wonderful - friendly and helpful. They made our stay so enjoyable and they are a real asset to the hotel.

Great lakefront location near Gardone and Salo.

One of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed at. Nice traditional room, clean and well appointed. Easy walks into Gardone (10 mins) or Salo (45 mins). Good facilities, pool, spa and excellent restaurant. Most of all it's the staff who make the difference, always a smile and friendly greeting. Highly recommend.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends and they didn't go wrong in their recommendation.
The staff were pleasant and breakfast was nice. We had dinner there one evening and it was delicious and the wait staff were superb.
The only negative for a 4* hotel was that the beds were not great... way to hard. Other than that ...a lovely hotel right on the lake .

Great for relaxing at Lake Garda

Lovely, relaxing quiet place on Lake Garda with a great restaurant and pleasant staff. Not a huge amount to do locally, but great for relaxing. Room 101 is quite small with insufficient space for make up and personal stuff, but we booked late so probably last available room. Not a huge issue and would return. Pool, garden, service and views are all recommended.

Brilliant, everything you could possible wish for

Brilliant, just brilliant. What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of the world. We initially arrived and we're given a room without a balcony. We asked if we could change the room to one with a balcony, even though we realised we never actually booked one. Initially the response was there were no rooms available, but determined to help us, at breakfast the next day, the receptionist approached us and said we now have a room with balcony for you. We were delighted.

The restaurant la veranda was beautiful, right near the lake front with lovely food. Definitely recommend if you just want a quiet night in and don't want to venture to neighbouring Salo for food.

Breakfast offered an excellent choice together with helpful and attentive staff.

The pool area is very well maintained and modern with a bar for drinks and snacks also available.

Overall this was a brilliant place to stay and we'd recommend to anyone looking to treat a loved one or just for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The team at Spiaggia D'oro were superb from start to finish. This really was an excellent choice!

This place was great. Amazing staff, fantastic location and brilliant food from the restaurant. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. The walk into Gardone for the ferries, drinks and food is less than 10 minutes through a park. This part of the lake was quieter, which was perfect for us, whilst still allowing easy access to the other towns through the ferries. We'll definitely stay here again.

A quiet oasis

Excellent small boutique hotel with great food and helpful and friendly staff. It's location between Salo and Gardonne does mean at least a ten minute walk to the boat and ferry stops but it is well worth it. The private gardens and swimming pool by the side ofLake Garda are well worth the effort of a ten minute walk. Will definitely go back.

We have just spent 4 nights here. The view from our balcony was stunning. The bedroom and bathroom were very well appointed. Breakfast was good( although the bread catered for German tastes). If you want a relaxing stay by the lake, this hotel is ideal, with good pool and access to lake swimming. However, it is a 10 minute walk into Gordone Riviera, to find other restaurants, shops. It also takes approx 35 minutes to walk into Salo, partly along the busy main road although there is public transport.

Beautfullly located away from the town in a really quiet place by Lake Garda with fabulous views, private jetty and large swimming pool set in lovely gardens. The hotel was very comfortable with the restaurant on the edge of the lake. All very relaxing with very helpful and welcoming reception staff.
The only flaw was service in the restaurant which was haphazard and at times extremely slow, eg. 90 minutes to serve a simple salad lunch.

Lovely family run, friendly hotel on the Lake

We recently returned from Hotel Spiaggia d'Oro after having a lovely time. The staff were very friendly and willing to please.
Our room was on the first floor and had a pool view and could see the lake to the side as well from the balcony. Perfectly placed for the afternoon sun. We could also take advantage of the Wifi connection in the room (not sure if this is the case with all rooms, as I read somewhere it was available in the reception area). The room was nicely furnished, maybe not UK 4* but no complaints.
Not much in the immediate area, but Gardone is only a 10 min walk through the park where there are shops and restaurants. Emiliano's in Gardone was our favourite with authentic Italian cuisine at a good price. Good for lunch or dinner. Salo was better than Gardone for shopping. We went in on a Sunday, it was really busy and all the Italians were out in their finery. Good if you like people watching. There is a Spar close to the hotel which is good for buying bottles of water and the popular Aperol liquer at just under 8 euros a litre if you want to bring some home.
The ferry was easy to use, once you have worked out how to read the timetable.
All in all a good base for exploring Lake Garda that I would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Spiaggia d'oro. We had a room on the second floor with a e that over looked the lake. The hotel had a wooden terrace on to the lake which we enjoyed sun bathing on on the first day. We also used the pool. The hotel has a relaxed feel and the food is of a high quality. We ate lunch at the hotel on 2 occasions and enjoyed this.

The prices at the hotel are reasonable, we drank there on most days and enjoyed a nightcap after eating in the town. The hotel has a comfortable spacious lounge area to enjoy drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great find and really great value for money Good rooms, all (I think) with balconies and decent views, at least on higher floors. Big bathrooms - US size vs. European size. Really nice restaurant (fine dining, so priced accordingly) with well-executed menu and a deep, Italian wine list. And the common areas were great too - the sitting areas on the main floor were big and comfy, lots of outdoor seating along the lake and around the pool. Pool is elegant and overall grounds are very relaxing. While not a 5-star luxury resort, it's not priced as one either. At 150 - 200 euro a night, this was an excellent value and an absolutely delightful stay. Many repeat visitors there, we noticed. We will be too if we return to the area again.

Lovely hotel, we had a room overlooking the pool & garden and towards Salo across the Lake. The location is about 25 mins walk from Salo town but very close by, about 10 mins walk through a park, were several restaurants beside the lake in the next town. Hotel was excellent, breakfast very good and fresh. We only ate once at the hotel in the evening and the food was excellent, ask about the specials! One point to note; it is not in Salo town but an easy car ride and there was reasonable parking around the town.

A lovely hotel in a lovely location!

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel, the location was lovely overlooking the lake, you could even enjoy a swim in the lake if thats what you wanted to do, the meals at the hotel were lovely and at breakfast the choice was endless. The staff were very friendly. A 10 minute walk took you to bars and restaurants. We had 10 days at this hotel but would have been happy to stay longer, at other holiday destinations we've been ready to come home after 10 days! Will definately be going back!

We had another enjoyable stay at this great Hotel. Our flight to Italy was delayed and we arrived very late, however, the Hotel called our booked taxi driver and asked if we wanted to eat and kept things open for us so we could have a meal. Great service.
All the staff are helpful and friendly, but must say the Maitre'D really knows how to work with his customers.
Whilst the Hotel food is excellent, if you fancy a change it is worth the walk into Salo to sample the restaurants there, as well as to take in the promenade of the locals on the Lake side!

The hotel is closer to Gardina Riviera rather than Salo but Salo is only a 30 min walk. Food, staff and quality of hotel is excellent. Had a really relaxing holiday and a bonus looking at the lake while you sat by the pool. Beds are really comfortable and it was never noisy, to early in the morning, so managed to sleep a lot!

This is a real gem . It has a outstanding location on the shores of Lake Garda. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with stunning views . The service is both friendly and efficient and the Restaurant has a fine Italian menu with many local specialities . The infinity pool and jacuzzi are both excellent and there is a spa within the hotel . Just do not expect a beach ( which is the English for Spaggia) as this only appears when the lake is half empty !

This was our second stay at this hotel within 9 months. it was great to return and find many of the same friendly and attentive staff still working there.
If anything we enjoyed this stay more than the first one.
It is worth eating in the hotel as the restaurant is very good, we found the quality of the food in nearby Gardone to be mixed.
As many reviewers have said it is a bit of a walk to Salo but once you leave the main road it is a quiet walk and not at all unpleasant.
We would return to this hotel again, it is ideally placed to pick up the Garda ferries at Gardoe and reception will always help put with any other trips you may wish to take part in.

A lovely hotel

Great hotel, with the best parts being the great staff and the pool right by the lake. A car is needed however as there isn't much in Barbarano and Salo is a 20 minute walk. Also, be wary of travelling outside of the main season as when we stayed there in mid May, the air conditioning was not turned on and the pool wasn't heated as advertised (and it was freezing!). Would thoroughly recommend (in season)

Superb Location

The hotel is set right along the edge of the lake with a mountainous backdrop.

The rooms slightly small but still comfortable. They were however slightly stuffy as it was on the hot side while we were there.

Breakfast is abundant. we had a selection of cold cuts, and if requested they would prepare some eggs. Also available was fruit cereal and yogurts.

Teh location of the hotel suited our needs well. We primarily wanted a base from where to venture out each day to various villages around the lake while in the evening having somewhere comfortable to relax.

There aren't very many choices for food in the evening unless you want to drive. The restaurant in the hotel serves nice dishes although we found that the size of the portions was on the small size and the prices where slightly high, more so when restaurants within the immediate vicinity (2) serve up larger, better and cheaper dishes.

The staff in the hotel were really helpful.

With regards to kids, the hotel is not entirely child friendly, however with some extra attention one can still find it easy to relax.

This hotel really lived up to our expectations. I would not hesitate to stay there again should i be n the area. Neither would i hesitate to recommend it to others.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect, right on the lake and we ate breakfast and dinner on the terrace looking onto the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and cleaned properly each day. The bathrooms are large and modern, and there is plenty of wardrobe/storage space. Each room has a small but adequate balcony with great views onto the lake. From the hotel you can walk to Gardone Riviera or into Salo where there are plenty of restaurants

We loved this hotel!!!

After choosing this hotel from the internet with no personal recommendation, we were so happy to find a friendly helpful staff, great location, good food, and such a homey atmosphere. The setting is beautiful and the surroundings were great fun to explore. We found delightful restaurants closeby and played golf on some good golf courses. We found it a plus to have a car to reach the surrounding towns and villages. We had no disappointments......even the weather was wonderful.

Ein charmantes old-style Hotel mit direktem Zugang zum Gardasee. Herzliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, abends manchmal dezentes Musikentertainment - wir hatten z. B. Sängerin mit Gitarrenbegleitung. Hotel liegt abseits vom Trubel, allerdings auch abseits vom Zentrum Salo. Was bedeutet: Man muss das Auto oder das Fahrrad nehmen, um auswärts zu essen. Etwas Make-over z. B. bei Fassade oder beim Teppich im Flur würde dem Hotel nicht schaden. Wir hatten einen entspannten, schönen Aufenthalt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

L'hôtel est incroyable. Il est idéalement placé : très proche de Salò et à proximité directe de Gardone. Possibilité de prendre le bateau à seulement quelques minutes à pieds, pour visiter tous les sites magnifiques du Lac de Garde. La piscine de l'hôtel est hyper agréable... avec en plus un accès direct permettant de se baigner aussi dans le lac. Restaurant topissime... aussi bien pour les petit-déjeuners que pour les dîners. Les repas sont servis sur une terrasse magnifique qui donne directement sur le lac. C'est très beau... hyper calme.... c'est vraiment très bon avec en plus une qualité de service absolument parfaite. Bravo à Stefano et à toute lequipe. Cet hôtel est pour nous un énorme coup de cœur. Un très grand merci à toute l'équipe...Nous avons passé un séjour incroyable !

Das Hotel kann man weiterempfehlen. Salo ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Frühstücksbuffet ist hervorragend, das Personal sehr freundlich, alles sauber, schöne Poollandschaft mit Zugang zum See, die Zimmer sind schon in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderbare Lage am See. Herrliches Frühstück. Gepflegter Garten /Pool.
Die Snackspeisekarte ist gut und preislich in Ordnung. Aber Snacks gibt es erst ab 14 Uhr 30. Die Lunchkarte ist zu abgehoben. Wenige Tische besetzt! Schade so haben wir uns mittags auswärts einen Snack gesucht.

Wir haben diese Tage sehr genossen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit herrlichem Blick über den See und nach Salo. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr großzügig. Wir waren das 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und freuen uns schon jetzt aufs nächste Mal. Ein sehr schöner ruhiger Ort zum Erholen.

Perfekt für einen Kurztrip wie unseren

Wir hatten einen sehr netten Aufenthalt. Bedingt durch das kühle Wetter konnten wir den Pool nicht verwenden. Die Terrasse liegt sehr schön und ich habe dort an den Nachmittagen die Aussicht bewundert. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker. Der Lachs hätte mit etwas weniger Hollandaise Sauce besser geschmeckt. Der Service auch beim Frühstück war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.
Es ist ein Hotel im alten Stil. Schade, dass man nicht am Wasser entlang zu Fuss nach Salo laufen kann.

Beautiful and calm location!
However, Hotel has come into age. Bathroom shower head was broken and could not be fixed at certain height / fell down, so you had to hold it.
Room floor dusty, bathroom radiator dusty.
Should not happen in this price level.
Some hote staff were very friendly, others completely uninterested.
Absolute no-go: plastic cups for water everyday for breakfast and throw-away paper placemats on the table.

Beim Frühstück erhebl. organisatorische Probleme

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, direkt am See, das Zimmer war sauber und schön eingerichtet, wir hatten vom Balkon aus einen herrlichen Blick über die Bucht von Saló. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich. Insgesamt hätte es demnach ein wirklich gelungener Aufenthalt sein können.
Doch leider zieht das extrem schlecht organisierte Frühstück, den Gesamteindruck komplett nach unten. Schließlich ist neben der Übernachtung das Frühstück das wichtigste Beurteilungskriterium.
Dafür, dass coronabedingt das Buffet hinter Plexiglas und nur mit Bedienung durch das Personal stattfinden durfte, kann keiner etwas. Aber man hätte es besser organisieren können. Teilweise standen 10 Gäste an und mussten warten, bis eine Person hinter dem Buffet den jeweiligen Gast, der mit einem Mix aus Deutsch, Englisch und Italienisch versuchte, seine Wünsche klarzumachen, fertig bedient hatte. In der Zwischenzeit trugen die beiden anderen Bedienungen Getränke an die Tische, anstatt dass zumindest eine davon kurzfristig hinter der Theke mit eingesprungen wäre. Als Gast musste man daher im Voraus genau wissen, wieviel Hunger und Appetit man haben würde, denn sich nochmal für eine Butter oder einen Joghurt anstellen zu müssen hätte dauern können. Während Honig und Marmelade in Körbchen vor dem Buffet standen, war es nicht nachvollziehbar, weshalb die sich ebenfalls eingepackte Butter und der Joghurt hinter der Absperrung befanden. Es fehlte deutlich jemand, um situationsbedingte Entscheidungen zu treffen.

Trotz Corona-bedingter Einschränkungen haben wir einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Spiaggia d'Oro genossen. Die Verantwortlichen und das Personal haben das beste aus der Situation gemacht. Das Frühstücksbuffet gab es zwar nur hinter Glas, dafür mit Bedienung. Aber etwas in der Art hatten wir erwartet. Das große ausgezeichnete Buffet vom Vorjahr war - Corona sei verwunschen - heuer natürlich nicht möglich. Wir freuen uns aber schon auf nächstes Jahr, dann hoffentlich wieder OHNE Einschränkungen.

Romantique et bien placé

Emplacement idéal au bord du lac, avec le restaurant qui permet de dîner ou même de prendre le petit déjeuner au bord de l’eau, avec la sympathique présence d’oiseaux et de canards. Très romantique. Le personnel est charmant, très agréable et serviable. Chambre propre et nous avions pris la vue partielle sur le lac et la piscine. Je suppose qu’en haute saison il est délicat de trouver une place pour se garer mais nous n’avons pas eu ce problème, les touristes n’affluant encore pas trop après la pandémie. Nous avons dîné un soir sur place et c’était très bon. Le buffet du petit dej est aussi très complet. L’enseigne sur le toit est défraîchie mais à l’intérieur tout est propre et en bon état.

Weekend al lago

Per il nostro anniversario abbiamo trascorso un weekend al Lago di Garda. Ho deciso di pernottare all'Hotel Spiaggia d'Oro dove tutto è stato perfetto, dall'atmosfera in riva al lago al servizio, dalla magnifica colazione alla perfetta cena presso il ristorante La Veranda, dalla comodità della camera con vista lago alla silenziosità di ogni ambiente.
Il personale sempre gentile, disponibile e professionale.
A meno di 100m c'è un parcheggio gratuito.
Ci ritorneremo.
