We had a wonderful stay at La Dolce Vita! The staff was so kind and helpful with anything we needed. The room was beautiful with amazing views. Breakfast was very good and we loved dining on the terrace with ocean breezes and views. The location can’t be beat steps out the door and you are in town yet our room was surprisingly very quiet and the blackout shades were much appreciated! i highly recommend staying here. Staff was above and beyond, the best!!

Had a fabulous stay here and the view from the balcony for breakfast or aperitivo is spectacular. The rooms are slightly on the small side but I think that’s Italy. The air conditioning had cool air coming from it but never seemed to really cool the room down entirely. The showers need the grout cleaned a little but everything else outweighs these. Would stay again!

Gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of town. The views at breakfast are stunning. The room is a good size and all is very clean and modern. Great choice if you want to be in the heart of Tropea, easy walk to beach and you are surrounded by shops and restaurants.

The absolute best view from any hotel in Tropea. Our stay was absolute perfection. From the view, service, hospitality, delicious drinks and bites - we can’t recommend staying here more. Perfect location, close to the beach and all restaurants / shops in town. If the corner sea view room is available, book it!

The staff are great, breakfast is great, the rooms are clean and nice, the bed is very comfortable but the pillows are too hard (and all the pillows on the bed are the same) and the towels - you get one bath towel and one hand towel per person- have a musty odor like they’ve been left in the washing machine for too long.

Fantastic location in the town. The rooms are a bit on the small side for the price. The staff were very helpful. I think an inclusive pick up and drop service for luggage from the car parking to the Hotel would be a nice touch. A 20 euro taxi fare for 2 minutes and 300 metres was a little excessive.

La Dolce Vita was an incredible experience. This hotel is a small boutique style hotel with exceptional design and charm. The staff were so kind and helpful. Giuliana helped us daily with certain requests and she was professional and attentive always. Our room was spotless and kept fresh throughout the day and night. The breakfast is made by a very kind lady. The hotel is located right by the famous ledge, with the most amazing location right from when you step outside. I will continue to stay at La dolce vita for my summers spent in Calabria!

Firstly, Francesca runs the hotel all on her own and does an excellent job. She goes above and beyond to accommodate for her guests and her efforts must be commended - she made our stay in Tropea even more enjoyable.

I think the hotel would benefit by hiring more staff - our check in was a little rushed as there was only one person working and other guests were leaving and arriving at the same time as us.

The property could also do with a little fixing as our shower was leaking.

The location is perfect as you have a view of the beach and walk out into the main strip of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was not the best we had during our month-long stay in Italy but had all the staples you would expect.

Wow! Great location with a most beautiful view overlooking the sea. I was worried about not being able to check in and park on site but it was not an issue at all. They have someone on site from 7am until 9 pm. They were so nice. The facility was very comfortable. I definitely recommend staying here if you want to stay in “old town”

Let me tell you I never leave reviews but for this hotel/b&b I felt I had too. It was as lovely as all the reviews I had read before and more. location was perfect, you are right in the heart of town and short distance to all the restaurants and bars. Plus placed right on the cliff you have your own private few from their terrace of the beach and the santuario Santa Maria dell isola and we got to see some amazing sun sets and it was a great way to start the day at breakfast.
The manager Francesca is so welcoming and friendly, she was so helpful with booking restaurants and giving advice about the town, as were all the staff, lovely people and there was never anything too much they couldn’t do for you. We became great friends with Francesca by the end of our stay, a friend for life.
The whole hotel is clean and modern, the rooms are spacious with all the usual amenities but still have the character of the original building. I would stay here again in a heart beat and tropea is very special. I can’t wait to return.

Superbly appointed - clean and uncluttered. Excellent service and very personal. Well located with access to recommended restaurants.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic stay!

We abosulutly loved our stay at La Dolce Vita! The rooms and hotel are very modern and updated. The bed and pillows are fluffy and comfortable. The breakfast served a variation of items including fresh omelettes! Our favorite part was Francesca! Who was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would recommend. It’s a bit difficult to find but just look for Pimms restaurant and the hotel should be above ( second floor). Our only suggestion would be to provide a better a/c unit. We stayed during fall so this was not a problem but I can’t imagine summers with this type of a/c unit. Perhaps adding fans would do the trick.

Best there is in Tropea

Loved it, couldn't rave about it enough. We had the best room facing the ocean, the view was sensational to wake up to every morning. Staff were fabulous. Hosted some friends 2 of the nights we were there, on the balcony. Other nights/days met lots of great people from around the world, balcony area was great to chat, have a few wines and watch the sun go down!

Excelente hospedagem!

Incrivel estadia, quartos limpos e confortáveis, excelente cafe da manha com vista para a praia e Castelo.
Unica recomendacao é que tivessem alguma ajuda para nos levar ao estacionamento para buscar o carro. Levar as malas nas ruas de pedra é bem complicado e o carro precisa de licenca para passar nas ruas.

Top Hotel in Strandnähe

Ein sehr hübsches und sauberes Hotel mitten in der Altstadt. In knapp 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss am Strand und hat auch von der Frühstücksterrasse aus eine wunderbare Aussicht aufs Meer. Alle Läden und Restaurants liegen quasi vor der Haustür.
Das Zimmer und das Bad waren stets sauber. Einzig das Kissen hätte etwas härter sein dürfen. Und bis zu einer gewissen Stunde hört man ein bisschen den Lärm der Bars in der Nachbarschaft, aber man kann trotzdem gut schlafen.
Francesca vom Hotel ist super freundlich und hat uns immer sehr gut mit unseren Anliegen geholfen.
