Not a lot of shops nearby, but 4 minutes from the Otori line so you could get places quickly and very good access to the airport. Although they have a free shuttle it makes you check out early at 900 the latest, and you can’t check in at the airport until 11am for international flights

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yokosuka Harbour Hotel and highly recommend it to others. The hotel is close to train stations, shopping and restaurants. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is 800 yen per person and was delicious. The hotel staff was very courteous and responsive.

This hotel isn't fancy by any stretch and the rooms are pretty basic, but it is clean and well-managed and the staff is friendly. They offer a really decent western-style breakfast for about $7 and the location of the hotel is extremely convenient if you are in Yokosuka for Navy business. Overall a pretty nice option for lodging.

Average Hotel, WiFi is very weak because they don't have modems in every room, you have to log in to the nearest one. AC system was very dirty, I didn't use the heater. Limited parking spaces.

Flying Solo in Yokosuka

Honestly the location of the hotel was the best feature. It was maybe .7 miles from the main gate of the Naval Base. Upon arriving the hotel staff customer service was mediocre at best. The room itself was small and the bed was uncomfortable. With that said, overall it wasn’t terrible. In fact I have stayed in places that were slightly worse. The location of the hotel was convenient. I had breakfast at the hotel and I enjoyed it.

Convenient location and cheap prices

Hotel Harbour Yokosuka is located in a convenient area of Yokosuka. You will be located in a close walking distance from two major train stations, restaurants, and malls. My overall stay was enjoyable. The room was much nicer than I thought it would be for its price in Japan. (I heard most rooms are small because the country is small) The only issue I came into was room service. I had my sign facing towards, \"Make up the room please\" while I left for the day and came back to it saying, \"Do not disturb\" with a bag of towels hanging off of the doorknob. Now I don't know whether it was a guest of the hotel or room service workers who switched my sign around, but it happened three times.. Very suspicious. Otherwise the room was kept very clean. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay at in Yokosuka.

Ample room for two twin beds.

Surprisingly close to the Naval Base, this quiet hotel is more spacious than I anticipated. The street noise is non existent but the walls are paper thin, so that I got to hear another guest's snoring. It was exceptionally clean. The front desk folks are very pleasant but not great with English language skills.

This was my first ever trip to Japan and didn't know what to expect from a hotel. This hotel was nice...not extravagant but nice. The room was small but it was just what I needed while in Yokosuka. If you need just a small room without any special accommodations, I highly recommend the Harbour Hotel!

Good location

The hotel is small and cozy, and as such has more of a \"motel\" type of feeling, but that isn't a bad thing at all. This may be standard fare for Japanese hotels, but there's complimentary tea in the lobby, a reasonable breakfast offering you can buy, and a small laundry room if you need that as well. Perhaps the biggest perk to this hotel is the fact that it is a 5 minute walk from Daiei, a well sized shopping mall, as well as a convenience store, arcade, and sushi restaurant. This fact alone propelled me to rate this hotel high and highly recommend it.

Nice location, really close to the Navy Base

The hotel is located close to the Navy Base, a mall, and a few eateries. ALloyd within walking distance. The only complaint I have is the over all comfort of my stay in a non-smoking room. The air conditioner worked grea, but rather loud, and smell of cigarettes could seep into your room. Also, the beds must have been the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in in years! I only slept for 4 hours after 10 hours of walking in Yokohama.

We had a nice stay here. There were a couple of issues: the steps up to the building are steep (and I was on crutches) and we couldn't find a handicapped entrance, although maybe there was one. Staff was very friendly and helpful; especially the lady serving us breakfast. Room was fine, would have been nice if we had wireless--there was free cable but we opted not to go down to the hotel to activate it.

The bed was comfortable, room was clean. All in all a good stay!

Works for a short stay

Acceptable enough of a hotel to stay at again, if needed, but definitely 1 or 2 notches below a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton Inn. Not a 1st choice, but ok for our needs and visit. Three (3) star rating out of 5.

Visited Yokosuka for the day to see the IJN ship Mikasa with family (sons wanted to visit) and booked two rooms. Staff / desk people very helpful and spoke English (most, not all) very well; no difficulties. Rooms and bathroom small but worked. Bed sheets clean, though the hotel does show it is an older place. Family did sleep acceptable. Not a Ritz, but given the town, a professional run place doing well with the facilities it has to offer. Only major issue was the water pressure would drop / fluctuate in the shower. We arrived late / dark and found a nice 24hr food shop about 200 meters away, but it is a bit spooky part of town at night. One can walk from the train station (estimate 1.0 – 1.5 km), but we took cab as it was raining as well and did not know the area. Very close walk to the shopping mall.

Travelers beware! Room cancellation!

I had made a reservation and PAID in full for my room several weeks in advance. We arrived a day late in the evening of the second night of our reservation. We were not expecting a refund either since we were late due to personal reasons. When we tried to check in we were told they had already given up our room since we had not called prior to that point. We told them the room was already paid for in full and we should not have to do a precheck-in, especially since we were travelers. Needless to say, in a country that is renown for its customer service and politeness, we were never even given an apology and they were quite rude which was a first for us in this country! It was 8 at night and we were left to look for another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel....it seems they are rather greedy in trying make more money on a room that was clearly already taken and paid for. One last note, it was much smaller than it appeared online, dirty as well. Very disappointed.

Decent hotel for a decent price

The laundry facilities are two washers and dryers located in a closet outside of the hotel, they cost a bit much for coin operated services. But it is convenient and clean. the rooms are comfortable, though there was no choice for smoking or non smoking, so if you have problems with that, stress it at check in.

The staff speak very good english it's easy to communicate without having any language barrier. Rooms are clean the whole environment is neat. I love the location it's extremely close to the honch which is a nightlife area. It's only a 1min walk. It's also close to the train station it's probably 30sec. The only thing I don't like about the hotel is that the beds aren't comfy enough. The pillows are too hard they hurt my neck.

Hotel Harbour Yokosuka is a very nice value for a close to the Navy base hotel. The single room has a nice sized bed and there is also a couch (that pulls out into a hide-a-bed). Most of the single rooms close by have barely enough room to move around the bed. It is about a 3 minute walk to the train station and about 7-10 minutes walk to the Navy base gates. The interior and rooms do seem a bit old, but that seems to result in lower prices since they are not spending money on modernization. The hotel is clean and well maintained, just give the impression of having been there for a while. Rooms have wired hi-speed internet. I have stayed here on multiple occasions and will most likely stay here again!

The hotel is in a great location, convenient to two train stations and all of the downtown bars & restaurants. It's easy to get to Tokyo, Kamakura, and the beaches. The facilities are pretty standard for what we found in Japan - clean and functional.

Close to Navy Base and train station Yokosuka Chuo

I would ultimately say that the hotel was good. The hotel is close to the navy base (about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace). Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable. As a tall person (approximately 6'3\"), my feet hung off the foot of the bed, and it felt like I was sleeping on the box springs. My back, shoulders, and ankles hurt most mornings because I could not get comfortable. It isn't the fault of the hotel, but it was something that affected me personally. All of the other amenities were in good working order. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Inexpensive and comfortable

There are some oddities about getting breakfast (you have to go to the desk every morning you want breakfast). But otherwise it is a pleasant western-style hotel, mostly frequented by Japanese businessmen and couples on holiday. It is close to the harbour and the American naval base, and there are lots of pleasant and inexpensive Japanese and Chinese restaurants nearby. Two minute walk from Shioiri Station on the Keikyu Line, with frequent service to Yokohama and Tokyo.

The rooms are a bit tiny, but you're right across the street from train/bus station, Daiei Mall, and the side entrance to the Naval Base. There's lots of great food options as well! The free Internet is icing on the cake.
