The close proximity to three train stations, a shopping mall, several restaurants, and the military bases make Mercure Yokosuka the ideal place to stay.

I booked 7 nights there and put in a request for an upgrade to a bay view, and it was well worth it! Not only did I get an excellent view of everything, on my last night I was able to watch a fireworks show taking place at Yokohama Port (approximately 25 kilometers away) from the comfort of my room.

The rooms were clean. The staff were very helpful, especially when I sent my suitcase to the hotel and they kept it safe until I checked in. The laundry room was readily available, though I think it would help if it had a change machine. I never did take advantage of the restaurants within the hotel, but then again I was constantly on the move and there were several other restaurants available.

If I do come back next year, not only will I stay there again, I hope to get the same room.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and are patient with English speakers. Laundry on site is well kept, you may have to hang dry some clothes in your room. Breakfast is great and caters to both Japanese and western cuisines. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days or more frequent if needed. There is a smoking room on site, be respectful and help keep it clean. Good location for vacation or work.

夜景を数分眺めたくフロントデスクの方はお客様のじゃまにならなければ、、と言われましたが、レストランの方にはokay は頂けませんでした

Clean room, very helpful, relaxed staff that leave you alone. Excellent buffet breakfast, nice views. I have stayed here 5 times, I plan to again every Tokyo visit. It is an oasis in a relaxed part of Japan that always recharges me.The queen bed is very comfortable. While this property is older it is clean and has enough space.

Excellent staff from the receptionists to the servers at breakfast.
Housekeeping is also exceptional.
They provide not only hairdryer but curry iron and Japanese high-end skin care products.
Location is super ideal, right by the station and across from the mall and near the Naval base.
I have been staying here for 10 years every time I visit my family in Yokosuka.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many, many times over the past 12 years. We stay here strictly because of the hotels location. It is a few steps from Shiori train station and directly across from COASKA, a large shopping center with restaurants, grocery, and clothes. The hotel itself is rundown. It desperately needs a refresher. The rooms and amenities are super basic. The bathrooms are barely clean but if you are looking for convenience, this one can’t be beat.

Lastly, although we’ve stayed here numerous times. We’ve never been welcomed back at check-in or offered any extra benefits.

Staff (front desk and meal service staff) were very gracious and accommodating, changed our room to a larger one, as even the deluxe rooms are quite small for two.

Breakfasts were excellent. I had the miso soup with added vegetables (seaweed, burdock root pickled radish, fresh or dried tofu, etc.) everyday and was in heaven. Overall, a very good value for the amenities provided. We'd stay here again, hands down.

Hotel is in a great location, on the Haneda Airport/Yokohama Keikyu line and literally steps from the Shioiri station stop. Across the street is a large mall with a fabulous grocery store with a fine selection of sake (an entire wall of it!), shochu and Japanese beer, whisky and some gin plus standard beers, wines and spirits. On the third floor is a cluster of 8 to 10 restaurants to choose from. Mall is open late until 10 every day too.
One of the best restauarnts with tasting menus is a few minutes walk (Amalfi Blu), but there a many, many restaurants within a 5 to 10 minites walk and featuring authentic Japanese choices. Don't miss stopping for artisnal ice cream at the Million Dollar shop. Great cocktails are served fro 17:00 onward at Bar Victorian (I had the signature Victorian) but all are excllently designed cocktails, best back bar I've seen outside of NYC.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The rooms are very small by Western standards. This hotel does offer parking. The rooms are clean and there is an eco-friendly option for Cleaning. The distance from the Navy base is OK, but not optimal. However, the hotel is very close to Shiori station.

There were a lot of amenities, and the staff were helpful when I needed help.

There was a problem where the hotel policy specified adults as over the age of 13, but in Expedia, you can select a child for anyone up to the age of 17. The hotel tried to charge more for the child based on their policy. This should be fixed between the hotel and Expedia, where selecting a child over 13 will include them in the adult rates.

I really love this location, it was my second visit.

I did not have the breakfast or eat in the restaurants.
I had a 16th floor room with a lovely view.
The bed is big and comfortable, the instant coffee and towels are replenished daily, as is the bottle water. The fridge and hotpot are very convenient, I get my food at combini for breakfast and snacks.

My first visit they cleaned the room every day. This visit they had not cleaned by the 7th day and I had to request it.

The room had not gotten dirty, but I wish they had followed the 4 day schedule of vacuuming and changing the sheets.

I will return in January, I still love staying here. The staff are so nice and so good about storing luggage both before and after checkin and checkout. I feel it is safer here than in many hotels as it is taken to a back room.

There are so many eating and shopping options nearby, including the Coaska Mall, Dobuita Street, and nearby Yokosuka Chuo.

I like the Shiori Keikyu stop which is steps away. JR Yokosuka is farther though possible and Yokosuka Chuo is a nice walk if you want to take the fast Kaitoku Keikyu trains into Yokohama or Shinagawa.

I liked hearing National Anthem of America & Japan (from Yokosuka Base) in morning.
I stayed at a 'Standard' room for 10 days.
It was clean and cozy, with everything I needed.
(i.e. Safety Box, Refrigerator, Iron w/Ironing board)
Also, there was Laundry Room and Vending Machines on site)

I hope there're more storage spaces like closet and drawers so I could empty my suitcase(s).

It was a pleasant stay. I'd definitely go back.

The room was a great location and well specified. The view was nice. The construction at Coaska can be loud. The room was not clean and contrary to most Japanese hotels. The carpet tiles were dirty and there were marks on the walls. I suspect its the foreign visitors that have a limited understanding of removing shoes. The restaurants within the hotel were absurdly expensive and difficult to understand. The hotel stands as a legacy of the the past and needs reinvention.

I did not pick this hotel, it was chosen for me. However, it was very convenient. You can get there on the Tokyo metro (about 1 hour and 15 minutes from downtown). My room seemed a little dated in decor, but I have no complaints about cleanliness. I had a small room but it had a great view of the harbour. While it gets a bit busy around the metro station, it was quiet in the hotel. There is a Family Mart around the corner, which is convenient if you don't want a large meal. The shopping centre across the street also has some really great options for food and some great grocery stores. (The craft store has some nice Japanese cotton I purchased for my Mom to sew with.) Breakfast came with the room and was really big. Caters to both western and Asian tastes. I think this is probably one of the better places to stay in Yokosuka. And it is close to the Battleship Mikasa, which was a really interesting museum. Finally, the staff was extremely nice and pleasant.

It’s two minutes from a Keikyu line train station, which makes everything accessible. There’s a park and a shopping mall directly across the street, with restaurants galore all around. Housekeeping was meticulous and efficient and all of the staff were friendly. The rooms are rather small (by American standards), but they have thought of everything, so there’s not much to miss. The only thing I wish were present was a fitness center, but there was plenty of outside with steps and stairs to meet the need. Overall, great stay.

Pretty nice room for the price. It is Japan so things are smaller than some may be used to - but nothing that would be an inconvenience.

One of the most appealing things about the establishment is that 1) it’s in a good location with lots of things to do within walking distance. And 2) the train station from Haneda Airport literally drops you off right behind the hotel.

I visited my son stationed near by. The location is convenient with lots of places to eat nearby. I opted for a premium room which was a bit small but served the purpose. Room was clean and everyone was helpful. Breakfast was included and it was good. The view of the port was amazing. Perks of booking premium include a free drink daily, breakfast, and drinks and snacks throughout the day. It’s also acrossed the street from a mall with some dining options. Ubers had a hard time finding my but I understand that I needed to update my pickup point.

Mercure Yokosuka is a decent hotel. They try to push the restaurant they have by not allowing Uber eats deliveries but really this just makes for an inconvenience and does not make me want to try the restaurant. Other than that, there is a smoking room, the rooms are clean and fairly well laid out. Fridge, microwave, electric kettle, all included which was very nice. Shampoos, conditioners, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc all included as well. Overall well worth the money spent and I would definitely stay again.

This is my go to hotel whenever I’m in your Coast club. Sometimes it’s very hard to get a room there, but I was lucky to get one. Especially at such a price! Very clean room very nice view. Everything you want out of a room I guess… But a little bit old and worn.
