I would pick this accomm over the 5 star hotel any day.
The room was stunning and it was so convenient to be able to make our own meals.
We were right next to Town Square and because of how well Yulara is set up could access everything else easily.
There was literally nothing more I could have wanted in the room and we will definitely be going back.

When I sat on arrival on one of the chairs it broke down which i immediately told them but they never took the chair away.
The couch bed was terrible, you almost were lying on the springs.

The apartment was not clean, seems that cleaners only clean visible and surface cleaning, the toilet was horrendous, the courtyard at the back was like has not been cleaned for months (there is a pair of men's underpants under the table) and the leaves and rubbish made it totally uninviting to venture there. There were cockroaches in the apartment. The shower has mould in the edge which looks unsightly and not healthy.
Beds were very comfortable, and kitchen well supplied.

The unit was very functional and the kitchen and laundry worked well. The freezer component of the fridge was too small to freeze our blocks for ongoing journey. Multiple stairs and significant distance from closest car park made moving our gear to and from the apartment challenging. When we arrived we were directed to a car park further away. There were trailers and campers parked in the closest car park. Nice not to have car noise nearby but would be great if there was a better access point for unloading and packing cars.

City Family of 4 in 1 bedroom apartment

Bringing modern day kids from city, they were initially worried at airport and parking at resort what it would be like, but within minutes to an hour impressed with accommodation and all the resort activities/talks/experiences.

Whole resort (all accomm options) is open to use by anyone wherever they stay and room charge throughout also, which was good. Everyone was friendly, loved artwork hanging around everywhere and available for purchase also.

IGA onsite was a huge blessing particularly fruit and specials, perfect for snacks while out.

Free Wi fi and phone reception great at resort. We took books and cards and handball as if weather turns or tour cancelled you need something to do besides tv.

Restaurant and Wok bar not opening until 5.30 - 6pm had us eating toast a couple of times as we'd arrive back from day out, hungry but off to an evening activity early preventing us from having proper dinner most nights, extend lunch through to dinner for early eaters.

Pool was freezing despite hot weather, but we still went in everyday. Towels and chairs at Dessert Gardens pool area need replacing due to stains.

Biggest disappointment for us was the rock was closed 5 of the 5 days we were there due to wind and the 1 day it was open we'd driven 3 hours out to kings Canyon.

The apartments are large and well furnished, with cooking utensils, washing machine and dryer. The staff are generally friendly, and the apartments are located in the centre of the town, within a two minute walk of all the shops and facilities. The paid fast wifi isn't that fast, especially during peak periods. The water pressure is low, however that is to be expected in such a dry environment. The deal breaker was the lack of hot water on the morning of my last day, which meant I could not shower (I'm not one for cold showers).

This was a spacious apartment with a modern twist. We travelled as a group of 7 and booked two rooms. All were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the apartments. They appear to have been recently upgraded and were clean, spacious and well decorated. The kitchen area was well equipped. After the early morning starts, we were all delighted to get back and lounge in the comfortable suiting room area. The resort itself had a number of restaurants/cafes, but we ended up grabbing bits from the supermarket and dining in. The staff throughout were friendly and helpful. We would come back again. Perfect for groups of friends or families.

Unfortunately upon arrival at Emu Apartments our booking could not be located. With the long weekend coming they were completely booked out. Being quite embarrassed about this the staff went out of their way to upgrade us into a high end room with complimentary breakfast and a dinner.. As we arrived at this new room they phoned to inform us they found the booking (names around the wrong way) so we got our apartment in the end. overall a good experience.

Enjoyed our stay, it was comfortable. Nothing luxurious but met our needs. Accommodation is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up and new bathrooms but none-the-less it was all fine for our enjoyable stay in Uluru. Really enjoyed the community feel around the little town square and the free daytime activities (bushtucker, didgeridoo) were a real nice touch which we enjoyed as this helped us learn about aboriginal culture. The free shuttle buses are great too, especially to and from the airport. It made it all very easy and made our experience of the place an enjoyable one. All very well organised.

Needs a good cleaning, reception was uninterested.

At check-in the man at reception was emotionless. Our room had a deck that was filthy with a recently trimmed tree and the limbs remained on the ground. The couch arms were well worn and had a greasy feeling. The air vent was covered with dirt. I moved the couch to open the curtain and the floor was dirty and the wall had cobwebs. The refrigerator was broken and unable to freeze anything including ice. The room needed a good thorough cleaning, wall to wall. I think they just try to fill the rooms as fast as possible. We had been traveling for a month and this was our worst accommodation in Australia.

We’ve spent 3 nights at the emu walk hotel and it was the perfect place to relax and appreciate the surrounding place after being out on a tour or a drive across the red centre. Will definitely recommend to use the pool to cool down after a long walk . The staff is really helpful and kind. Highly recommend it.

Overall our experience staying in this apartment was a good one. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped for minimal food prep, which was enough for us.

Our first night in the apartment we could not figure out how to turn the air conditioner down or off and had to use a blanket on the bed and put up with the noise of the air conditioner all night. Reception was closed and there were no instructions in the room on how to operate it. We suggest posting instructions on the wall near the air conditioner controls.

The staff person (a young man) working when we arrived on the afternoon of 7 March and the following day when we enquired about how to operate the air conditioner was not friendly or helpful at all.

Great to have washing machine and drier in apartment although a drying rack would be useful, given balcony to dry clothes on. Lovely hotel and the apartment itself was a good size. The kitchen was well fitted and the bed extremely large and comfortable. 4 of us stayed so we used one of the sofa beds in the living area but it didn’t feel in the way at all. It was only a few minutes walk from the town square so plenty of shops and restaurants handy.

Emu Walk Apartments is a perfect location to stay at Uluru for a family or a group of friends. The apartment is spacious and well presented my only problem was access to the bathroom was through the bedroom. These apartments are supposed to be serviced every day however we did have to go and remind them of this. You do have access to the other two hotels and there facilities which are within walking distance. All in all not a bad place to stay would recommend it.

We were able to check in straight off the plane and the air conditioner was always running. Nice reprieve from the 40 degree heat. At check in and right throughout our stay the staff were more than helpful and we were nice and close to town square and both resorts pools.

A contemporary room with great indigenous design set the mood for a great experience. From checking in, when nothing was a problem, to room service help, everything was easy. The room was spacious with cooking facilities that was really convenient so all diet choices were available with groceries from the IGA only 5 mins walk away. The modern bathroom was only a 4/5 as the shower and toilet could have used a scrub but loads of towels and aust flavoured personal care products were great. I'd happily stay here again!

Resort is very old and run down, locals come in to the resort every night, shop up big in the supermarket, and leave all there rubbish in the gardens and on the lawn areas. Internet and all phones went down every morning, so no eftpos. Take cash because shops and businesses wont do off line processing.

Kitchen - Dirty cutlery, no dishwasher, chopping board full of ants, oily stove, and there's a bad stench. I had to clean up before I even unpack for my 2 days stay when I prepaid AUD900?!!

Dinning table - table is sticky, with food crumbs, and oily menu. Not appetising.

Bed - I got bitten by bed bugs the first night, and had to manage the itch for the next few days.

Toilet bowl - Disgusting, not sure why it was never cleaned properly, but it was so stained inside, no words for it.

Overall, very disappointed with the quality of the accommodation after paying so much.

Fabulous !

I was on a very quick trip to Uluru - so was only here one night.
Reception was really helpful and quick.
The apartment was really lovely with a great view and an outside patio.
I had about 1.5 hours before my first trip- and I ordered a salad from room service explaining my situation and it arrived within 20 mins.
I was able to leave my luggage at reception for it to be transported to the hotel from when the bus back to Alice Springs departed. The resort has a number of shops- activities related to aboriginal skills and storytelling and places to eat including a cafe training young apprentices.
I would happily stay at these apartments again and for longer should I visit Uluru again in the future and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Really enjoyed our three night stay at Emu Walk Apartments. Natalie on front reception had a warm welcoming & helpful manner. Beds were comfortable, including the two sofa beds. It was in a convenient location & just a short walk to the town centre. Only thing I'd suggest is a larger frying pan & some steak knives. Couldn't fault anything else.

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was will equipt, clean, recently renovated and the staff at the reception was very nice.
The only problem is that we didn't get internet access the second day of our stay.

I love Uluru what an experience to celebrate my 50th BIRTHDAY will never for get it. Will recommended people to stay at Emu walk Apartments and especially to do the A Night of Lights and the dinner..and champagne.what day to remember my birthday. Also the helicopter ride.
