Very nice location minutes from downtown Halifax. The only concern was the breakfast being so hot and not ventilated…the gentleman working there did a great job and was extremely busy. Our room was comfy and met our needs.

We met Hotel Staff named William during check-in. He was greeting us with smile and very polite. He explained everything we need to know. We very satisfied with his services! The hotel conditions was excellent similar as other hotels we booked at Phoenix and in Seattle. This hotel brand is our first choice to stay when travel.

Pull out sofa was dirty, with popcorn on the mattress and underneath with we pulled it out as well as some food wrappers under the sofa. No TV channels that were for kids were available on the TV nor was there an option to use my own Netflix account. The pool area was freezing with a very strong fan blowing the whole time, not very welcoming for families as kids were frozen when they got out of the water and I froze sitting there watching them swim.

Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and waterside didn’t disappoint! The breakfast was yummy.
The bed was uncomfortable, kept rolling to the middle which was problematic when sharing the bed with another person. The bathroom was clean however did not age well (damp, toilet and shower felt icky).

Our room did not have adequate air conditioning and it was too hot to sleep. We went to front desk who only gave us batteries for the remote and it still did not work. The window opened a small way but it wasn't effective. Our toilet also plugged and we were simply handed a plunger.

It was an okay hotel but pool was shut down the entire weekend and that was the reason we booked that hotel vs others for our son’s birthday. Also the tv channels listed did not work so there were no children’s channels like family/disney/treehouse…the only channel was PBS.

The pool was broken when we arrived with no prior notice and was told I should have called. A friend did call and they said it was working. Given Canada games centre passes which was okay but a complete annoyance with the kids on March break. The phone in our room had no buttons just holes where buttons were. The elevator was broken. The breakfast was good and the staff polite but disappointing property overall.

The elevator and pool were both down. The tub plug didn’t actually close so I had to hold it down with my foot so enjoy a hot bath. There was also black mold around the perimeter of the tub.

2 night stay. First night the fire alarm went because the immigrant workers that live there smokes up the kitchen on the first floor. The second night there were kids and parents being noisy in the hallway. The elevator is out of order. Breakfast was decent. Room decor was nice.

The bed was just fair for sleeping, not very comfortable. The smell of fresh paint was hard on the head and It was difficult without a working elevator to carry bags etc. I probably wouldn't have booked this hotel if I had known that they were renovating ahead of the booking. We left early and didn't stay the second night of a two day stay.

Unfortunately, due to a recent flood (again), the elevators were not operational.

Also, we used the pool one night and ourselves, along with other guests, ended up getting some sort of blue sticky sealant transferred from the pool walls to our bodies and bathing suites.

Staff lacked attentiveness, and was quick awkward. Following us to our room and waiting outside until we got inot oir room. We were not notified of pool closure, gym and no restaurant at time of booking. So he we are in our suits myself and two children...at the front desk askign for the key and the look they gave us was worst than the stares and the following us throigh the hotel.. The whole basement was flooded and renovations were taking place. Here is the best part, due to the basement being flooded our room on the first floor was infested with MICE !!!!
The lack of accountability and understanding from this staff was being disturbing. Staff were not eager to help chamhe room or refund... Let me be clear this place was our go to.. Thanks for the last round of disgust!!!

The room was really nice, everything was clean! The hotel informed me (after all ready having it booked) that the pool and elevator was out of order (once we arrived we seen it’s because they are doing a bunch of Reno’s) which wasn’t a problem for us it was a 1 night stay. I just think it should have been said before rhe booking incase we couldn’t do stairs. Anyways the hotel itself very nice and with the Reno’s it will be even better I’m sure! The gentleman that checked us in was also very very nice and great at his job!

Upon arriving the room and staff was excellent then after that when we arrive back from our outing, we discovered the television was not working so we called down front desk answered and said will send somebody up 45 minutes later my wife calls again and they said someone will be up there in about five or 10 minutes The gentleman did arrive close to 10 minutes after look like we were disturbing him no communication even when we said thank you did not acknowledge us. Was very disappointed in that then after that went to hook up her Wi-Fi and it said her room name did not match so we could not cook our Wi-Fi so we have spotted off Cell phone for our iPad because it does not have Internet on. It overall was not very pleased about all that did not want to call downstairs and disturb the gentleman again plus we called numerous times before they answered the phone every time we called.

Key card issues happen, few trips up and down. Sorted
Stained chair - corner. Cushion is very dirty.
Trap under bathroom sink/ plumbing is or was leaking thus damaging the wood. This is or will be mold and should be addressed before it gets worse.
Mold very much stresses my wife out due to health reasons.
Pool was chilly but was still enjoyed.

Small things that would have otherwise been a perfect stay. Employees were all smiles and this alone goes a long way. We will return im sure. Thank you folks
