Very relaxing stay in a lovely hotel. Just one comment Reception should ask guests if they have any physical problems before being allocated a room at the end of numerous flights of stairs (# 40). The additional 'work-out' was not particularly welcome!

Lovely hotel location, right on the beachfront. Good restaurant (self pick up, eat in the room). Nice comfortable room with small balcony and a partial sea view. It was an upgrade from the original room however, it didn't feel that way since the room was next to the elevator so not quiet at all. There was no water kettle, tea, coffee, not even a complimentary bottle of water in the room, which other rooms had. There were breakfast crumbs from previous guests on the floor, although the room seamed clean overall. Breakfast was good, delivered in front of the room, which was great. Spa amenities run down but pleasant. With an additional small effort, this could've been a very memorable stay.

The room was not clean at all. There was dust on the side tables. Intercom was not working. In their services list, room service is mentioned but there is no room service facility. When i asked for a cup of coffee i was asked to come to the reception to get it. The carpet was wet due to water leaking inside the room through the balcony door. No kettle, coffee, tea facility in the room.

The location is amazing. The pool and sauna are nice. The restaurant on the ground floor is good and the breakfast is super. The desk and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff is not so great. They didn’t make my bed and I believe they picked up, and folded the damp towels I had used and put them back on the rack. They were on the floor because I had to wipe up the water that went all over the bathroom because the shower door doesn’t do an adequate job of keeping water in the shower. They were still damp and fresh towels generally aren’t. The property is old, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke which bothered my allergies since I’m allergic. There are dings in the walls and the carpet needs to be replaced and the room is very dark. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was obviously designed for women who don’t wear makeup because the mirror is too far to get close to put on makeup and although there are other mirrors in the room the lighting in the room was so horrible it was a trial trying to see to apply makeup. I think despite everything I would recommend the property but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the cigarette smoke issue. The price is really very reasonable and as I said the location, right by the ocean and close to walking and running trails is fantastic.

Nice location on the sea wall plenty of opportunity to walk or run and get fresh air. Reception is ok and check in was efficient. Very pleasant staff. Nice bar area. Breakfast selection a little lacking but adequate nontheless. Room was comfortable and spacious enough. There is quite a lot of noise from the corridors and rooms above, I was glad to have earplugs with me.

The restaurant is a must!

Stayed one night for business in a twin room. Room was clean and spacious with all the usual features including a full mini bar. Breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. The one thing you have to do when you stay at this hotel is eat at the restaurant on the top floor. If you dine over sunset you get a fabulous view and the food is very highly rated.

I regret we did not sample what appeared to be a very superior restaurant, so cannot comment, but I would say it is definitely for foodies with a farly large wallet judging by the menu.

Schönes Hotel direkt am Deich gelegen. Zugang zum Meer direkt gegenüber. Die Zimmer entsprechen einem guten 4 **** Standard. Freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Restaurant im Untergeschoss mit erträglichen Preisen. Störend empfand ich die absolute Rauchverbotsregel. Wobei ich die Regel an sich verstehe, es aber befremdlich fand, direkt durch ein Schild an der Rezeption eine Vertragsstrafe von 500 € angedroht zu bekommen. Das Frühstück hat mir persönlich nicht so gut gefallen. Zu wenig Auswahl an Brot (sehr kleine geschmacksneutrale Brötchen; kein Toast, keine hartgekochten Eier). Freundliche junge Dame beim Frühstücksbuffet, die sehr bemüht war, meine Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht. Alles in allem waren wir trotzdem zufrieden.

The bathroom and the overall experience of our room was outdated, unfortunately we had a disgusting smell in our room we weren’t able to locate - we could only sleep with an open window at night to get fresh air.
The sink, the shower and the sink table were old - only the tiles were new and renovated recently.
The sewers were not clean.
Bed was comfy though and the staff at the reception friendly and welcoming.

Schönes und gutes Hotel für ein Wochende, Personal ist sehr freundlich nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war ganz gut, jedoch gibt es nichts in der Umgebung und das Essen im Hotel ist sehr begrenzt. Bei unserem Zimmer ging ständig die Alarmanlage an der Tür an was ein wenig nervig war.

Hotel ligt dicht bij de zee, aan de andere kant van de dijk, mooie zonsondergangen gezien !!
Het hotel heeft zelf 2 restaurants, maar op paar minuten lopen zijn nog 2 andere restaurants.
De auto parkeren kan zowel op straat/voor hotel, als ook op een eigen parkeerplaats achter het hotel. Ontbijt ruime keuze
Mooie uitvalsbasis voor diverse fietstochten. In de omgeving is genoeg te zien en te doen.
Enige minpuntje vond ik, dat je moest douchen in het ligbad, dan heb je te maken met een moeilijke instap.
Op de kamer koffie- en theefaciliteiten en een klein koelkastje.

Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt eine sehr gute Unterkunft, die Stadt selbst ist nur eine Anreihung von Häusern, nicht mal einen Laden gibt es in der Gegend. Der Strand ( für Hunde) war sauber und weitläufig. Die zweihoteleigenen Restaurants können den Abend schön ergänzen, wir waren aber in einem Pavillon an der Küste, weil da etwas günstiger ist. Zu empfehlen ist das Bikemieten, auch das Marinemuseum in Den Helder ist sehenswert.

Die Unterkunft war insgesamt gut. Allerdings von der Inneneinrichtung Flure/Zimmer zu altmodisch. Der Parkplatz/Innenhof/Zuwege und Eingangsbereich waren voll mit sehr viel Unkraut und Zigarettenresten. Eine gute Idee wäre vor dem Eingangsbereich und im Innenhof/Parkplatz große Aschenbecher aufzustellen. Und wie gesagt Gartenpflege und Unkraut entfernen auf den befestigten Flächen regelmäßig und intensiv ausführen. In einer gepflegten Anlage fühlen sich die Gäste mit Sicherheit wohler und kommen wieder.mfg. Axel Preuß

We zaten in een soort bijgebouw wat moeilijk te bereiken was, trapje op, trapje af. Ontbijt netjes verzorgd, niet uitgebreid. Ik vond de prijs/kwaliteit niet echt overeenkomen.

De kamer is gehorig. Aangezien we beide niet al te goed ter been zijn, waren de trappen een crime voor ons. Zeker als je bedenkt dat we helemaal achter in de aanbouw onze kamer was. Voor iemand die rookt, was het noodzakelijk om naar de entree van het hotel te gaan om daar buiten te roken. Indien je als gast achterin het hotel geplaatst wordt, dient voor rokers daar in de buurt ook een mogelijkheid aanwezig te zijn. Het diner in de Bistro liet te wensen over. Met name de prijsverhouding tot het geleverde. Daarnaast werden er, zonder van te voren aangekondigd, erg zoute en gekruide frieten geserveerd. Wel is hier door het vriendelijke personeel adequaat op gereageerd middels het aanbieden van een gratis dessert. Echter al met al raden wij dit hotel niet aan voor mensen met een handicap in het loopvermogen.

Een aantal jaar geleden waren we in Den Helder. Bij toeval kwamen wij langs grande hotel Beatrix. Hartelijke ontvangst destijds. Na COVID-19 er geboekt. Het was geweldig, prachtige kamer (kregen een upgrade) schoon en prettig. Geweldig ontbijt, goed restaurant. Zwembad en sauna is oké. Medewerkers in het familie hotel zijn aardig en gastvrij. Opvallend is de goede sfeer van de medewerkers onderling. Den Helder, bekend van de boot naar Texel, aanrader is bezoek aan de beeldentuin de Nollen, verrassend met een leuke brasserie (MJK geldig): wel vooraf reserveren!

Good hotel, but worth mentioning that even though my room was on the \"second floor\" in the elevator I had to decend four flights of stairs down as the the hotel is located in a sloope, and my room ended up on the ground floor.

Alles rundum sehr gut.

Ein paar Verbesserungsvorschläge hätte ich jedoch:
1. Die Leistung von dem Fön war kaum vorhanden
2. Der \"Tritt\" von meinem Mülleimer im Bad war defekt
3. Sauna und Schwimmbad fände ich besser, wenn das voneinander getrennt ist, gerade weil auch Kinder in der unmittelbaren Nähe sind.

De kamer was netjes schoon, voorzien van ruime badkamer. Puntje van aandacht is dat in onze kamer (6) de douche ineens tijdens het douchen een korte tijd 20 graden word. Je verbrand je hoofd of rug. Dit gebeurd iedere twintig seconden. Erg oppassen dus! Ontbijt 1e Kerstdag uitstekend verzorgt door Rick. 2e Kerstdag was het net effe minder en gewoon goed.
