Do not believe all the glowing reviews for this hotel; the place is a DUMP! We arrived on December 23rd and the place was a ghost town. That should've been our first clue as to what we were getting into but I digress. We checked in and when we got into our room the first thing we noticed was the damp, musty smell of the room. Upon further inspection we found the bathroom looked like it was painted by a fifth grader it had so many touchup spots and bad drywall patches, the floor behind the toilet was stained and dirty and the tub was dingy and discolored. While the beds were comfortable and there was a large, modern TV in the room the refrigerator had a ticking noise like a clock, the HVAC unit had this weird vibrating noise and when I went to use the 30 year old dial style microwave it made this loud humming sound I was afraid it would explod3. The carpet in the room was dirty and the bed skirt had an unidentified white stain on it. The place was just gross. Breakfast consisted of pre frozen; microwaved eggs, sausage and tater tots. The only edible item was the eggs but barely. The sausage was some weird almost fake style meat sausage and the tots looked disgusting. There were waffles and a pancake maker available, I didn't try those. They could put much more effort into the breakfast. I would never stay here again. Stayed at the hotel New Year's Eve because it was next to the Fireside Theater where we had dinner and attended the New Year's Eve performance. The hotel was clean and well appointed. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Those were all positives. The clerk who checked us in did her job but was less not very informative as to the location of the room and where to park, etc. We got to breakfast toward the end of the breakfast time which may be the reason for the food - especially the eggs being cold. Rate it a 4 out of 5 overall.

Act of God. 10 to 15 inches of snow expected. Fireside theater canceled all performances for the next day. Front desk said manager said we would be charged full price of $89 even though our room was only $20 on promotion through expedia. This goes against their stated policy. We have stayed here multiple times a year but won't be returning. There are many nice hotels in Fort Atkinson. Choose a different place to stay with management that wants your business.

I have allergies so check the air filters whenever I am in a hotel. They had not been cleaned for well over a year!
I told the front desk and showed the attendant a picture.
Even though your rooms are labeled nonsmoking they reek of cigarette smoke. This is the case in most hotels I've stayed in. I was given air freshener and that helped a bit.

It is a basic 2-star hotel. The front desk staff was nice and helpful during check in. Throughout the day the people staying upstairs from us were loud, stomping and jumping. We were fine with that until it kept going until past 4am. We called and texted the front desk multiple times. They said they knocked on the door and called the room with no answer. It did not stop, and it was horrible. We should have called the police. They said they would reimburse my early check in fee and offered a discount on our next stay.. approximately $40 of comp is not sufficient to make up for what we experienced. This place did not take care of the problem, we will never be coming back.

the hotel has some updating needed. my bathroom was missing paint on the walls. The tub had some cracking or peeling on the floor. Wouldnt wven use the shower. The bed had a cloth skirt and at the corners by the headboard you could see it was all dusty. I would probably not go back because we were charged 179.00 and this is a 90 at best room! The breakfast area was nice and the offerings were decent. The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

Walked in our room and slaps you in the face with mold in mildew smell. The sheets felt damp. We called to move rooms, but because of the whitewater event nothing was available. The hotel desk attendant said they would talk to the manager to give a refund and we still have not seen it or been contacted. Getting slapped with an addition charge when checking in for no realistic reason is very bad customer relations. Desk staff also was not thorough in explaining what this \"deposit\" was for. This was not revealed in the reservation info and will affect me considering Amercinn in the future. Also, window shades were ripped and did not function properly.

Bathrooms were terrible. Floors disgusting, showers didn’t drain, mildew in bathroom. Bedding had multiple yellow stains on both beds. Shower curtain was stained purple in multiple spots. Spiders in the rooms. Service was fast though when needed. Lock to the door broke and toilet stopped working but they were quick to fix both. Outside of building is run down and needs major touch ups. Hallways smell really bad, like smoke.

Overall the hotel was okay, the staff was pleasant and nice. There’s no elevator so you have to carry all your stuff up a long flight of stairs, which is hard when you have bad knees! It was also nice and quiet which was great for sleeping and there’s a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is very convenient.

I had a family emergency and went to ask if I could have my money back for the following night that I booked. The answer was NO because of I needed a 24hr notice. I asked if I could get a discount towards another stay next time I was in town and they told me NO again. It seemed liked once they had there $$ they didn't care for the guest. Property was great! Room great although the phone didn’t work and our room wasn’t cleaned. We were gone from 7 am till 8 pm the second day but when told front desk leaving the morning of 3rd day we were told Wyndham only cleans every other day. There was no notification in the room or anywhere about that.

The room was beautiful though, the free breakfast best we’ve had, and the people very nice!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Several aspects of my experience fell significantly short of expectations.

Specifically, I encountered issues with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom floor was sticky, there was hair in the shower, and I observed what appeared to be buggies on the headboard. Furthermore, the rugs felt unclean underfoot. In addition, I found the staff at the front desk to be unwelcoming and unhelpful.

This level of cleanliness and service was unacceptable and significantly impacted the quality of my stay. I would appreciate it if you would address these concerns to prevent similar experiences for other guests. I do not plan to stay at your hotel again and would advise others to carefully consider their choice before booking.

Hotel room was terrible. The bathroom was dirty, the tub had paint, drywall mud and who knows what else stuck in the bottom. The bathroom floor was yucky with gunk in the corners from not mopping well. Carpet floors left out socks black and had hair all over. Bed sheets and towels were not white, they had a yellow tint. The room had a horrible musty smell. Would not recommend.

Stains! Stains everywhere!

Stains were everywhere!! Stains on furniture, stains on walls, floor, hallways, and pretty much everywhere else. Actually Smelled decently clean though. It was an older hotel, they didn’t even have an elevator. Lady at front desk was nice and provided new sheets when asked and apologized for the stains. Hallway had ants everywhere, but again its summer in the Midwest, ants are everywhere. Well not at any other hotels I stayed at, but I get why they had them.

Expedia says they allow cats, THEY DO NOT! Just dogs. I will admit, it was neglectful of me to not check their website to double check but cats should definitely should be taken off the pet regulation collum under this Inn.

I had originally booked at this hotel because they are pet friendly. As it turns out I did not take my pet. Upon arrival I was met by a very nice desk clerk but she did not look very professional. Oh well, no big deal. Then as we were given our room on the second floor I was informed there is no elevator. I should have packed lighter. The conditioner in the shower was empty, good thing I had some. The toilet paper and kleenex where 1 ply. Things were just cheap. No lotion, 1 tiny bar soap. Then the breakfast. It was edible, the coffee was weak. To the point we asked for extra pods and made coffee in our room. Overall it was disappointing. The staff was kind and courteous and the beds were comfortable. Personally would not stay there again.
