Wonderful place to stay if you are around the area. Parking just right in front of the hotel. Room is clean n updated. Toilet and shower are all great. Hot water n water pressure is good. Manage to catch aurora lights on my 4th night in Iceland all thanks to the staff who taught me to spot the values about aurora lights. They even provide room call service if aurora light are spotted. 👍💪. Stayed there for 2 night and saw the aurora lights for 2 nights in a row. One downside about that place is the drive there during winter. Do drive safe while heading there. I still love my stay there.

Cool nice looking hotel. Rooms were good. Bar area was nice. Didn’t care for the menu, but the truffle fries were excellent. Great location to do things. Hot Springs, hiking, whale watching. Bartender Tomas was excellent, remembered our orders when we came back in the night. Also exchanged many great life stories and adventures. The karaoke party at the bar behind the hotel was a blast. Everyone was awesome and had a great time! Come to Iceland, must go the Mývatn area and stay here for 2 nights! Can’t wait to come back!

The hotel staff allows us to check in early. The food in the hotel restaurant is great. However, not much dining options in the town. Close the a few tourist attractions around Lake Myvatn. Along the ring road, so very convenient. Guest can sign up to receive Aurora phone call if they spot one.

Incredible staying at the Mývatan-Berjaya Iceland!

The Mývatan-Berjaya Iceland Hotel is an
excellent value for your money. It is not only with an unforgettable location, but the hotel has many amenities to enjoy, including a couple of outdoor hot tubs. The room is beautiful, modern, comfortable, and clean, and it was spacious for three people.They have a good breakfast.
We were helped in an extraordinary way by Noelia, who was working at the front desk the night of our arrival. She was very friendly and helpful since we called letting them know our arrival time and she was kind enough to let each guest know if they had requested it, if the northern lights were visible. We were fortunate enough to see our first auroras, and she walked us outside to the best outdoor place to see them.
When we arrived, we decided to dine at the restaurant, and all three dishes we ordered were delicious. The restaurant is very nice as well.
The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very modern hotel with clean spacious rooms. Bathrooms clean, actually provided L'Occitane toiletries! Only thing missing was lotion. None of the Iceland hotels ave lotions and most do not provide shampoos and conditioners.
Hotel rooms had large windows with lovely views. Had a very pleasant stay here even though only stayed one night.
They had ample parking. They had hot tubs which we didn't use as we just came from Myvatn nature baths which is very close to the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. They were able to accommodate our arrival an hour earlier than stated check in hours. The room and bathroom were spacious with both tub and shower available. The bath products, L'Occitane were lovely. There was tea and coffee available in the room as well. There were 2 hot tubs and really thick terry robes to use. The night staff provided wake up calls for aurora sightings. The hotel was close to all the Lake Mývatn sites. Very happy with this booking.

The hotel room (superior room we booked) is very small. No table, just one chair. Night tables are also very small.

We asked long ago for a room with bathtub, but the hotel staff just refused to provide such a room for us. Receptionist told us all their rooms are fully booked for the day, so they could not provide us with a room with bathtub. Actually on Expedia, rooms are available for their 3 types of rooms for the day.

Expedia told us the hotel has provided us with a complimentary upgrade. No upgrade at all.

On Expedia, the same room sells for much less for the same night stay.

Could be a great hotel….. but unfortunately not.

The odd thing is that this should be a great hotel, but it’s like it was designed by a person who doesn’t know about hotel design, or building. Small things like no thermostatic control in the room… it was hot, a note say open the window, don’t worry about the miges….. and they were right there were lots. Terrible lighting,
really dark. A cheap awkward shower curtain to fix a design issue with the walk in shower that then lifts towards you as soon as you turn the shower on. A full power socket, right beside the tap in the bathroom … in the UK that would be against all building control regulations.

Oh and lastly, the only hotel we stayed at where tourist tax was not included. Apparently this year they have decided that it’s an extra.

Enjoyable stay

Free parking outside hotel. We had free use of the hotel hot tubs before 10pm with the booking but didn’t use them. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with good black out curtains. You can eat at either the restaurant in the hotel or another (think probably bit cheaper) across the car park. We ate in and both enjoyed our meals, provided with good service.

Breakfast was good with a reasonable range of items that were kept stocked.

Happily stay again if ever in the area.

The staff resolved an issue prompty and without any fuss. The hotel was to a good standard, the staff very helpfull and the breakfast had a lot of variety (if only it had fresh baked loaves). This hotel appears to be used by coaches, hence it can be difficult to eat at the main restaurant, however the one outside is very good. We loved the practical artwork in the lobby, it added character.

We'll be staying there again next time we're in Iceland.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We were travelling around Iceland and it was only a one night stay but it was a lovely hotel in a wonderful location overlooking the lake at Myvatn and close to other attractions such as Myvatn Nature Baths (discount available from hotel). We dined in the attached restaurant which was very good as was breakfast the next morning. The rooms were very modern and very clean. Staff were very helpful. There was nothing about this property that we didn't like.

The hotel is fine, wifi is strong and breakfast is decent. However, there are a few issues. First, the toilet is a jet flushing type, think of an airplane toilet, and it's not working well. Over 1 night's stay i had to call the front desk to get them to fix it twice. Not having a reliable toilet is a not a good look for a hotel. Second, do not rely on the on-site EV charger, it's not working. Luckily there is a fast charging one in the parking lot of the Fosshotel My'vatn 5 minutes away. So, the better option is just to stay there.

So convenient a location for exploring sights of Lake Myvatn. We loved looking for birds, hiking around Hofni, pseudocraters, Dimmunorgir, and enjoying the Myvatn Nature to relax at the end of the day. The dinners were excellent, delicious arctic char and lamb so well- prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Don't get the pull out bed

The pull out bed was so uncomfortable. I could not sleep and I had severe lower back problems by the 3rd night. I could not even sit in the car the day we checked out. I had to lay across the seats in the back for a six hour drive. The staff was not friendly, but not necessarily rude. Just mostly didnt acknowledge you if you walked by or said hi. The restaurant has minimal food options and it is extremely expensive. I had clumps of hair end up in my bed from the floor not being cleaned. The bathroom tub I had to clean because the sides were scumy from dead skin cells from other people. The hot tub was great outside. The sign up for northern lights was good. The breakfast was great and includes. The blankets are comfortable. Overall it would have been better to stay near the Reykjavic area. Some cute towns, beautiful waterfalls, and interesting museums along the trip North to Myvatn area.

Love love love. Can not say enough good things! Gorgeous design and great amenities in the room including an eco friendly towel drying rack (powered by hot water). They also have a list where you can write down your room and they’ll wake you up if northern lights are spotted so we got to see those. We were given a corner room with stunning views of the scenery. Absolutely amazing hotel with very kind and accommodating staff!!

Nice hotel in Myvatn

This hotel was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. They did provide a room call for the Northern Lights (which some hotels will provide and that is great when wanting to view the Northern Lights). The surrounding area around the hotel was dark enough to have an enjoyable experience if the Northern Lights are active. Additionally, some of the tour groups use the parking lot of this hotel as their meeting point for their tours. We had a tour and this made it very convenient for us.

The hotel was our 7th night on the ring road tour around Iceland. The location around the Mývatn lake was breathtaking even from the Berjaya Iceland Hotel bar.

This hotel seemed European in design, has a wonderfully eclectic style and a personality that suits an experienced traveller or couple. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, and each item has been selected carefully for the ease of the guest. The space and features chosen made everything a little easier, such as enough room for a big winter coat and a shelf for your snow-covered boots. They were simple things, but thought has been put into these touches and I appreciated them.

The restaurant and bar were modern, with a rustic charm. We sat comfortably for hours in the lounge and watched the sunset over the lake; it was stunning.

I rate this place a 5 for customer service and rooming. The rooms run hot bc the radiator runs even on zero. However when asking staff they fixed the issue. The rooms are very nice and clean. The location is great. We came during a snow storm so the parking lot was iced over
