This resort focuses upon family-related activities. Rooms and grounds are very clean. Service staff are wonderful and attentive. Guests should be aware that many services can be a la carte. For example, the resort area of the beach is lined with beach chairs and umbrellas, which one can rent for around $50 per day, but guests can supply their own. At the same time I have to say, there is a little something for eveyone. I wound recommend this resort. It is in an affluent area of MB, and a great value for what the resort has to offer.

I loved everything about the property. I love the fact that there's a kitchen and I took advantage of that. I was sold at the lazy river and hot tub. So relaxing. So much to do on the resort, especially if you have kids, they will have a blast. I'm glad the water park was enclosed for now because there was a day when there was thunderstorms and chilly weather, especially at night. The only thing I wasn't aware of was there was 2 buildings and the Uber dropped me off at 5200 and when I checked in I was told I was in the other building which I saw it had its own desk and lobby on the 2nd floor. I had to walk over with all my luggage. The lady at check in was very courteous and helpful. This was my first time in Myrtle beach and I will definitely be back

Our ocean view room was excellent. The room is huge and clean. The prices were very reasonable.
The only thing that I didn’t like was that it’s not very handicap efficient at the resort. You really have to walk far to get anywhere.
The parking is across the street and down the street. There are two buildings for the resort so if you’re in one building, you have to walk to the other building for like the restaurant and gift shop. To get to the beach you have to walk a lot. The beach is right in front of the hotel but there’s no easy access for it. You have to walk through the indoor water park, expect 1,000 kids, to get to the beach.

The room had cockroaches in both bathrooms. The secondary bathroom had no hot water.. called the front desk was told that somebody would come at 7:30 AM. Nobody ever showed up. We rented a cabana for Friday and Saturday. Could not use the TV because of no remote asked front desk several times for one never received one.. the fan was broke and we had to leave each day at 2 o’clock due to the landscapers working directly behind our heads with power tools.

Our stay in the suit wasn’t pleasant. Starting with the cleaning, outside, it looks like a clean, nice, and modern resort, but in the inside it appeared like an old building, especially in our room. Our room wasn’t as clean as we would’ve liked, as it contained dust, the bedroom was humid, in the shower, we saw black cracks, and we had to take a shower with sandals. Our first night was awful, as we kept hearing people from almost everywhere screaming and yelling. We also heard that this was a smoke-free resort, but we would smell and see that our neighbors would smoke weed and mariguana. The vending machines didn’t work at all when we wanted a snack.

If you are a senior pick out of season times. This resort is \"family focused\" and it is difficult to enjoy the ammenities when families flood in. There is some walkable eateries nearby. Grocery store about a mile away. Coffee shop inside but hours vary. Not a place for peace and quiet. Rooms large but no daily housekeeping. Outdoor pools not heated. Require transportation to get around. Public bus stops at 52nd ave.

Its a nice resort my only complaint was the morning after checkin a guy was right outside our room using a drill in the wall which woke us up at 7am and we had a service dog with us who was spooked by the sound but then outside our balcony door by the pool at 8am was two maintenance guys using leaf blowers and weed eaters so we could not get any sleep due to all the noise i did bring this to the attention of front desk and they did offer us 2 free nights on them which was more then fair to me we did however enjoy our room it was clean for the most part we did notice paint missing from diff spots on the walls and door and we noticed a broken spot on the frame of the mirror in the bathroom but over all it was a nice place they have a big indoor water park for kids with slides and a lazy river and hot tub which we didn't get to use due to all the activities we had planned with our son also at check in they charge you an amenities fee of $100 which is not on the website you won't know about it until you arrive on site i think things like that should be posted on the website or told about it when booking that way folks can plan accordingly

Our room was in need of updating and repair. Furniture was very worn and the mattress was uncomfortable. Hairdryer and some outlets didn't work. There was a poorly patched hole in the bathroom wall. We were on the 12th floor and one of the elevators was down for more than 1 day.
The staff at the breakfast buffet and at the coffee shop were very friendly and helpful. However, the quality of the food was very mediocre. The outdoor pool was not heated, and we could not enjoy it in March. The indoor pool was crowded, often with rambunctious older kids. The lifeguard/security did eventually clear the pool to make it more pleasant for all.
The location of this hotel is great and it offers a lot of amenities for families. Hopefully the interior of the property will be updated so that the quality of stay better matches the price charged in the future. We will likely look for other options next trip.

bad managment and rude he or she both elevators stop working and you have to take the stairs with all my luggage and the stairs got to go frome 3 differents case to get the floor level where my room at and they have no body to help us was only me and my 9 years old daughter and I'm person with heart failyer I can't take the stairs so we spend our first day at the loby trying to figure out the situation with out any appologize or any professional hosting they were rude and mean but I'm stock and my resevation non refundable beside the charged me hotel fee but my under standing I paid expedia totle everythings includes that ?

Dunes Village was ok. If you have a big family with children maybe 14 and under this would be a good place for you because of the water parks, the lazy river and the pools outside for the smaller kids. The hotel needs to be renovated all over. We were in room 142 and the bathroom def needs upgrading really bad, the top cover had a few stains on it, they didn’t clean that well bc the tub had hair in it, not chunks but pieces to where you can tell they did a half job cleaning. I was in town for the weekend for a basketball tournament and just wanted my son to be around with his teammates. Overall I didn’t really care for the hotel. I probably won’t stay here again!!

We stayed in a 1 bedroom double queen oceanfront suite. It had everything we needed for a weekend beach trip with 3 under 3 and the view was amazing. The hotel was sold out but we never had trouble waiting for elevators even though we were on the 14th floor.

Our toddlers had a blast and were able to enjoy the amenities. I saw ZERO roaches and we used the kitchen frequently. We felt the price was very reasonable for what is included. We will definitely be back!

This was absolutely perfect for our family with kids. The pools, the beach and games was enough to keep everyone entertained our entire stay. It was close enough to the more touristy area but far enough away that was safe and much less people. I would 100% stay here again with our family. Rooms were clean and had many amenities to allow to save money on going out to eat.

Our room key did not work for the parking garage doors, which was an inconvenience. Other than my son did enjoy the pool area. The other guests were respectful and that’s always a plus. The deferred maintenance is obvious throughout the property. Showers and “hot” tubs were cold. The toilets ran non stop and when we were told someone would come to take a look, no one showed up. Water to the building was shutoff during peak hours on our first day.
My wife had to work from the room and was constantly interrupted by construction above us.

The property is way overpriced and there are much better options in Myrtle Beach. Definitely keep scrolling for better options!

It was not a bad room at all. The ocean view was great and we all enjoyed the proximity to the pool areas. We were on the 2nd floor so easy to just walk up and down for the few days without waiting for the elevators. Kids had such a fun time at the water areas. Good place over all and since this is in north Myrtle beach - it was quieter which we liked a lot, I wish the on the beach cabanas could have been open longer - they close at 5 pm every day. But loved the calmer beach and how we could just relax. The rooms and bathrooms are dated but completely adequate. I loved having a full size fridge in the room so we could store and heat it up in the microwave. There was a stove and oven too but we didn’t use it. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Room was okay. Not as clean as the pictures or other reviews lead me to believe. Hotel is on the older side and furniture was functional but scuffed up. I couldn’t sit at the table because the chairs were too high and my legs wouldn’t fit under the table. Just feels like it could use a facelift.

Just because your room listing said oceanfront does not mean you will see the ocean. Our room we could only see the pool which was very disappointing; but it was facing the ocean. Listings should be changed to reflect what you will be looking at when you are on the balcony.

Charged a $250 amenities fee upon arrival due to booking on a different website other than their own. The door to our room 516 was open when we got there basically because the door is really hard to close and housekeeping doesn't know how to close the door. We had to vacuum our own room since housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms and only brings new towels. The room is very outdated and needs a new pullout couch bed. Best part about this hotel is the location on the ocean and pools. Was definitely way over priced for what it is.

Balcony blocked by painters for 2 days . Just ours. Dirty floors , lights which we thought were broken had to move furniture and discovered they we’re unplugged. Mentioned the poor stay due to the painters in our window and talking loudly and was promised an email with some benefit and so far nothing . Beach hotel I suppose.
