Cons: dated room. Staff at front desk needs more service and staff. Spa while a great massage from Chrissy the front desk isn’t too great. Best service we received was the gentleman at the juice bar! Had to drive everywhere as the property is huge and spaced out. For the price I don’t think we will go again. One would expect 5 star service and that was not the case.

The amenities are worth it but you are definitely paying for amenities (hot springs, sports equipment) with the lodging (for the same price at the Broadmoor you are are treated like royalty -not the case here). The lights outside the creekside cabins kept me up at night. The wifi is horrendous. The hot springs are amazing.

The hot springs were excellent. Getting down to the river to experience the hot river water was another story. We could not find a clearly easy way to the river without hopping over large dangerous river rocks so we had to forego that. Staff was little help with that problem. So we were disappointed as that was the reason we came.

The hotel rooms at Mt Princeton are relatively expensive. We stayed in the cheaper \"Hillside\" rooms which were also expensive but were the only thing available as we booked late. So we were surprised that our $350 per night room did not have any chairs or a desk in it. After being told that our room was the bottom of the line the front desk sent up a chair.

The beds in our room were excellent and very comfortable. Everything worked and was clean. All in all the staff was very nice and friendly.

Mt. Princeton is an amazing area. It is tucked in this gorgeous valley, and the views are breathtaking.
I didn’t realize that I chose a low end room when making the reservation. The carpet was old, there was a view, if you wanted the everyone in the parking lot to see your room, and there was no patio. Thank goodness you could just step outside your door for a view.
There is so much to do around Buena Vista and Salida. We chose to just stay at the resort this time and

My kids really enjoyed the pools and river; and the water slides were fun. The room was nice enough and had a great view. It was a bit frustrating not having a table in the room, to eat at. There was actually plenty of space for one, so I was surprised there was not one. It took a while to check in too, since it takes a while to explain the amenities, and how they work. We ordered a pizza and some wings from the convenience store too, and it was delayed twice, taking 45 min longer than the original pick up time; the guy was doing the best he could. Overall, the whole property is in a great location, and is unique with it's springs. We could definitely go back, but maybe just adjust our expectations a bit.

Hot springs areas were great! Hotel room was pretty basic. Way too many lights around the area made it hard to sleep at night. Beds were ok but not recommended for multiple nights. Couch was not comfortable to sit on, the cushions kept falling off while you were sitting on it.

The pools were lovely, clean and soaking in the river is a great experience! Our Creekside room was great! Clean, super comfortable bedding and pillows, a nice kitchenette, bathroom, fireplace, and balcony on the creek! The room itself was wonderful (minus the old, gross creamers for the Nespresso coffee) Checking in at 445 PM on a Sunday was a bit frustrating - about 12 people ahead of me to check in when I arrived and probably a dozen more who came in after me, with only two staff checking folks in. Another woman came out to help by handing everyone in line a clipboard and check-in paperwork to help speed up the process, so at least they were aware and tried doing something about it. Total check in time from when I walked in the door to getting room keys was more than 45 mins. Staff at the market/ small grocery on Monday morning answered my Hi, how are you with a \"well I'm here\" so, there's that. This was my second time staying at Mount Princeton and although it's a wonderful experience overall and soaking is included in the price, it's a little pricey, in my opinion (491.00 for one night/ for three people). I still do recommend staying here. If it were even just a tad less expensive, I'd stay here much more often!

It was unfortunate that the 13+ rules were never enforced.. allowing little kids there.

The infinity pool and cascading pools were wonderful!

All great but wish there was a small table. There wasn’t any surface to put anything. Everything was done at the counter by the wash basin. The coffee machine was on top of a very small cabinet that housed the microwave. And the coffee machine and coffee accessories took up all the space. Very good coffee selection.

I absolutely loved our experience here and I wish I could’ve stayed longer! The Cliffside room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, we always had towels, as this is a resort I will say that it can be on the pricier side for drinks and meals, but honestly, the quality of the food is worth it!

My husband and I loved the quiet pool area when we needed time away from kiddos. But our absolute favorite was the infinity pool. The view is absolutely beautiful.

I love that they had either gluten-free or gluten friendly options at both the restaurant and the market!

We were there for a wedding and the venue was absolutely perfect! Everything seemed well organized, and the staff were attentive with guests!

The place was very clean. Pools only open from 9 to 9, so you aren’t allowed in them to see a sunrise or a proper sunset. The restaurant is pretty pricey.
Thursday night there was a very loud band that played until 10pm!!! Very annoying in a place that is to be used for relaxation.
We would not return.

Such a dramatically beautiful location! Our room was clean and had an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and forest. The staff was kind and truly caring, and the pools and hot springs were relaxing and therapeutic. Try to at lest stay for 2-3 days to take in all the amenities and surrounding mountains and towns. Highly recommend!

The resort was not very family-friendly, despite the advertising. The biggest pool are with the slides closed at 5PM. With all of the day pass holders the resort was very crowded. Once the upper pools closed at 5, everyone crowded down at the one pool that was still open for families. The slides have a 48” height requirement that is not listed on the website. Also, there is a whole section that is restricted for adults and we were berated multiple times for just walking through to get to our creekside suite. There is no other safe way to walk between the main lobby and the room. Will definitely wait to stay here again.

The staff is attentive and the views are awesome. If you’re looking to get away from city surroundings this will definitely be accomplished. Drinks and food are at a minimum convenience for a maximum cost. If staying bring food as the kitchenette’s provide cookware but its cooktop and microwave for the most part. Being surrounded by nature is amazing and deer came down to eat and drink from the river daily and we’re not too skittish. Make sure to pack sunblock as the skies are clear and sunburn is possible. The massage staff is great and well worth the money for a relaxing and rejuvenating time. Cleaning staff was short handed but management was accommodating.

Pros: Overall its a great stay. Large room (Creekside Suite). You feel very embedded in nature with the log cabins and creek throughout the property. Full kitchen, stove, no oven. Full size fridge and freezer allows you to save money by bringing your own food. Very clean. I love sleeping with the sound of the creek right outside my window. The hot springs were lovely. The spa was wonderful. The staff called every day to make sure I had everything I needed. I saw a herd of deer every day I was there (spring).

Cons: Shower water pressure is poor. I tried to take a free fitness class the hotel offered but when I showed up, along with one other person, no instructor ever showed up. Instead I worked out in their gym which was insanely hot (85 degrees) so I didn’t stay long. Lastly, the bed was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on in my entire life (though I barely slept because of it). Hard as stone. Maybe it was just my room. I was in physical pain every single morning because of it. I unfortunately cannot stay here again because of this. Instead of being refreshed for my trip, I was utterly exhausted when I got home.

Our room was a King Suite along the river and it was lovely. Full kitchen and even a fireplace. Bed was clean and comfortable. We went and ate at the restaurant on site and it was impeccable. The bison ribeye was one of the finest steaks I've had the opportunity to enjoy. Once again, Mt Princeton did not disappoint.

Wonderful property. One of the best hot spring resorts in Colorado. Beautiful views and friendly staff. The property is very clean. Check inn was busy but the staff was awesome and the wait was short. I stayed in the Cliffside rooms. Great place to star gaze or take a walk. I did not know it when I booked that they are pet friendly rooms. I left my pup at home so when I was woken up by loud howling and excessive barking from a nearby room. I was a little annoyed. After about 35 mins the dog stopped. Good to know next time if I want to bring my dog they have rooms available. If I don’t I can book a creekside suite where dogs are not allowed. Overall great place with lots of activities and good people.

The way to property is out of nowhere. But property is conveniently located next to hot springs. Kids enjoyed it. Clean cabin . Pool was nice and warm. You might not be able to upgrade to rooms easily. So book it accordingly. Cabins are far from main office.

The room was filthy. The carpet was stained and clearly not vacuumed. The surfaces had soap scum on them and the shower/bathroom had hair clumps from previous guests. The staff were not very friendly. When I brought up the condition of the room to the front desk so they could fix it the staffer seemed displeased that I was bringing it up and just said she would “pass along the message.” I wouldn’t call this place a “resort” it’s more of a motel that was remodeled but not kept clean.

My husband and I had a pretty good stay. Check in was easy and they let us check in early. If you mention being an Expedia gold member they gave us 2 free drinks but no room upgrades. The hot springs were great! Our favorite were the Creekside hot springs. We ate at Mary’s steakhouse a few times. The $75 3 course meal for 2 was really good. The other meals we had on different days were salmon and a chicken salad that were okay. We wanted to have pizza one night but be warned they don’t make anymore pizza after 7pm. The shop closes at 7:30 There was no sign on the door about that. We wish the convenience store was opened a bit later. The spa was okay. We did Swedish massages and they were relaxing but not very personalized even though they ask areas of focus on the sheets. All the staff were friendly!

This place was amazing. They had a huge Infiniti hot pool on the top part of the resort which was amazing. The small pool was OK kind of crowded. The creek was amazing. We did not try the restaurant besides the hot pools. There’s not much to do but I would definitely stay again. The rooms obviously need updating but they did the job. No complaints. Beds were comfortable.
