From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The owner personally welcomed us, and the doorman was sweet—honestly, everyone working here was topnotch. They take care of everything you need.
The Welcome & Dining: We checked in early & offered wine upon arrival, and dinner at the restaurant was yum—tasty food with a stunning ocean view. The restaurant attracts international travelers; we met guests from Spain and France stopping by for lunch, which added to the atmosphere.
The Room & Amenities: Our room was large & clean with comfortable beds and a balcony perfect for sitting in a swing. Don't worry too much about booking an ocean-view room—ours had one, but the cliff-side umbrella and chair setup is so good that you can always walk down to the ocean and sit there. The fridge was large enough to hold all our snacks and special food items we brought from home, and the staff even offered to store anything needing cold storage in their kitchen. The turndown service was amazing, and the WiFi worked.
Location & Activities: The hotel is quiet and is on the quieter end of Negril but close to everything—an easy walk to restaurants, Rick's Café, and lots of great shopping. The place isn't full of loud events, parties, and music, but you're near all kinds of things when you want them. There's an amazing pool good for toddlers and a great gym for getting some exercise.
Thoughtful Service:Lifeguards on duty support you if you feel a little worried about jumping in the sea

We spent 2 days in Negril. The hotel is in good condition ad the staff were superb. The waitress sering us breakfast was exceptional she went out her way to serve us. The food isa bit pricey but we enjoyed it.

From check in to check out everything went smoothly. Staff at check in and the restaraunt was very friend and extremely professional. Shanoy at the restaraunt exceptionally accomodating by dropping off a breakfast menu to our room because we couldnt down liaf the app. Property is clean, well maintained and beautiful. The property is stunning and the staff is some of the friendliest I’ve met. It’s super quiet so if you’re looking to relax this is definitely the place for you. The chef was outstanding some of the best food we’ve had in Jamaica. Spa services were all good. My only criticism is that the price for food is a bit high and they will charge you for every glass of ice tea or whatever non alcoholic beverages you are drinking. It made a high end stay into a super expensive stay.

We stayed at the Cliff Hotel for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed out visit. The property is extremely unique-taking advantage of the beautiful natural landscape on the coastline to enhance the guests' use of the water and land. We saw dolphins and a ray right out front and the sunsets were spectacular. Jumping off the cliff was a real treat and the snorkelling out front was satisfying. The staff are helpful and friendly and we felt well taken care of. The property is quiet and serene, so if you want a party scene go somewhere else. The ladies at the spa are well trained and provide very good treatments. The dishes in restaurant were tasty and portions were reasonable. Yes, of course we will return. Thank you Cliff Hotel Staff!

Wonderful stay at The Cliff

Our 2nd stay at The Cliff was as expected, fantastic! This was the perfect place for the 2 of us to getaway so we could relax and enjoy our 25th anniversary. The spacious, comfortable room and more than adequate bathroom were perfect. Water pressure and temperature were excellent every day and the air conditioning units in both the bedroom and living room were ideal. The staff was always welcoming and willing to assist with any and every request. Bartender LT and dining room attendant Romona really went above and beyond for us. The New Year’s Eve party and fireworks display were such a great time. Looking forward to our 3rd visit.

Great place to stay. It is a bit far from all the actions in Negril and the taxi drivers try to fleece you. They demand exorbitant amounts for even a short drive. Please be mindful of this.

I would kindly request the property to introduce a shuttle facility to at least Seven Mile beach either free of charge or at a reasonable price. This would definitely enhance the customer experience of staying at the Cliff Hotel.

We had a very comfortable stay. Beautiful property and lovely views. Swimming in the ocean going down the ladder off the cliff was really an invigorating experience.

I came to Jamaica to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends and we all had an amazing time at The Cliff Hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant, and they even went out of their way to make a happy birthday sign with a Prosecco for my friends and I to celebrate. The property was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. And the sunset view was unforgettable. I would definitely come back and stay again.

One of the guests in our party had a wonderful massage by Carolyn at the spa that is partly outdoors where you can hear the sound of the waves - highly recommend this experience to anyone staying at the cliff hotel! One of us was celebrating a birthday and we were surprised with champagne and chocolates in the room - it was a touching gesture and we really appreciated it! Each and every staff member’s attentiveness to detail and care played a big role in making our stay so special - thank you!

My husband and I have traveled all over the world, and The Cliff Hotel is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. Sitting at a lounge area on the cliffs will make you feel like you're at the edge of the earth, and you'll never want to leave. The rooms, grounds, staff, amenities, and food are all top-notch, and the peace and quiet of the setting is so restorative.

We originally booked a hotel on Seven Mile Beach for our trip, and we debated whether or not to cancel that reservation and stay at The Cliff instead since we hear that the vibe on the beach is very different than on the cliffs; we kept our original reservation, and after one night there we realized we'd made a mistake and booked to spend the second half of our vacation at The Cliff Hotel. Arriving at The Cliff and ending our vacation here redeemed everything that went awry during the first half of our trip, and we are already looking at dates to return next winter. If you are wanting a peaceful, luxurious Caribbean getaway, look no further--this is heaven on earth.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and updated. There could be 100 people there and it will feel like you’re the only one. The staff is so helpful and welcoming.

My only tiny compliment is the pricing on food. It’s way overpriced for what you’re getting. You could drive down to Ivan’s (a restaurant at a different resort) get the exact same meal that is much more delicious, pay for cab fare to and from and still save $20. That’s the only thing they need to work on. We are our every lunch & dinner and ate breakfast out once but wish we had eaten breakfast away from the resort instead.

The staff is nice as in most Jamaica resorts. The property is very nice. The problem was that we were, literally the only 2 people there. There is only 1 restaurant that serves mediocre food and 2 bars. Since there was no else there most times the bars were not staffed, we felt guilty about making the staff scurry around just for us and hence felt we should over tip. There is no music playing or entertainment. You have to take a cab anywhere else is you want to go that will cost $20 dollar one way plus tip. There is no beach and if you want to take a walk there is no where to go. After 3 days we decided we had to leave to salvage some vacation time. Of course they would not give us any of our money back even though the resort was not what was advertised. We went to AZUL and had a fantastic time with music, fun and other vacationers.

It's a beautiful property but not a lot of onsite activities available. The massage was excellent, the pool is so nice and the staff are really pleasant. The room could have been a tad cleaner, the bathroom needed a little extra care and the carpet in the room needed a deep clean I think.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cliff. Even though it's not an all inclusive, with the price given from Hotels.com, it was definitely value for money. The food from the Zest restaurant was consistently excellent. Manager, Vernon was on site everyday, very hospitable and accommodating along with his staff. The property was clean. Views were breathtaking. Parking was adequate, which is hard to find in Negril. Wifi was decent and the Smart Tv was great. Just 1 complaint. Only water came in the fridge. We's appreciate 2 Red Stripes next time :)
