Natstop på vej hjem fra Frankrig, hvor vores behov er et værelse med en god seng og resturant med klassisk tysk mad og vin. Hotel Schneider er perfekt til dette. Nem parkering, fint værelse og hyggelig resturant, med klassisk og god tysk mad. Der er også en slagter, så focus meget på kød og af god kvalitet.

Mein Mann und ich haben eine Nacht im Hotel Schneider verbracht. Leider war das Zimmer bzw. das gesamte Haus nicht sauber. Spinnenweben, Staub, Fleck auf der Decke. Hinzu kam ein altes Bad, das unangenehm roch. Das Personal war beim Einchecken nicht anwesend,trotz Check-In Zeit, sodass ein Bekannter, der bereits in der Unterkunft war, den Schlüssel vorab besorgen musste.

Es handelt sich um eines der ältesten Häuser in der Altstadt von Lich. Man kann es mögen oder nicht, ich mag sowas. Entsprechend muss aber auch die Erwartungshaltung für die Zimmer sein. Es war alles sehr sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das personal inkl. Chef war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder.

Für den Preis kann man nicht mehr erwarten. Das Zimmer geräumig, Betten okay, die Handtücher schon ziemlich verschlissen, Fernsehen in Ordnung. Der Chef persönlich bemühte sich um die Gäste. Nachts sehr unruhig, bis 00.30 Uhr Geräusche aus dem Biergarten, bei über 30°C mussten die Fenster offen bleiben. Die Speisekarte entsprach dem Geschäft, Fleischerei mit angeschlossenem Hotelbetrieb.

Grundsätzlich ist das kleine Hotel in Ordnung. Wer absolute Ruhe und Erholung sucht wird nicht glücklich, durch die Gastwirtschaft im Erdgeschoss zieht erst tief in die Nacht Ruhe im Haus ein. Aber dafür bekommt man hier wunderbare und recht preiswert echte deutsche Hausmannskost, lecker wer es deftig mag.

Leider habe ich ein sehr in die Jahre gekommenes Zimmer erhalten. Es gibt alte Zimmer, aber wie kann man seinen Gästen komplett durchlöcherte Bettwäsche anbieten? Und heftig wie viel Staub im Zimmer an Heizkörper, Lüfter usw. hängt. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Die Unterkunft ist in jedem Bereich zu empfehlen. Unbedingt im Restaurant zum Essen gehen. Das Fleisch ist beste Qualität. Wir haben sogar noch in der hauseigenen Metzgerei eingekauft. Top-Unterkunft. Wir kommen wieder.
