Hotel on busy highway so there was traffic noise all night . The area seemed safe enough but we didn’t stay a second night as there was questionable “stains” on the walls, trash behind the table between the beds & the sheets seemed like they were “grainy”, a very uncomfortable feeling

In the room there were stains on the sink cabinet and there was a puddle of water in front of refrigerator when we checked in. The shower water pressure was terrible and took forever to get shampoo out of our hair.. The hair dryer didn't blow hot air. Told him about it and he said he didn't have a replacement. Asked him to take one out of vacant room and he said all rooms were booked. Not true, rooms were empty and sign still said vacancies. We were there two nights and when we came back to room it was never cleaned and dirty towels still on the bathroom floor. Went to office and he said you have to ask to have room cleaned. Yet in the room they left a envelope with a note for a tip. Lol

This hotel is very near shipping, American Music Theatre, and many other Lancaster attractions. The room itself quite small. It's definitely an effeciency room, very sparse but the price is certainly fair for that. It seems clean, the beds are very comfortable
My one complaint is that there isn't anywhere to hang anything.

This property claims pet friendly. IT IS NOT. Tried to check in and they would not give me a room. Was also charge for a no show. Because of total incompetence by Expedia I missed my nephew's wedding ceremony. In addition the place is a dump. The pictures are phony. I was also charge which I am fighting as I DID SHOW UP AND WAS REFUSED A ROOM. TOTAL FRAUD BY ALL.

30 minute wait for someone to show up at the front office to check in. I had to make phone calls.
The room seemed to be clean but i soon found dirt and hair. The bed was hard and it was hard to get good sleep on.
Staff had a strong Indian accent which made communication harder than it should have been

DO NOT BOOK HERE! It’s run incompetently.
My husband and I arrived at check in time - there was nobody at the front desk and the door was locked. Taped on the door was a piece of paper with two phone #s. I called the first one - no answer , I called the second one - no answer. The second one called me back about 3-5 mins later stated they will be there in 10-15 minutes so we were able to check in. Once they finally came we went to pay but they stated they only took credit card as well as charging a security deposit to make it easier to refund the security deposit. (This was not stated prior in the reservation)
Fast forward three weeks later I still have no refund - I called today and they stated I had to be present and in person in order to get my deposit back. This is absolutely insane. We were on vacation hours away from home. this is very inconvenient to us, had this been explained prior to the reservation we would have looked elsewhere to stay.

We had 3 rooms. It was close to the main road and I was nervous. We stayed one night. Rooms were clean but it rained and there was no mat when you walked in the door so it became very slippery and dirty in the room pretty quickly. Other than that we would stay again!

When I booked this room we were traveling with our dog and I saw that they charged a $20 fee for pets. When we got there we were told that they did not allow pets. I see that I got charged a no show fee but we did show and turned away the owner. If they don’t allow pets then they need to update their website or not charge a fee when we show up with our dog

Restful affordable clean beautiful farmland scenes

Room was super clean. Front reception gentleman was kind, courteous, professional and helpful. The location was wonderful, beautiful scenery of farm land. Easily accessible to all amenities. Much nicer than any hotel downtown in Lancaster. Parking immediately in front of your room, very convenient & no hassles with valet or separate garage. If you are wanting to complain about no chair or clothes hanging area or old paint( paint was fresh) or stupidity like missing bath or shower plug( there was none missing) then go to another motel/ hotel and pay the $200-$300 extra to get the wussified pampering; our room had both, chair, clothes hangers and clean bath/ shower, toiletries, dryer clean bedding and was roomy. Very restful. Sitting areas outside your room. All in all a very nice restful clean accommodation. Very affordable. If you want more, go elsewhere and pay more for a lesser wholesome experience. I would definitely return just for the tranquil rest and lovely setting and clean affordable motel.

The property is listed as “newly renovated” but the renovations were completed by a DIY person…at least I hope for the owner's sake. The shower head could not rinse the soap off, the floors had holes and made noises, and the outlet above the bed was so loose you could not plug something into it because there wasn’t anything to stop the outlet. The man at the front desk was nice. The motel sits on the main road and it is truck heavy at times which made it a bit noisy. In the end, it was sufficient enough to get a nights sleep away from home.

There was two (2) electrical outlets, and the shower head leaked badly.

We were in town from Wisconsin for a funeral. There was nowhere to hang clothes!!!! The bathroom is tiny, not enough room for one person, let alone two. There was no table or any room whatsoever to put your luggage and personal belongings. We dragged in two patio chairs from the \"courtyard\" to put our stuff on and made a makeshift nightstand for one side of the bed *mine\" that had nothing and no outlets to charge my devices or set my water or eyeglasses on. I asked for an iron to touch up clothes for funeral, a usual standard at even a Motel 6 and was told no. Is this what you should expect these days for $110?? Very disappointed and would not recommend!

Practical & Budget Friendly

This was a bargain property. I was attending a concert and just needed somewhere to stay before and after and this suited and toot can’t beat the price. The only negative was that there is no closet or space to hang clothing. But it’s relatively clean and updated. It was no frills and the room was small and walls have some scuffs so they were a bit dingy BUT…the bed was super comfortable and overall, the while the stay wasn’t luxurious, it was certainly worth the price. I’d definitely recommend and stay again if I needed an affordable spot.

Not the greatest stay

I had an 8 night reservation and my room was only cleaned the first night. I placed the card for the room to be cleaned 2 other days, but the gentleman at the desk told me he was too busy to get to it. There are only 10 rooms. I actually needed trash taken out and clean towels, instead i took my trash to a dumpster on site to get it out of my room. Also, you have to call them on your cell phone to get abyone to come to the office. I encountered 3 different times waiting for someone to recharge my key card. Its ok for one night stays, but not for extended stays. As a woman traveling alone I felt they didnt value me or my time.

We had read previous reviews and expected a nicer place. Oi. No one was there to greet us at all. When they showed up they told us that check out was at 10 am. The board on the wall said 11. I asked if he was sure. He read the board and says, \"ojay, fine. It's 11\"

I've never seen a smaller room. The bathroom door didn't open all the way, there wasn't room. 2 small full size beds took up all the room.
Tiny bathroom with something running down the side of the vanity. I don't want to know what that was.

Watch Out For Surprise Charges!

I have booked at The Lancaster Motel twice, only stayed once. My stay in October 2024 was good. Clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful front desk service. No real issues at all.

My last booking (I did NOT stay) was in January 2025. I booked the room via hotels.com based on my previous visit and chose pay on-site. When I arrived to check in, I was informed that there was a $100 security deposit due before I could check in. And that only Cash would be accepted for the deposit. When I questioned it, as I was not charged that in October, I was told it was a new policy. Fine. But there was no mention anywhere on their listing of this requirement. The desk person would not provide contact info for the management so I could ask them about it. I decided not to stay and was told when leaving that my card would not be charged since I declined the room. But I was charged. I emailed hotels.com who contacted the motel twice and was told both times that despite the circumstances the motel “declined to provide a refund.” I will NEVER stay at this motel again. And would recommend anyone considering it call before booking to get the full story. Or select the “reservation protection” option with hotels.com or a refundable booking option.


I will say that when I called and spoke to a representative at hotels.com they recognized the situation for what it was and provided a refund for the booking themselves. Which I appreciated very much.

Went to check in after booking room through Expedia, hand them my credit card and drivers license, they said I need a $100 security deposit, I said that’s fine you can put on my card. Well they proceeded to say I needed a $100 cash security deposit, I told them I didn’t have that much cash on me, they said go next door to the gas station to get it out of the atm, I said no and to cancel my room through them & Expedia. There is a charge on my credit card statement that I used to reserve my room, and it is next to impossible to talk to a live person at Expedia. The whole deal seemed extremely shady to me, and I am extremely frustrated with Expedia which I used all the time for work travel up to this point.

It is a nice little place to stay with friendly staff. The room was smaller than it looked in the pictures, but was enough for a 1 night stay. Biggest issue was, it was about 33°F outside and when I walked into the room it was so cold there was a layer of ice in the toilet that did not allow the used paper to go down. It took until I showered for it to melt completely. I turned the heat on high and it took about 3 hrs to feel comfortable in the room without a hat and sweatshirt on. Heat was not on at all when I arrived.
There were a few items either not mentioned on website or that were different from website. First, there is a $100 cash security deposit that you will get back after the room is checked at checkout, but most people do not carry cash. That is not mentioned any where. Second, checkout is 10am, not 11am as mentioned on website.
If it was warmer out I'm sure the room would have been better though.

I was in room number one. 1.)The room is very small. It only has one upright dresser and one night stand. 2.) The mini fridge sits on the floor and the microwave sits on top of mini fridge. They should be on a stand for sanitary reasons and ease of use. 3.) No coffee maker to be found. 4.) The wall that I assume the shower piping is behind has black mold towards the baseboard. 5.) The wall in front of the toilet ( which is very confined ) had dirty drip marks running down the wall. Yikes. 6.)The headboard banged the wall whenever moving in the bed. 7.)The heater was extremely noisy! I turned it off so I could sleep and ended up cold. 8.)The parking is cramped and I worried about my car being damaged. 9.) The hotel sign was off at night and drove past a few times. 10.)They have one wall switch that controls power everything ! what a Pain! 11.) The floors looked like they were not swept. 12.) the patio tables where dirty and staind.
FYI:The traffic noise is loud and the smell of cow manure was strong ( obviously they have no control). You decide if you want to check in or not. This is what I observed.

Room was very spacious but somewhat dated, bathroom nicely remodeled. There was no closet. Had to hang clothes on 4 hooks by the door. There was a small coffee maker but no pot to make coffee. Nice to have a mini fridge and microwave but a little “old” looking. Half a roll of toilet tissue, and only two towels for a reservation of 3 adults. Beds were comfy. Not bad for an overnight stay. It’s just an average “motel”, nothing fancy. Okay for an overnight stay.

Overall we were very satisfied for this hotel, for the price. The room was clean and based on photos and other reviews, it was exactly what we expected. A budget hotel close to where we wanted to stay. Literally the only downside, which was mentioned in other reviews, was the air/heat unit’s noise. It is very loud for the room, so much that rather than stay warm, we turned it off for the night so we could sleep comfortably. Road noise as mentioned in other reviews, was present but not terrible. I suppose if you had the room closest to the roadway it might have been a problem at times. So if you want an inexpensive comfortable place for a night or 2 without frills… this is a good option.

Its clean, one part of ceiling was open, an access panel maybe but made me paranoid seeing it open. So i had to cover it! Good for an overnight, for sleeping only since $139 only

Humble but very nice...but no electrical outlets!!

This is a very old and small property, but it has been remodeled. There is crisp fresh paint everywhere and our shower stall and vanity (marble or faux marble) were truly beautiful. The bed was comfortable and we were able to control the AC to desired temperature--something that is sometimes lacking in budget properties.

BUT...there were no electrical outlets suitable for working. We established two work stations and took turns rotating positions:
1) seated on the one chair with no desk or table surface (working without charging),
and
2) standing at the vanity sink (while charging) with no counter space, trying to keep the electronics from falling into the sink.
There weren't even outlets near the beds--only above the sink.

So I'm torn about what type of review to write. If we hadn't needed the outlets, we would have loved this little place. It had everything we needed...except outlets.

To the management--I know that it is very expensive to have the entire property rewired by a licensed electrician. But many older hotels have at the very least purchased lamps for the nightstands that include at least a couple of outlets. I think they wouldn't be terribly expensive. Maybe that could be your next improvement. Thanks for listening.

There is a house attached to the hotel. People were on the porch playing loud music until after 11pm. Their voices were even louder. There was an opening in our ceiling. You could see the attic. Room was tiny. You opened the door and took 2 steps and were in the bed. Lol

I appreciated the location on the edge of town and there is a very nice gas station/convenience store next door. Very safe neighborhood feel. Great value.

Big issue with flies

As soon as we stepped in the room, we were greeted by a bunch of flies. I managed to kill 4 out of 5 flies during my stay. Also the smell of manure was unbearable whenever I stepped out of the room. The only plus is the location. I will not stay here again.

We had a great stay for one night. My sons and I were comfortable and the place was clean. After my stay I received three phone calls from them asking me to rate them on Expedia. I don’t like the harassment, but the stay was fine.

The room is very small, no desk or chair. Appliances very old. The room was very clean though. If you’re looking just for a place to sleep a couple of hours, this is fine. My room was changed because of flies but then again there’s a field across this motel, so the door has to be shut quickly to avoid flies entering.
The owner was pleasant.
