Stayed in cabana suite, *note that they are on both 1st and second floors. 1st has day bed on balcony and a 4ft path to pool, and 2nd has small table and two chairs on balcony. We were assuming we would have pool access from the room but no.

My main frustration was when a friend brought a nice bottle of wine and we called to have some wine glasses brought to the room at 2:30 pm, called again at 4:00, and again and 6:00pm, and finally again at 7:30pm when they finally brought them but the bottle was already gone after drinking from flimsy plastic cups since the friend did not have 6 hrs to wait for our toast. Each time housekeeping/front desk/room service said they were “bringing them immediately.” Having to improvise as there were ZERO cups or glasses or plates or dishes anywhere in the suite that happens to flaunt a full bar set up is wild. We assumed they had forgotten to set them up? But calling four times and waiting 5 hours for something so simple at $800/night is just not the standard I would expect.

Outlets did not work in (gorgeous) bathroom so expect to dry hair in the aformentioned bar.

Pool is 10/10. Staff at pool, temp of water, availability of towels and upkeep of area are excellent. Come for the pool, maybe don’t splurge on the room :/

We loved it-saw a classic cinema movie-had breakfast by the pool. We couldn’t enjoy the whole hotel because pool was closed when we checked-in and the lobby was closed the entire stay. Staff was great and helpful.

We called our two day experience at the Roosevelt like an escape room. Upon our arrival, we were told that the lobby and the pool area would not available for our two day stay. They rented it out to a movie company to shoot a movie, at the hotel for those days. Because of the movie we were routed through Service elevators and back stairs to get to our room. The room air-conditioning didn’t work. We talked to them about that. The first day they came to fix it and it stopped an hour later. The room also had the window painted so that you couldn’t see out. When we asked why we couldn’t have a room that didn’t feel like a dungeon. They said that was painted that way so we didn’t have to see the air conditioner units that were outside the window. Front desk was mostly not any help except one girl who offered us a free breakfast for all the hassles. Apparently, according to staff they rent out short notice quite often to movie companies so beware if you’re coming for a pool and sunshine, you get the back elevators instead. On a good note, the beds were great. They did have a new bathroom sink. We checked out early. Very disappointed.

In 5 days, they shut down the lobby and pool multiple times. Once for private events like a wedding, one for a Red Bull event and once for a show that someone was filming. It was a bit disruptive and made guests feel like we didn’t belong there. Otherwise it was nice.

Loved the old style Hollywood feel, the floors, decor, history of the building and staff. Location was close to the Lowes Chinese theater, and hollywood stars. We felt safe although it can get busy outside. The staff at the hotel were very professional, responsive and courteous. Consistently cleaning and keeping everything in excellence. Valet team was always very kind. Front Desk always greeted us and smiled. Room was very clean, turndown service and it is quaint. It was a small room but it was all we needed. There was a wedding event while we were there, so we only saw the pool on one evening while it was closed, but the ambiance was beautiful. Depending on what floor and side of the building you stay on, it can get loud due to outdoor traffic and the music from the events but our room was facing the sidewalk, so we only heard some of it. My husband is a light sleeper and he slept through it all. The noise did not impact our stay. We only wish that we could have seen more of the property, but the events prevented that. I would not count on the hotel amenities to be your primary venture, unless you're renting the space. Because events will take priority. The staff will send you text messages to make you aware of most closures. Nevertheless, we had a full itinerary outside of the hotel, so this did not derail our stay. We would stay again because it was great for what we needed.

I have stayed at the Roosevelt for at least a decade. This time I had booked for four nights. Of the four nights, they had special events for three of them involving loud music. Two of those events were on Saturday and Sunday by the pool. We could not use the pool as they had sold bottle table service. Will not stay there again.

An Art Deco Vibe with cool swimming pool but with lots of added on expenses. Parking is Valet, $75/night. The hotel is in a dicey neighborhood so that is your best option. You will also pay a $37 destination fee per night upon check out so whatever price you paid for your room add another $112 to it per night. We arrived at 2pm but were told our room wasn't ready so to come back at 3pm (normal check in time) They did offer to hold our luggage but did not give us any suggestions on what to do for the next hour. On our own we decided to hang out at the pool where it was packed with current clientele but we were able to get a seat on the couch by the bar. When we were checked in the front desk did not tell us anything about the hotel and what it offers. I knew it had a Speak Easy so I asked about it but it is only opened on Thursday-Sunday (we stayed Monday & Tuesday). The Lobby had a piano but no piano player until the weekends. The other 2 bars were closed so the only thing open was the lounge by the pool. The Front Desk didn't tell us anything about the surrounding areas. For as much as you pay for the room you should be treated better and given the features with their hours of everything at the hotel. There is free coffee by the pool in the mornings. If you want to get a lounge chair poolside get there when they open-8am or earlier. We got a \"tower\" deluxe room which was very spacious but we could hear noise from Hollywood Blvd. We were on the 3rd floor.

The property held multiple events in the pool area over three days of the five days we were there. These were only announced the day before! The pool area was closed early to prepare for these events and we could not use the area which is a main reason we booked there. The event was extremely loud so much so that it was not possible to even remain in the room and went late into the night. When we complained they offered use of a pool across the street. But that was not convenient either and as it would have made for a very crowded space. They did not follow up as they had promised and did not offer to compensate us for the inconvenience. What was shocking is that they had no idea when their events had been arranged and could not alert the guests when booking. I would not recommend this property!

This hotel is excellent if you want a real Hollywood experience. The location is right in the heart of it. The rooms are small but that is typical for hotels of this era. The lobby is a magnificent room where it is easy to have a group chat, sit and have a drink at the lobby bar (5pm-10pm) or just hang out. The beds and pillows were fabulous- some of the most comfortable bedding that I have experienced in a hotel. Be forewarned however- the $35/day resort feel and the $75/day valet parking fee will add an additional $100+ to the final bill.

Great property. There was an event happening on the main road, however valet was on the side of the building and that helped a lot. There is a lot of history in this hotel. Ask to be on the 9th floor. I believe that is where some of the \"ghost\" sightings were. The front desk clerk put me on floor 7 and said that was the floor, but when I looked into it, it was the 9th floor.

The room was lovely, bright, quiet, and comfortable, but it was dusty on the nightstand, the small table, and the bedframe. The refrigerator in the room is not for storing anything; it is only for the hotel’s minibar items. The hallways and walls feel dark and unattractive, and they look dirty. The hallways and walls do not match the room — thank goodness. The complimentary coffee in the garden is a warm touch, but the complimentary bottles of water in the room are limited to two bottles upon arrival. Additional water bottles can be purchased in your room. The pool and café are relaxing, and the food is tasty. Love the vibe in that area. Things move more slowly in the restaurant, which I think is intentional — to help you slow down, relax, and enjoy your stay. It is a dog-welcoming hotel. As a dog lover and owner of three dogs, I was put off by the dogs in restaurants and on the lounge chairs by the pool. The valets are outstanding. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Stayed in the Cabana Room for 5 nights, was a nice room for 2 people. However, received a text during our stay that the Historic Lobby of the hotel would be closed for two days due to a filming event, so we never really got to see the hotel outside of our room and explore what it had to offer (historic lobby, spare room, etc.). On our last day the lobby was open so we walked in and got told by security they were “watching us on the cameras wander around”, questioning if we were guests and that we needed to leave. Rude tone/comment to make considering he would have seen us on the cameras come from our hotel room. When we explained we were staying at the hotel and wanted to see inside he told us we couldn’t be there because of ANOTHER event being held in the room next door, that was never made aware to guests. Also found dried up eye contacts in the bathroom, and hair in my chicken tacos when we got lunch. For the amount of money you spend and amenities unavailable, staff could be nicer.

My husband and I stayed at Hollywood Roosevelt to have a long weekend in Hollywood and see a concert. We loved our stay at Hollywood Roosevelt! Very comfortable room with wildly close access to all things Hollywood Blvd! Despite being right in the heart of Hollywood, our room was very quiet, cozy and relaxing. I tend to struggle with a good night rest in hotels, but we had great nights of sleep and mid-days naps. Comfortable bed. Beautiful space full of lovely details and creativity. All staff was very helpful and kind. Incredible location, we were able to walk to the Hollywood Palladium from the hotel. We look forward to our next stay here!!

I stayed at the Roosevelt with my partner for 3 days of relaxation and it was a dream! We spent a lot of time at the pool where the staff was super kind and attentive. The pool bar also had surprisingly good food at reasonable prices. Our room was clean and quiet, great bed and linens, great shower. The location is right in Hollywood. We will definitely be back!

Please skip the show \"Down the Rabbit Hole\". It was so bad we left 30 minutes in. The sound was loud and tinny that it hurt, the acting was bad, the dancers were not in synch, and it made no sense at all. They are trying to be this raunchy cabaret, but it failed in every single way. The 5 star reviews this is getting have to be fake. My stay at Hollywood Roosevelt would have been perfect if I had not wasted over $250 at this \"show\".

It is not a family friendly location whatsoever. As an example good luck using the pool, pool area is nothing more than hook up place like a frat party of people hanging around drinking alcohol. Mostly singles and odd at that. Everything at hotel is much overpriced and nothing complimentary. Examples a bottle of water $11 bucks in room, no complimentary coffee in morning anywhere. You have to buy a small cup of coffee from them for $7.77. Fyi, your better off staying somewhere else off the Hollywood Blvd too. Hollywood and Highland is a dump and unsafe to be.

Booked a “Superior Queen Room” at the Hollywood Roosevelt through Expedia, only to discover the mattress was actually a full-size bed (54” wide). Two adults sharing a full bed made for a pretty miserable night of sleep.

What’s frustrating is that the room was specifically advertised as a queen room. This wasn’t just a comfort issue, it was a completely different bed size than what was booked and paid for.

To their credit, the hotel waived the destination fee and gave us a small food/drink credit after we complained, but it didn’t change the fact that the room itself was misrepresented.

The hotel has a cool atmosphere and history, but for the price, I expected the room description to be accurate. Double check exactly what bed you’re getting before booking.

If you want the real Hollywood scene, look no further. The Hollywood Roosevelt brings the old-world charm and classic LA energy that you want from a legendary neighborhood. Plus, you’re right on Hollywood Boulevard—an easy walk to the El Capitan, the Chinese Theatre, and all the action.
The service here is absolutely first-rate. A huge shout-out to Mo at valet, Rocco handling the bags, and Mark & Benjamin at the front desk, who went completely out of their way to lock in the exact room we wanted in the tower. They genuinely care about making sure you're happy.
We’ve been loyal guests here for a long time, and it’s our go-to spot every single time we're in town. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here!

The room was overlooking the pool which was just lovely. The pool does get busy on the weekend but it was quiet during the week.
The location near Hollywood Boulevard made it a great kickoff point for the places we wanted to visit in LA.
The staff at the hotel is very helpful and courteous. I was appreciative of their work on more than one occasion.
If I make my way back to LA I would definitely stay here.

Everything about this property is amazing and the value is great too. My one complaint is that the dining options keep decreasing. The breakfast and burger place on the Boulevard is closed and the signature restaurant closes early for some reason. The kitchen closed at 9 on a Thursday night when the restaurant and the lobby were packed. I presume this is some consultant telling them this is a good way to cut costs, but they never take account of lost revenue or loss of goodwill with guests who want to eat after coming home from an event.

The stay was nice. The hotel does sound a little creaky, but it is 99 years old. The rooms are very clean and restored well. Superior rooms have hard wood floors, tiled shower, desk and a king bed. The room also includes robes, a safe and a large closet for storage. There is a mini bar in the room. Tv is modern and has multiple streaming aps you can use if you have the respective streaming account.

Great pool, food was good. Room was not maintained well. Sink wouldn’t drain, door had to be pushed hard to lock.even repair man left our room unlocked due to the door problem. Nothing was taken while it remained unlocked . Manager removed the destination fee of $39 each night which we thought was a ridiculous fee anyway.

I do have to say it is quite outdated which I did figure but the amenities were not the best and the staff didn’t know basic things about the hotel for example where the ice machine was. But charging 75 a day to keep your car on the property was one of the most egregious things of the trip. I get paid parking the hotel I work at does it but 75 a night… that is definition of gouging your guests. Maybe tie in free or discounted parking for guests. Room was clean and tidy. Restroom was shockingly small though.

The hotel had lots of character and the staff was exceptionally nice. It was clean and the pool area was very beautiful. It was a very cool old hotel and very well maintained.
It was in a very good location on Hollywood Blvd.
Character does not equal comfort when it comes to bathroom size. The bathroom was to small. I would have to go into the room just to towel off.
The DESTINATION FEE seems to me like a money grab at the end of your stay.

Nice hotel with a twenty - four hour gym, which is important. Good central location. We would have given this property five - stars though we're not fans of their parking situation. Very expensive and valet only; and the valet team seems overworked, which adds to the inconvenient waiting time for your automobile. At the very least a \" pre - pay \" option ought to be offered to their customers who stay a mimimum amount of days, offering a bulk - rate discount for parking .

Highly recommend! Right in the center of Hollywood walk of fame, everything we needed was in walking distance. Staff was amazing, the Spare Room bar with bowling was super cool, we loved the burgers and beers and especially the staff at 25 degrees bar. The pool area and bar are also very nice. Keep in mind parking is $75 a night if you keep your car there!

Would have been good to have been notified in advance about this as it was a weekend. Very loud after party until the early hours for the new Michael film. Again no communication about this. Staff wonderful and if you can get a cabana room then it is a superb hotel. The main block rooms are nothing overly special. Not as good as my last stay.

I love the Roosevelt Hotel, its right in the Hub of Hollywood Blvd, which is very convenient when one has a gig down the Block at Lucky Strike Hollywood! (Shaqueen.music)

Shout Outs to Concierge DEAN, sharp dressed and Helpful, and Nathan working at Shirley Brasserie who was an excellent Waiter.

Excellent stay overall, but the ac units in the cabana rooms are either totally off or on hyper blast mode. Made for a very unbalanced temperature experience in room. Also, $75/night valet charge!!! That’s in addition to the hotel resort fee.

The hotel was perfect for me and my adult daughter for a long weekend. It’s right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame so a great central location to lots of sightseeing. The pool was nice, gym was great, and our room was clean and comfy. An overall great experience.

The lobby is beautiful, and the room was tastefully updated. Unfortunately, our room was on the fourth floor right next to noisy air conditioning exhausts, and I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Some front desk people were really nice while others were not so welcoming. We didn’t get any explanation about WiFi, checkout time, etc. during the check-in. In the room, there are so much things for purchase - a fridge full of alcohols, 6 water bottles on tables, and hotel merchandise in and on the cabinet. We didn’t love that these things took lots of space in the room.

When we were having drinks in the lobby, a suspicious person started talking to us. She was soon removed by the security, and the hotel staff explained that she stole a hotel key card to drink for free. The staff apologize for that and was very kind. But if you are staying in this area, know that the Hollywood Blvd is really sketchy. We were glad to have stayed in this iconic hotel, but we would probably stay outside of this area and take a ride to this area to enjoy theaters and stores on our next trip to Hollywood.
