This is a superb hotel in the most amazing position in Loches. Beautiful town with all amenities. The hotel has everything you need, fantastic helpful staff. Beautiful fittings throughout with inside pool. The large public car park is in front of the hotel, free to park. It does get busy but not a problem. Can't recommend this hotel enough, one of the very very best.

Amazing and beautiful hotel, we arrived in the evening when it was all lit up. Majestic! The pool was beautiful, definately a spa vibe. Loved our room and they had even left a dog bowl for our dog. Ant complain about the building at all, spot on! The only things that let us down, and one to note for late arrivals - we arrived too late (after 9pm) so couldn't get any food either at the hotel or locally. The hotel didn't do any type of bar snack either so no crisps etc either. The bar charged us 47 euros for a rum and coke (no mainstream cola brands) and a soft drink! This wouldn't have been so bad but the room only had powdered milk so I couldn't even have a decent cuppa. Come prepared even though it's a 4 star!

Rather grand hotel, right in the centre of Loches, which is a beautiful town. Free parking directly outside the hotel. Numerous bars, restaurants and shops within 5 minutes' walk. Excellent stop-over but leave time to explore Loches itself.

This is a top class hotel. It is situated right in the centre of a lovely Loire town with ample free parking. We had a superior room, which was very good value and extremely spacious. We especially appreciated the large bath, a rarity in French hotels.

The staff is always wonderful. The pool and sauna area are fabulous. I haven’t done breakfast yet. I always enjoy sitting at the bar. The kids loved the game room. It’s so central and very comfortable and the beds are fantastic. The only thing that could be a little better is having the TV switch Abel into English language When there are programs on TF one in English. Fantastic hotel, and really pretty.

The hotel is beautiful. It was renovated about 5 years ago but it is still fully carpeted, which wasn’t the best. Also, our room was on the top floor and did not have a functioning window. The room was extremely hot and no a/c.

Great property in a very convenient square close to town centre. Free parking at front of property. Lovely terrace to have both breakfast and dinner. Wonderful choice for breakfast to suit all tastes. Dinner was ok, starters delicious but both mains were lacking. Lamb was chewy and fish overcooked and lacked seasoning. Good wine list. Staff very friendly and helpful with good sense of humour. Would definitely stay again.

The bar and terrace was closed the second night we were there for a private function, disappointed we wouldn’t use it and no other provision was made for residents to have a drink. There is a large restaurant area and some of this could have been used.

A beautiful property in a great location in the center of Loches, a medieval town. The rooms were adequate but could have had a few more amenities for a 4 star hotel. The hotel seems that it needs to be better managed: welcome at the reception was not great, there were no more towels at the spa and in the room, the shower stall could have been cleaner in the corners.So all in all it could be an amazing hotel but it lacks some key components still.

A gem in Loches

Fantastic location in there heart of the beautiful small town of Loches, with views towards the Royal Citadel. Our room had a huge balcony with the same fantastic view as from the main terrace, perfect for a late in-room breakfast. Modern decor inside a beautifully restored 19th Century building. We purchased our tickets for the visit at the hotel and walked to the site. We had diner outside on the terrace, very good cuisine, service is a but junior and not all are English speakers. I am always hesitant when I see \"Best Western\" in front of a hotel in France, but now I understand the \"Premier\" brand. 100% recommend.

2 night stay. Loches is a wonderful town. Hotel is very clean and front desk service excellent. Room was very clean and well equipped. Did not have breakfast but did have evening meals in the restaurant. Food very good if a bit pricey. Only 4 stars as service on last night in bar and restaurant was very slow and staff were seemingly disorganised.
Rooms pricey as not including breakfast but a good base to stay.

I booked this hotel largely on the reviews on here. It looks great when you arrive- a lovely new car park (although when we arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening it was full - we were just lucky to find a space as someone left). Big problem at checkin in that we had booked a superior room with balcony but there was apparently a problem with communication between hotels.com and the hotel and we were allocated the most basic of rooms. The hotel was almost fully booked and our choice of room could not be honoured - we were ‘upgraded’ to a family room but this was a ground floor room and we had no use for the children’s room. I asked for compensation and was told that was not possible because we had been ‘upgraded’. The room was nice enough but the linens felt mostly polyester and the air conditioning was inadequate - we had a fairly uncomfortable night. On the plus side the room was actually very quiet and on its own on the opposite of the stairwell to the other rooms. Best thing is location as the town is pretty but we would not return for the reasons mentioned.

We liked the spacious accommodations - two floors (rather unique) plus another small bedroom within the same suite. We also appreciated impressive architectural details with huge ceiling beams.

Parking is conveniently located in front of the hotel and plentiful. Location is excellent and old town and restaurants are just an easy walk away. Hotel and room are in excellent condition and bathroom is luxurious.

The only suggestions would be to add a compact refrigerator in the bedroom and also to have some small bar soaps ( we found the liquid soap bottle not functioning properly and not everyone likes the liquid soap option).

Great location in the centre of Loches. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a \"Standard Room, queen bed\" which transpired to be on the 2nd floor under the roof.
Things to Note:
1. There may not be a fridge in the room (ours was too small to allow, but cant tell if this was true for all rooms).
2. You may be allocated a room on 2nd floor which is under the roof and may contain interesting wood beams but will only have a velux window and no view.
3. The Parking offered is in the public square outside the hotel. Spaces are free but cannot be guaranteed.

Wonderful hotel in restored historic building

Magnificent sympathetically recently restored former Palais de Justice insuperb setting in the beautiful historic city of Loches. The room, the breakfast and particularly the staff were of the highest quality. The only negative was the evening meal. A very limited menu, with main course comprising a tiny parcel of pork with 3 different types of courgette!! Not the most interesting vegetable and cooking it three different ways did not inmo improve this. In addition, the wine was poorly served, again inmo! I ordered a Vouvray to start with and a Chirouble to accompany the main course.
I had not finished the white wine when the wine waiter (manager?) poured the red wine into the same glass! even though there was white wine unfinished. A disappointing meal but this did not detract from our stay in this most impressive hotel. Word of advice, we would recommend L’Entract and The Hotel de France for diner.- both excellent

Juste un point négatif concernant le spa: le bassin de la piscine un peu trop petit et l eau trop fraîche. L accès au spa par les enfants, prend fin à 18h00 ( stipulé dans le règlement), or des familles ont parfois investi le spa au delà de 18h00 et aucun personnel n était présent à l accueil pour leur faire respecter le règlement.

Séjour en famille de 3 nuits. Chambre en mezzanine, un peu moins belle qu’attendu (papier peint rayé pas aussi classe que le reste de l’hôtel) et sans coin salon, mais fonctionnelle, avec une entrée desservant chambre enfants, salle d’eau et toilettes (qui peuvent être fermées pour isoler par rapport à la chambre adulte en mezzanine). Très bel hôtel par ailleurs, avec personnel très professionnel, piscine et coin jeu (billard, baby foot, console de jeu). On recommande le menu midi (20€ entrée/plat/dessert il me semble) et apéro/tapas sur la terrasse face a la cité royale

Très bon accueil du veilleur de nuit car arrivée tardive.
hotel majestueux et très belle déco. Petit déjeuner copieux, avec du choix.
Par contre le personnel n'était pas à la hauteur du lieu.
Les serveurs se prenaient les remarques désobligeantes de leur hiérarchie devant les clients et quand avons quitté l'hotel la réceptionniste nous a signalé que nous devions un supplément de 25€ pour notre petit chien (Jack Russel_8kg) alors que son collègue la veille nous avez demandé de réglé notre séjour complet pour que le check out se fasse rapidement. Je m'étais assuré à la réservation que l'établissement accepté les animaux et je n'ai pas vu de prix donc quelle a été ma surprise de payer une telle somme. La réceptionniste nous a dis \"mon collègue n'a pas bien fait son travail\" en omettant de compter notre chien. Ces incidents ont gachés notre plaisir d'être dans un lieu si magnifique. Dommage car cela ne nous a donné aucune envie de revenir. Pour info, je fréquente dans le cadre professionnel la chaine Best western en France et à l'étranger.

L’installation de cet hôtel dans un magnifique ancien palais de justice est une vraie réussite. La chambre était très confortable et très propre, tout comme la salle d’eau. Le parking gratuit qui se trouve juste devant l’établissement est également très pratique. Une dernière chose : le petit-déjeuner est remarquable. Et, s’il fait beau, le prendre en terrasse est un vrai plaisir.

Bel hotel au niveau décoration et équipements.
Notre chambre n'était malheureusement pas prête a notre arrivée en fin d'après-midi.
Les lits etaient confortables et nous avions tout ce qu'il faut dans la chambre.
Le spa est bien, on a bien aimé le hammam. il manquait cependant de serviettes sur place et l'eau de la douche était glacée.
Les drinks au bar étaient très bons.

Bâtiment magnifique
Bel hôtel avec de belles prestations
Nous avons passé 3 jours parfaits et c’est un lieu idéal pour aller découvrir tous les châteaux environnants. Ne pas oublié le domaine de Chaumont et le festival de la rose à Chedigny !!
Seul bémol, la personne à l’accueil ce week-end.. à peine bonjour et qui ne lève pas la tête de son écran d’ordinateur. Heureusement un jeune stagiaire était là et tres prévenant et lundi à l’accueil il y avait une personne chaleureuse et accueillante.
