Their parking is not only limited. Very limited. I asked the staff to reserved a parking for us and they were adamant. But earlier we had seen a parking was reserved for someone and guests were meticulously reserving it. But the staff told us, they will reserved one spot for us but they cannot guarantee it will be still reserved when we got there. We were booked in that hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. And also they have a pool but on another site which we still need to drive just to have a swim, very inconvenient. Not going back there.

The property was very clean and well kept. The location is very convenient. You can easily walk or take a tricycle to the SM Mall. It felt a little weird walking through a furniture store to get to the rooms but after the first day, it did not matter.

The front desk staff was average, not rude but also not very friendly. The restaurant staff at Paul's provided excellent service! The Restaurant and Estelle's cafe were very convenient and had good options for dining.

Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a affordable, clean, convenient and cozy stay while in Lipa City.

Id stay again, but…

I took a photo of my review form that I filled out and left when we checked out after our 4days, 3nights stay.
But let’s see if this section has enough characters for my review:
1. The way to the main hotel area showcases the furniture store so it’s inviting
2. The room was decent sized. But the bathroom door was so awkward. I suggest turning it into a sliding door
3. The housekeeping staff is very helpful. I had room service the entire stay and most of the staff who delivered our meals were great except for the 2 who didn’t greet nor smile and the other who didn’t take the dishes I was trying to return.
4. Walls were thin. So expect noise. I could hear the vacuum as early as 6am.
The water pressure from the bidet and the faucet was inconsistent. It would be either ok or blowing up splashes. It’s almost frustrating coz I just wanted to wash my hands and I end up with wet clothes.
5. I love the water dispenser idea on the floor. Thats helpful and practical.
6. One lamp in the room we had wasn't working. No biggie.
7. Please have the TV set-up in such a way that there are cable channels or more things available to watch. When we stayed, only YouTube was available.

We didn’t enjoy our stay at Solano Hotel for several reasons. 1) We were allocated a room next to one that’s under construction so there was loud banging all day and we couldn’t take a much needed nap after a tiring few days. 2) The towels we were given have seen better days. Edges are frayed (we can provide photos of the towels). 3) There was black mold behind the shower door. 4) We ordered panini from room service and it was inedible, the filling was way too salty and the bread wasn’t even a panini bread but more like a flattened hotdog roll.
Overall we don’t recommend staying at Solano Hotel and we won’t be booking with them again.

This place was the best for the area, but not at all as walkable as we thought it would be. The staff were welcoming and helpful as they could be. The room had a distinct stench maybe from the AC. In the end, we did not want to stay very much longer in the area and decided to end our trip early.

Very Nice Hôtel in Lipa City

I did not expect much when I drove up to it. The neighborhood was not great but once inside, this hotel is a winner. Clean, comfortable rooms, very nice rooftop restaurant & bar and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was good for what I needed it for. Their breakfast plates were yummy (we didn't do the buffet option though). My only dislike about the room was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The sink and shower handles, as well as the shower heads, were grimy.

The rooms were immaculately clean and surprisingly quiet despite its location.
They mentioned a pool in their add, however it was in another sister hotel….perhaps they should mention that upon reservation….
Otherwise I will highly recommend this hotel.

As a frequent traveler, I felt compelled to give an honest review of this hotel.
Pros:
- The staff was very knowledgeable with pleasing personalities to include guest services, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. They were very attentive and resolved a minor issue I had without incident.
- The rooms are very clean to include the linen and furniture. In addition, the air conditioning system works extremely well. The furniture was up to date and had a luxurious feel.
-The hotel was not noisy and plenty of places to eat nearby and stores to accommodate you in the event you forgot something at home
Cons:
- The outside and areas after the lobby entrance leading to the elevator hotel is not pleasing on the eyes. It this is because the hotel has shared space with vendors such as furniture and appliance stores
-Only one elevator works and the smell is very horrible. It has a very musty odor, that is unacceptable.
-The water pressure in the shower was less than satisfactory, the shower heads appear to be dated.
- There is no cable in this hotel, so hopefully you have a streaming service to keep you entertained.
- The hotel charges for stained towels and although it’s stated in the rules of the hotel that there would be a charge, the price to replace the towels were well overpriced even with the discount offered at the hotel.
- I needed to speak with the manager and instead I was directed that they were attending a seminar. A more appropriate response would have been that the hotel wou

Issues:

Parking is very tight.
I suggest you need to find an empty lot for your guests and use a shuttle to bring your guest to the hotel.

2. We ate at the restaurant but if it was not raining we would prefer to eat somewhere else.
I don’t know if the lady who sat us down was a server or hostess.
She seem to be not happy with her job. She’s not fit to be in the hospitality business because she not smile nor greet us. Like a deaf person. Very unwelcoming. Not the right staff for Solano’s restaurant.
She needs more training in customer service.

3. Food was not up to par for a classy expensive hotel.
It was serve cold and we did not complain because we were so hungry so we kept quiet. No server did any follow up if we were ok. The restaurant was empty and quiet but no one approached us.

4. If this is barely a new hotel why is the paint in the restaurant and our room was chipping!!!
Perhaps your engineering and housekeeping needs to coordinate and walk through the WHOLE hotel to keep up with the pricey image of Solano!

4. The shower heads and the shower itself was dirty with watermarks.
The hot shower was broken!!!
I’m not happy about this matter.
We were sent to another room to take a shower. Very inconvenient!!!

In a nut shell I had a LOT of huge expectations from Solano being a very pricey hotel in Lipa City. I was so excited to stay there and was supposed to stay for 3 nights. However we decided to check out because we were not satisfied.
