The staff were warm, courteous, and welcoming throughout our stay, and the resort grounds were beautifully maintained. The variety of included activities was excellent, and the dog-sitting service was particularly impressive and much appreciated.

Cons:
Unfortunately, the overall level of service did not meet expectations for a five-star property. Despite several requests and follow-ups, we were unable to have towels delivered to our room. The breakfast buffet was below standard, offering a very limited selection, and we were disappointed to find flies embedded in the oat milk. Service at the alternative breakfast venue was notably slow and inattentive. Additionally, some of the food offerings, including those at the fine dining restaurant Soufflé de Vie, were not of acceptable quality.

The spa service was pleasant and professionally delivered; however, it did not reflect the price point. Moreover, the final amount charged for our ₱19,000 couples treatment included unexpected additional fees that were not disclosed at the time of booking. This discrepancy was only discovered after checkout, and upon contacting the hotel, we were informed these were supplementary charges.

Overall, while certain aspects of the stay were enjoyable, the experience as a whole did not align with the standards expected of a five-star resort.

The staff especially Alex from Pesce Restaurant. He is very accommodating and very friendly.
Special shout out also for the two staffers who did our massage.
When it comes to amenities in the room, no hairdryer and they don’t provide body lotion so make sure to bring yours.
Overall, The Farm is very beautiful though the rain canceled all the outdoor activities we enjoyed the quietness and the seclusion of the place. We enjoyed the rain and nature. We hope to come back soon.

The Farm at San Benito is beautiful and the workers on the ground were phenomenal but these three areas were simply unacceptable: 1) THE FLIES! I did see a couple reviews before I booked mentioning flies but I thought it’s something we can simply shoo away. Sadly I was wrong. Those were HUGE flies and they came in droves in the first luxury suite assigned to us and in the breakfast buffet. We couldn’t help wonder how bad the hygiene must be in the kitchen behind the scenes. And not just flies, there were also spiders and moths INSIDE the suites; 2) CHECK-IN was disingenuous (assigned us initially to a Deluxe even if we booked an Executive, and claimed they will “upgrade” us to what we paid for in the first place; not sure if check-in staff were inept or this was systemic); and 3) UNSAFE ROAD ACCESS to the farm, we had to drive through sketchy neighborhoods and towns that blocked part of the already tight streets. IN SUM, I can’t recommend this property to friends and loved ones until these 3 areas are addressed.

Overall the stay was a very pleasant experience, the staff were warm and professional, a big factor on making this resort very endearing . This boils down to expectations . The room was wonderful but seems lacking in some basic items like slippers or lotion , staff were doing the daily upkept of the pools but failed to notice the loose floorboard or a used diaper lodged on the faux stone wall. Breakfast buffet was just okay and this boils down to again the expectation and no complementary hot chocolate???. The resort is special, the farm , ambience and the setting as well as the staff.

This place is over rated we had wedding done for my son. All vendors were excellent (not working from this place) It was raining no cart available for the guests transfer to the lobby no umbrellas. I understand that they are promoting healthy eating but at least provide salt and pepper on the table. I waited for 45 minuses for the salt. The food was terrible no taste. The wedding cake is never served. We stayed in the Sulu room and there was leak of rain in our bathroom. I would not recommend this place for wedding.

This the place to relax and enjoyed great foods especially at \"UPPERDECK. They good selection in their menus. The pasta was an absolute choice for me ,penne pasta with salmon .Their smoothie was outstanding, i choosexthe watemelon
The place was spotlessly clean and their employees especially Charlotte and Jenny were very pleasant and accomodating . Both of them made my stay and my friend a wonderful one

The serenity and natural beauty of the place are outstanding. All the staff are great! I forgot my laptop in our room after we checked out. I don’t have a local phone number in the Phil. They have only my Toronto cel. number which I use every time I go to the Philippines.

On our way home after about 1/2 hour we left the resort, I got a WhatsApp call from the resort reception informing me that I left my laptop in our room.

Kudos to all the staff @ The Farm at San Benito.

Breakfast is Terrible with lots of FLIES…!

It was a good start by welcoming us with drinks, well I have no problem with our room Narra Villa at Room 38 and Anahaw Villa Room at Room 25… from service to places to roam around it’s with distinct good qualities but for our breakfast experience It’s AWFUL an open area with lots of BIG FLIES, it’s so disappointing and disgusting because all our food the flies are swarming especially on our watermelon drinks & the way they presented the breakfast buffet is on a low key class covered with plastics, the way I paid for these two elegant deserve a meaningful and memorable breakfast… Why not use a secluded close door restaurant or area like ALIVE (restaurant) where you can enjoy a beautiful breakfast not only the breakfast place I’m complaining about but also the food I hate to say only the brewed coffee is good but the way all The FLIES flying around perhaps they’re (flies) had good day breakfast…!

The grounds are really still very beautiful and the treatments are consistently good! The staff need to put more attention on the public areas such as toilets in the restaurant and swimming pool areas.
Otherwise, it is a lovely place to unwind.

Reconsider if you want to be served good food.

The resort is beautiful with excellent service from the staff. The cost of stay is expensive and would have been justified if not for the food. My wife is a great cook and i was vegan for 5 years. The resort is surrounded by fruit trees and vegetable garden and we could not understand why the vegan breakfast and lunch is so tasteless and so limited in choices. There are so many Filipino dishes that can be vegan and can be resourced from the resorts vegetation and yet it fails to provide the guests with a 4-5 star cuisine. We would rate the food from 1-5 to 1 and if they continue with the same practice, i would suggest to go somewhere else with a 5 star rating of the same price range.

The rooms weren't too elderly and child friendly. For one, the stairs are awkwardly design whereby each of the steps is only half of the length and it alternates. Second, there is a risk of falling through the ledge.

We were here one year ago. As compared to our previous stay, we find that the staff are a lot more particular about hotel policies instead of simple but warm hospitality.

Relaxing weekend in a serene farm

The whole place was calm and relaxing; the gardens were beautifull & serene; the room was spacious and clean; the free classes were great - tai chi, aqua fitness and mandala flower arrangements. Did not avail of the spa & treatments because they were too expensive for us. We were prepared for a weekend of vegan diet: some were great (the pad thai, coco jam on bread, vietnamese salad roll, curry); but, some were blah (buckwheat crust pizza, breakfast pancake).

I was looking for a place to relax and unwind and this was the perfect place! Super quiet and private, we loved our villa. 😊 Only things we hoped for were hot water in the pool, too cold for a dip in December. We ordered room service for dinner and we were only provided 1 set of utensils. The water jar in our room was also dripping. However, overall the stay was great and what we were hoping for. We will still definitely come back!

I decided to stay at the Farm after my business trip to Manila. It was in another planet. I enjoyed activities offered by the hotel such as \"morning Yoga\" and \"massage under the star\". The only problem was a transportation. It took me a whole morning to arrange it. I was lucky enough to find a tax driver who took me all the way to the hotel. I recommend to arrange a transportation in advance, since the hotel was in the middle of nowhere.

Resort description is misleading

The place is nice and quiet except for all the peacocks and a few roosters. We went on a last minute trip to get away for some quiet time. We literally booked and left the house within 10 minutes. The description of the resort is misleading.

The pictures in the site we booked thru are not the room we were given. I thought maybe I didn’t look hard enough at the room when I booked online. Then I went back and checked 2 days ago and there is not one picture of the interior of the room and only one picture of the exterior which doesn’t show the size of the room. It’s a small room with a 3.5 foot door and the shower and toilet are outside the room. Makes it hard to get up in the middle of the night in the dark and find your way around when you are half asleep.

The grounds are upkept and there are a lot of things to see and do on the healthy end of lifestyles. However nowhere online does it say that the full service gourmet resaurant is vegan only. It seems like a crucial element to state in your description. We were both extreme disappointed in the taste of the food. If we were vegan I’m sure we may have enjoyed it, or at least if we were warned it was vegan only before we booked. To me vegan food tasted like dirt and all I taste besides that super earthy taste is onions pineapple or mango. Seems that is the flavor they try to give the food to mask the dirt taste. I ordered pasta to try to get a decent dinner. That failed as well.

We felt duped by the description!!!

Unique place. Highly recommended.

Extremely beautiful place. The vegan food is very tasty.
The overall relaxing moment was a bit overshadowed by noise outside the property (neighbors chose a Saturday to train their chainsaw) and some guests who didn’t get the whole point about calm and serenity. Inevitable I suppose.
But we had a wonderful time. The park is beautifully designed. Just sitting there in silence is worth all therapies!

This resort is incredible. I read many of the reviews before I vacationed here and all I can say is WOW! this place is the most incredible resort I've ever visited. The staff is extremely helpful; calling our driver for us; opening doors; always smiling; always happy to help. Roman who works at the Reception Center was so warm, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The food was amazing; the accommodations lacked nothing - it was honestly hard to go home after this visit and I can't wait to return. There are peacocks, baby peacocks, ducks and geese walking around adding character and charm to this resort. There are some negative reports out there about construction noise and scratchy sheets, etc. So for the record the sheets were super comfortable and there was very little noise while we were there but even if there was some construction noise, they apologized ahead of time for the construction and everything else is so wonderful it wouldn't have bothered me in the least. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!

4th visit is definitely my last, never again!

This was my 4th visit to the farm and definitely my last. Service, food and cleanliness have gone way down yet somehow prices have gone up. Few quick examples:
1) I book the pool villa ($500USDish) yet for the first day and a half the pool`s heater and lights were broken. 3 visits by mechanics couldn't fix it, after many requests for a move they accommodated yet still charged me full amount for a pool villa with a broken pool. Not even an apology
2) Massages are still very good but the prices seem to have gone up but the massueses start the time when the booking is made, not when the begin the massage. I was sure to be early yet they were always late and basically charged for full 60 or 90 min when only actually massaging for 45-75min each session
3) Food has gone way down compared to years past
4) Even it is my 4th visit, absolutely no recognition or VIP treatment. My friends and I have easily spent $100,000 here over the years yet they can not even arrange for a car pick up and booking online was cheaper than through the hotel.
5) Towels and water bottles are no longer provided at the gym or yoga studio.
6) only 1 trainer now so all sunday and monday are without gym classes
7) constant power and wifi outages

Sad to see such a great property go down the tubes, new management is in town..

The overall location is amazingly beautiful and realxing!
I got the Sulu Terrasse 10 and out of the 5 rooms of this category, it's clearly the worst. 4 out 5 have bathroom at the ground floor and it's extremely dangerous (stairs) and painful (at night).
The best is the Clinics/Spa and its therapists. I do not recommend you to go for pedicure/manicure it's not their cup of tea, others treatments are perfect.
The general cleaning of the facilities and rooms is so so and could be improve.
The food is good but not so tasty as most of people are saying.
Anyway I would recommend 3 days max! Then you get bored...

A different experience

It was a different experience. The silence was therapeutic. For the first time, my kids and I ate vegan food for 3 days and we made it. I lost weight just with the change of diet. The purification treatment was superb. It was expensive but I'm planning to come back hopefully once a year to rest my mind and body.
