Beds were comfy, A/C worked great, spacious enough, one of our rooms had a patio which was nice. Three pool was pretty small, but we prefer the beach anyway. It was a very short walk to get to the town with restaurants, shoes, bike rentals, etc. It was disappointing that they didn't have any rooms for a family of 4 so we had to split into 2 rooms. An unknown benefit was that we were able to get our laundry done (~$20 for a full hamper, and it came back there next morning folded nicely). Overall I would recommend unless the ones right on the beach were close in price.

Great place to stay. Had the only real hotel feel of the places we stayed in the Galapagos. Great staff, great coffee, clean rooms, breakfast, and all the information you may need. Took their ferry to Santa Cruz and it was great as well!

The staff was excellent.. the rooms were clean . Seems that the management is disconnected from the hotel, and throw every problem to the staff. The hot water issue and the breakfast which wasn t great.. it should be the management / owners responsible to actually fix the proble and not just collect the money.
But lovely staff and very helpful

The hotel overlooks the Lagune snd there were always birds to watch there, including flamingos. Staff was fantastic. Rooms were quite, big and very clean. Loved this place.

Room had a balcony with a view to the lagoon where we could see flamingos! Blackout curtains, TV, air conditioning, hot water and great water pressure. Drinking water right outside our door. Very conveniently located to go anywhere in town. Highly recommend.

Hotel and staff were great. Was right across from flamingo lagoon which was really neat. Very clean and beautiful room. Very short walk to beach, restaurants and stores. Helped with doing laundry and gave boxes breakfast for early checkout.

Well worth the stay

I was really impressed with the service provided and the friendliness of the staff, they really helped to make my trip to Isla Isabela as memorable as could be.

The staff were simply terrific and made sure I understood how tours and ferry/taxi services worked, and when there was a small mix up with a tour the desk clerk was able to have it corrected and send me on my way so the little delay.

The hotel is very clean and extremely accommodating and is a great option for what I was looking for, they had 110 volt electricity and great air conditioning in the rooms.

The morning breakfast overlooking the lagoon is a great way to start the day and meet other travelers, and when I left for a morning ferry before the kitchen opened the thoughtful staff left a care package of drinks and snacks for me at the desk which was very unexpected and really made me smile when I saw that.

I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone, I was only sorry that I didn’t extend my stay here as they were fantastic to me.

Location is right by the flamingo lagoon where you will see lots of flamingos but not super close to the ferry and main area. The hotel was great for booking activities during our stay.

I would definately recommend this hotel

We had a lovely 2 nights at the hotel. We are sailing the world arc so it was a treat to have a large shower and a bed that didnt rock. The staff were so kind and allowed us extra time to check out. I would definately recommend this hotel in Isabela, Galapagos

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in the lagoon view king room. From the moment we arrived at the airport the staff were all amazing and helpful.
The hotel breakfast is really nice and the chef was very good and attentive. The breakfast is similar everyday, but there was always a little something different like pancakes etc.
there is a nice pool area which has shade in the afternoon which was nice. The beach is a minute away with kms of white sand and nobody around! We swam with baby sharks and rays. There are restaurants on the beach as well as on the walk to the beach.
The rooms do not have fridges, but there is a communal one upstairs where we kept our things and it seemed totally fine. The room had beautiful windows to see the amazing views, however that meant it was a bit loud in the evening and mornings with dogs and some cars, but we had earplugs and it was totally fine.

Great place to stay

Hotel La Laguna on Isabela Island was a fantastic choice for our stay! The location is perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to all the island's highlights. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing the ideal place to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to assist with recommendations and ensuring our stay was memorable. The apartment is very clean and nice. However, we were promised to get a pick up at the boat dock which never happened and the code did not work for the door, so it was very frustrating with lack of communication.
Once and, the place looks very nice. We just got here.

This hotel was situated in the perfect area where you could walk to either the beach or the local side of town. It's also directly across from a lagoon that hosts a family of pink flamingos!

The rooms were very spacious, and housekeeping kept the place spotless, even with everyone traipsing back and forth to the beach.

We were also impressed with the service here, from breakfast to taxi booking. At one point, we wanted to make drinks in our room. The receptionist ran all the way upstairs to the kitchen to cut our limes and even washed fresh glasses. Talk about above and beyond!

This hotel is in a great location. The town is very small so you can get anywhere quickly by walking or cheap taxi (truck). The flamingos are wonderful to see anytime if the day or evening. There are around ten in the lagoon. The staff are nice, friendly, and helpful.
Isabela was a favourite part of our trip. The sunset is stunning and wildlife is everywhere.

The staff at Hotel LaLaguna is absolutely wonderful! The rooms are very comfortable (air conditioned, too) & they offer a hot breakfast each morning. Everyone was friendly / welcoming- they also helped me book some tours! I definitely recommend this hotel!!

Amazing Hotel

This hotel was perfect for our time spent in Isabela. The flamingos came out to greet us when we got there (there’s a lagoon across the street), the staff was so helpful and friendly, and the bed was super comfortable, our balcony had an ocean view and a view of the lagoon. The location is perfect. The showers actually got hot and had pressure.

Great stay!

First I was very surprised to be greeted at the dock by staff members to take me to the hotel. The place was very comfortable very clean and everyone at the front desk was simply amazing. They organized all our activities, they helped store our luggage a couple of hours before our ferry left after check out. Free water was always available with great wifi considering the island. The location was great only a km walk from the docs and two blocks away from the main plaza. Waking up to flamingos every morning was great. The bath to the wall of tears is also right next to the hotel and the breakfast was standard but good. Overall great stay

We had a lovely time at this hotel! I wasn't sure about the lagoon location, but Puerto Villamil is so tiny, this location is really close to everything - even if it may not appear so on a map.

We were impressed that the hotel was there to pick us up when we landed on our tiny flight. They did not even charge us for a ride to the hotel. I know they also offer pickup from the ferry.

The room was big and comfy. I think it would be great if they had a fridge in the room, but I know this is a small, very developing place, so electricity is at a premium, and once we were there, we didn't really need the fridge.

The bed is very comfortable, and the blackout shades are great.

The free morning breakfast is ok - really big breakfast, not a lot of variety, but we appreciated that they did it at all.

One thing to note - make sure your AC is WORKING! We thought ours was, but we were roasting. It was on, the temperature was allowed to be set, but nothing happened! It took us 2 days to figure out we had hit the wrong button on the remote over and over. If you don't feel the AC - ask the front desk!

Also appreciated that the hotel offers beverages for sale in the breakfast room - after a tour if you are hot and thirsty, you can ask at the front desk and they'll run up to the 3rd floor and grab you cold beer or wine for a fair price.

We didn't use the rooftop but it looks like a nice \"future\" area. The pool was pretty small, but everyone goes to the beach!

It is situated right across from a lagoon with flamingos. The rooms are spacious with good air conditioning and hot-and- cold water shower. It is functional rather than luxurious. But I enjoyed staying there. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach.

For the low low price we paid (wink wink) this was out best stay in the Galapagos. The front desk staff helped us to book excursions and tours, and the hotel was seconds from the beautiful beach. They were waiting with a car when we got off the ferry, which was nice. There are a variety of room types, so know what you're paying for.

When we got there we thought it wasn’t the correct hotel. Pictures were very different. When we asked about dinner they said oh just go down to the beach. It was dark in a strange location. No recommendations. When I went to the front desk to ask a question, attendant was on the phone. Never pausing to say una momento. Nothing. I sat for a bit then left. No feeling of welcome or hospitality. The bathroom shower did not drain correctly and water flowed out into the rest of the bathroom.

Clean and comfortable room with a big balcony and a very nice view of the pond with pink flamingos and other birds. Comfortable bed. Change towels every day. Thorough and good cleaning of the rooms and the hotel. Provide potable water. Good shower. Very quiet AC. Pleasant, though a bit forgetful staff.

No handrails in the swimming pool, nor for the steps and a steep 45 degrees entrance to the building. No chair and table on the balcony. The room (#4), under the breakfast room and above the swimming pool was noisy when either one was in use. Was woken at 6.30 am, by the moving chairs and other noises from above.
Insistent and persistent marketing bombardment with the travel/excursion options. The hotel belongs to the Travel Agency which does not care about the hotel customer service one bit. They just want their hotel guests to pay a lot for the hotel, and then more and more, while cutting expenses on all they can. Their hotel clerks are also drivers of their travel agency and are not at the front desk often and never after 6-8.30 pm. What they call \"restaurant\" is a room open only for breakfast, it does not have a proper restaurant kitchen. Their poor breakfast is also a result of economising at the hotel guests expense.
Very poor and low quality breakfast. even in the cheap hostels in Ecuador they serve a much, much better breakfast. Leave alone more expensive hotels. But for a $95/night, well this is a totally unacceptable rip of and greed, no GREED.
