Can’t say enough good things. Staff was super accommodating- Michelle at the front desk is amazing. She helped us organize taxis around town and even asked us upon check in if we needed breakfast early any days because of early morning tours. Breakfast is made fresh for every guest, rooms are clean with great AC. Couldn’t ask for much more on Isabela.

Stayed one night. Great location, right on beach and walking distance to many restaurants. Taxi from ferry dock approximately 5 min. Sofia was friendly and very helpful. Low water pressure and insufficient hot water for showers.

What an incredible experience this was! Waking up to the sea view! It's close to bars, small shops, great restaurants. The staff was amazing and so kind! Unforgettable stay! The room was clean and tidy. Some reviews here maybe forgot this is an island ;) so yes, you might have geckos in the room and if it rains heavily, water might come in. The staff will find a solution to make you feel comfortable! It's truly been an amazing stay. Highly recommend it!

We loved this hotel from the moment we arrived. It is at a great location. The staff is very warm, friendly and most helpful with recommendations. Sofia checked us in early, Melina arranged for a very early taxi to the airport. The rooms were clean and cool. Breakfast was delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our time there and we highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely place right on the beach. Great location, walking distance form lots of restaurants and shops. Not that far from pier, like 20 min walk.
Staff super nice and helpful. Proactively reached out to us to make sure we had breakfast either in their terrace or giving us a to-go bag.
I’d definitely will stay here again.

Around the clock noise, our room was on the 2nd floor directly below the food prep and serving area so starting st 6am it was constant noise. People and dog noise until 1-2am. Staff friendly. This is more of a hostel with a bathroom (beware no window/glass just a mesh), running water was a hit or miss. Bugs and ants everywhere. We stayed here 3 nights.

While Hotel offers prime beachfront views, benefits stops there. Rooms on ground floor would have face risks of noise from guests on upper floors, along with uninitiated visits from insects. A crockroach crawled into the room during the night of my stay rendering some anxiousness as there is no hotel staff at night. The lack of proper ventilation in the room especially bathroom/toilet area meant constant humidity and towels once used do not dry easily even if left overnight. Overall amenities provided in rooms are basic (even though shower gel, shampoo, handwash and conditioner are provided) so best to bring your own. No room slippers nor facial tissues. Hot water is available only on 3rd floor which is cumbersome during the night. Breakfast alittle too basic though box breakfast available on request if one has early start.

Amazing! The staff is very friendly and warm, the gave us an upgrade and leave some chocolates for my mom on her birthday. Breakfast was good, the day we left since it was very early in the morning they gave a box lunch. Truly super kind. Beds were comfy, the view amazing. Great location

This property is located right on the beach. Breathtaking views of pelicans fishing, waves crashing and the sounds of the ocean. This is your destination stay on Isabela. Super staff, an excellent morning breakfast and very helpful with tour pickup coordination. Within walking distance of Flamingos and a large iguana crossing. The town square is just down the street. Book it now!

The property is beautiful - right on the beach, surrounded by fun restaurants, amazing views from the breakfast deck. The women working there were so wonderful, especially Tatiana and the woman making breakfast. Otherwise, I did not feel like it was worth the price. The rooms were smaller than they looked in the photos, and the windows weren't sealed so lots of bugs got in. The bathroom only has a screen, no window, and there was a ton of noise in the area late into the tonight which I didn't expect.

I loved my room at this property, I had the best view ever! The staff went above and beyond my wildest dreams in assisting me whenever I asked.

The breakfasts were amazing as they provided local cuisine -- green plantain dishes that I loved. They even explained how the dishes were prepared. It was incredible.

Great view. Clean rooms, nice & helpful staff. The area in front of the hotel needs updating.. add some nicer lawn furniture, lounge chairs, umbrellas. Would have been nice to have lounge chairs and umbrellas actually on the beach. Breakfast needs improving, fruit wasn't ripe and eggs were cold. For the price I would definitely stay here again. They could do some small changes to make it really nice.

The staff and location were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed to make our stay on the island enjoyable, even offering to box breakfast for us for early morning excursions. They also let us stow our gear there on checkout day as we were taking the late ferry. Over all one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

The hotel's location is excellent; it is located less than 20 meters away from the beautiful beach, and our room had a clear view of the ocean. There was a thoughtfully placed faucet for rinsing feet after walking on the beach. The front desk agent graciously checked us in early and arranged for us to eat breakfast slightly earlier than the normally scheduled hours so that we could participate in an early morning tour. The on-demand breakfast omelettes were a nice touch. The retractable clothes line in the shower was useful for drying swimsuits and other wet clothing.

On the other hand, the bathroom had a window with a mesh screen but without a solid glass covering, thus making the air conditioning less effective in the bathroom. More importantly, the prices that the front desk agent quoted us for a standard tour and for two taxi trips were much higher than the prices available at a tour agency or on the streets. The agent wanted to charge us $45 for a Sierra Negra volcano tour that we ultimately booked at a nearby travel agency for $35. The agent called a taxi driver who asked $5 for a taxi ride from the hotel to the harbor, while another taxi driver on the street only charged $2. (Our ride from the harbor to the hotel also cost only $2. In addition, when a hotel on another island called us a taxi, the taxi driver quoted us the standard going rate.) Both times that the agent called us a taxi, the same person and the same car came.

On the beach!

Casita de la Playa is a great place to stay. Literally right on the beach and a sea turtle laid eggs directly in front of the hotel! It's not a luxury hotel, but I wasn't looking for that as a the trip to the Galapagos shouldn't be about the hotel. It was clean, comfortable, had good air conditioning and friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't anything fancy, but was good and provided protein to prepare us for the day's adventures. The hotel is also right by the majority of the islands restaurants - I highly recommend Coco Surf which is across from the hotel on the street side.
Overall a great stay. Would definitely return to Casita de la Playa!

Must get an ocean view room. The view out the window looks fake because the hotel is right on the beach. Beautiful clear blue green ocean and palm trees are all you see. Friendly staff let me check in early without any hassle and let me store stuff there after I checked out. Great value for the money!

RIGHT next to a beautiful beach. It's like being beside one of the best beaches on the planet, but because it's a national park, it's not overcrowded and busy. Absolutely loved our stay listening to the ocean every night.

Better than expected ... great spot on the beach

I think this shows up as a 2 star. It's far better than a 2 star. Wifi is likely the issue. It's bad all over the island and most of Ecuador.

The spot is great on the beach. It's near a long street of restaurants. This is the sister hotel to Hotel Volcano down the street. Both are quite modern. This one was first and a little bit older. They are a pat of the Opuntia hotels which I think will likely continue to expand on the island.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Most, if not all, spoke English. Rooms were clean, with quiet A/C. Bathrooms are a bit cramped, but this seems to be par for this area of the world. Our room had no view of the ocean, which was disappointing considering the price, location, and name of the place.

It was a great stay at Isla Isabela, the hotel is clearly one of the best in the area; the fact that you are literally in front of the beach is fantastic, the view is amazing. The hotel staff is A+, always kind and attentive; the breakfast is made to order and they can have breakfast to go if you need to leave early.
There is no TV and no pool, for my personal preference this did not impact my stay at all, but for some of the people that joined me this was an improvement opportunity. The hotel is walking distance from plenty of restaurants; overall it is a great place, I recommend it 100%.

Don't count on breakfast, but otherwise ok.

The location, amenities, room, bathroom were great. The part that brought our overall satisfaction down was the breakfast. On the day we went to the volcano, they said they would start breakfast early at 6:45, there were at least 8 of us waiting until 7:05, when we scarfed down whatever we could for our 7:10 pickup. The following day we didn't need to go until 9:30... so we went up at 8am. Everything was depleted. Out of fruit, out of eggs, we had to ask for each item, and the staff was more focused on washing dishes than replacing/replenishing the food that had been used. :( If you aren't counting on breakfast, this is a reasonable place to stay. If you rely/enjoy breakfast before activities, and enjoy/value efficiency, this probably isn't the place for you.
