We loved the staff! I got injured because I rolled my ankle down the street from the hotel and fell on my leg. It was pretty cut up from the gravel. The staff were very attentive and brought me everything I needed. I was very appreciative of the help. The location was close to the beach. You have your own entrance from the hotel to a beautiful beach. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay. The room was very clean and spacious! The fridge in our room was great! The water pressure was perfect! Loved our stay! We would come back.

We had a lovely night stay here. You’re on an island so some ants and bugs can be expected. This isn’t The Four Seasons so if you were looking for that you would be disappointed. What you will find staff willing to go above and beyond like Jonathan, who made our stay lovely. Love that you could just walk to the beach right behind the property. The peace and tranquillity you will find here is unmatched. I think this is the best place to stay on the island. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed two nights at Casa de Marita. Location is amazing right on beach, breakfast was great. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner one night, and it was great too. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Misleading pictures of rooms on Expedia were not representative of all rooms. Our initial booking was for a Garden Room which was dated and not to the same standard as the seaview rooms pictured, but a seaview room had not been available to book. However, when we discovered tiny ants swarming the bedding, staff moved us for 2 nights into a seaview room. As the hotel was full we returned to the Garden Room for 3 nights and again had a problem with another swarm of tiny ants and a cockroach. Staff cleaned the room and were able to move us to a seaview room for the remaining 2 nights of our stay. Eve on reception spoke English and was helpful and breakfast staff were friendly and warm. The location was good - close to the town and beach, but also close to a noisy road which disturbed us every morning in the garden room as it was busy daily with the early 5am transfer taxis. The seaview rooms were further away from the road and peaceful with the sound of the ocean, had stunning views and were more modern and tastefully decorated. No rooms had a safe, despite this being a listed feature on the website. There was a safe at reception. We had to pay with a debit card as payment could not be processed on check in using perfectly valid credit cards which had worked in Santa Cruz and Ecuador before and after the trip. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed an excellent meal in a scenic beach setting although it was more expensive than many local restaurants in town.

Excelente! Me encantó el servicio del personal en especial de Johanna. Cuando llegue me recibió con un jugo de mora súper amable. Me ayudó a comprar mi ticket en avioneta hacia el aeropuerto de Baltra y rápidamente me entregó la habitación. El hotel es muy bonito y la habitación es súper grande al igual que su baño. Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

La Casa de Marita was the ideal property to decompress on Isabela after the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz. It's close to town and restaurants, but sufficiently removed to offer a quiet respite. And, it's close to both Concha Perla for great snorkeling and the ferry lines for day trips or when it's time to depart.

Family owned and run. The property has fallen behind on many current trends like a safe in the room and mirror in the bedroom. The tiles in the bedroom and bath and shower are so slick when wet they are a huge fall risk. Cockroaches line the walks in the morning are fortunately dead or they could be saddled and ridden to the beach. However, the setting is outstanding, the views wonderful, the meals great except for the breakfast which is mundane and much the same day after day. The owner and staff are pleasant but do not show much enthusiasm toward the guests.

The first thing you notice about this place is the location - you can walk right through the lobby and back out onto a perfect sand beach. There's also plenty of seating on the ground-level patio. The center of town is a short walk away, and the area felt very safe - convenient but still quiet. The employees at Casa Marita were also friendly and very helpful with everything from switching rooms (I decided I wanted to upgrade to an ocean view once I got there), ordering drinks, and calling taxis and tour companies. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location and amazing beach view, could walk directly from the hotel porch to the ocean. Unfortunately our room was disgusting and very dirty. In the bathroom there was a lot of old lizards poo on all the edges and surfaces. When we complained we got a new room which was a downgrade from our first room. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine as compensation.

Beautiful beachfront villa. Private deck was amazing for relaxing! Walking distance to all restaurants and the pier. Very helpful attendants, especially with tour accommodations. Very hospitable host. Great breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean.

We stayed in the room called “Orange” and it was amazing! It felt like we were in a treehouse! The hotel is small, quaint, and well-kept. There is a lot of attention to the landscaping which makes this hotel very desirable to us. We found it peculiar that they asked us to leave our room key with the reception desk every time we leave the premises. But, regardless, we obliged and someone was always available to return our key. The only thing that we would have liked to have in the room is a TV, as we use the sound to help us fall asleep. It’s a quiet street and very close to the town square where you find restaurants, markets, etc. A romantic getaway for sure!!

We were located in the Jardin room with a garden view. The service at the hotel was impeccable, from being greeted at the entrance to the property to them helping us leave with our luggage at 5 am (early ferry). The room was quiet and the breakfast buffet was loaded with 3 different fresh-baked loaves of bread, fruits, cheeses, ham, and locally made coconut yogurt. We even had dinner at their restaraunt which was very enjoyable and the prices were no higher than in town.

Excellent place to spend time on Isabela. Right on the beach, within short walking distance from Concha la Perla where it's possible to swim with sea lions on your own, also within short walking distance from restaurants other than the one which is right in Casa de Marita. I had one dinner there and it was great (fish in coconut cream). I also had breakfast each day in the same restaurant. It also satisfied my needs. The buffet includes toast bread, sliced ham and chase, fruits, cereals, very good coffee, cake, different types of juices and one type of hot/warm dish (different each day, for example pancakes) as well as egg dishes prepared on demand in kitchen (scrambled, fried, etc.) . If I could suggest any improvement, I would add some vegetables to the menu, for example tomatoes.
The owner, Madame Marita is charming woman and it was so nice to be welcomed by her personally. The rest of the staff is excellent, particularly Andrea who seems to be the leading person in reception. All in all, I can recommend this place to anyone willing to spend holidays on Isabela in great conditions and for reasonable price.

Hotel was right on the beach and also close to the port. Everything was 5-10 min walking from here. Room was nice and service excellent. Restaurant at the hotel was good as well. They offered a happy hour (limited selection) which you could enjoy on the rear patio watching the ocean.

Superb housing! I had a free-standing little bungalow, with a kitchen, in a lovely garden across the sandy road from the main building, which was directly on the beach. Their free breakfast is lascivious and delicious, with a grand view of the beach. I first stayed here a decade ago, on my initial trip to the Galapagos and was impressed-- my good opinion has only strengthened with this trip. Lovely buildings, very helpful personnel (who satisfied several requests). all in a marvelous site. I will surely return!

Place was very close to Pier.. Great buffet breakfast, big bed in big room with fridge, lovely staff, amazing artwork around and an owner that takes the time to meet and talk with all of her guests! Great location on the beach.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the beach. The staff are friendly and nice. Overall, the hotel was clean. My specific room was a bit dark and scary, even with the curtains fully open and the lights on! I believe each room is decorated differently, so I would stay there again and request a different room. The only downside was there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom plumbing.

Of the three hotels we stayed at during out hotel at galapagos this was by far the best. You will find that unless you are staying at a very expensive and ritzy hotel, in general most places will act more likely an BnB or hostel as there is no 24 hr staff available, most English is very limited, etc... Location is great with direct access to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the downtown area or the port. Price was very reasonable and sits in the mid-range to upper mid-range for the area. had a 24hr access front desk which is not something you think about until you have a problem. We didn't speak any spanish so we appreciated that their english was adequate and they were able to make calls for us to clarify some of our tour details. The food at the hotel was great, but rather expensive for the area.

We only stayed for a night here and checked in at 9am and checked out the next day at 5am to catch the ferry back to Santa Cruz island. The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we left our stuff in the lobby (in a closet that isn't locked) and got picked up by our tour guide. When we arrived back at the hotel, we checked in at 8pm and everyone went straight to bed. At 9:30pm the housekeeper knocked on our door loudly and multiple times asking if we needed towels - everyone was asleep and I had to get up and answer the door. Then we got a call at 10pm from the front desk asking us to check out that night since we were leaving so early in the morning, which is fair, but I wish they told us that when they brought us to our room. So I got up again, changed, and walked to the front desk, the girl who called was busy in the kitchen so I had to wait 10-15 minutes. When checking out, the girl ran my credit card for the wrong amount TWICE. At 10:45 the front desk girl comes to our room and knocks on the door and said that she wasn't supposed to run my card because it was pre-paid. She asked for my credit card again and was gone for 20 minutes, when she came back she told me that she made a mistake and it wasn't pre-paid. She handed me the bill and then left. 10 min later she knocked on the door again asking for the bill back.

The room wasn't very clean, there were ants everywhere and the wi-fi was non-existent anywhere other than the lobby.

The hotel was really cute and exceeded expectations relative to the photos posted. The staff was very welcoming and bilingual. The immediate beach connects to a much longer beach that is great for a morning stroll or jog and an evening walk home from dinner. The restaurant was wonderful as well.

Beautiful Peruvian hotel

Lovely charming family place run by a Peruvian woman, Marita. She gives a nice personal touch. Great access to the beach. Internet is slow so be prepared to be offline for a while. Isabella island is beautiful but also remote from civilization. No tv, but it gives you time to read relax and take in the sea iguanas and sea lions laying at your doorstep.

I found this property by accident on line & was delighted with my choice! Andrea met us when we arrived & took very good care of us. Check-in was a breeze, our room was large & comfortable & clean! The hotel right on the beach was a plus. It was a short walk to town, and a short walk to the pier. Andrea's advice on things to do & where to go was good... we enjoyed the activities she suggested. I highly recommend La Casa de Marita!

This was the extended part of our stay at the same hotel, we stayed in the ocean view suite. One of the best views you could wake up to, the rooms were very spacious with large balconies. The hotel staff was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was very good.

La Casa de Marita is an 8-minute walk from the dock on Isabela Island, closer than any other lodging on the island. It has a beautiful sand beach, and is a short walk to the \"downtown\" area. The hotel itself has a very nice restaurant. I enjoyed sitting outside with an adult beverage, watching others swim in the surf.

Like every other place in the Galapagos, the wifi is essentially un-usable in the evening and slow the rest of the time.

This was such a beautiful property, right on the beach with a lovely beach walk. awesome patio with hammocks and lawn chairs. But the restaurant was the best and the staff PHENOMENAL love them!!!! we are vegetarian and they more then accommodated us.
