One of my best stays in Spain! The apartment was within walking distance of the train station and all the major sites. It was spotless with everything I needed to prepare meals and feel at home. Enjoyed having a W/D available for use and the bottle of local red wine given upon arrival was excellent! Angelica couldn't have been nicer. She was consistently helpful, generous with her time and kind. Thank you!

Port Plaza Apartments is convenient to the train station, port and beach in Tarragona. Having a furnished apartment with kitchen, etc. was very convenient. The wifi worked well. The facility was very secure.

The hotel was okay overall, but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.

On the day of arrival we had to send multiple emails and messages just to get our entry codes. If we hadn’t kept hassling, I genuinely think we wouldn’t have received them at all — which would’ve left us with nowhere to stay that night since we arrived after reception closed. We even bumped into another guest who had this exact issue and couldn’t get into the hotel. The “emergency number” provided is just the hotel’s reception phone, which no one answered (we heard it ringing from inside).

Reception staff weren’t welcoming — they barely mumbled hello and weren’t helpful. We were only given two rolls of toilet paper for two people for a whole week (we had to ask for more), and just two towels. The “sea view” balcony was misleading; you only see the sea if you stand up, turn your head 90 degrees, and crane your neck.

On the plus side, the hotel was quiet so we slept well. The shower and air conditioning were great, and there’s an elevator which is handy for luggage. However, the sink drained so slowly it stayed filled with toothpaste and water, which was unpleasant.

Overall, the price felt a bit steep for what you get. The place wasn’t terrible, but it was slightly on the grotty side compared to cheaper hotels we’ve stayed in that were cleaner and nicer.

Port Plaza apartments are in a great location for the Port, the beach and the town. Check in was with a very helpful man who explained everything to us. The Aircon was good and the apartment was comfortable. We would return.

Wonderful helpful staff (we only dealt with one man and I'm sorry I missed his name so I could praise him here). He helped us book taxis, as Uber and other ride share companies not really reliable here. 10 minute walk under the train tracks, past the naval ship yard to the beach. Also close to the Tarragona train station. (Tarragona Camp train station is farther away and needs taxi or bus transfer).
We had a studio with kitchen. Wish there was salt and pepper and napkins or paper towels. Beach towels or a change of bath towels would've been appreciated, but we were only there 3 days. Grocery store around the corner.
We loved the Roman amphitheatre, but the forum (circus) and theatre are both closed and fenced off, so cannot be seen.

The apartment was generally very comfortable, roomy, good television, nice size fridge/freezer for holiday apartment and everything worked well and was clean and in good condition. Bed and pillows a little hard but okay. Could have had bigger cups and being English we used a pan to make tea/coffee as no kettle. Bathroom a good size and lovely shower. In a quiet part of Tarragona near to port - lovely restaurants on the port at reasonable prices. Lots of history in Tarragona and people lovely.

This is a beautiful building, walkable to the port, beaches, and many of the historic sites and neighborhoods. The studio I stayed in was immaculate and spacious. The optional breakfast was very good and in a pretty space. Check-in after 6:00pm, including parking, was complicated, but the rest of the experience more than made up for it.

Good apartment choice in Tarragona

Port Plaza Apartments are a five-min walk from the train station and a 10-min walk to the beach. The one we stayed in had a separate bedroom, separate bathroom, and a combined kitchen/dining/living room. It was very convenient for a multi-day stay. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. For the most part, wifi worked well, but it was down one afternoon out of four days.

Spacious studio apartment in Tarragonna. Check in was wonderful as had early 6am flight and was hot and exhausted after walking 25 minutes from bus station as we took the bus from Barcelona airport which is just aver an hour to Tarragonna. Check in manager was great he called to see if our room was ready. Thankfully it had just been cleaned. We were so grateful as it wasn’t even 12midday. He kindly gave us a kettle without us asking so we could make a cuppa. Continental breakfast is available for a charge but we made our own. Small kitchen but equipped with everything we needed even had a dishwasher. Good size fridge /freezer. Also microwave/oven. Kingsize comfy bed. Good air con, High ceilings which gave apartment airy feel. Large sofa and dining table and chairs. We were really comfortable and happy with our studio.

Close to train station, port and beach. 2 Small supermarkets 2 mins walk away so we stocked up with water, milk, bread and fruit for breakfast. Good restaurants and shops close by. Easy to walk if you enjoy walking and exploring. Not touristy like many areas in Spain. We liked being with the locals. Enjoyed wandering around Tuesday and Thursday markets. Also did many of the ruins which were free on the Tuesday we went. Then relaxed on the beach which was clean and sandy. Note there are no toilet facilities or shops for food or drinks. It was fine for us as we always like to bring our own iced drinks and picnic to the beach. Loved our stay.

Nice location for a few days stay. Kitchenette well equipped and modern. Good water pressure. The surrounding area and the building felt very safe and secure.
Rooms facing out on the train line can be disturbed a bit by noise, but worth it for the sea views. Just a quick walk (5 minutes) to the beautiful beach which is not too busy. Wish I had had a terrace but overall very happy. Very good price for a 1-bedroom apartment with sea views!! Value for money :)

It was only a 1 night trip to see the area and then head to Barcelona. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything you need if wanting to self cater. We chose to eat out as only there for the 1 evening. The staff were very helpful with directions to the areas we wanted to visit.

This was a very comfortable stay right near the train station and a short walk from the beach, if that’s your thing; not far from the tourist attractions though they are all uphill (but downhill coming home!). Extremely powerful AC! Very clean and quiet, great value IMO.

The hotel cancelled our reservation done 3 months ago, and sent us to other place.
They said that they were overbook, but it was not overbook when we made the reservation and they confirmed and charged three months ago.
By the time that they cancelled to us, 4 days before the flight, it was impossible to get other reservation in places that we wanted.

A two night stay. A very comfortable bed.
The property is on the flat below the historic town, but is about 4 blocks away from an escalator/elevator that brings one up to the top level.
Easy parking. Enough kitchen that you could cook for yourself if you wanted. A couple of dining options close, but easy to get to the old town.

The building is very attractive, situated on a historic square, a 10 minute walk to the beachfront. Staff helpful but occasionally difficult to locate. Breakfast room is extremely pleasant; good breakfast buffet. Neighborhood is unremarkable but safe. Building is well out of the old town, but Tarragona is not large, so it's not a difficult walk to the main sights.

Port Plaza Apartments are conveniently located in Tarragona near the train station and beach, with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. There is good security with a locked gate and front door, though the area seemed safe. It was nice to have an equipped kitchen. The wifi worked well but was a little slow.

Great spot for sightseeing. Check-in was a bit confusing but we managed to get there before 4pm so saw someone in person. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed. Despite being close to train tracks the soundproofing is great so you dont even notice.

Stayed here for about a week with my husband and daughter (4 year old). The room is spacious, decent and has everything you need but honestly, it needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. Especially by the bed frame all around, and the washroom. The shower drainage needs to be checked as every time we used it the water overflows outside the shower area. The shower has no doors, so every time you use the shower the water goes all over, making it wet and dangerous inside the washroom. I can see why there is mold built up all inside the washroom.

There is a lot of shops and a market - within walking distance from the hotel. The beach is also very close by. My daughter really enjoyed the park right across the street and appreciated all the great local eats in this town.

Everything worked great, modern kitchens with dishwasher, convection oven and Nespresso coffeemaker. Only concern was housekeeping: stayed for two weeks and only had one day of cleaning. I keep a clean home so not too much of an issue, swapped towels at the front desk and bought my own soap.

Superb modern apartments in classic building.

Excellent experience in a modern, well designed and equipped studio in an 18th Century building on the waterfront in Tarragona. The staff were lovely, communication was good - and has to be (!) as deposits, city taxes etc all have to be organised online in advance. The freight railway line runs very close to the building but the soundproofing is excellent throughout. They are currently installing a breakfast area/co-working space which should be a perfect addition to the property.
Pleasant walks along both the interesting maritime docks and the beach within minutes, both lined with seafood restaurants. Tarragona itself is walkable everywhere with stunning Roman remains dotted all over the city. Really recommend a visit and Port Plaza certainly ticked all my boxes!

Minimal decor, clean and surprisingly very quiet even though very close to the train line. Once the doors and windows closed we couldn’t heat anything. Very quiet at night. Great facilities but check-in was a disaster. Booked hotel on the basis that reception was open daily until 4pm as set out in their listing. Arrived hotel at 2pm and no one was on the property. Access was locked. Followed an existing client in after waiting outside the property for in excess of an hour. Found a cleaning lady who had no information. Convinced her to make a phone call to someone. That person was totally unapologetic about not booking us in. He inferred that it was okay to not be present to check someone in when they made a booking and no having reception open even though he acknowledged it is advertised there was a reception daily unitl 4pm. We were told we should checkin online at their website even though no such instructions were give and is totally contrary to their listing information

I was extremely pleased with the Port Plaza Apartments. Even though the train is close by, there was no noise, or disturbing vibrations, when it went by. I chose a room with a view of the water, which also overlooked the park below. On Saturday, there was a farmer's market, where I purchased the most amazing cheese, I have ever come across! There are plenty of Cafe's close by, and a supermarket within 2 mins walking. Bus lines are also on the street next to the hotel, and the front desk is also very helpful for calling a taxi for you, should you need one. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel, and the apartment, was very clean, spacious, and well taken care of. A full stand in shower, with great water pressure, is a must, and theirs did not disappoint. The apartments have a fully functioning kitchen, with up to date appliances, and was stocked with dishes, utensils, and pans, should you choose to cook your own meals. I was able to log into my Netflix account, on their smart tv, so the in apartment entertainment was not lacking. The heater, and A/C worked amazingly well, and the apartment was always very comfortable, and the rooms were very open, and well furnished. There are several small balconies, that are fitted with glass interior doors, and exterior shutter doors, in case you want to feel the breeze. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Port Plaza Apartments, and would definitely recommend them!

The studio apartment is quite new and large. Location-wise it’s close to the train station (5 min walk) but slightly further away from the city centre. It has good amenities but would help if they provide cooking oil, salt, sugar and black pepper. Small sachets would do.
The only negative point was that the front desk was manned only during the day. One evening someone did some cooking and triggered the fire alarm. Many guests went down to stay outside but nobody knew what to do. Eventually someone rang the manager and he instructed him to go into a specific room to turn off the alarm. This was a pretty bad incident.

Very modern studio apartment--clean and tidy appearance, nicely appointed and decorated. The building is near the train station but very quiet--no outside noise interrupted our sleep. It is about a 10-15 minute walk up a hill from the building to the main tourist sites of Tarragona, but we enjoyed the walk. Very secure building, although parking on city street can be difficult to find at times. We enjoyed our stay very much.
