The location is perfect and the rooms large and clean. The corridors were dated and had a musty smell, but this did not affect the bedrooms or main living areas. Likely to do with the age of the building which is otherwise beautifully kept. Also has a private parking which is incredible in Olbia!

It’s really run down old property and in dire need of a full renovation. It smelled old, felt old, and not in a cute charming way. The breakfast was more basic than you can imagine in a dungeon. Location isn’t the greatest either.

-Nice, clean hotel in the center, close to everything you won’t need a car
-Friendly reception and very helpful
-Rooms are soooo big and comfortable (We can say it’s a studio not a room ^^)

If you like to stay in “Barns,” Colonna Palace Mediterraneo is your choice! It should be remained to “Animals Barns House.” Old like Barns, carpet is dirty after pigs were there, no chairs on the balcony ducks and chicken destroyed it, elevator doesn’t work because they were lifting to milk a cow. Only receptionist’s guys were very nice and Francesca at breakfast. This is a 1 star hotel. Miss advertised!

Nice people and nice location

We were warmly welcomed even though we arrived on a ferry at 7am and check in is normally not until 2. Still they invited us to come in, gave us a wonderful breakfast and got the room ready early! We were surprised to have a little refrigerator and they gave us plates and silverware to use so we were able to have a simple supper in our room!

Good quality hotel/room with a massive sign on the top that you can see from the train station, the buses to other parts of Sardinia depart from the end of the road (20m away). Staff were a little weird but one was training (i think) and the other was just trying too hard.

Original room i was given had various problems...washbasin and bath didn`t have plugs.....tv didn`t work.....couldn`t get any natural light because the balcony shutters didn`t work.In the end i was given a far better room.
The Breakfast was absolutely awful...really awful and cheap.
The staff were excellent as was the location.
I would certainly not recommend this to anyone else.

Wish I'd stayed longer

The hotel is not far from the historic centre of Olbia, but is generally very quiet. Also, it is located less than 5 minutes' walking distance from the bus stop for Pittalongu and Palau. The hotel has a beautiful interior, and the service was quite good, as one would expect from a 4-star. One thing that stood out to me was my room; as mid-June is not high season, there were very few guests at the hotel. I'm pretty sure I was upgraded from a twin room to a queen suite, and obviously was very happy with the change. That said, I saw a twin room, and even this would have been satisfactory. The rooms are clean, a decent size and have all the necessities. Overall, I very much enjoyed the stay at the hotel.

I wouldn't return

Welcome was good, and we were offered coffee while our passports were processed. Breakfast was acceptable. But the room was very small, the shower gave only a trickle and had to be hand- held and the AC unit was coming away from the wall. I know Sardinia is expensive, but this was definitely over-priced.

The room was really dark, even when you turned on all the lights & opened the windows. The room & bath did not seem clean. Bed & pillows uncomfortable. On the positive, the staff was extremely nice & helpful. Breakfast was great; location good. Overall it wasn't too bad since we got free breakfast & parking.

Le pire Hotel que nous avons eu l’occasion de frequenter. Il se situé dans un quartier d’Olbia peu fréquentable et dont les immeubles autour sont délabrés. L’hôtel est resté comme à son ouverture certainement dans les années 1970.
Sale, mobilier désuet. Petit déjeuner servi dans une salle très sale, nappe en papier sale. Le jus d’orange et le lait son laissés dans les berlingots à la température ambiante. Cet Hôtel mérite maximum deux étoiles. C’est scandaleux que les chambres soient encore reservables sur Hôtel.com. Le seul point positif est l’amabilité du personnel qui sait se rendre disponible.

Für eine Nacht gerade so okay

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Name „Palace“ ist etwas irreführend. Es ist ein Bunkerbau am Rande der Innenstadt in jetzt nicht der allerbesten Gegend. Die Teppiche in den Fluren sind sehr runtergerockt, alles macht einen sanierungsbedürftigen Eindruck. Mein Zimmer roch sehr unangenehm (Turnhallenumkleide), ließ sich mit Dauerlüften halbwegs beheben.
Zimmer war riesig mit recht wenig Licht, dafür allerdings auffällig vielen Lichtschaltern, von denen die Hälfte ohne Funktion war.
Frühstück erst ab halb acht, daher zu spät, wenn man einen frühen Flieger bekommen muss.

Vi sökte inte efter hotel med pool och fick inte det heller så på vår sökning var allt utmärkt. Super trevlig personal, utmärkt städning. Hotellet har några år på nacken och det syns kanske på sina ställen men nyrenoverade duschrum på rummet gjorde det fräscht och snyggt.

Das Hotel war etwas veraltet und das Zimmer in dem wir waren, war wirklich nicht schön. Alles alt und dunkel. Sauber war es, jeden tag frische Handtücher. Jedoch war der Balkon voll mit Vogelscheiße, es gab keinen Tisch und keine Stühle auf dem Balkon. Auf Nachfrage bekamen wir alte Stühle und einen Tisch mit einer alten Tischdecke. War ok aber nicht schön. Zudem man auch noch den Blick vom Balkon nicht genießen konnte. Es sah so aus als ob von unserer Seite des Zimmers, kein weiteres vermietet war. Auf den anderen Balkonen sah es wie auf einer Baustelle aus und alte Möbel lagen dort. Gehe davon aus das dort etwas renoviert wird. Frühstück war auch sehr lau, kann man sich sparen und geht lieber in die naheliegenden Cafés
Da hat man deutlich mehr von. Also würde dieses Hotel nicht weiter empfohlen. Zum schlafen ok und wenn die Ansprüche nicht hoch sind.

Abbiamo soggiornato la notte del 25 dicembre. Hotel bellissimo, aree comuni stile antico che noi abbiamo adorato, stanca enorme, con soggiorno bagno con doccia di circa tre metri quadri e un letto grande è comodissimo! L’atmosfera bellissima in quanto c’era un caldo tepore ad attenderci. Per qualsiasi occasione saremo pronti a tornare in questo hotel !

Slitet hotell med stora renoveringsbehov

Riktigt slitet hotell som inte verkar ha renoverats sen det öppnade. Fyra stjärnor är ett stort skämt! Dessutom fungerade inte hissen upp till våning sju som vi bodde på, så vi fick släpa våra resväskor en våning utan att någon erbjöd oss hjälp. Dagen efter fungerade inte hissen över huvud taget.

L’hôtel est bien placer car il est bien desservis en bus. A 15 mins de la plage de pittulongo et a moins d’une demi heure de l’aéroport. Cadre sympa :)
Un gros coup de cœur pour le receptionist qui est a l’ecoute.

Ich habe eine Woche im Hotel gewohnt. Der Service, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und besonders die Sauberkeit waren sehr gut. Im Zimmer gibt es einen großen Kühlschrank. Ist sehr angenehm um Getränke zu kühlen. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr sauber. Leider ist die Dusche sehr eng. Das ist aber auch der einzige Mangel.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war landestypisch sehr gut.
Das Hotel liegt ruhig in einer Seitenstraße. Parkplätze für den Mietwagen gab es jederzeit in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Stadtzentrum mit vielen guten Restaurants läßt sich in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichen.
Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Bon établissement pour une nuit

Séjour dans cet hôtel pour une nuit en transit à Olbia. L'hôtel est bien desservie et à proximité du centre ville. Le personnel et les chambres sont très bien. Eviter le petit-déjeuner, peu attractif et en manque de fraîcheur.
