We had 2 suites everything was okay. One thing that was a downfall was the bathroom there was not an actual shower it was a tub and it was too high to get in it. Besides everything was great. Breakfast was the same thing every day after eating eggs small hotdogs, bacon and grill tomato’s the first day I thought the other days would have been variety of other stuff. Besides everything was ok, staff was super nice from front desk to cleaning staff.

The hotel is absolutely stunning with massive rooms and fantastic luxury. The late checkout was bliss and gave us plenty of time to indulge ourselves at breakfast. Overall this is a fantastic hotel. The food at dinner was a little bland but the staff were fantastic. We didnt use the pool but it was gorgeous.

What an amazing experience. We wish we had more days there. We decided to spend our last two nights in Olbia at the Delta but we were super surprised at how great the hotel was with everything. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were large and clean. The gym was open 24 hours. Although the gym wasn’t big and didn’t have a lot of machines, it was nice to have to open all the time.

The hotel is close to the airport which is perfect. If you don’t mind walking, 20 minutes and you’re at the town with the marina, amazing restaurants, great walking sights, the Ferris wheel and so much more.

The pool was very big and quiet. It wasn’t warm, but we were with two kids and they didn’t mind swimming in it.

The food at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast had so many options for everyone. The bar was spacious and clean. The rooms had a kettle and provided coffee and tea.

We travelled with two kids and they were very happy with everything. We will return to this hotel.

A functional easy hotel to stay. The checkin was great and easy and room ready early. The bed was so comfy and room a great size well appointed. Breakfast was great lots of options and wide selections.

The pool sun-beds could be more comfortable and the snack bar by the pool a more varied menu.

The staff were all very friendly.

I would recommend staying here if you need somewhere functional to stay.

Breakfast was good! Lounge/barc restaurant was not so good (however they did correct their mistake in the end). Location was not very close to the center square, kind of remote from most things. Although it is walkable if you are capable. Would recommend staying closer to more amenities if we were to stay again.

Our quick overnight stay turned into quite a journey. We had a medical emergency at around 4am, where Giovanni so graciously helped us and called an ambulance. The staff was incredible and they ordered us a taxi back from the hospital. Would really recommend. Also a lovely property in itself, optimal location.

The hotel is well-located, about 5 minutes by car or 15/20 minutes on foot from the center of Olbia, near the port and the main tourist area.

I stayed for 7 nights with my son, and the hotel was not full. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay and what the hotel offered. Parking was free and secure. The staff was nice and helpful. I was lucky enough to retrieve a $500 item I had forgotten in the gym 24 hours earlier, thanks to the honest staff.

The room was nice, but it seemed that the AC and electricity were not working when we left the room, preventing us from charging our devices during the day unless we were in the room. The hotel uses a system where you need to insert the key card at the entrance to activate the power, so when it’s removed, everything shuts down.

We used the pool, which was a bit cold as it was not heated, but it was manageable. The gym had limited options, but it was sufficient for a week-long stay.

The breakfast options were good.

Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my stay.

We were able to walk to the tourist areas in Olbia with lots of shopping and restaurants. We stayed over while waiting to be picked up for a tour and the hotel worked out great since we didn't have a car. Very nice pool. Breakfast was very good also. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great staff, especially reception, bar man and room cleaner, very welcoming and friendky. Nice hotel, good location. Breakfast could be better, lack of egg choice( only had watery scrambled eggs) no fresh fried egg, omellete etc, but then again if its included for free, not exoecting much and it did have some choice, but would not pay extra, we went once in 5 days. My main and only negative it the shower cubicle. We had a delux room, the bathroom was good size, but the shower cubile tiny!. I know its common in Sardinia, but with a deluxe room, you would hope for a bigger shower cubicle, kept hitting my self. Good lucky to anyone slightly bigger/wider.

The property is located an easy 10-15 minute walk from the Corso Umberto which is where most restaurants and shops are located/near.
The location made our stay very quiet and peaceful, but also it’s not convenient when you can’t be bothered to walk into Olbia or get a taxi. If you dine at the hotel it’s fine, quite pricey but decent portion sizes. It’s €20 each for room service, at dinner we paid €30 for a wine we then found in a shop for €7.50, the servers are lovely and try hard but I think they’re over-stretched handling the restaurant and bar. The breakfast had a decent selection but none of the food really stayed the right temperature - e.g stone cold pancakes and lukewarm yoghurt.

The balcony was huge and had a lovely view (at least from our floor), and the room was cleaned and attended to well. Lots of space and towels and amenities within it, can’t complain.

The hotel helped us to organise a rental car for a few days and there was also a designated desk to book a taxi service/La Maddalena excursion which was very helpful and a valuable addition.

The pictures of the pool I personally felt misrepresented the size, and we had to ask for the jacuzzi bubbles to be turned on - the water itself remained cold. There isn’t any outdoor toilet so you have to dry off and get dressed if you need the facilities. The bars aren’t manned during the day so if you want to drink before 7pm you’ll struggle.

A good spot to stay if you have a rental car and want free parking, however, I would dread when it came to sleeping because I would wake up with mosquito bites all over my body and face every morning. Our room also smelled like cigarettes when we checked in and occasionally after room service- not sure if the staff smokes on the balcony as they clean the room? I personally would not stay here again.

We stayed one night, and before arrival we had read many bad reviews about this hotel. Obviously, some people believe that DoubleTree by Hilton, is a Hilton hotel with Hilton standard and service. Then they get disappointed, of course.
Our stay was super with large clean rooms. Good beds.
The hotel was similar to what you find from good economy in US from same chain.

The room was great - clean, new and big. All the facilities we needed were available in the room. That’s the only thing we really liked about the hotel. Breakfast was too basiс. Sometimes it was almost impossible to get coffee, waiters were busy with something else. When we went to the pool we were offered to buy towels for 105 euro each. No towels provided. Strange setup. WiFi was not suitable for stream video.
On the positive side - we could use guest bathroom after the checkout. And we even got some towels :)))

Waited 25 minutes for an omelette, asked a member of staff and his reply was he didn’t take the order, it’s not his problem. Struggled to get coffee as the coffee machine had run out one morning, again staff did not want to make it for us. Other than this, good comfy room. Bar prices high even for a Hilton!

Booked this hotel for ten nights because it had a pool. Pool wasn't open when we arrived. Expedia did not have this information on the website whilst booking but during stay noticed other competing hotel websites had this additional amendment. Was this a last-minute change, prompted by the hotel? Furthermore the large balcony associated with the room had no furniture and reception staff could not arrange this necessary addition. Major change to our holiday plan, shortcomings mitigated by poor weather conditions.

The location is a bit remote with the nearest facilities being in the town of Olbia which is a 15 minute walk along a busy road. However it is only 5 minutes from the airport by car and is a good base to explore the north of the island. The only downside was the evening meals which were expensive for rather ordinary food, which was strange as the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

We had a great experience at the Hilton doubletree. After staying in many air bnbs throughout our trip, it was nice to feel pampered. Everything from the welcome cookie, pool and rooms were all spot on. We had an enormous balcony overlooking the mountain. The hotel is also about a 15 mind walk to all the main restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again.

Good stop by airport, simple stay

Close to airport. Good option if looking to stay in Olbia in a brand you know. Staff was welcoming, room was large but some rooms are located by elevators and ice machine with tile floor so you hear all the traffic pass, most rooms are away from that area and have carpet outside so you don’t hear noise. Our room had spiders and ants in bathroom, not a big deal we sprayed and told hotel upon departure, they probably came from another guest on their beach bag.

Lovely hotel with some nice grounds and a great swimming pool. It is a little out of the way and is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the main tourist thoroughfare. During our stay the wind got up every afternoon which does make it a bit cooler. If you are going you will enjoy it.

Arrived here on a Sunday afternoon, and was greeted with a very warm welcome and a delightful choc-chip cookie! checked-in and away to our room. was allocated a disabled room (first for me - although the bathroom was bigger, was not used to the different equipment that comes with a disabled room). in the evening when returned from dinner, there seemed to be an issue with the aircon and it was very warm and uncomfortable in the room. called reception and they initially told me would have to wait until the morning for the technician to come, but i kindly asked for someone to come and have a look from the front desk as it was too warm to sleep in. one of the front office staff came up and agreed it was much to warm, so managed to find another room for us to stay in that night. technician sorted out the aircon issue the following morning and all was fine after that. area itself is a walkable distance to the town centre, but would highly recommend renting a car so that you can explore the nearby beaches and the restaurants slightly outside of the town centre, which i found much more delightful.

Great value but only stay if you rent a car

Overall, it was a good stay without any major problems. For travellers considering this hotel, please note the following.

1. The location is slightly awkward if you do not have a car. If you decide to stay here make sure you rent a car otherwise it will be a 30-min walk to Olbia town centre.

2. Housekeeping is not always timely. They sometimes do not make up your room until 3-4pm. Also cotton pads / cotton buds which are standard in many hotels are not in bathrooms by default. You have to ask for them at the reception and they are not replenished by housekeeping.

3. Quality of toileteries are quite poor.

4. WIFI connection is very disappointing.

Chill, Relax and Enjoy at this lovely Hotel

A very relaxing stay at the double tree, the staff are friendly and informative and will happily assist in all matters possible. The Hotel is a little out of the way but a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes in the car, or even a 1 euro 50 bus ticket will get you into the centre of olbia ( Number 11 bus) Dont forget to validate your ticket. If you do not validate it there is a whopping 50 euro fine. The pool was suppossed to be closed when we visited early October. What they mean is the pool has no life guard and they are not responsable for you having an accident. You can still use the pool and loungers. I did however have a couple of disagreements with Germans who had gone off for the day and left thier towels on the pool furniture to reserve it. My view is that if they are not there it is unfair and unreasonable to do this. I am now back, chilled and refreshed and will be going back........Enjoy. Oh, if you intend travelling around, Book a hire car.

One Night in Olbia

Stayed 1 night as we were catching a flight out from Olbia the next morning. We had a car so we had no problem driving to find a place to eat in the center of town. Facilities were really nice and hotel very clean. The pool was excellent.

The hotel was lovely and staff very nice; it is a 15 minute walk to the town centre and about 10 minutes to bus stop. A small shop at the end of the street and bar/cafeteria next to the shop. The outside of the bar doesn't look good but inside and the lady who is there was very nice and welcoming so don't be put off.

If you want an authentic Italian holiday, that's not commercial, and British then this is a perfect base. The hotel is a leisurely 15-20 min stroll from the centre of olbia. A car is almost essential, however there is a bus service from town, but If you wanna get some bits from a supermarket, then that's about 2km away. There is a little shop nearby, that sells water etc. The only negatives I have about the hotel (and I'm being really picky ) is no bins by pool for rubbish and the showers that where used after checkout were a bit smelly and the main shower heads didn't work. ..but still had hand held shower heads.

This is a good hotel, once you can find it. The Garmin GPS gave the wrong address and took us into the middle of the old city and left us hanging there. We made it out of that but couldn't find our way to the hotel because it is on the outer edge of town and well hidden from sight by blocks of old buildings.

Pleasant stay at the Modern Hilton Olbia

As we had a car the location was ideal (may be a little trickier to get around without one from the hotel unless you are happy to stay within Olbia & Downtown for the majority of your holiday).
Beautiful hotel, very modern, and staff always very friendly. Great bar prices and restaurant decent. Stayed on 4th floor and had a large balcony overlooking the pool. Average sized rooms but incredibly comfy, particularly after a long day of exploring! Breakfast was tasty, good variety. Only downside was that there were only two or three English channels on the TV. Wasn't much of a problem for us but seemed a shame given the large flatscreen TV in the room..! Wifi wasn't bad, but a few periods where it was unable to connect.
Aside from those two minor flaws, really enjoyed my week at the Hilton Olbia.

Quality staff

The reception staff at the hotel were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They printed off bus timetables for us, so we could go out exploring.
The problem of the 'cigarette smoke smell' in the room was rectified, the hotel removed & cleaned the curtains, and did a deep clean of the room.

lovely

The hotel is lovely and the breakfast is very good. We stated in two more hotels on the iceland (different parts), but this hotel was the best. The one down side was that there isn't much around. Town centre was 20-30 min walk along a busy road and beaches are reachable only by car. The pool is lovely though :). This hotel is perfect to stop over at for a night or two if you are travelling from olbia airport!

Good location interesting views

On arrival we were given a warm cookie which was a nice touch. Room quite large, clean and plenty of space for unpacking. Bathroom clean and also spacious. Hotel in an odd location in the midst of a flyover, rail line and swamp land. Thankfully this did not affect our stay. Unfortunately the main street lighting was broken, so make sure you pack a torch. The WIFI took some time to set up, but once up and running worked well, although this did not stretch as far as the pool area which was disappointing. Standard TV Channels are only news channels.

If you have a hire car then this is a good location for easy access to the main roads to discover the island. If you want to explore Olbia by foot then it is a 20 minute walk to main bars and restaurants, where there is easy access for public transport and the trains. As the weather was temperate being the beginning of the season daily walking to central Olbia could become unbearable in extreme heat.

We had wanted a late check out (by a few hours), but were told we would need to pay for a full day. The amount we were told by the reception staff was considerably higher than extending the stay either directly online or through alternative sites. Not impressed.

Where to stay in Olbia.

While we only had 2 days to stay in Olbia, the Doubetree turned out to be right place for us. The food was good, the rooms were great, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. A great place, near enough to the airport, yet also near enough to many interesting things in Olbia. Next time we visit, we will be staying there again!

I Always go in Hilton Doubble Tree in Olbia
Very modern style ,big rooms , big bath rooms
Everything is psperfect
Nice pool , cars park
Price very reasonable

Nice hotel with comfortable bed!

A little difficult to find driving from the airport but worth it as hotel is lovely and the bed very comfortable. A little isolated but was able to walk to a lovely park in about 10 minutes.

Couldn't fault the hotel or service - food and wine on offer at dinner was some of the best I have experienced in a hotel - breakfast seemed more of a chore for the hotel but don't let that put you off - good value and professional operation.

Perfect Olbia Location

Italian's are rigid by nature. At this hotel they were willing to go the extra mile. New hotel. 4 years old. Great pool, gym and bar. Rooms comfortable but like most Italian hotels the beds are extra firm.

Its a Hilton...but

Clean, professional and modern hotel in the middle of an industrial wasteland...was a good 15 minute walk to town through traffic to get the right side of the tracks. The hotel is great for access to motorways but nowhere near other hotels, restaurants and shopping. No problem if you don't mind a walk to and from your lodgings.

Excellent Quality Hotel

Olbia is not that exciting of a town but this is the nicest hotel in the city. Great and very helpful staff. Clean and very nice rooms. Awesome pool.

Bed was a little hard and the hotel bar only has 1 type of draft beer. The most annoying issue was the super slow internet. Don't expect to do any work that requires an internet connection.

Clean hotel but to far from town very isolated seems more like a business hotel than for a holiday there were lots of pilots there, food and drink very expensive,swimming pool freasing cold and not enough sun beds,had breakfast once 15 euros each it was awfull
