I stayed for 8 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Staff all friendly and helpful. Nazife how cleaned our room was very kind and helpful. Our room was clean. I would only recommend that for breakfast the hot foods should have warmer. And if possible a toaster would be nice. We did not use gym or swimming pool but check them and it is pretty nice.
Location is good 3 minutes walk to Taksim😊 good restaurants near hotel.
I recommend this hotel and will go again.

Unfortunately, I put my wallet into a safe box including 31*100 USD =3100 USD and went out for breakfast from 08:45 till 10:00
When I reached my destination Dubai today I saw they robbed my money and changed those notes to 30*1 USD 30 USD Please consider this matter and contact the hotel management

The locations is great. Many very good places to eat nearby. Room well appointed, clean, beds very comfortable, nice large shower. Good breakfast and staff helpful. Taxsim Square very close, great shopping, walkable.. Yes, we recommend this property.

Friendly and professional reception!
I was able to check in early and I was made to feel welcome!
The Breakfast buffet was inviting and the chef was warm and welcoming even though we had a language barrier.

Really nice staff. The hotel is so convenient because so close with the bus stop from the airport and close to Taksim Square, Metro. Also walkable to the Galata Tower around 20 minutes.

Great Staff, very helpful.
We did not have Soap to wash our hands so we were using the shampoo instead!
Fridge is very old and takes a while to cool down.
A/C hardly works.
Other than that great breakfast, amazing people.

I love the hotel. The rooms were clean and nice. They bought us a beautiful baskets with delicious fruits. The pool and sauna are very relaxing and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

The staff was nice I must say, the pool was out of service the whole 10 days there ( pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel) It is close to a bar with filled with obnoxious drunks laughing all night. Not a terrible place but, could have been better. Probably more suited for people under 30 years old

The location is very good in Taksim, the staff were friendly, the only problem was the front arabic night club which makes noise in late night.
I advice for travellers to reserve this hotel when the want to stay in Taksim

The location is A++ near to every thing a tourist can ask the only issue we had was someone in our floor was smoking and the smell was everywhere in the room for an entire night when I told the receptionist about it they apologize for the inconvenience and even they send us a plate of fruits but even we didn’t accepted it just the smell on the room beside this issue overall was a great stay

Great hospitality

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The manager and crew were really helpful and good-tempered. They made all their efforts to keep us satisfied with their wonderful services. The beds and restroom was neat. They did houskeeping everyday. We had no problem but its small room. I was reaaly pleased to choose this hotel for stay in Istanbul.

best hotel in istanbul, i booked a regular double room without breakfast but the gave me a grand deluxe room with breakfast which was very kind and we appreciate this. helpful staff clean hotel very close to taksim square. i recommend it and i’ll come back again

I would give a 3 stars, no more. Very noisy, we have heard everything happens in rooms around. Old and scratched furniture, black spots on the carpet. Staff is friendly and location is pretty good thou, that’s it. There are much better hotels around with the same price.

I liked the location, very close to Taksim square and all the night life. Room was not small it was extremely small, I couldn't even walk around. Room wasn't cleaned for 2 days out of 4. Breakfast was ok, had to pay 10 liras for natural orange juice though.

Hotel located in a noisy area

The experience was not pleasant at all. The hotel is located in a very noisy area where loud music from nearby nightclubs starts at 10-11 pm until after 4 am or so, we could not sleep the whole night.
The room was too warm and we couldn't open the window because of the noise outside.
The room is small, luckily we did not have much luggage so we were able to walk around the room. The kettle is on a table in the corner with a cord that does not reach the wall and we couldn't push the table to reach the wall socket because it gets blocked by the bed so I had to literally carry the kettle to boil water.
The room does not get cleaned properly; you could see dirt everywhere, they just fix the beds and mop the bathroom floor. Housekeeping could not be bothered to wash the coffee cup for three consecutive days and when I requested clean cups and made a complain, the house keeping guy said to talk to reception!

It was a nice hotel , near taksim it was easy to remove to the all places in istanbul , it's not far from the taxi station and the metro .

One thing was not good and not comfort there are alot of noise from outside of the hotel and we were listeninig all the noses it was hard to sleep at night

Average hotel in a good location.

I got a good price, and l knew the location was great. The room was clean and of reasonable size. The two things that really bugged me was the the female receptionist was very rude, as was the porter. They have no idea what a smile is, or what customer service means. Also, the rooms have paper thin walls. It is easy to hear what is going on in the next room. I had to put up with music and loud talking all night from my friends next door. It ruined an otherwise descent experience.

Its a nice hotel for price .

I got a room on the far end , not good wi-fi .
Had to stay by the door to use the wi-fi . I think the hotel should do somehting about that if they are reading those reviews.

The staff is very friendly , food not so good , Its an ok stay all in all .
I recommend it , Just be sure not to take the bachlor room , it super small , I had to upgrade to a double .

Comfortable hotel close to bus transfer to airport

Comfortable hotel. Located closed to bus transfer to airport.
However room is quite small. I had difficulty moving around in my room with my luggage on the floor as it occupies all walkway space.
Hotel staff insisted on bringing luggage up with me in the lift even though I have politely declined (because I did not have any small notes to tip him). He then stick around in my room for 5 minutes explaining all hotel facility to me which made me feel kind of awkward (as I am a female traveller travelling by myself).

definitely not a 4 star hotel

It was one of the worse hotel experiences. to start with hotel is no longer called golden age2...it took us 30 min to find it because the name outside hotel is avantgarde and not what they publish on website n bookings.
The rooms were so small that it was hard to open the bag and stand in the room at the same time.
The staff was so rude n couldnt be more unwelcoming.
They claim to have gym but no single equipment in the gym works, they are old and broken n honestly health hazad.
The pool is so small that its only good for kids.
The breakfast had a large selections but nothing was edible n they were reluctunt to refill. also the fruits they served were rotten.
If you have any other option for hotel i am sure it will be beter than this hotel.

Smoking room only, dated decor, dark interior

Underwhelming look and feel, very dark with low ceilings and poor lighting. Told that non smoking rooms are even more tiny than the smoking room offered to us. Toilet door doesn't shut. Shower had decent pressure and responsive to temperature adjustments. Included linen, shower toiletries and bedroom slippers, fridge, kettle, mirror in bedroom. Sensible placing of furniture in a small room. 15 minute walk to taksim square, taksim metro station. Acceptable for up to 2 nights after which it will be depressing. Breakfast was quite a spread but rather repetitive and somewhat odd, eg. Creamy chicken soup. English speaking staff are friendly but not quick on tidying and clearing tables. Very much a 3 star hotel and probably earned the additional star from business centre and offer of a health centre which I wasn't able to find. Not one that I will stay at again.
