While this hotel is beautiful, has a spa, restaurant on the premises, is 20 minutes from the airport and the desk staff is lovely I cannot recommend it. While I understand the cultural significance of holidays in different countries, being a hotel that caters to many international cliental they could have been considerate of sleep...again...being a hotel...a place to sleep and eat. We visited during Ramadan and so most locals are up all hours of the night however, doing major construction work at 1 am (literally, drilling and hammering) is not acceptable. They did move our room to a \"quieter\" location however, the construction work could still be heard and the dining room above scraping chairs across the floor from 2-5am was not a great way to care for guests. They are obviously a very conservative Muslim hotel (no alcohol, separate times for men and women to use the pool, etc) and did not show concern for those who may not be of the same faith by planning construction while most people who are not celebrating Ramadan would be sleeping. Dinner wasn't until 10pm and when we were directed to a cafe, where we could order, the food was \"eh\"...not terrible, just not good. The shower, again looked lovely but the mold around the bottom ledge was gross. That was our 3rd visit to the hotel but will be choosing another in the future.

Great location for an early flight from Amman airport. Nice property with an excellent restaurant. Rooms are pretty up to date. The property is a bit of a labyrinth but is clean and most areas are updated. Friendly and helpful staff that can arrange a paid shuttle to the airport. We had to leave at midnight and received a wake-up call on time and the driver was on time. It worked out very well.

I recently stayed at Opal with my teenage kids and had a truly delightful experience. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast the next morning — the buffet was genuinely impressive, offering a wide variety of high-quality, delicious dishes that rival those of a 5-star hotel.
What stood out most was the exceptional room service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. I’d like to extend a special thank you to Usama from maintenance, who kindly helped us tune the TV and brought us water. His humility and eagerness to assist were truly appreciated.

We were given a room that had not even been cleaned. Found a fake finger nail in the bed from the previous customer so the bedding had obviously not been changed. There was old hair on the furniture and mold on the ceiling. Do not use their airport car shuttle service either, it is just an uber they book but they charge you double.

We stayed 2 nights and only had a full day in Jordan to see Petra. This hotel is gorgeous! We wish we could have stayed longer. The family suite had 2 whole rooms with a full bathroom each and a mini fridge. They graciously accommodated with to-go breakfasts which consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich and lots of little breads as well as a juice box👀.

We ordered a non smoking room but the smell was terrible, you can smell smoke everywhere, on the bed, the sofas, the carpet, the curtains. It was awful. We couldn't sleep all night. The smoking culture is insane and they don't get it that not everyone smokes and non-smoking rooms mean they must not smell any smoke inside. There was also a noise outside in the early morning coming from drilling machinery in a construction nearby.

The room was large and well stocked except there were no glasses? In addition, I think the hotel in general is undergoing a refurb as some areas were obviously being worked on and our room had a few issues that needed addressing like paintwork etc. However, overall we really enjoyed our stay and any issues were VERY minor, it is a lovely hotel in a great location for the airport with great restaurants and lovely staff, so would recommend the Opal to anyone and it was very good value for money too.

That only 1 thing that i did not like from this hotel in amman jordan, was that i had reserved and paid for a non-smoking room for 7 nights, and i accommodated in a smoking room/floor, i beleive that all the rooms/floora are allowed smoking inside and outside the rooms/floors.

Overall if is a great hotel, I have never understood the construction concept where there are lips at doorways vs a threshold. Toe killer when stumbling around at night. The staff was great, very accommodating especially after coming in late from an international flight. The rooms were clean, the halls were quiet, the hotel itself is actually quite impressive to pull up to at night all lit up and shining like a diamond. I will stay there again for sure, quick ride to the airport which makes it super convenient for travelers.

It is past 9pm, early in the hot Middle East, for dinner and socializing, but if you have a flight or just want some peace and quiet, forget it.

Personnel are attentive; English is a stretch for some wait staff, but hey, I haven't tried very hard to learn Arabic.

Our stay was just one night, but we wish we could have stayed more. It is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms, great service and food. The rooms were spacious, and the floor our room was on had a large and very nice lobby \"living room\" area when departing the elevators. We only had one problem, and if we stayed more than one night we could have said something--the shower was not very clean. It seemed so out of place because everything else was immaculate. We did ask for a smoke free room, and it may be the switch of the room caused the issue. Would this stop us from staying there again if ever in Amman--no way!! We loved this place!
