Excellent amenities- not much to do near by. Outside there is alot of cigarette butts in the bushes. The walls are a little thin and we were kept up all night by someone’s sleep apnea machine. The breakfast offered is great and the hotel itself is lovely. BUT very expensive.

We had a great stay at the Best Western in Parry Sound. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our visit, which made a big difference. The amenities were solid and the location is fantastic perfect for exploring the area.
The pool could use a bit of attention, as there was some algae along the base in a few areas. Breakfast was okay, nothing standout, but it did the job.
Overall, a positive experience and we would definitely return!

Room is clean and comfortable enough. However when we arrived at 3:15 (check in is 3 pm) we were told to wait while they “checked” to see if the room had been cleaned?? Breakfast is mediocre.

Big issue is that staff appear to have zero understanding or sensitivity re disability accommodation or their obligations as a business. The numerous wheelchair spaces in front were all occupied by cars without permits and staff didn’t seem to care or be inclined to do anything to assist people with disabilities who need them. Accessible room request was not honoured and was told if we wanted it, it would be subject to additional $50-100 fees (no other hotel booked via our frequent Expedia reservations has ever demanded this additional payment for disability accommodation and frankly it’s probably illegal.)

there was a hockey team of teenagers staying there and they’d be yelling and running up and down the halls all evening until midnight. Perhaps the hotel should block off an entire wing or floor to separate the team from other guests.

The linen in room were not fresh, you can smell them as they were not changed for a while. There were multiple visual spots in room that had dirt and dust. This is unacceptable if you are paying a hefty amount for staying a night in such a named hotel. Couldn’t expect this to happen. I raised the concern at the hotel reception and they mentioned that the hotel management will revert.

Breakfast space is so tiny, 1 slow waffle station (clubbed with oats) right after the toast section.. so you are lining up !! And for a long time! Also the eggs refill was barely done- only got 1 egg each for me and my partner when we reached for breakfast at 9 am!
Its the holiday season (thanksgiving weekend) when the prices are high .. like literally over double.. so at the very least you should make sure you have enough food for the guests..
The rooms were clean but again in terms of privacy,poor coz you can literally hear every word spoken, every door opened/ shut in your floor passage so if someone is up at 6.30/7 and talking in your passage. you inevitably will wake up.
So that needs to be managed way better!
Also the pool : from 2-4 feet only- quite tiny. So was the gym.
A poor to average experience! Wouldnt go again.

Conveniently located a block from the airport this brand new hotel has everything you need except a hotel bar.

The suite I was in, had a very large desk, which was wonderful for a working vacation, but would also double as a great table as it had access for chairs on both sides.

I initially could not find the closet because the barn doors for the bathroom cover the closet when they are open, I was a little confused unpacking, but figured it out

The fitness centre is well equipped, the front desk staff are amazing and the complementary breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. I would definitely stay at this hotel again unless I need to be downtown thunder Bay.

I generally love this hotel. I’ve stayed a few times now and it’s beautiful and perfectly located and the staff is so kind and quick to help. However, this time I was on the ground level floor which is next to the lobby. It was extremely loud up until around 1-2am as the lobby is huge and an open concept, the noise echoed down the hall and it was insane. I did not sleep at all those 3 nights I stayed. Whoever designed the hotel should not have put any rooms next to be the lobby. Otherwise, love the hotel, just won’t stay on the ground level ever again.

The staff was lovely and helpful. They all seemed to enjoy their work. Everything is neat and clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I slept for 9 hours which is very rare for me.

When we arrived we found staff ok. Went to our room and tv wasn’t working. Staff member came and couldn’t figure out why. Front desk said Bell was out. Online Bell had no issues in the area. Our suite was ready for us at check-in and the receptionist was friendly and prompt. We found that the room was quiet with only occasional hallway voices. King beds are comfortable and room climate control kept the set temperature perfect. A bathtub sized shower area is easy to access, and a backlit mirror added some extra class. The only thing that I really could complain about, is that the hallway door does not have a door sweep at the bottom of the door. The hallways are very well lit and that light floods the room from under the door. I'm easily awakened by light, which I resolved by putting a rolled towel at the bottom of the door.
Breakfast was great, pretty much most things adults and children would have for breakfast, except bacon. I'd recommend Parry Sound Best Western.

Beautiful bathrooms…accessible shower and pleasant citrus scented shower gel/ shampoo and conditioner. Dog friendly and “convenience” space out back of the property.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Only reason not five star overall.. badly need to upgrade baked goods ( bread, English muffins) and cereal to make the breakfast experience match the rest of the facility!!
