Very clean, friendly stuff, restaurant and cold breakfast.
We had a great stay with our toddler girl. Pretty thr receptionist was helpful. The resultant guy I forgot his maw was amazing.
Beautiful getaway. My daughter loved making waffle at the breakfast. Can’t wait to go again

I got stuck in their driveway because they didn’t plow. Had to pay $130 for a tow to say I would be reimbursed due to me being stuck was their fault. Never received a refund and almost missed a whole day of work. Don’t stay here if you want a great stay. That stay costed me almost double after plow fines

Everything was great except the lack of property management. There was freezing rain which accumulated very bad ice which had very little salt put down once. It was extremely dangerous and caused a fall & shoulder injury when i slipped. I had to leave at 5am due to slip and fall, even though check out was not due intil 11 am

Staff was friendly and the room was clean for an older resort. The courtesy water bottles in the room had already been open, which is weird, so we dumped those out.

The restaurant was good overall, they forgot a couple of the requests we asked for, like a glass of ice etc. They didn't have any white wine, which again is weird.

I think the place is under new owners, or some of the staff is new and still learning.

We did play squash, there are 3 courts, but 2 of them are being used to store stuff. The front wall is painted dark red, makes it hard to track your ball, it really should be painted white like the sides.

The room was in poor condition hallway door was hard to close same as bathroom door,the carpet was very badly worn ,the beds are very high too high for a shorter person,my wife had to stand on one of the crappy chairs to get on the bed,the repairs in the next room ended late and started early around 10 am .
The Dining room was great friendly staff and the food was excellent

This place for me was an ideal location to be able to visit family in the area for holiday weekend and have access to the many things to do outdoors in Seguin. This place was more impressive then I expected for a highway side motel. Room was impeccably clean. Lobby was large and simple - could have used a bit more furniture for sitting and waiting. Breakfast bar was REALLY good again for the price of the room. The courtyards were so cute with firepits and chairs, and I love that they rent ATVs for use. I didn't try the restaurant so can't speak to that but - staff was responsive with a barking dog issue. Big parking lot with lots of room for boats and trailers. And excellent highway access. Definitely would recommend as a place to stay while exploring the area. Lots to do on the old highway 69, where it is located.

It is very old and needs a lot of work. Carpets were very dirty as were the curtains. I had a terrible asthma attack that lasted hours. We could not stay the second night we had booked out they would not refund the night. They did finally agree to refund 50 percent but given the situation we were not happy. The bed was terrible, the pillows ridiculous, the tv sucked and there was zero water pressure in the shower. Was hoping we could submit some photos but doesn’t seem to be an option.

Breakfast is as expected, however, dishes get piled and left too long and items (cream, jam) don’t get replenished quick enough or they advise that they have run out (which is not acceptable in my opinion).

Otherwise, great place to stay!

Hotel was tired, not particularly clean and badly in need of a reno. Grounds were uncared for. Restaurant overpriced with mediocre food and breakfast basic. Bed comfortable, shower good, pool lovely, staff friendly. Good for a one night stopover due to the proximity to the hwy, anyone wanting more should look elsewhere.

A nice Place To Stay

The room was nice, spacious and clean. We stayed one night so we could have a Dinner at the restaurant and not have to drive home. Very nice spot with a lot of outdoor amenities. The Breakfast was a bit sparse, with much less then we are used to. The room had everything we needed, but the Hotel/Inn did not have any ice for drinks. We might come back again to do the same thing sometime in the future.

It was neat they had a tennis court, mini putt, an indoor pool, hot and sauna. But the pool, hot and sauna were all out of order. Breakfast included was ok. The facility could use a paint job and the front desk were unavailable most of the time. I will not be staying there again. It’s unfortunate because the place has potential if some extra care was added.

I imagine under other circumstancwad no electricity es the score would be higher. Unfortunately the first evening there was no electricity (in the area) and no water. When the power returned there was no hot water until the next afternoon. Reception was helpful in suggesting using the gym shower, but they were also working on the problem in that area. Would have been great if my mindset was for camping.

Good bang for the buck

Overall its good bang for the buck considering Muskoka area in Summer time. Per friendly hotel so room smelled pet so maybe not a good choice if you're sensitive for pet smell.
Facility can use reno as it's an old place but good amenities for family.
Breakfast was not so impressive but it did a job.There was a used towel on the bathroom door so that was a bit turn off and TV wasn't working.

First, let me temper this review with a couple caveats. It is an old facility, and a drive up to your room stay.

It is not trying to be a five star stay. The staff was pleasant enough at check in and check out. The lady who worked breakfast our second day was lovely, and recommended a restaurant in the area. The room was acceptable for what I needed: a clean bed, a shower and a small fridge. Wifi was free and had good coverage for most of the trip. I would stay here again if I was alone as I was this trip. The room has had a refresh with an updated bed, artwork and TV, but the carpet was awful, the furniture was old and falling apart in places, the phone wasn't plugged in nor could I reach the outlet to plug it in, and they lost power for several hours in serious heat which also shut off the water supply. We left rather than stay during period because the heat was serious and with no power the pools were closed as well. It might have been nice if they had given a discount or something as an apology for the power outage, but didn't even apologize at checkout. Room for improvement.

Our stay at this motel was a mix of positives and negatives. On the bright side, the property itself is a nice setup. There’s a pool area, a BBQ for guest use, and even an on-site restaurant, which are all great amenities to have.

Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. When we arrived, we had to really push the door open, and it didn’t close or lock properly. The moment we stepped inside, we were hit with a foul smell. We opened the window, but without a screen wasn't able to keep it open due to bugs flying in. WiFi was a no go as we were unable to connect throughout the night we stayed. Breakfast was included but the bare minimum - instant oatmeal, toast/bagels, waffle machine, bananas, apples, and yogurt.

The room and building are very outdated, with chipped paint, worn furniture, and a general need for refreshing. Burn the carpet, apply fresh paint, and complete some basic updates would make a world of a difference.
