Didn’t have time for the free breakfast but it looked the usual continual selection.
Main plus point was that it was a 5 minute walk from Porta Susa the main train stop from the airport 30 minutes away.

The rooms are very clean and the breakfast had a bit of everything, rooms were quiet and newly renovated, it shows! Not very far from the center of town, but if you do t feel like walking it’s around the block from a bus stop and super close to the train station. very convenient placement.

Excellent hotel for the price

I had a great stay at Orchidea during a short passing from Turin. Clean room in a very good condition, very good breakfast and excellent service for one of the best prices in my whole traveling experience from a lot of hotels i have stayed so far! I would definitely stay there again!

Overall, it was an ok choice. The close proximity to the train station (Porta Susa) was very convenient as we arrived in and left Turin by train from Milan. Also, the room was clean. However, our room was very cold because there was a window in the bathroom which is not designed to fully close (no latch), and Turin is very cold in the winter. Also, the heating is centralized and does not run all the time. There was a safe in the room but it was locked shut and therefore unusable. In addition, the website where we made the booking as well as our confirmation email stated that check-in time is 14:00, but when we arrived less than an hour early, they insisted that check-in time was 15:00, so we had to wait much longer than we were expecting to check in.

Convenient and adequate hotel

Walkable location for central Turin and easy to reach with a car (parking space is limited, paid and the space within the courtyard tricky to park in). Rooms and the hotel was clean and perfectly good for a night or two. Soundproofing within the hotel was pretty bad, but it never felt too noisy.
Breakfast is pretty limited, but pastries were fresh and coffee good.

Nice Pit Stop Stay

Stayed here as a pit stop. Chose hotel due to proximity to bus station and train stations. Were a little concerned about cleanliness and service based on reviews. Our stay was clean and comfy. Tried a few words in Italian; both night and morning staff were friendly and spoke some English. Night staff ran up stairs twice when guests pulled 'help me' bathroom string! The room was small by US standards but was clean for us. Shower was quite small but worked! Room was a little noisy with guests adjacent and in hallway but this was little bother. Balcony was a nice touch. Would stay again.

On one occasion after the room had been cleaned, there were no towels left for me and on another, no toilet roll. I found hairs in my bed. Two nights were taken up with coachloads of children arriving and running up and down the corridors, screaming and shouting until 11.30pm. No one from reception bothered to tell them to keep the noise down.

Ronald Reagan was president, Margaret Thatcher was prime minister and Hotel Orchidea had its last refit.

It certainly is a hotel in need of a makeover, but you're getting a reasonable place, good location for a reasonable price. Staff are good, WiFi depends on location, ours was patchy on 3rd floor.

Breakfast, well it's basic and okay but nothing to write home about.

If the price fits then go for it as hotels in Turin are mostly old and expensive.

Me and my wife came to Torino in the first day of our trip to Italy. We booked this hotel because of the attractive price, but we came to regret it very quickly.
First, the location - we thought that the hotel has a good location near the center of Torino. This is not the case. The city center is about 25 minutes walk from the center. It is close to some public transportation, but if you like to walk your cities, it's not a good option for you.
The room was VERY small. I'm a big man (around 186 cm), and I found it very hard to enter the room with my stuff, and to use the bathroom or just to walk around. The room is very old and not well kept, and the bathroom had a strong wired smell.
The price includes breakfast, but don't expect much. While it's true that Italian breakfasts are not great in general, this was the worst we've got in our trip - a very small selection with poor quality.
Overall - this is a very bad value for money. The hotel is cheap compared to other places, but not cheap enough to justify this kind of service.

A comfortable stay, clean and tidy hotel with good sized room and a balcony. A good base from which to explore Turin, 5min walk to the station and walking distance to sights. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. WiFi only worked intermittently during my stay but this wasn't a problem for me.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Porta Susa (5 minutes walking). Bus 57 to the city center stops around the corner. Or walk 20 -- 30 minutes. Check-in process is efficient and professional. Desk staff was always pleasant and efficient. (Most speak some English.) Rooms are small and our room quickly because stuffy if we did not put on the AC. If you are claustrophobic, watch out for the tiny shower stall. Only 1 usable electrical outlet in our room. The double bed was comfortably firm and not lumpy. WiFi is free, but the signal is not always adequate and sometimes we had difficulties maintaining a connection. An \"Italian breakfast\" is included -- croissants, juice, coffee, tea. It is adequate -- but some fresh fruit or boiled eggs would also be nice.

A nice compromise for folks on a budget

I stayed a couple of times here over the course of a week or so. In both cases I was happy with the room, though the second time I stayed the room I had was significantly nicer than the first. The staff was friendly, they mostly spoke english, and the location was great.

La camera era pulitissima, curata e molto confortevole, perfetta per riposarsi dopo una giornata intensa. Il personale è stato estremamente gentile, disponibile e accogliente, sempre pronto ad aiutare con un sorriso.
Abbiamo apprezzato molto l’atmosfera tranquilla, la professionalità dello staff e la sensazione di sentirsi davvero benvenuti.

La struttura non è recente, ma i bagni sono ben tenuti, materassi e cuscini comodi. Ottimo il personale. Colazione a bouffet varia ed abbondante. Vicinissimo a metro e a fermate di autibus e tram. Prezzo conveniente 104€ per una quadrupla, letto matrimoniale e letto a castello per i bambini. Tv, aria condizionata ed asciugacapelli funzionanti. Ottima pizzeria a 50 metri.

A pochi passi dalla stazione di porta Susa questo hotel è stato davvero perfetto: abbiamo usufruito di una camera appena ristrutturata bagno grande e spazioso. Personale davvero gentile mi hanno aiutato anche offrendo del cibo poiché tornato tardi da lavoro colazione buona con cappuccinine caffè davvero buoni( no cialde)insomma consigliatissimo

Ottima soluzione per visitare al meglio la città. Non distante dal centro, la struttura risulta oltretutto ben collegata grazie a vari mezzi pubblici le cui fermate sono situate a pochi metri dall'hotel. La zona in cui è ubicato è risultata tranquilla e decisamente silenziosa. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, ci hanno servito la colazione anche una mezz'ora dopo l'orario stabilito. Il bagno è un pò piccolo,ma almeno è in camera, particolare non trascurabile visto che molte strutture della zona offrono solamente bagni in comune.Pulizie ottime. L'unica pecca riscontrata è che in 3 giorni di soggiorno non sono mai riuscito ad usufruire della cassaforte in camera per un qualche problema tecnico mai risolto. In considerazione del rapporto qualità-prezzo si è rilevato essere una ottima soluzione e, vista l'esperienza complessivamente positiva,riengo decisamente di consigliarlo.

Struttura in una posizione comodissima per arrivare alla stazione di Torino Porta Susa. Distanza dal centro minima e affrontabile senza prendere i mezzi pubblici (30 minuti ca a piedi).
Personale dell’hotel molto cortese e attento alle richieste dei clienti.
La camera spaziosa, il materasso comodissimo; l’unica cosa forse un po’ “negativa”, è la tv forse un po’ troppo piccola e il bagno, anch’esso un po’ piccolino.
Comunque consiglio vivamente questa struttura.

Vicinissimo alla stazione di Porta Susa e comodo per andare in centro (una ventina di minuti a piedi).
Unica cosa non buonissima, il bagno piccolo e con il bidet inutilizzabile. Ma il prezzo della stanza è bassissimo, quindi, per me, è andata bene lo stesso.

Hotel blisko dworca Porta Susa, zabytków,restauracji i sklepów.Pokoje bardzo czyste,ale łóżko podwójne to dwa łóżka przysunięte-rozsuwały się!!!!Łazienka bez kabiny prysznicowej więc po kąpieli wszystko było mokre.Cienkie ściany więc słychać dokładnie o czym rozmawiają sąsiedzi i nie tylko...

Très bon accueil dans une structure vieillissante. Les sanitaires ont été refaits assez sommairement. La décoration est d'un goût discutable et le mobilier à bon marché. Cela donne une impression générale tout à fait kitsch. Le linge est propre et changé tous les jours. La WiFi est plutôt faible. C'est très bien chauffé et relativement propre.
Le petit-déjeuner est très très frugal : un croissant et un jus de fruits à base d'extraits.
Le personnel est aimable et serviable.
Gros avantage : arrêt de bus très proche qui mène au centre de Turin et surtout la gare de Porta Susa à quelques pas où l'on peut aussi accéder à la ligne du métro.
