SHOCKING BREACH OF THE NORMS

We arrived after midnight and found that our room - which we had already paid for - had been given away.

Yes, we had called at 1030 pm to say we would be in after midnight and -- even so --our room had been given away . I was in shock. I was also hobbling on a crutch, having just come from the ER. Staff were apologetic and booked us a room elsewhere. But they didnt even offer to pay for our cab to the new place, or help with our 5 pieces of luggage.

Dissapointed! Not given the room that was booked!

Extremely dissapointed at check-in! Given a standard room instead of superior room. The hassles of having to unpack and then repack to go to the superior room the next day for a 2day stay! Very inconvenient!
Was told it was fully booked! Lousy excuse as we booked our superior room more than 3 months ago! No other discount given except for a lower charge for the standard room!

Giving a 3 star as breakfast selection was good and Lilian at reception was quite helpful the 2nd day.

Fantastic hotel in Bodo. We had a gorgeous room overlooking the harbour. Note that the room was small, but clean and trendy. Included breakfast was incredible. I did have to request room service and was told it needed to be requested at least one day in advance—I think this was more of a cultural difference than lack of attention

Horrible Policies - Had no other choice....

Having a booked hiking trip in the Lofoten Islands, it ended in Bodo so we wanted to spend a night there to enjoy see and enjoy the city before returning to Oslo.

What should have been a simple one night stay unfortunately became tarnished by the hotels pathetic policies that weekend. Now to be fair, they were not the only hotel chain doing this, but it's a scam and money grab none the less...it should be illegal.

What is that you ask?
We were forced to book a room for 2 nights at an extra cost of 2500 NOK (about $350CDN)!!!

If you tried to book a single night there was no availability, but if you chose multiple nights suddenly there was! Our hiking guide was able to find out that there was a music festival and target competition happening, and that the hotels seemed to be ripping off visitors to the city by forcing multiple night stays.

With no other choice, and the hotel not responding to my requests for a single night stay, there was no other option but have to pay their ransom in order to have somewhere to stay.

Once at the hotel, the front desk staff were less than helpful, and obviously did not give a crap about the issue.

So with that said, you can understand that I'll never stay with Quality Hotels again, anywhere. And make sure that every single person I know knows that they rip their customers off.

Comfortable Hotel with Very Helpful Staff

A great hotel to stay for the night between flight and ferry to Lofoten. If you're energetic and travelling light you can walk from the airport and to the ferry terminal.
My luggage went missing due to a missed flight connection in Oslo and the receptionist was so helpful pointing me to shops where I could buy the essentials I needed and helping find a phone charger as my adaptor was in the errant case. Thank you!
The bed and room were very comfortable. I had been upgraded and had a super floor ceiling view of the bay. Great breakfast too.
