I was charged $75 AED for VAT at the check in despite my booking was completely paid via expedia.

I went to the swimming pool once, the staff member told me each person can only use two towels. I was swimming for a while, then sunbathing and went for another swim... they expected you to use the same wet towel.

I asked for cutlery in my room but I was advised there will be a charge per night for having cutlery.

In my last day I asked for take away container to pack my breakfast. They refused and advised it is not possible.

I won't go back there. It did not worth the price.

Very unprofessional front end staff. Seems like the air ducts in the millenium lake view apartments had smells from some bird droppings that they were trying to get it cleaned. They had one wing done. But the front end staff was very sneakily trying to push their customers on the wing that was not done. I had to complain and then they moved me to the side facing the lake which was what I had origingally booked (yet another bad faith work by the front end staff). The rooms are also dated particularly the bathrooms. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star, especially their staff.

So, The Gym cardio Life Fitness equipment is outdated - 3 treadmills only, The one I was using I experienced touchscreen problems, 1 was \"out of order\" and another a guy came in to use the other one and the noise from the belt just unbelievable.
Not sure about the bikes.
Housekeeping and maintenance to rooms very slow.

The TVs are old, small screen, bad colors and bad resolution. The safe box was closed and the passcode is unknown and the service didn’t fix it in spite of the everyday’s notifications I made along my four nights stay at the hotel.

The Concierge guy Athman always smiling and friendly, the new idea of having a shuttle bus to Marina came very handy however its a bitt to early. Although the staff is very friendly, the lack competency with regards to overall with customer service.
Housekeeping staff should be trained to do a better job. Toilets where nit clean, fridge contained spoiled food from previous guest.
Trash and used plates and cutlery of the guests were was left in the hallway although housekeeping staff had seen it and simply ignored it.

This hotel is the best around the Green Community. It's convenient, very clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are very well appointed and large. And the wifi is fast too. The hotel offers a copious and varied breakfast and there's a restaurant as well as a big bar upstairs. In addition, other restaurants are available in the shopping centre.
It won't take much to make this hotel into a great hotel by improving the public areas which are uninteresting. And for goodness sake, ditch the awful Chinese paintings everywhere, get a proper interior designer to enhance the place and bingo! It would turn good to great. Tip: ask for a lake-view room and you may get an upgrade free.

The staff were outstanding. Chef Shawn made a special pizza for our friends children and he made us several different meals that were fabulous. Anac our host was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. All the staff addressed us by our names. The housekeeping staff made sure we had plenty of water, coffee and bathroom supplies. We brought two groups of our friends over for evening meals and drinks. The restrant and bar staff were outstanding. The service was so good we extended our stay four additional days and booked a room for our son.

Parking lot was extremely dark when we arrived, like I mean the parking lot has no lights whatsoever on. when we inquired about it were told “sorry for the inconvenience”. This is a major safety issue. Room was not up to Marriott standard, carpet had red stains in multiple places. Curtains were soiled and need to be replaced.

This is the 4th time I have stopped here and everyone is very friendly right across the hotel.
Rooms are large, well equipped and cleaned to a high standard.
Location is great for me as I have friends out on GCS but maybe not so convenient if you want to be in the centre of things.
The Neighborhood restaurant has a great selection of food plus a happy hour every day!
The pool area is generally quiet with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas plus attentive staff.
The reception area is cool and calm and the front of house staff and concierge extremely friendly and helpful.
My only gripes and they are minor are that I always have trouble with the tv in the room and there are no plug sockets by the bed!
Overall this is a great hotel for the money and I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is located next to a small mall which has the supermarket and many restaurants also the hotel offers a free transfer to 2 malls. ( battuta and Emirate mall ) , sadly not Dubai mall , but it is reachable by metro from emirate mall.

The breakfast was nice, maybe a bit small for some.

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed and it was just as great as the first time.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has great amenities and the pool area is generally quiet. Only criticism I’d make is that while I was there only 4 parasols were available as the others were broken which resulted in a bit of stealth planning to secure one!
I stay here as it’s close to friends I have living in the area.

The hotel front desk was very helpful and clear with reservation arrangements. We felt very welcome and the atmosphere was positive and alive. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space with storage, desk and arm chair with foot stool. Mini-bar was made available in the room if we wanted to use it. The front desk was very helpful when we requested an extra blanket and were very prompt to bring it to our room. Nice hotel with the renovations and the included breakfast buffet was decent as well.

Average. Not as described - there is not a separate shower, but instead an extremely narrow and uncomfortable bathtub with a showerhead.
The hotel staff took time to explain that all rooms were like this - and weren't helpful along the way.
To begin with, I was even checked in to a room with a parking lot view, having booked a city view room - it's evident that if you book through Hotels.com, they offer a lower preference.

In comparison to the many other hotels in Dubai, I'd definitely go for other locations in future.

We were visiting family resident in Dubai and the hotel is located close to where they are living. Excellent hotel which has direct access to a small shopping mall. The hotel is located in a residential area in the suburbs and not really suitable for people wishing to spend their time in downtown Dubai or on the coast - extensive travel required. However for those who want to relax around the pool and enjoy the restaurants the hotel is ideal. The hotel is busy at the weekend when the local expats visit with children for the brunch but it is not a clubbing scene.
The front desk manager, Quintas, is worthy of a mention for his exceptional customer service.

Beautiful facilities, exceptional service in the restaurant. Front desk service needs improvement. Was kept waiting at the lobby to check in for over 4hrs but yet other guests were checking in. Felt is was discrimination. The manager was quick to apologize after i complained but the same discrimination happened again the following day. Specific races are given first priority.

Overall a good hotel if your renting a car..

The positives: Pleasant decor, friendly staff. The negatives: (i) Had to wait approx 40 minutes for my room to be ready (ii) The reception did not check that I already paid for my stay (via hotels.com) and charged me again on check-out (I have been informed I will receive a refund within 7 - 10 working days) (iii) The location of the hotel is around a 30 min drive outside the main city. Hence, if you do decide to stay here and make frequent trips down town, rent a car to avoid hefty taxi fares. Overall, the hotel was a joy to stay in, the location was fine for us however I was disappointed by the negatives already mentioned

Fantastic Hotel!

I had a really, really great time staying in the hotel with all the facilities near by (swimming pool, restaurants , mall etc...) and also the room service and staff were absolutely fantastic! Very good quality hotel - especially the price. There is a bit of a discount in price since the hotel is not near the densely developed areas like The Marina, The Palm, or The Creek areas of Dubai.

In room interiors are high quality construction and very pleasing. It is quiet and easy to get some good rest.

You do need a rental car to get around because of the distances.

The hotel facifilties are very good and what one would expect from the Marriott brand name. The staff were all very helpful.

There is also a decent small shopping mall connected to the hotel - so you can go get a bit to eat or shop for something that you might have left at home - very convenient.

Also there are tons of free parking available at the hotel if you do rent a car. It is about a 30 min drive to the airport.

This hotel is very far from city center and shopping malls. Hotel does offer drop to Mall of Emirates and to one sea beach. Hotel is not comfortable for families with small children. Rooms are very small and comfort factor is low. Restaurant menu is very limited. I booked for room with breakfast and dinner but hotel staff repeatedly tried to bill the same to me. However when I showed the Expedia booking details they removed the breakfast and dinner charges from bill. Value for money is low for this hotel and should be avoided if you are planning your holidays here. You should look to better hotels in same price. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only good part is Pine Grill restaurant in the hotel. Staff here try their best to serve you with their limited capability. Menu items are limited here but they always try to make something to your taste when requested for.
