It was an amazing stay here during our trip. Staff at the desk and housekeeping were warm and welcoming. Breakfast had good variety with fresh healthy options. Rooms were comfortable.
Only negative was a loud music from a Latin night by the pool on Saturday till 3pm which we didn’t know about and thus was impossible to sleep till it was over. Staff did offer change of room but it was not worth the hassle past midnight.
And thank you for my birthday cake on the day ☺️

I am a frequent traveller to Avani. Stayed here over 50 nights. Unfortunately this time I had an awkward incident when one of the staff at the reception showed a terrible level of lack of basic knowledge related to stay-in guests. I had my nephew stay over for a couple of nights and while checking him in the receptionist claimed totally meaningless false information that there is a difference between single and double occupancy and refused to register him as a guest but rather a visitor. Although I complained to a senior the next day and he was super apologetic. The very next day while I was in the pool a security lady approached me and questioned why my nephew is using the pool which left me super frustrated and embarrassed. The fact the Avani staff lack basic knowledge related to check in was shocking and appalling in all honesty

Rated 4 stars overall as the staff member on reception who greeted us upon arrival was unfortunately not welcoming and was dismissive. It took a lot of prompting just to get a response. It seemed apparent that he didn't like being asked questions nor did he want to be at the reception desk which we understand can be stressful at times of high traffic. The questions asked were basic ones around hotel services on offer, breakfast availability (which was part of our booking). Each time we saw this staff member his behaviour didnt change even when he made eye contact and we greeted him- it wasn't returned. The overall check-in experience was pretty poor because of this. It's important to have staff greet travellers appropriately and share information with them in a welcoming and warm way, especially those who've travelled so far- it can make all the difference.

On the contrary, the rest of the staff including concierge and door staff, especially Sundeep Singh, were most helpful, respectful, and went out of their way to support with anything with a warm smile. The other ladies and another tall man at the reception desks were also very welcoming and said hello/Good Morning etc.

The bathrooms in the lobby were a bit with no tissue one cubicle. The rooms were kept spotless, and the female cleaning staff member was very kind, and helpful. The restaurant was nice with a basic range of items. Not many pure vegetarian options as hot meals for the price, but pastries were delicious.

You have to time your stay.

My daughters did get a few bites on their legs from bugs but I can't say for sure it was the room. I too got them, but the sheets were changed as soonbas we requested.

Amazing hotel at excellent location

Breakfast buffet had Indian food along with huge variety of Western and local cuisine. Food is yummy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. Connectivity via ibn battuta bus and metro station is convenient and fast for travelling around Dubai. Had a great stay and highly recommend.

We very much liked the location everything we wanted and need was easily accessible. The hotel was very clean and smelt wonderful, the staff were very accommodating and helpful. My only disappointment was that there was no mini fridge in room like you have in most hotel rooms. We overcame that. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was so exhausted and a guy was complaining at the check-in. Because I had to wait a long, he upgraded my room and gave me a discounted breakfast. This sort of customer service will make me return. He went above and beyond. I was able to rest well and eat well. The room was amazingly comfortable and all customer service interactions exceeded my expectations.

It’s a lovely 4 star hotel with clean comfortable rooms and great pool area. Transportation links and a huge mall next door to the property adds a significant value.

My only recommendation, make the B’fast buffet appealing. It was my only disappointment. I would certainly stay here again.

Friendly&kind staff (Channa and Sabry ).

The staff from security he is ( Sabry ) was so friendly with Isabella, they are all so helpful , from the pool bar and restaurant “Channa” is the best very professional and he knows how to take good care of guest . The “lifeguard “ hard working people under the sun. Saniya , is very helpful to look for Isabella’s lost stuff toys.
(Except for One of the manager restaurant) who’s on duty - 21st August 2024 (night time ) was a little arrogant and un-considerate.
But overall : I definitely 100% recommended Avani .

The room was a little tired and needs a proper fridge. Several staines in the bath but forthey have it as a wet area with a seperate shower. The food wasnt great.

Next to a Metro, bus station and a large shopping centre with plenty of food options and a great sports bar. Nice pool area with large screen. Overall good value for money with room for a little improvement

Brilliant stay (with a small kicker)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ivani Ibn Battutta. Check in (at 0600 having arrived 9 hrs late) was smooth. Room was clean, tidy and well proportioned. Bathroom was spotless with plenty towels, etc. Room had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory with plenty choice. Staff were all friendly and helpful enough. Pool and bar area is very nice. Located across the road from Ibn Battutta metro station so very handy for getting around. Next door to mall which has a food court for earring requirements if not using hotel. Hotel in general was very quiet - and here’s the kicker - the pool party on a Saturday night and finishing at 0315 is pretty annoying. Not sure there’s a need for the music - which wasn’t great - to be so loud. I’d say that this stay for me was 9/10 but dropped to an 8/10 purely down to that.
All said I’d recommend the hotel for access, value for money, facilities and staff.

- near ibn Battuta mall
- near bus and metro station

Negatives:
- the hotel condition is bad
- bathroom and toilet seat in the room.
- room smell is bad, may be because of the carpet/ ac, because of that they put strong and annoying scent in the corridors
- refrigerator is bad, because of that our food is ruined
- we found insects in the room (cockroache) comes from drawers.
- towels smells very bad
- staff moral is low

Finally, it was the worst hotel we checked in.

My stay was not so good.
There was a salsa party at the hotel pool Saturday night which was so loud everyone in the hotel had no choice but to listen. It didn't end until 3am!!
The hotel was at full capacity, so I found the staff quite blunt and rude at times, particularly when calling reception.

I had a bad service. Every morning I would need to ring the staff to get sugar and coffee and it would come half an hour later. The aircon would no work at most times. The shower was not working properly either. I would like a refund please. This was a waste of my money.

This hotel is excellent in so many ways - but there is one huge issue. On Thursdays there is loud music, and on Fridays live salsa with music that is deafeningly loud. If you had this in the U.K., it would be closed at 10pm.
I am not a grandad going to bed at 8pm, but this was absolutely ridiculous. No sleep until 4am on both nights. All the positives of the hotel are ruined because of this, I reported it at the time and was informed I would hear back in response and heard nothing. Will be taking it up with Expedia

Not so amazing, but nevertheless reasonable value for money. Breakfast was quite disappointing. Staff attitude and friendliness nothing to talk about. The most positive thing for us was the location - just besides Ibn Battuta Mall.
So if someone is looking to do a bit of shopping, then this is quite the place to stay.
