We loved the area, and the hotel is modern and clean. The reception and room staff were very friendly and helpful.
The prices have gone up a lot since last November unfortunately, and breakfast was not included in the new higher rate.
Major drawback was that the water in the shower and bath never got hot, despite telling the reception staff.
The door men who are outside the hotel are not particularly friendly, unlike the lovely staff in the reception area, who were always happy to help

The property is close to the beach weed some type of walking around 10 minutes or 15 minutes walking. He has a nightclub in the first floor but you can go to blah blah which is the best place to dance.

Great hotel and well located. Was good value as it is 5 minutes walk to metro and only 10-12 minutes to Jbr. You can also take a nice walk around the marina at the back of the hotel (3 minutes), and walk to one of the restaurants there viewing all of the yaughts. The shower temperature gets hot very quickly, but adjusting it to right and waiting a bit whilst the temperature normalises works fine. Only other minor complaint is that I couldn’t turn bedside lights off with removing the key card from power slot. But I’m still impressed with hotel for great location and value

Ok, but better to find something else if you can

Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, pillows a little hard. The main issue was that the temperature of the water in the shower ranged up and down on a constant basis. I checked with my colleague staying on another floor and he had the same issue, so it seemed to be hotel-wide. Breakfast wasn't the best either. Hotel is OK but its in desperate need of a re-furb.

service was terrible i did not get a room until 6pm and i was told for nearly 2 hours in 5 mins you will have a room. the water in the hotel is also brown and black. the hotel is run down and customer service levels are 0. The reception staff do not care and just leave you standing there while they talk to their friends.

Good stay at Marina Byblos

Wonderful hotel. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, especially at front desk and the sky bar. Location is great, a short walk to the marina or to the metro in the other direction. I particularly enjoy the atmosphere of the pool and sky bar. Of course my stay was early March so temps were comfortable.

We have stayed here before as excellent price for our 9 night stay and a good location in the marina. This time our room was not as good, the over head shower did not work! The room service each day the minimum was done ie one day no towels changed and did not empty bins and refill the tea coffee other day was fine?? Not enough umbrellas around the pool only three! Ask manager why and he said that’s all the have but how can they expect you to sit around a pool when it is 38 degree with no shade ? Bed sheet ripped.

WORST HOTEL EVER!

If you want to spend in the worst hotel in your life and also spend the worst nights of your life, this hotel is a good choice.
I couldn’t sleep not even one hour due to to the club noise, and party people in the hotel.
The staff was very rude, no solutions were given, and they were making fun of the situation. This hotel is the worst one i have ever tried, and I will definitely not stay there again, or in any other byblos around the world. TERRIBLE

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The thing is though, there are indeed 3-4 clubs in the hotel itself which are loud and play music all night. This means that some guests would have noisy rooms. At first I had a noisy room on the forth floor and in the night I was woken up by drunk guests yelling at each other. I asked to change my room and the second one was fantastic. It was quiet and spacious with lovely view over the marina. So, if you are sensitive to noise, def ask for a quiet room. The personnel seemed chaotic on the phone but once I was there in person, they were very helpful.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at . The staff are beyond rude & made our stay difficult to enjoy. They behave like security guards not hotel staff . I asked for ice bought to our room & then was told I would have to pay, strange for ice but ok . They wouldn’t let me sign for it & I had to pay $4 for ice in cash when it was delivered. Room keys didn’t work for the first 4 days & we had to get someone to open our door each time . No hot water for the first 2 days . Then we discovered you have to turn the hot water on 15 minutes before you want a shower . Overall a terrible experience with the worst staff I have come across in the hotel industry.

Terrible horrible and ridiculous hotel

Where do I start?
Do not go here, avoid this at all costs. The service, the food, the attitude of the staff. The owners are rude and slimy, jumping on anything that moves. The food is terrible, the service is slow and the place smells.

Service: Extremely poor front office staff and services. Staff gets an excuse not to give you the expected service to guests, very unacceptable. They are out of hospitality no welcome, very rude and they keep us 3 hours hour next to reception because they couldn't find our booking.

Rooms: The light of the rooms is very poor. The pillows are very uncomfortable. Rooms are smelly, looks old, and no maintenance at all. They have very noisy bars on the first floor. I couldn’t sleep on the 7th floor. The sound was with deep low bass. You can feel it with all your body when try to feel in sleep. Room amenities not working; kettle replaced trice, lamps are blinking, electricity tripped twice, shower broken, a/c not cooling and rumbling motor sound vibrating to your headboard which shakes you freakin till kingdom come. Towels were smelling bad. Water in the shower was ridiculously weak and cold or extremely hot.

As a short of words; Terrible horrible and ridiculous hotel. I do not recommend it at all

Front desk staff was terribly uninformed about the hotel's amenities. Sad.

Also disappointed that hotel cannot provide power conversion adapters for electric/electronic devices.

Notified on arrival of maintenance problem causing bath water to run yellow-brownish color. This is unacceptable. Hotel management NEEDS to notify potential guests BEFORE booking of such a revolting disgusting problem.

That said, this older hotel was clean and well-maintained otherwise. Room comfort was good, but lacks modern fittings like USB connections.

Spa service was a bright spot. Tai Chi Spa has a good staff.

Lots of dining options.

Great location, walking distance to JBR and metro.

Front desk ladies were always friendly. When I booked multiple extensions they were able to keep me in the same room. Luggage attendant did me a HUGE favor and was held my bag until I checked in again a couple days later. I really appreciated that!

Cleaning staff had smiles on their face and always asked me if I was okay with towels and water.

Your stay comes with free a drink at the bar/resturant located in the same building

Only negative I can think of was that the hallways are smoky.

Fantastic views of the marina, and clean, spacious luxury rooms. Can speak for the other facilities such as pools etc as I didn’t go, or to the restaurants. But from what I did experience I was very happy. Thanks again.

Check in is complicated, even we prepaid for the hotel, they requested a large credit card hold, that would be released in 5-14 days. Stayed an extra night, and they treated it as a new reservation, and new payment and credit hold back.

Nice hotel close to the beach. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is close to the Metro. Only sad but about the hotel is the breakfast service; most hotels in the area offer chef that offer omelette services while you wait. For some reason this hotel does offer this but it’s done in the back room. Basically the breakfast offering could be better.

Albeit the hotel is super and staffs are super friendly.

A good hotel to explore Dubai from and staff went to great lengths to ensure a pleasant stay. The roof top pool area although a bit compact, was good and made very friendly by the pool bar supervisor Taraq who was a gem. All in all a very pleasant and good value experience and we will be back

Good hotel but pool needs to be heated in January.

The hotel was good but some areas need improving. I went for a sauna at 10.40 a.m. and there was no soap in the shower and the sauna wasn't really hot with a temperature less than 70 degrees. The swimming pool was cold although advertised as a heated one.

Good location to access marina mall and other spots along Jumeirah beach, decent food and entertainment options within the hotel, rooftop pool is quite good although not the best view you can get from Dubai as the hotel is surrounded by other taller buildings. The spa and gym are quite basic and the tv in the room had really bad signal.

Great location in the Marina, walking distance to the mall and nearby metro and tram stations. Hotel is well kept with clean comfy rooms. If you like a good nights sleep request a room on a higher floor as otherwise you may be disturbed by some noise from the hotel bars.

Only blemish was that the lights in my bathroom didn't work and after calling nobody came to address it. I only tried once since I wanted to sleep.

I loved that despite rocking up early (0930!) they already had a room available and didn't make a big deal about offering it to me

Great affordable hotel Dubai Marina

Hip hotel with eclectic mix of travelers, you will see traditional Arabs in the lobby and also two nightclubs. Requires passports of all travelers and has a good policy to keep hookers out of the hotel. Staff is helpful, rooms are clean and fresh. Great value in Dubai Marina.

Great clean friendly Dubai Marina Hotel

Prime Dubai Marina area. There are several nightclubs and restaurants in the hotel, its in a prime location, the rooms are very clean and well-equipped, views are nice, JBR Walk is five minutes away. Pearl the front desk agent was very kind and accommodating when my reservation was not yet sent to hotel, George the night manager is very friendly and kind and wifi is free in lobby but he will give you a free wifi code. Moved from Le Royal Meridien hotel because it smelled and too much construction going on, this hotel was half the price and just as nice. Rooms are very clean and no smell, beds and pillows very comfortable, very modern hotel with remote control lights, fixtures, and AC. Go go dancer bar downstairs and close to nightlife, shopping.

You get what you pay for!

I wasn't too pleased with this hotel. I live in dubai and I've been to the bars and clubs in this place which are quite nice. I selected to stay here because of the price and I need to do some work in Jebel Ali which is very close. At check in I was informed that they only offered complimentary WiFi in the lobby and that it would cost 90 AED per day/per device. A hotel that charges guest for WiFi in 2016 is just absurd! The bathroom in the room seemed cheaply put together. No shower pressure, leaks everywhere, and ceiling lights falling apart. I was also offended at the iftar buffet when I was told I was not allowed to make myself a plate 5 minutes before everyone was supposed to break their fast for Ramadan. this is just ridiculous! All and all, this hotel is fairly nice, it just needs better management to fine tune the little details.
