It's still an excellent hotel - I like it because it's quiet, big, sporty and wide open. It's also on the beach so it's breezy which is great during the hot months.

The price should be reduced to reflect the age of the hotel.

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The shuttle to the malls was a nice bonus too. 2 things I think could be better would be free water, or refill stations for our own bottles. More attention to garbage clean up on the beach, overall it didn't effect my stay at all but I appreciate when hotels go above and beyond to help remove plastic.

Extremely noisy from loud constant banging in the courtyard at all hour thru the night from event setup and tear down. Didn't sleep. Marina nightclub loud music till 3am and bright lights in window from club and event setup. Limited restaurants available. Room service menu very limited.

Swimming pool was closed. Too much noise for the maintenance work on the pool. Old hotel. This information should’ve been mentioned clearly before confirming the booking specifically with their non refundable cancellation policy. Not flexible at all.

The “all inclusive” option on hotels.com turned out to be the Premium All Inclusive plan which is good value for an all inclusive because the food and drinks you get is the same as other people who are paying for it. A bit limited in the restaurant options that’s actually all inclusive but it’s not bad if you go to all of them (some are a bit far, eg. you need to book a shuttle to get to).
The all inclusive tiering is really complicated but if you get the premium it’s pretty good, you can go almost anywhere and have a full meal&drinks.

I had a disappointing check-in experience at the hotel. As an Expedia gold member, I was expecting to receive an upgrade, subject to availability. Surprisingly, there was an available upgrade, but the hotel staff informed me that I needed to be a gold member with their specific program. I requested, at the very least, a room with a view, highlighting my status as an Expedia gold member. However, the receptionist signed me up for their membership, even though I already had a membership with Expedia. The check-in process was frustratingly slow, with an excessive amount of paperwork to sign.
While the hotel itself was decent, I believe there is room for improvement in their services. They should be more accommodating to guests who come from different platforms with various memberships. It's disheartening that, despite being a loyal Expedia member since 2010, I was treated in such a manner simply because I didn't make a direct reservation with the hotel.

Weekend end getaway. Older hotel and quite secluded. Hotel breakfast buffet was good but the evening buffet was overpriced and not of a good quality with limited choices. Bed was comfortable. Beach was very nice but would not stay again. Views from their beach was basically of a industrial shipping port. Overall not what was expected from the hotels write ups.

We travelled with a baby and there was a travel cot provided however there was no mattress in this cot so the baby was basically sleeping on the floor within a cot which wasn't so comfortable for him. The room is exceptionally small with luggage and a stroller as well as a cot too.
Food in the sports bar was 1 star at best... Which was so disappointing. Same for the kids food in captains bar. The buffet however was amazing for breakfast and dinner... Zero complaints and super service from omkar and team.

Lovely hotel, but the location wise isn't the best as it's too far from Dubai. Excellent staff, but the cutleries smelled like eggs that my husband and I hated. We stayed over for five days, and every day we had the same problem with the cutleries. I wouldn't say the food tasted good, but overall the staff were very polite.

We were a little disappointed to arrive and be put up in the Palm Tree Court accommodation rather than the JA Beach Hotel. Due to COVID the Beach Hotel has been closed so access was only available within the Resort to Captains Beach Bar and the Sports Cafe. Might have been good to know this in advance as it did limit options but gave up say food, service in both was first class. We would definitely reccomend this resort although won’t return ourselves as it’s so remote and a good 20-30 minute taxi journey to anywhere.

I have booked JA beach hotel, but on check-in I was told it is closed and got relocated to Palm Court. Which is a run down hotel that I never wanted to stay! I have checked-in with the family (2kids). Since our arrival was at 20.00 we went straight for the dinner. Once reached the room at 21.00 we have discovered that it is on the second floor with no elevator! And there is no chance to get baby stroller upstairs! Making it impossible for my wife to manage the things alone. But this was not the end, there were no baby beds set up in the room! Despite the booking info had all kids logged and on check-in staff saw all kids and collected their IDs. Worst experience ever! And I had a race starting at 5a.m. So all this mess was totally not needed. Had to cancel the further stay and left hotel in the morning.

Staff were excellent and well informed. Partner is a coeiliac and obviously nervous on gluten contamination. Not only were the staff all completely clued up, the chef came out twice to fully explain how the food was prepared.
Only downside was the sports facilities, specifically the sailing. Hobie Cat for rental was ill-equipped and not fit for rent. Think this facility was a sub-contract business and not directly connected to the hotel.

JA is a nice resort and lovely beach but rooms are quite small and very small balconies. Staff excellent. Shooters is a shuttle bus ride away but worth it.

They even change the elevator’s mat 3 times a day to greeting you with “good morning, good afternoon and good night” ! Lots of pools spreaded in a beautiful garden with several waterfalls and the beach is also very clean, with comfortable sun lounge chairs. Hotel perfectly clean inside and outside. The personal often anticipated my requests, very friendly yet discreet, polite and gentle like only East Asian are. Several restaurants with different cuisine. The bedroom was perfect as well, exactly like the picture, very elegant, comfortable and clean. The bed and beddings are 1st quality.... the only problem? Holidays to short!!!
