The hotel is outdated with bathrooms being in a die state, yellow stained tiles, dirty and old inter tiles sealing finish, rusty shelf’s .. the bathroom is discussing and is not for 5 start RITZ Hotel for sure
A 2-3 sta hotel have better bathrooms
I can not give more that 1 star although unfortunately this won’t qualify for ever 1 star

Excellent Trip (with caveat)

This is a tricky review. I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton from 19-24th Sept 2025. On arrival I was told there was renovation work on the beach by the Dubai Government and it was short notice. That may be true but I’m certain they had enough notice to inform me ahead of time but I suspect they didn’t because they knew it would be off-putting so they waited until I arrived. I heard them telling the same thing to guests checking in on the 24th and the work had been going on many days already so that seems to confirm they were waiting for guests to arrive before informing them. This was my first visit to the Ritz-Carlton and I’d been looking forward to it for months. Sadly the renovation work on the beach had significant impact to my enjoyment of the holiday. It’s was essentially a construction site on the beach with barriers separating sun loungers and sea and guests having to walk through a small gap and across large tyre tracks to get to the sea. Sections of the beach were restricted with the parts that were open not in the best condition with a white scum on the service and some debris and plastic. I’ve no doubt this is temporary due to the ongoing work but it was still very frustrating and disappointing. I feel bad for the Ritz-Carlton as it is the Government and not RC’s fault but when you’re paying a good amount of money for a 5 star holiday it left me feeling deflated.

This hotel is beautiful. They have alot of staff to help with your baggage or if you need transportation. They also have security. This made me feel safe. The front desk reception was very friendly especially Suman. I thoroughly enjoyed my room. It was spacious and the bed and bedding was very clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Also please check out the activities especially the Quad bike ride in the dunes in the desert. I give my vacation in Dubai a 10

The best among the best. My wife and I had the most amazing experience during our stay in this hotel. All the personnel without exception was amazing, kind and very professional. They really know what service is about. My wife and I receive the most beautiful welcome and during our stay we felt like at home due to the kindness and hospitality of the staff. The in-room team did an amazing job to make us feel like we were in paradise. We made a good friend, Edwin, the security person. He is an amazing person. We left with a memorable experience. The staff provided Ritz Carlton service 100% from the front desk, bell staff, restaurant, and pool . We enjoyed a couple of the onsite restaurants. The food and service were all excellent. The first night I woke up to a completely wet floor from a leak, and the controle for the AC didn’t work. They did change my room, but no letter apologizing for the horrible night. They use to put flowers in the room, but not one flower. I have staid at this Ritz many times, but must say it was disappointing. The room staff were amazing and welcoming though.

Service at the hotel is world class, every single member of staff with a smile on their face and can’t do enough to help you. Hotel, grounds and spa are glorious. The only downside I can say is the noise from the construction site during the night as the workers are working 24/7. The new construction site, coupled with the Five Luxe blocks out the sun for most of the day at the pool areas which is a shame.

We felt the following were items with room for improvement at the The Ritz JBR Dubai:

The Club lounge wasn't very welcoming and lacked atmosphere.

Despite the dress code requirements for the club lounge, in the morning, lunch time and evening there were guests wearing beach or gym wear(sometimes wet clothing).

There didn't appear to be enough staff on in the club lounge during busy periods which left tables uncleared and people waiting for drinks etc.

On the beach we expected the usual Ritz service but once our sunbeds were made up and we were given cold water in a cooler, no staff came to see if we needed anything for the whole time we were on the beach.

Club lounge reception staff were not very welcoming and often didn't look up from their computer screens. (Which is probably why the dress code isn't being monitored and controlled).

Our experience as a whole wasn't as expected and as a result we won't be staying there again.

Property is in a decent location in the JBR part of Dubai. The staff is great and I have no complaints with the service.

However, the property is a bit dated, especially compared to some of the other luxury properties in the area. We had lounge access with our room and were disappointed. The food was not great and it was always busy.

The beds are pretty horrible. It seemed as if the mattress was years old where you could see where people had slept over time. Myself and my wife tried to lay together in the middle of the bed but were laying at an angle at that point. Super uncomfortable. When I’m spending over $1,000 USD per night I would expect that they would at the very least rotate the mattresses.

It was also quite loud at the property with people yelling down the hallways and partying outside until way past 12am.

All in all we were very disappointed with Ritz Carlton Dubai and left after one night to return to another luxury property in the area. I would not recommend staying here and unfortunately will not be returning to any other Ritz Carlton property after this experience.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dubai for our first few nights on our first trip to Dubai and we were amazed, thank you!

We arrived early on a Thursday morning, way before our check in time and your team looked after us. Not only with a room available straight away but an upgrade also. Our baggage was whisked away to our room.

The room was amazing and had a lovely balcony, clearly it is a slightly older property, but everything was amazing, clean, and looking great.

We went to the pool to hang out, eat and drink and loved it, it was perfect. The complimentary waters, ice Lollie's and service were incredible. When somewhere just gives these things away, although basic you feel the quality in experience.

We dined at the pool for lunch and Tamoka for dinner which was amazing. I left a separate review for them but the dinner and service was impeccable, you should be happy to have them based on site!

I can't say enough about our experience and we would absolutely stay here again, recommend it and if not staying, we would dine with you!

Thank you for everything your team does! We are very happy with our stay!

Amazing stay at the Ritz-Carlton JBR

The facilities at the hotel were better than expected. The room was incredible, the view definitely was impressive. The bathroom layout perfect for a family. The swimming pools were not only spotless, but with the children felt extremely safe as well. I was initially hesitant to book half board, but I am so glad that I did. All the meals were perfect, the kids selection was great too. Kudos to the chefs!
The word legendary is used by the Ritz-Carlton for service, and I couldn’t agree more, it definitely was, from the lobby desk, guest services, cleaning team, life guards, waiting staff and all the other employees. We didn’t have to ask for anything, it’s like everyone was always a step ahead and I cannot fault at all.
I would definitely recommend staying here, I certainly will the next time I go to Dubai.

Am assuming the Ritz in JBR has some unique type of contract where the only being Arab has decided not to use ritz management. The quality of staff was bad and looked like they hired locals with no hospitality experience. Too many instances of poor service to explain here but be aware it was bad.

I suggest that while Covit-19 tests are required by airlines, the hotel send a 72 hour reminder to its occupants prior to their departure reminding them to take the test with 3 chosen labs and inform the costs.

Disappointing Ritz Carlton Experience

Really disappointed with this hotel needing a refurb workmanship not great. Photos were taken years ago! Was our honeymoon arrived to a room next to a building site. Made a complaint and managed to get room changed. I emailed hotel prior to arrival still can’t get my head around being offered original room. Service not as good as other hotels in Dubai that are cheaper. When we checked out strangely not asked about our stay at all. Obviously reception anticipate negative feedback. My advice look elsewhere..

We enjoyed the Ritz very much. We booked Half-Board and where however dissapointed, that there where lots of meals not covered in the plan. It was clear for the drinks which are in general very expensive. The hotel changed the ruling in one restaurant during our stay as well, which was also not communicated. Other than that food very good and a lovely stay.
