Staff very friendly and helpful. Room spacious and clean. Excellent shower. Only faults were lack of full length mirror and lack of sockets, however did not detract from overall comfort. Slightly disappointed in pool area both due to size - rather small for size of hotel and number of guests and it only catches sun from around 1pm. Beach is only across the road so easy to spend time there. Hotel will supply towels, mats, umbrellas and water. Overall a good stay

Lovely hotel with easy access to JBR beach and surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and accommodating and room cleaned to a high standard. They also threw in a surprise cake for my partner’s birthday which was a lovely touch to our stay. Would definitely recommend the Sofitel if you are looking to stay in the JBR area

Hotel is old, and in need of an update/upgrade. room stunk of smoke. Got hassled on the way to the lifts by traders within the hotel sll the time selling knock-offs and rubish tacky stuff. Would not return to this hotel. Certainly not as good as a Sofitel in the UK. Better off looking for another hotel in the area. Definitely not the star rating advertised. The pool was warm, not cooled. The location was about the only good thing. Everything else is well below, par!

Room stank of mold, facilities very tired, restaurant service the one night we decided not to have the buffet was atrocious. Terrible food. I was served raw previously frozen escargot. All our entrees arrived at different times. Our very si ple meal took theee hours to serve. The buffet was good and the buffet staff were great but this hotel does not compare with any other Sofitel.

I had a lovely stay - The facilities were great and the hotel itself was brilliant. The breakfast was scrumptious with a wide variety of choice but what really made my stay memorable was Paul the concierge. He was extremely helpful when i got separated from my phone and went above and beyond to assist me in my time of need. He is a true asset to the Sofitel team. I will definitely be returning to this hotel again.

Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Restaurant amenities and breakfast offerings are quite good. The pool has a nice area to lounge by and offers shade and sun along with a lounge area to the side. Room can be updated although clean and sufficient. Location is excellent. JBR is extremely lively on the weekends and not for the faint of heart looking for quiet sleeps, even if you are on the 29th floor. The area is alway hustling with a variety of offerings for all ages and interests. Plenty of restaurants and cafes. Beach is beautiful. The area is extremely busy however. If this will be your base while in Dubai and you will be commuting, then you must add 20 minutes to you every drive to enter and exit JBR. Traffic is a disaster.

This was my second time staying at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach, and it was just as amazing as the first. I travelled with my family in July, and we all had an excellent experience. The breakfast selection was outstanding, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was pure luxury. My parents absolutely loved it, and the kids couldn’t get enough of the rooftop pool! Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect family-friendly yet luxurious stay in Dubai.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth and genuine hospitality. The hotel's attention to detail truly sets it apart, creating an experience that feels both luxurious and personal.
What truly blew us away, however, was their incredibly thoughtful gesture for my wife's birthday. I had mentioned in passing during the booking process that we were celebrating her special day, and they not only remembered but went above and beyond to make it memorable. We arrived back in our room after a day of exploring to find a delicious birthday cake, and a handwritten note from the staff. It was such a surprise and a truly touching display of how much they value their guests.
The room itself was immaculate and beautifully appointed, and the amenities were top-notch. Every aspect of our stay, from the impeccable service to the small, meaningful gestures, demonstrated a commitment to excellence. It’s a nice hotel, great staff, near shops if that’s what you want from a holiday. The marina is very built up though. No greenery. The hotel pool is tiny and was incredibly busy. The place is congested and you hear the super cars reving engines late at night. I preferred the Fairmont on the palm. Far bigger, more space to relax.

Hotel- layout and design is nice, very modern.

Rooms- very nice and upto date, loved the theme and bathroom design, decent size, always cleaned and sheets changed

Room view - selected balcony sea view and it was perfect!

Food- opted for breakfast option and it didn’t disappointment plenty of options! Depending what time you go will depend on how busy it was and you might have to wait for a table but the wait time was around 10 mins.

Staff- polite, friendly and welcoming

Pool- a little small but with it being an infinity pool it was nice with a good view!

Other service - NOT related to the hotel but no way reflect the hotel standard and service. Mentioning more so that people are aware nail salon 2nd floor (they just rent the space), overpriced, and the price does not reflect the quality of the work produced and the time taken (3hrs for acrylic nail set) plus. I had to go back 3 times within 72 hours due to the quality of nail glue used! Disappointment.

Overall the hotel was great, perfect for families too!

The hotel is in the most perfect location for being right in the centre of it all. You can easily walk along the beach, to bluewaters island and the marina and there are SO MANY fantastic dining options. It’s also only a 25mins (ish) drive to Dubai mall for the Burj and fountains. It’s about 45 mins away from the airport without traffic.

The hotel is lovely, clean etc just not one of the newest hotels. We were greeted very warmly by reception and really appreciated that our room was ready when we arrived early.

We had a luxury room with a balcony and view of the beach / Ain wheel which was well worth the extra money - fantastic views. The bed was massive and comfortable. Nice rainfall shower and separate bath too.

Room service / housekeeping were good.. if we needed anything extra and let reception know it would be sorted quickly.

The pool / pool area is nice but unfortunately only gets the sun between about 1pm and 4pm.

The beach is public which is fine but it’s quite expensive to hire sun loungers each day (about £27 per day).

Not the fault of the hotel and this would be an issue for all hotels but the only thing I would say is that it is pretty noisy at night with cars revving every night until about 2 or 3am. This wasn’t a problem for us as we mostly stayed up very late and I’m a heavy sleeper m but it you go to bed earlier or are a light sleeper then it’s something to consider! Even with white noise on both our phones it was still loud.

Really good location for the beach, shopping and restaurants.
Traffic after 11 is absolutely horrific. We had three taxis cancel on us from the Atlantis waterpark due to the location of this hotel. We had to get out of the taxi and walk 10/15 mins on multiple occasions because the traffic was so bad so just be warned.
We had wings and fries at the pool and the fries were good but the wings were disastrous.
The lifts are slow and take a while, one afternoon I was waiting 5-10 mins for a lift.
But all that said, I would still stay here again!

Won’t be coming back.

My 6th year in a row staying at the property. Always loved it, especially the location. But last year the room smelled overwhelmingly of mold/damp, and when I informed them they offered little more than an apology. And this time I found a roach in my room. Sorry but thats just unacceptable when paying this much money at a 5 star hotel. And once again, when I informed them they seemed to care very little. So after 6 years of staying here, I will NOT be coming back.

Second visit to this hotel, although the first visit was 10yrs ago.
I would return, although I would request a higher floor given the noise from the traffic on JBR and the hotel lounge music. The hotel balcony doors probably need further glazing to prevent the noise.
The room was lovely, and the view and balcony amazing. The hotel carpet leading along the corridor to the room seemed to smell strange, of ammonia. Maybe this needs replacing unless it was insect spray!
The pool staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful.

Located in JBR, you can’t beat the location. Accessible to everythjng and walkable. Be mindful the traffic is terrible in the area if planning to taxi to other places but that shouldn’t prevent you from staying in area. Sofitel is elegant, staff amazing and great vibe

The hotel was very clean, with excellent breakfast options. The staff were always friendly, helpful and attentive.

During the daytime the area is clean and tidy with excellent access to the beach and local shops. The access to the tram and metro needs a little walk along some narrow pavements.

The biggest disappointment is the level of noise in the evening and through the night -- lots of traffic, extremely loud car engines being revved into the early hours, and very loud dance music from the clubs and restaurants over the road. It became so noisy that we needed to play white noise on our phones during the night to help us sleep.

Overall the hotel is excellent, location to the beach is excellent, facilities during the daytime are great, but the level of noise in the evening and overnight has put me off from returning.

Lovely stay in a great hotel at Jumeirah Beach area wirh valet parking included. Very well kept property. Lots of amenities and superb staff. Fabulous breakfast buffet with great selection for just about anyone's taste.

All the staff were super helpful and nice from check-in to concierge to parking valets and lobby staff.

Nice pool area looking out over the beach.

Room was advertised for 4 adults to sleep but there wasn’t enough space for 3 adults let alone 4. Also, not enough space in the cupboard or in the room to accommodate 3 adults. Overall we had a great stay, the hotel was very clean and the check in/out process was very quick and efficient. They allowed us to check in early and check out late with no extra fee. The infinity pool and the staff servicing it were fantastic, always making sure we were happy with our sunbeds and trying to move us into ones with sun and vice versa. The pool bar was great and again the staff here were very helpful. Special mention to Hannington at the main entrance who was always greeting us, helping with our bags and to get taxis when we needed them. Staff like this really enhance guests stay and encourage them to return, so thank you Hannington!
There were a couple of negatives, the main one being the guy on the tours desk who was extremely unhelpful and showed no interest in trying to help us. He even said that bar a cruise and circus type show, there is nothing to do in Dubai at night... The other negative were the restaurant staff. We called to book dinner at their Plantation restaurant for their normal al acarte menu, however when we got there they told us it was a seafood buffet. There was no mention of this on the phone so we tried to cancelled our reservation, however the lady on the phone never made it. We then made a reservation somewhere else, to then be told their al acarte menu is in an ajoining bar. I feel their communication needs to be improved.
That being said we enjoyed our stay a lot. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy and the location was ideal.

Hotel cleaning staff were excellent, ensuring a prompt and thorough clean on a daily basis. However small things such as the hair dryer off switch not working, and the balcony door being difficult to push open were mino inconvenience. My main concern however was the way in which we were dealt with. I arrived at 10am, and understandably the hotel have their own check in policy of 3pm. Despite the latter however, we were told several times at hourly intervals that our room was \"getting ready\" and should be available soon. I was left waiting around for 5 hours clinging on the hope that it would be any minute now based on the interaction from hotel staff. I ended up wasting a SIGNIFICANT portion of time on my first day of a short stay in Dubai, and even at 3pm the room was delayed for another 15 minutes. All I was given was an apology with no real conviction in the sincerity. I also expressed that other hotel guests who arrived to similar times to myself were catered for hours before me. Instead of empathising, or taking responsibility, they replied with \"there is a priority list\". At the end of the day, I am a paying customer, and I do not appreciate being lied to, and the lack of empathy towards the value of my time, especially when you are there for a short stay. Wont be visiting again im afraid.
