Yes unobstructed beach and sea views. Clean room nice staff, so friendly, walking distance to shops and restaurants, right in the heart of JBR. Great location for first timers. Only thing I didn’t love was the pool but it’s fine, there s the beach, and we did beach clubs so it’s fine. Check-in staff was rude, and I hated the check in experience. The room had 1 towel, and was dirty. Room smelled of mold. I highly do not recommend this hotel. A horrible experience. They charged me extra 1200 DHR for my 5 year old son because he was not mentioned on my booking on checkin.

Only issues were that water was not consistently hot for showering, there was a significant period of time on the day we arrived that we could not use the water meaning that we could not shower or use the toilet and we were advised on another day that the lifts would be unavailable due to a scheduled fire drill.

My stay at the JA Ocean View Hotel was truly satisfying. Check-in was seamless, even though we arrived late in the evening. The room was well air-conditioned, and I appreciated the refrigerator—it was cold enough to store leftovers properly, unlike the cooler boxes you find in many other hotels.

I am reluctant to give poor reviews, I have stayed 200 + nights in Dubai over the past 20 years. This hotel stay left me underwhelmed.
After a late arriving flight, I ended up checking in at 2.30am. The check in felt quite robotic and not welcoming at all, the impression I got from reception was they wanted me away as soon as possible to let them get back to more important things. At the time of day it was, I didn’t really have an issue but I did expect to feel a little more welcomed to the hotel.
The room itself is clean and a good size. There was however quite a few issues I would normally associate with a 4 star hotel.
The bed was advertised as king, but was 2 singles joined together.
The soundproofing of the rooms was quite bad, lots of outside traffic noise even though I’m on the 15th floor, I could also hear noise from other rooms very clearly.
No mini bar and no bottled water, only 2 large glassed bottles of water you can’t take with you.
The shower is not walk in, it is an extremely narrow shower over bath which for an elderly or larger person would be very uncomfortable.
A towel in the bathroom was badly stained when I arrived. I didn’t use the towel once, and it stayed in the room my whole stay.
No hot water from my shower at 5.30am on day of checkout.
Staff at the spa the 2 times I was there were too busy on their phones to provide any kind of service or advice I needed. The only time I could use the time restricted sauna area, the jacuzzi didn’t work.

Check in took few hours and we had issue with the local tax payment being told to pay double until we needed to contact expedia to resolve. Hardly any staff at check in. Room given damp smell and was given a change of room at 8pm so changed rooms 3 times. Wasted the whole day on adequate room. Children got truma locked on balcony in 45 degree heat as balcony door faulty we thought kids were kidnapped until we found them crying traumatised and heat stroked locked on balcony. Our whole holiday ruined with trauma. Balcony is a fire hazard ajd pose severe health and saftey issues. My children jad so much trauma they couldnt sleep witho7t us or enter the other room. Daughters hands and nails bruises trying to pull balcony door. Other daughters severely traumatised saying she wanted to jump of balcony. We traumatised because we thought girls had gobe missing kindapped for at least 45 minutes looking for them hysterical. Lana tried helping with changing damp room at start of stay and then coming to see us with the balcony incident but our holiday ruined due to severe trauma. Will be escalating the health and saftey balcony issue as its poses several risks and do not want any future incidents which could end worse especially in emergency such as fires.

Hi, our families stay at the JA Ocean view was fantastic. When we were checking in we were given a free upgrade.. unbelievable rooms for us and the 3 kids. I couldn't believe it.... the sports bar is real good especially if you have 3 boys.. and who love football.. place was really clean and the food was excellent. Hotel is really well situated. Everything is near.. beach, shops etc. We will be back for sure..
