This property is in a renovated building. Noticeably it has no elevator; it is on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) of the building. The room was cramped, there is no full time front desk, the manager was brusk, there is no restaurant within but there are some in the area, the WiFi inconsistent but free. However, it is literally just around the corner from the main Naples train station and was walking distance to the meeting points of the tour providers I used. Quite possibly it is more a hostel than a hotel although I did not see the amenities that would be present for such travelers. Pretty much convinced me that it is better to accept a higher rate to get the amenities I desire.

Staff was very nice, good option for short stays, better than expected. Room was nice and clean, but the pillows should be replaced as they are very flat. Just the toilets need to be refurbished as the shower is quite uncomfortable: it is small and doesn’t have a handheld shower head, only a fixed one. This means that if you don’t want to wash your hair, you still end up getting it wet.

Once you get to the actual hotel up the stairs it is clean and welcoming. The owner came to help check me in, he spoke english and was lovely and courteous. My room was clean, linens lovely and clean, my private bathroom same. I am Canadian so it is very different from what we are used to. The area outside is slightly intimidating but was fine. My only issue was other guests. I stayed May 28th I am sure if he checks his cctv he will find guests he won’t invite back. Fighting, banging very very loudly on outside door, smoking, all night literally until 4am in and out up and down hall. The walls are thin and I got very little rest and felt unsafe overnight. If there were staff onsite overnight it would have been reassuring. The owner did give me his what’s app number but I was not comfortable calling or complaining in middle of night.

My stay at Hotel Ginevra was mixed. The hotel is well-located, making it convenient to explore the area, and the room was clean. However, the building itself is quite old, which gives it a somewhat rundown feel. Communication was a challenge as the staff did not speak English, making it difficult to resolve issues during the stay. Unfortunately, the bathroom was not functional, and the mattress and pillows were the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
While the location is a plus, the outdated facilities and lack of comfort left much to be desired.

Rppm was cleaned and fresh towels provided daily The stairs are a killer but I'm an overweight 50+ smoker. My only complaint was the bed was VERY firm, too firm for me personally. If you sleep on your side and have large hips, your hips will end up feeling bruised. After spending my days doing a lot of walking, it would have been better to have comfy bed and a decent nights sleep.7/10

Only challenges were it’s quite noisy outside and couldn’t get shower real hot. For the price it’s a bargain however and I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel is good for the price, room and bathroom were clean and they also cleaned it every day. We stayed for 7 days and had a good sleep, our own private bathroom and various other facilities. It had a TV with netflix, kettle and coffee/tea, a hairdryer, a safe for our passports and other valuables, wifi, a fridge and aircon/heating. Location was very good too, only 2 min walk to main station Garibaldi which was great for our trip to Pompeii and Amalfi.

The hotel is in a great location for easy access to public transit and restaurants. It was easy to get to. This is a very busy part of the city with homeless people outside the train/bus station. They did not cause any problems. There were restaurants, grocery stores and small stores within 1 block. I had a private room that was a one bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The water pressure and hot water were awesome. My room was cleaned daily and there were 4 towels, and a separate heat/ac unit that I had full control of. My room number 20, was right by the front door and reception desk. Unfortunately the walls were thin and the phone ringing and people talking outside felt like they were in my room. It made me paranoid they could hear me. There were multiple wifi links but they cutout around 9pm and were weak in the room. I stayed 3 nights and was happy to call it my home base.

i chose this hotel because of the price, which was reasonable, i chose the single room with shared bathroom, the room was basic but comfortable, i slept well, the area was very close to train station and airport bus, and also on the edge of the historical area, plenty of good pizzeria and pizza options close by, naples is a bit rough around the edges but in a way that gives it character anc chamr, i felt safe at al times- also the staff were nice

Overall, the place inside is decent and the service was ok. BUT, this place is located in a very scary area. Thank God for the restaurant across the street, otherwise, we would have gone hungry for the night because we were scared to leave the hotel after dark! We paid for 2 nights and left as soon as we could early the next morning!! And it's a walk up, I think 3 flights of stairs, so if you have luggage, it's quite a haul.

Good option when situation forces to stay in Naple
Our flight was late and we arrived at 10pm to central station for train to Sorrento. No matter that there were two departures indicated, I was told \" no, signora, no trains for tonight\". So got to think what to do as we were with my daughter-either to spend overnight in Naples or to take taxi ' for fixed 110€ \" - all taxi drivers were trying to prove almost in screaming it by showing some sort of funny card of fixed prices ( btw, when i turned back with strict\" no\", \"fixed price\" dropped to 80€...). Calculated that Id rather pay less for the overnight stay and took this hotel which is just 3-5mins away by walking from the station, depends on how fast you are rather pay 80-110€ to get to Sorrento. It was easy to find, indication hangs from the main street. Hotel is on the 2nd ( actually the 3rd) floor. Guy which met us was very kind, have just good to say about him. Got room with shared bathroom for two and rested very comfy till early morning. Beddings were very clean even somewhat outdated already, but you understand you are not at Hiltons or similar. Bathroom clean, modern enough. We could enjoy view to main street of real Naples life in the early morning even we were in a hurry to chase our lost. So if situation would make me the same surprise next time( and in Italy everyone should be ready of such things what happened for us with \" no trains\"), would just head directly there for bed and pillow, which were comfy both.

Scroll down for my previous review. It is not a 4 star hotel, but it’s a 4 star value I’ve stayed in 5 of their rooms now. You might like the kitch “theme” rooms.. Me, I prefer the simple bathroom-down-the-hall cheap-o rooms. Sketchy but convenient neighborhood.

Simple, basic, friendly and good value
A simple, basic hotel. Don’t expect anything fancy. But it is clean and friendly and a very good price for Naples. I was quite content in my room with balcony and sink, with the bathroom down the hall. Staff is nice, and helpful. In the sketchy neighborhood near the Stazione Centrale (I narrowly escaped being pickpocketed). But the restaurant across the street was quite good and atmospheric, there’s a bustling street market nearby, and caffès all around (Mexico has great coffee, and the Happy Bar around the corner has a cappuccino and pastry deal for €1.80). A 15 or 20 minute walk to Via Toledo and the center, so that’s a downside. And obviously close to transportation, including trains, metro, buses, and the airport bus (which stops right nearby). I’ll definitely stay again.

Basic hotel in a handy location
This is a basic hotel. If you want to just use it as we did, a resting point at night as we explored pompii, vesuvius ETC. Then it is ok. The area around the hotel isnt the friendliest, but with it so close the the train station, you dont need to hang around much if you dont want to!

One night in Napoli
Compared to a standard double room booking, this was great! Lots of space - a double bed, large sofa bed and even a balcony. The staff were nice too, the wifi stopped working twice and we asked the receptionist to unplug and replug the router (being nuesances as we are) and he did it both times without questioning. Nice hotel, nice people! Would stay there again for sure if we ever went to Napoli!

Good Budget Hotel by the Naples Train Station
If you are a solo traveler or couple looking for a good budget hotel by the train station in Naples this is a fine choice. You do have to share a bathroom, including the shower, which can be a little annoying, but didn't bother me too much. The room does have a sink in it though which is helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. You do have to return the key everyday though, which is a little weird, but I didn't leave anything valuable in the room when I left everyday so again didn't bother me. However, the hotel is a little far from many of the tourist attractions in Naples so you will have to walk or take public transportation if you want to see some of the interesting historical sights in Naples. The neighborhood also isn't the best, but I never felt unsafe, though I didn't go out much at night.

Firstly bad things: The hotel is in a very dodgy area of the city. Garibaldi square is full of homeless people and weirdos trying to hassle you or sell you stolen phones. Just need to be careful walking around there in the evenings. Also hotel lobby smells of cigarettes. They tried to charge me double tourist tax because I had a double bed (?) but they were happy to refund me once I pointed out that tourist tax is based per PERSON. Finally you can't bring people over because you have to go through reception to get your key and I wanted to bring my date up to my room and it was too awkward. Also the Wifi wasn't working in my room because signal was too weak. The good things: Room was clean, spacious, funky and wel decorated. Could get Wifi working if I stuck my tablet next to the door so I spent a lot of time standing by the door. Despite all the bad things, I would still recommend it as a cheap / comfortable option

Do not come by car
Pros: The hotel is in the center of Naples. Cons: Strong awful smell of cigarette smoke everywhere in the halls and we had to run AC non-stop to rid the room of it. The room was otherwise nice. If you come by car to Naples, this is definitely not a good choice, the hotel is in ZTL zone (limited traffic). Large parking garages that are also close to the highway are about 6 blocks.

I paid for a single room with bathroom. I got a room with a sink and a washer but I had no idea what to use the washer for when there's no toilet in the room unless the meaning of it is that I go to their shared toilet which is dirty and then come back to clean myself. Staff wanted double the rent price when I had to stay another night so I was very glad when I left it for better alternatives nearby.
