We had the best view. We love this place. It’s perfect for us. We love the country, fresh air and nice people. We found it all here. It’s a few meters from the train station. If if you don’t mind not having an elevator this will be perfect for you too.

Lovely getaway!

This hotel was just perfect for our needs! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, absolutely breathtaking setting and views, fantastic breakfast, and excellent accessibility to trains. I couldn't wait to relax with a book in the garden at the end of the day! Shout out to Pascal, for his cheerful and helpful assistance! We also enjoyed the restaurant next door.

I was chek in different rooms than reserved rooms. Down grading. Owner is not apologizing mention and not returned down grading rooms price money. Very unpleasant. Also, front desk staff is very rude & very angly. All times during celluer phone check-in & droped the room key. She is racism. Our rooms reserved mountain deluxe rooms. But, changed small rooms.

Very pleasant hotel, conveniently located near the train station, with helpful friendly staff. Room we stayed in was very basic, but comfortable enough and had a small balcony with an amazing view of the garden, village and magnificent mountains. Very nice breakfast. The room also has a small electric kettle for tea or coffe.

This Hotel is older and keeps with style of the area, but it is very clean, the beds are comfortable and it is only a 2 min walk to the rail station. Please note they do not have an elevator so you do have to use stairs but the staff are very willing to carry your luggage up for you. It comes with a nice breakfast and the restaurant is also a good choice for dinner. The view from our room was breathtaking and we enjoyed the cool air and the beautiful garden in the back. I can’t say enough about Anze the concierge who greeted us, offered to carry luggage, made reservations, gave directions and check in on us. He makes this nice Hotel even better. If we are in the area we would definitely stay again.

Anna at the front desk was very helpful at check-in and later with information on Lauterbrunnen and Mürren and Chris in the Edelweiss Restaurant provided excellent, personal service. We recommend the Rosti with chicken and mushrooms (outstanding!) and the South African curry dish, sehr gut!

the only reject is that there's no elevator!

Little Gem off the beaten path

We felt so welcomed at the Alpenrose. Andre created a special tour for us to accommodate the weather and kept us from spending money to then be disappointed by a cloudy day. This is not a 5 star hotel but we had a 5 star experience. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was great. When I booked this I was not aware it was in Wilderswil outside of Interlaken but it worked out great. The train was under repair and the bus was easy to catch and take into town.

Location, comfort, and beauty!

The beds were some of the most comfortable of the trip and they had a great family room that allowed the children's room to be closed off from the parent's room if desired. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the location cannot be beat. Perfect for catching the train or bus wherever you need to go. The breakfast selection was huge and delicious! Would definitely stay again.

The location is good, just five minutes walk to the the wildersill tram station. The garden of the hotel is very beautiful. There are many different kind of flower. The building is 100 years old, whis is historical and beautiful. I can enjoy the beakfast in the restaurant with spectacular view. Also, the jacuzzi is open for use from 8pm-10pm. This is a memorable moment.

It was a decent place. I can’t really say anything really good or really bad about it, it was just a place to lay my head and get some rest. The staff for the front desk was the same staff as those in the restaurant so I stood at the desk for 10 minutes just waiting for someone to greet me, then I had to go back to get a shower towel because I wasn’t given one and waited another 10 minutes, so the service was definitely mediocre. The room was comfortable and it’s in a nice location, so I’ll give it that. It’s a budget friendly place and does the job.

Was great until the truck above me came in at 0200 and sounded like he was sick with dropping things on the floor and u and down for about an hour. after that it was up at 0600 and woke me up again. Very unconscious like they were the only one in the building Bed wasn't comfortable either needs to be looked at just in case the supports are cracked or broken. I didn't bother to check was way to tired to do so. Staff was very pleasure and welcoming. I didn't have breakfast. Overall nice facility not hotels fault for the clown sleep in the room above me

Let me start by saying that the staff is quite nice and helpful and the property has a wonderful view and a tremendous amountl of potential. That being said, it is in great need of updating and is lacking in just about every amenity. The towels and sheets were old, gray and worn...no shampoo and the room was not cleaned particularly well. Our room was situated on the first floor, sandwiched between the entrance to the reception area and a lovely patio area in the back with a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the hotel had a bus load of rowdy visitors - half of which spoke at full volume on the patio and the other half speaking at full volume in the reception area until well past midnight. Once they went upstairs, the parquet floors above us squeaked and squawked for another hour. There was no air conditioning and the rooms were fitted with down comforters designed for the winter months - the heat was miserable and I did not get a wink of sleep. The breakfast was well done and again, the staff greeted us in a friendly manner although no one asked how our stay was. I think this place could be spectacular with a little love but sadly I will not be back to see it.

well worth considering

Two nights here and could have gone for a third or forth time permiting,
once we found it the staff were really friendly and welcoming food was good and hot which we needed as it was pigging freezing outside.
train station just a stones throw away handy if you ae planning on going up to jungfraujong or piz gloria. You get a free travel pass for the bus into interlaken valid for the lenth of your stay and as many trips as you want.
would recommend this hotel to any and all.
oh breakfast is standard but ok

Good place to stay!

The hotel was perfect for a place to rest your head. It was in a cute neighborhood and very easy to travel into Interlaken. The gardens were lovely. The room was totally fine. It was an older hotel and the walls were a bit thin (could hear some hallway noise), but the staff was super friendly and helpful!

Very fun place to stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They had lots of information on hiking and adventuring the Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Interlaken area. The Rugby World Cup was going on so we were able to watch it with others at the hotel. The experience was great.

So loud!

More of a hostel rather than a hotel. Is above a bar where we stayed so loud and even when the bar closes the floors are so squeaky and the walls so thin that you hear everything!
Shared bathroom which isn't ideal or convenient. Breakfast very average.
Staff were friendly that is the only positive!

Very ordinary hotel

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and proximity to Interlaken. You still would need a car to get to the hotel and to the city. The room was in a worn down condition and no proper closet and storage place. The room door was difficult to shut and one could easily hear people in adjacent rooms because of the old structure of the hotel and the wooden floor squeaking all night. Also, few rooms in the hotel do not have a private bathroom.
Breakfast was good with a lot of options and the garden behind the hotel was well maintained too. Will look for a different hotel when we visit next time to Interlaken

The view from our room was very good. But the bed, bathroom and other room comforts did not meet our expectations. There was not even a phone in the room. The dining area looked good but again the food disappoints. Overall we are surprised that expedia has this hotel on its list..

Excellent location for Interlaken and Jungfraujoch. Nice relaxing view from the room balcony too. However, it felt like the hotel mainly catered for large groups. We paid for dinner at the hotel one evening and the service was very disorganised with the staff only paying attention to the larger group who were staying there. It was a buffet service but the staff only offered us the food that was leftover on the buffet table after the group had been served. We felt very neglected compared to the attention that was being given to those in the larger group, and had to wait a long time for any kind of service.

It was not 5 stars hotel, yes, but I have never been to such hotel in my life. I ways travel, I have been to some of the best hotels in the world. But never felt the feeling I felt when I was at that hotel. I even asked for more nights.

Great hotel with fantastic view and close to train

What a channing little hotel. Very close to the windersil train station and grocery store, about a 5 min walk. I came in a bit early and the owner was nice to accommodate me into a room. The room itself was large and clean. It had a heater plus a nice breeze. The breakfast was quite good-fruit, pastries, meat, and cheese. I highly recommend the place.

القرية هادئة تبعد عن انترلاكن 5 دقائق بالسيارة .. الموظفين ودودين للغاية وحجزنا كان مع افطار وكان جيد .. هناك حديقة خلفية بها انواع كثيرة من الفاكهة والخضروات .. المواقف امام الفندق مجانية .. الغرفة جيدة ولكن لا يوجد تكييف ولا يوجد ثلاجة .. اعجبني اطلالة الغرفة على الجبل

Great hotel, minus point for the breakfast

The hotel is very lovely with the charm of old wooden building. Note that there is no elevator. The hotel is in a very quiet neighbourhood, at walking distance of the train station and convenience stores. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, but it was always full during our stay.
We had a room facing the amazing garden and the mountains. The room has a small balcony where you can sit and relax watching the mountains. You can even see the scientific station at the top of the Jungenfrau from the room. The room is equipped with an electric kettle and tea-coffee set. The room was spacious, the beds a bit firm.
The restaurant of the hotel offers great Swiss meal. We ate there 2 evenings, and the meals were really great.
The only let-down was the breakfast buffet. There wasn't much variety, no pastries, no local specialities. Also, there were individual portions (for covid reason i guess). Those indovodual portions were very tiny: 3 cherry tomatos in one tiny jar, a table spoon of fruit salad in another tiny jar. This wasn't enough to fill my morning apetite.

3인 가족 여행이었고,
3층으로 배정, 싱글 침대 3개로 불편함 없이 지냈음.

주변 숙소도 비슷하겠지만
최신 건물이 아닌 관계로 고풍적인 느낌을 느낄 수 있었고
이런 점을 감안하여 불편함 없이 지낼 수 있었음.

기차역이 매우 가까워서(걸어서 1~2분) 좋았고,
조식도 무난한 편.

호텔 옆 레스토랑에서 식사 후
마당 둘러보면 좋을 듯 함.
