The staff were amazing as was eveything about this Hotel.
From the spectacular views to the walks surrounding it, it was amazing.
Our room / apartment was huge and spacious with a wrap around balcony.
If we had any criticisms it would be the pillows were slighty uncomfortable and that my wife did struggle with some food choices being Gluten and Dairy free (this seems to be the case throughtout Austria though).
But the food we all did have was fantastic.

This hotel is in a very beautiful area. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains and the room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was great and included in our stay. There was only one restaurant on site and you pretty much had to get everything from the restaurant such as any snacks, wine, etc. That would be my only knock on the hotel. It would have been nice to have a little market nearby on the property or at least a vending machine. Otherwise, we have no complaints whatsoever. Great place.

Nice hotel right by Grundlsee Lake, offering an amazing view. I had a room with a balcony directly facing the lake—it was stunning.
The breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of variety.
There’s a bus stop right next to the hotel. I’ll definitely come again to enjoy a different view in the summer!

We happened to be at the Mondi during the storm Boris. We were very comfortable and warm, and enjoyed the bar and restaurant. We especially enjoyed the view of Lake Grundlsee and the mountains with snow.

could have been so much better

The hotel is in a wonderfall location and this is the strong side of it. from here there's a downfall regarding other aspects of the stay.
the breakfast is okay. eating in the balcony with the lake in the view is really great.
the service is not very friendly. no help was offered regarding things to do. the room was cleaned once during the 5 days stay. the room is outdated. beds are not the most comfortable. we got a second floor mini apartment - not convenient with the luggage, and way more expensive then a regular room (why wasnt that offered at the order time?)
no one is smiling to you. the atmosphere from the staff was not very pleasant.
all in all, a not so well managed and maintained property, in a lovely location

Amazing place to stay in beautiful Lake District. The facility is simply superb & great for chilling out. Everything is excellent.
The downside is their lack of flexibility in service - While checking in I was told that room will be serviced only once in 3 days - fine for us, but I had asked if the towels would be replaced when needed - The answer was 'yes' - But when I actually asked, I was told that the towels get replaced only on Tuesdays - We were lucky that it was Tuesday.
May be it was just me but I found couple of ladies on reception a bit stern on phone when I had something to ask - A bit of smile & friendly voice would add into customer satisfaction.

Bu no complaints - It was excellent stay.

The hotel is nice & the lake is amazing but... it depends where your room is, because of the noice (if there is a party and you didn’t know it in advance) or people sitting outside late at night, or people walking near your room.
Pity that only once in 3 days they clean the rooms.
The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is nice.
With all what I wrote, we loved the hotel.

An incredible place! If you want a quieter place to stay than Hallstatt, this is the place. Reserve a lake view room and you will not regret. Breakfast is very good. The only thing that could have made it better is to have air conditioned rooms, other than that it was perfect!

We had a mixed experience here. The hotel is situated in a breathtaking location, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the Grundlsee. However, our stay was very much disturbed by the construction on the property which we do not feel we were adequately warned about prior to booking or arrival. We were initially put in a room directly overlooking the construction. When we asked to move, there was a bit of back and forth, as if we were being unreasonable to ask for a quieter room when traveling with a young toddler. Finally we were offered another room but had to move all of our bags ourselves. The new room was far superior in terms of location, but overall the condition of all the room could use improvement. They have clearly not been updated for some time, and while everything was properly clean, it was worn and dated. On the positive side, the general hotel facilities (lobby, restaurant, pool, etc) seemed much more updated. The food was excellent and the pool was very nice. Overall I don't think we'd go back, as we expected a bit more luxury for the price we paid.

Breath-taking

About 30 mins drive from Hallstatt. We weren't able to find a room in Hallstatt so chose this place by chance and it turned out to be the most favorite place during out trip. The hotel is up the hill but there are villages nearby. Very nice little towns to get anything that you'd need. The scenic view was breath-taking. Breakfast was great with variety of choice. On that day there happened to be a few travel groups so we were asked to sit a little bit inside; not by the window which we could enjoy the lake view. But other that these few little details, it's a great place to recharge your battery

On the way to the hotel at night, I regretted to make a reservation this place but next day I had no doubt to reserve there. I had a great time having a breakfast at the restaurant, playing at the kids club room and taking bicycle around the lake. The condition of room and the restroom is a little old and uncomfortable.

Grundlsee is so beautiful, as is the restaurant(s) on this property. However, our room was out-dated and terribly uncomfortable with an unnecessary kitchen unit next to the bed and very old nasty carpeting. The bathroom was so tiny, it was terribly inconvenient. It seems they have put a lot of money and time into renovating the restaurant -- successfully -- but they need to give the same effort to the guest rooms.

This place was such a nice surprise. Cute little mountain town on the lake about 40 min from Hallstatt. The staff was wonderful, food was excellent and reasonably priced, as were wine and beer. They have an awesome pool, and games such as pool table. ping pong, etc. Perfect getaway retreat spot. & The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip

The views are breathtaking, even in the winter. I highly recommend this hotel for those who do not mind a big venue. The front desk staff was very helpful and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious. When you make a reservation I recommend you ask for a room with the best view, as some views are blocked by other buildings.

Beautiful resort in the Salzkammergut

We thought this place was pretty amazing, in spite of the late spring snowstorm on April 18th!! Was a beautiful location, but snowed so hard we could barely see the lake! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and had a well equipped kitchenette. The indoor pool was great as was the sauna area. We did not eat dinner there (had already eaten), but I'm sure it would be good. The included breakfast was fantastic!! Very nice selection of breads, fruits, meats, yogurts and an omlette station and sparkling wine. Husband says the internet connection was good. We definitely want to go back, it was so nice. May be a bit difficult to find if you don't have navi, but definitely worth the trip!!!!

Nice hotel in a beautiful location. Good selection at breakfast and unbeatable views from the restaurant decking. Restaurant is also good for dinner, but a little on the expensive side.
WiFi connection was down for two days while I was there, which isn't convenient when travelling for work! The room was also very hot with no way to control the temperature.
However, would recommend.

Beautiful location off the beaten track

The hotel setting and view are wonderful. We travelled with a family group and were able to get four rooms together. An excellent base for some hiking and exploration of the area. We did a day trip from this hotel to Salzburg including a salt mine tour and a dinner and concert at Salzburg castle that was a great day - but with about 2 and 1/2 hour round trip driving also a long day - it was great to have the hotel spa facilities and grounds for a real quite day with a day hike and exploration of the local town restaurants.

Nice resort overlooking Grundlsee (but not every room) featuring a good restaurant and serves a nice breakfast.
the double room size is quite big with a little well equipped kitchenette. bathroom is nicely sized as well. and both are very clean.
Hotel's facilities are wonderful. A short walking distance to the shores of Grundlsee.
Plenty of free carpark but you they are downhill!
Two drawbacks about this hotel: one, the early checkout @ 10 am and the late check in @ 4 pm, two, the weak WiFi network.

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly.
Beds are too hard, had much trouble trying to sleep. The housekeeping service could be better. (Our son spilt blueberries on the sheets, and though the sheets were obviously stained the housekeeping didn't change them until I made a request through reception.
Food was good, menu option for 19,90 good value except when there is a buffet on offer.

In a quite location, plenty of parking places, comfort beds and no air conditioning... excellent breakfast, very bad WiFi, up in a hill and not exactly near lake you have to walk all the way down. Elevator only goes to second floor you have climb stairs for 3rd floor.

My husband and I celebrated our Birthdays in this Hotel (Mondi-Holiday). We had an awesome time, the place was very relaxing and the view of the lake was so romantic. The breakfast buffett was delicious with so much varieties and the restaurant view of the lake was amazing. We decided this is the place for our get away relaxing time. We will come back in 2 months. The Hotel staff has an excellent costumer service.

Beautiful location and good place to explore from

The hotel has a lovely setting above the Grundlsee. The view from the restaurant terrace is great and food is very good. The hotel is more of a chalet/apartment set up than a hotel. You get a small kitchen etc and rooms are distributed through separate buildings on the site. The location is good too and not difficult to get to from Vienna along the S6. I think the area is a bit of a secret but one definitely worth exploring.

It's a winter sking resort. Very charming cottages. Has a great view of the lake and mountains. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant is good. Breakfast was included, and was good, had a big variety. Great view from the restaurant at night.
The lake is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, the little town is charming and quiet, not touristic, very good restaurants and great views everywhere.
We definitely recommend this place as one of the most beautiful places in Austria.

OK, I loved this place!

I really enjoyed stating at this hotel. The rate we paid was very affordable, the location of the hotel spectacular, and staff helpful and friendly. Upon checking in we received a complimentary upgrade to rooms with lake views, and believe me, the views of Grundlsee were stunning. The pool area was nice, and the wellness area with saunas and steam rooms even nicer. The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful, and we sat outside on the terrace to enjoy the scenery. Totally would stay here again.

2 nätter i familjerum som var riktigt stort, rymligt och fräscht, det som lyfter hela upplevelsen är läget och utsikten precis vid sjön. Perfekt läge för utflykter. Detta i sig gör att man accepterar övriga småskavanker. I det stora hela en positiv upplevelse men finns brister framförallt i frukost erbjudandet som var virrigt och oinspirerande. Traumhafte Lage mit dem besten Ausblick am Grundlsee. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen - das grösste Aushängeschild des HOtels sind seine Mitarbeitenden, super freundlich, immer mit einem Lächeln auf dem Gesicht, super hilfsbereit und authentisch. Die Zimmer sind schön und gut ausgestattet, allerdings sind die Badezimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und verfügten in unserem Fall auch in beiden Zimmern weder über Fenster noch Lüftung, die Umbauung der Waschbecken war recht abgenutzt und die Duschen nicht wirklich auf dem neusten Stand. Generell sind die Zimmer stilistisch eher dunkel gehalten und auch recht \"alpenuntypisch\" vom Design, worin aber ein gewisser charme liegt. Die Wintergärten haben am Zimmer haben wir sehr genossen.
Man sollte wissen, die gesamte Anlage sehr gross ist und somit auch Reisegruppen hier absteigen. Das kann beim Frühstück schon einmal für etwas Unruhe sorgen und wir haben es daher vorgezogen, unser Frühstück immer recht spät (nach 9h) einzunehmen, damit wir hier etwas mehr Gemütlichkeit verspürten. Die Auswahl ist allerdings sehr schön, reichhaltig und einfallsreich. Lediglich die Eierstation schien mit der Anzahl an Reisenden an die Kapazitätsgrenze zu geraten ...
Die Parkplätze sind z.T recht weit von den Zimmern/Rezeption entfernt, so dass es für Ältere oder Menschen mit Geheinschränkung sowohl aufgrund der Anhöhe des Hotels (auf dem Hügel) und der Entfernung etwas schwierig wird.

Das Hotel Mondi hat eine hervorragende Lage, mit Blick über den Grundlsee. Bei Ankunft, wurden wir in der Rezeption sehr herzlich empfangen. Auch aufgrund der Lage, ist das Hotel für Ausflüge sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Hotel und das Zimmer waren mega schön! Der Ausblick von unserem relativ neuen Studio im Haupthaus war mega!

Was leider nicht gut war: das Essen und auch der Service im Restaurant, da erwartet man von einem 4-Sterne Hotel mehr!

Wir hatten überraschend ein Appartement mit zwei Schlafzimmern bekommen. Dies hat noch mehr zur Entspannung meiner Mutter und mir in unserem Wanderurlaub beigetragen ;-) Seitlicher Balkon hatte einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Grundlsee ... herrlich in der Morgenstimmung.

nur so lala....

Um sein Ohr zu betten, ok. Es ist eher schäbig und runtergekommen, zumindest war die Unterbringung in den Appartement-Häusern so. Das Frühstück war gut.

Die Panorama und die Küche (das Frühstück) war fantastisch.
Die Einrichtung und Zustand des Appartements alt und teilweise kaputt: das Sofa im \"Wohnzimmer\" zerbrochen, die Frontelemente in der Küche hängen - wie kann das in einem 4* Resort vorkommen? Rätselhaft.
Die Rezeptionistin hat uns sehr unfreundlich empfangen.
Schade! Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Situation top mais cher pour une chambre vieillote

Les plus : la proximite et la vue incroyable sur le lac Grundlsee. Le petit dejeuner buffet.
Le moins : accueil tres peu aimable, installations vieillotes.

gostei muito do hotel!! Café da manhã muito bom, achei desconfortável a ida até o restaurante para o café da manhã!! Quando está chovendo ou nevando, também achei a comida servida sem graça e com o preço muito caro pelo sabor!!!
