The hotel is right next to the ferry dock and is so simple to get to. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. They're especially understanding if German isn't your first language. I stayed in the accommodation building which was an easy 4-5 min walk from the main building and even being in a ground floor room I had the best lake and mountain views. Staff also helped with bags to the room. The buildings are centrally located and easy to get around. Food at the hotel restaurant was amazing, service was amazing and well priced for Hallstatt. Would recommend!

We had a lovely time at this hotel! The place itself is beautiful and well-maintained. A huge shoutout to the room service staff who were prompt and professional. However, be aware that the on-site restaurant charges a €6 cover fee per person just to sit down, regardless of whether you are a guest or not. While the food was good, this extra charge felt a bit steep. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

What truly stood out was the overall experience. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable, the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional, and the amenities were well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. From check-in to check-out, everything felt seamless and welcoming. It was clear that great care is taken to ensure guests feel at home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The room is different as it’s not at the main building. And 10 mins walk from the main hotel to the unit.

Stuff are unfriendly. And it’s over priced.

Check in strictly at 3pm and when check out their counter staff only operated at 8am when we are rushing for 0810 ferry.

The hotel’s location is perfect, right next to the boat station and I’m so glad I chose to stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony view of the lake was absolutely incredible. I enjoyed having coffee on the balcony while watching both the sunrise and the sunset.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, and the service at the restaurant was splendid.

Seriously the best location in Hallstatt. One of our windows faced the lake. The other window faced the famous church. What a view! We can see sunrise and market crowd and ferry traffic below us everyday. We can walk to any location conveniently because we are right in the center of town. The room is spacious and quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. They provided L’Occitane products which were amazing. Quality tea bags with loose tea leaves. Breakfast was quality. Oh we even tried out the sauna which was private and cool! Friendly staff. All in all the best hotel for our honeymoon!

Please be made aware that the rooms in this hotel is spread across different buildings in different places in the town, one as far as 10min walk in the streets from the main building where the reception is. And breakfast is served in the main building, so you’ll have to walk across town to have your breakfast if your assigned room is in the farthest building.

1박 하기엔 부담스러운 가격이었지만
결코 돈이 아깝지 않은 힐링을 할 수 있었다. 물론 할슈타트 자연이 주는 힐링이 가장 컸겠지만 레이크뷰에서 느낄 수 있는 호수의 평화로움이 너무 좋았다. 1박만 예약한걸 살짝 후회했을 정도. 레스토랑에서의 송어요리 식사도 너무 좋았다.

The fact that our room was in the 3rd building of the hotel which was a 5 minute walk from the main lobby was disappointing.
Paying almost $500 a night for this was not satisfying.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean. The lake view from our balcony was great.

Our rate included the breakfast buffet. A good variety of hot & cold items. We particularly liked the fresh fruit, breads, Kaiserschmarrn, yogurt, espresso, and teas.

Easy walk from hotel to local sites, boat rides/ferry, restaurants, and shopping.

Great location right next to ferry station/dock. Lovely building. Great view of lake from window. Clean, spacious and good breakfast including some cooked items (sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes).
Pros - location, breakfast, seperate toilet room in bathroom, comfortable bed
Cons - pillows too soft (we asked for different pillow but they just gave us another to add to 2 we already had), no air-conditioning in room (small pedestal fan) room was quite warm even in cooler weather, shower bath combo small and slippery with shower head in weird spot, quiet except to people above moving around (we were on “4th” floor and sounded like a herd of elephants above us at times!) Overall a good place to stay, expensive due to location, but Hallstatt is just so beautiful it makes it worth it!

Location is unique with great views. Front desk came across not polite. Also they charged me 45E extra for my child although i had booked a superior room. Hotel staff not at all warm and did not feel welcomed.When asked about places to visit nearby, they asked me to go to the city tourist information center.However, the location is very convinient with great views. I would not book this hotel again. No AC at thus property

What an amazing experience- probably best hotel we stayed- staff is very friendly and helped us with large luggage, place is spectacular, best sleep, pure alpine water right out of the faucet and everything though about in details, such as comfortable bed, coffee tea, delicious breakfast, amazing dinner menu with wild mushrooms, forest berries and so much more. Sewer smell!

Hotel is nice and restaurants does service great food. We stayed for three nights and no complain for the first two nights. The last night however was horrible strong sewer smell that would come and go. Since the hotel does not have AC you want to open window and door, but we barely couldn’t. The hotel staff came and checked a few times but because smell come and go they could not do anything. We had to move our luggage the day before to the car so it would not stink.

Truly the greatest stop of our journey through the Alps this summer. We were torn whether to stay outside the city center at one of the other communities around Hallstatt but in the end we took the plunge and stayed at Heritage and it didn’t disappoint. We were able to amble through its quiet streets at night amidst the drizzle and rain and it was perfect. Throw in a good meal at the restaurant there when the other places in town were closed or fully booked and I’d go back again and again if I could. What a magical place Hallstatt is and what a way to complement it by the hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite, but it was located in a different building. A bellhop placed our luggage in a motorized carrier, and we hoofed it up to the site with his guidance. This might have been a tough climb for some folks, but we didn't have any trouble and the view/room were amazing. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were delicious.

The balcony rooms are small but nice. NO AIRCONDITIONING and the window was left open on a hot day when we arrived. Hard to cool off the room to sleep. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. The breakfast and dinner overlooking the lake was great.

I recently stayed at the Heritage Hotel Hallstatt with my daughter during a trip across Europe. We stayed in one of the lake view rooms that had it's own balcony and two chairs. We were very pleased with our room and the view. Unfortunately, our stay was during a heatwave across Europe, and like many other hotel rooms we got, this did not have air conditioning. Public parking for the room is 1.4 miles away and a shuttle bus got us within maybe 1000ft of our hotel. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast was good.

This older hotel was very pleasant but certainly not fancy. Breakfast was nice. Our room overlooked the lake but also the parking lot (they all do). You have to park at the far end of the town and take a shuttle. Hallstatt is very crowded of course. Look into staying just outside the village in the direction of Obertraun. Looked like some nice much quieter options there.

The view of the lake was magnificent. The views and heritage homes were wonderful. The amount of day tourists were alarming, and the fact the way they behaved.

As for the room itself, it was great. My only two issues were that the shower could not be properly adjusted and would always spray out onto the floor. And it was very hot without air conditioning. A fan was provided which helped a little.

The hotel is just a few steps from the ferry, which made it really convenient and easy to find. The location is excellent—close to everything, and very easy to get around.

The room itself was quite good—clean and comfortable. However, for the price, it is on the expensive side compared to other nearby options.

Check-in was okay, but I didn’t feel especially welcomed by the front desk staff. They weren’t particularly friendly, but perhaps that’s just their natural style. It wasn’t a bad experience—just not what I’d expect from a hotel at this price point.

Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if location is your top priority.

This property was the perfect place to stay in beautiful Rothenburg ob de Taube! It's rustic and history rich decor felt warm and inviting the moment we stepped in. Our room was beautifully decorated and the terrace had a stunning view of the surrounding area. We even had a stork nest on the rooftop nextdoor! The room was clean, very comfortable, spacious, bed was cozy and bathroom big. The breakfast was also very delicious. We can't wait to come back!!

Our night at the Heritage Hotel Hallstatt was one of the most memorable parts of our honeymoon. From the moment we stepped off the ferry and saw the hotel nestled right along the lake, we knew we were in for something special.

The room was absolutely stunning—modern, cozy, and spacious, with jaw-dropping views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Waking up in Hallstatt, opening the windows, and seeing that mirror-like water with alpine peaks behind it? Unreal.

The hotel perfectly blends traditional Austrian charm with modern comfort, and the location is unbeatable—right in the heart of town, but peaceful and quiet. It’s also just a short walk to the ferry and everything Hallstatt has to offer.

Service was warm and professional, and everything felt smooth and easy from check-in to checkout. We only stayed one night, but it was the kind of place we didn’t want to leave.

If you’re going to Hallstatt, this is the place to stay. Magical, romantic, and worth every second.

Highly disappointing and not as expected. This property has three buildings spaced far apart on uneven pathways. Reception is at the ferry landing. This is the hotel face you see in the pictures when creating your reservation, but it is not necessarily the location of your stay. We and a staff member walked quite a distance with
our bags before we finally arrived at our annexed suite. We were advised there was an elevator, but to get to it, we had to climb quite a steep flight of stairs. We paid a high price for Lakeside rooms only to find we had a stunning view of a a crane and major construction work.Anyone with mobility issues would be well advised to reconsider their stay or confirm that there is a definite mobility access. At least the restaurant in the main reception annex ( a hike) served a great breakfast and dinner was delicious. Staff were accommodating and spoke English well.
