This elegant hotel is situated in the centre of Bad Ischl directly beside the River Traun. The closest stop for public transport is only 200 m from the hotel.

Housed in a building that dates back to 1780 and was completely renovated in 2003, the hotel comprises 56 rooms spread over 4 floors. Guests are offered a cosy restaurant, a bar, a caf and a public Internet terminal.

Das Zimmer entsprach den auf der Website dargestellten Fotos nicht. Dieses Zimmer ist zudem in den öffentlich zugänglichen Bildmaterialien des Hotels nicht abgebildet.
Auf unsere Beschwerde an der Rezeption konnte kein adäquates Lösungskonzept angeboten werden. Ein Mitarbeiter teilte uns lediglich mit, dass die Fotos auf der Website bereits aktualisiert worden seien, die Renovierungsarbeiten jedoch nicht in allen Zimmern durchgeführt wurden.

The two girls that helped me out were extremely helpful and kind. One was a bit newer, the other had been there a while. They went out of their way to let me in the gym until they closed, as well as helped me out with tea, and recommendation.

I didn’t have wifi in my room and they did their best to get the wifi situated in a way that helped me. I didn’t end up getting better signal, but it was the effort on their part that showed me they were willing to go above and beyond.

Close trip to Hallstatt, and Bad Ischl itself was beautiful. Wish there were more open food options but if you look hard enough or ask for recommendations you can find a couple good ones. Great location right by the water, restaurant had a fantastic steak, and breakfast buffet was also very good. Will return one day.

BUYER BEWARE!

I clearly stated 2 adults + 2 children when ordering a \"Family Room\" pictured showing bunk beds for the children. I was charged an additional 90 Euros (45/child) and was told they charge for the number of people in the room regardless of my disclosure of four people at the outset. As I see it, I paid 90 extra Euros to rent two towels.

The reservation said parking was included, but it wasn't and the lot wasn't terribly far, but was still inconvenient. We got charged extra for our dog, which is fine, but this should have been indicated when making the reservation.

7 nights in Bad Ischl.

Fantastic hotel located on the river in Bad Ischl. We had a room with balcony over looking the river and the surrounding countryside wish is stunning. Wonderful wellness centre on the first floor. Breakfast excellent and only reason I didn’t give full marks for service was that there were internet issues on a couple of days…. Not the fault of the hotel I’m sure. Great spot for exploring the magnificent countryside surrounding this town.

Highly disappointed. Very rude & unfriendly staff.

Location is great, my room was great but the staff (with exception of one wonderful person) were absolutely awful. After three months traveling Europe this was one of the worst experiences I had. I’m a seasoned traveler and can roll with just about anything but I can not tolerate unfriendly, unhelpful people, and biased people.

I asked for information that I was unable to find myself (obviously) and the staff members reaction was “ Why couldn’t you look that up and figure it out on your own ? (pointing to my iPad) I honestly couldn’t believe it. If this is her reaction to a foreigner asking a question then she is in the wrong industry.

The appropriate response should have been, how can I help you? Yes, I’d be glad to. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Apart from that, there were some other incidents which would be in appropriate to list here.

Hotel has great potential but they need better staff.

Overall I loved the property. Recently renovated, great bathrooms! Terrific views (we had a balcony overlooking the river, great location! Breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that the bed was quite firm. If you like a soft bed, this isn’t for you.

Great staff

The staff was wonderful, As we traveled we only know a little of the languages. Just basics so when it came time to eat and we chose to eat the the hotel, the staff was extremely accommodating. The front staff was also very helpful. Gave us good recommendation for traveling instead of the train. The location is good also.

Excellent service in a beautiful part of Austria.

We relied on public transport to usher us around this beautiful part of Austria and because of the position of the hotel (less than a 10 minute stroll along the riverside to bus and train station) it suited us perfectly.
Our hotel room didn't have the benefit of a view of the river, however the only noise at night (with the windows open) was the sound of church bells. The hotel room was very clean, as was the bathroom which had the added bonus of a shower/bath. There was plenty of storage space and the bed was extremely comfortable.
There was a vast selection of food and drink available at breakfast, and the three members of staff were very professional and efficient.
All staff at the hotel were friendly and keen to help. I did appreciate the discount on our trip up Katrin due to purchasing the cable car tickets at the hotel (although it wasn't advertised).

A very nice room in a central location

Hotel owner's sister checked us in and kindly gave us a tour of possible rooms. Our double deluxe plus room was very comfortable and clean, quiet, and had a wonderful panoramic view of the river and hills. Hotel staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Advertised coffee and tea in the lobby was not there, though pay room service was available.

Reasonably close to the train station, within the \"downtown\" area of the city. Nice location for walks along the river. We stayed in the family suite which can hold five people. Very quiet location and a great free breakfast was included.

We took this hotel for 3 nights and traveled around. Hotel location and the free parking were excellent for our trip. Our Classic Double room wasn't specious, but ok. It had a window to the back side of the hotel which was very silent. Breakfast was fine. Lack of A/C could be a problem in warmer weather.

호텔은 리모델링하여 깔끔합니다. 그러나 냉장고가 없으며 조용이 어둡습니다. 벽뷰인데 외부에 거울를 달아 거울을 통해 강뷰가 보입니다. 그리고 최고의 강점은 방음이 좋으며 조식 퀄리티가 좋습니다. 캐리어 보관용 락커가 무료로 사용할수 있어 좋았습니다.

호텔 내 주차장이 없어서 인근 주차장에 주차해야 합니다. 체크인하고 방에 들어갔는데 청소상태가 안 좋았습니다. 침대에는 머리카락들이 엄청 많았어요. 다시 청소해주긴 했습니다. 방은 넓어서 좋았어요! 위치도 괜찮아서 주변 산책하기 좋았습니다. 하지만 일층에 있는 레스토랑은 별로였어요!

Third stay in this hotel. Nothing to compain, walking distance to the heart of Bad Ischl, directly at the river banks. Parking is 100 m down the road but one can drop off luggage at the entrance.

Ein und auschecken ist korrekt gewesen aber von der KuK freundlichkeit nichts gespürt. Zimmergrösse und Ausstattung für 1-2 Nächte akzeptabel. Eignet sich nur für kurzaufenthalt, was die zahlreiche fernöstliche Gäste auch bewiesen haben. Zimmerwände sind renovationsbedürftig. Welnessbereich ist nur absolutes Minimum.
Einzig Lage ist top.

Für mich eine in jederlei Hinsicht positive Erfahrung: freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, grosszügig und schön gestaltete neue Wellness-Anlage (die ich auch am Abreisetag nochmals nutzen durfte), sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück mit (nach meiner Anfrage) laktosefreien Produkten - den einzigen \"Mangel\", den ich finden könnte: die Sanduhr in der Sauna hat nicht richtig funktioniert. Wenn es nur das ist, dann ist es prima - und so war mein Aufenthalt. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - wenn die Anreise nicht so weit wäre, ich würde regelmässig hier nächtigen.

A bit difficult to find even by navigation system. Parking close by and not too expensive. Free of charge between 18:00 and 08:00 on the street.

Für Parken im Hotel muss man bezahlen. Klimaanlage defekt. Waschbecken verstopft. Also 4* sind das nicht. Frühstück auch nicht besonders. Vom Personal an der Rezeption erwartet man sich auch was anderes.
