We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is traditionally styled but immaculately clean and our room was more the size of a suite. The staff we encountered were all friendly and very helpful. We had breakfast each day and the buffet selection was fantastic and fresh daily. We also had drinks and dinner, and the food quality was excellent. The area around the hotel is quiet and a 10 min walk to the Sparta Prague stadium so perfect for us as we were attending a game but if you want to go to the centre of Prague, you are a 40 min walk or around £6 in an Uber. Highly recommend Hotel Schwaiger

I stayed there with my Mom and ny daughter. Staff and customer service was great. Everybody, esp the front desk, were polite and helpful! We took Bolt everywhere since we did not want to walk to the train station. The rides where only 10-15 mins always. So I guess it is really close to everything. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good every morning. I definitely recommend it.

Staff was very personable was rather disappointed though that I had to be charged for toothpaste and a toothbrush something that I know is provided by any regular hotel or place of lodging. Was also charged for a bottle of water? The bathtub was not cleaned after I showered they just replaced the towels.

Room was spacious and nice. Otherwise I would definitely consider stating here again if ever I was in the area.

If we are in Prague, we’re staying at this hotel - convenient, quiet, clean, friendly staff, very close to Stromovka park. Breakfast is nice - our son was so happy about making his own pancake! The restaurant with Spanish dishes for dinner is very nice and food was very tasty - even having small kids menu and also a kids corner outside, a big plus for us with the little one. We’re looking forward to our next stay here! :-)

I stayed in the Garden suite. I loved the ease of access of having my own entry. The room and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. I also loved the breakfast options. The food was great and the setting was lovely. I enjoyed the closeness to the park to run in the mornings. I would stay again next time I'm in Prague.

Such an amazing weekend, with the hotel being one of the best we’ve stayed at. The included breakfast every morning was great, the room itself was beautiful, and the area was quiet. We slept like a dream every single night, and the staff were so so helpful. We even got a free mini bottle of champagne which was a nice touch. The mini-bar beers were very reasonable (£1.75 each) - I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Prague.

The hotel is in accessible because it was road construction surrounding the hotel. Parking was not available as stated. Only street parking if you could find. Arriving in the rain there was no easy access to the hotel and to drag luggage. Great first impression. The room was ok except for the presence of cigarette smoke. I complained but they say it’s fine. It wasn’t. I have allergies and I couldn’t sleep in this cigarette reeked facility. Our instinct was to leave at the beginning of of stay but we prepaid. Breakfast included was barely passible. Runny scrambled cold eggs is not my thing. Only the coffee was good. I would not recommend this hotel unless you like getting to your room via an outside corridor like a motel in Florida. When it’s raining you are wet getting to your room.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Walkable to the public transport system that takes you anywhere (for free if you’re 65+!) there is a great restaurant on site, multiple parks close by with all the sites of Prague near by. Every staff member was friendly and knowledge. Each of them made our week in Prague wonderfully memorable. A huge “Thank you” to all of them!!

We stayed here 4 years ago and appreciated the size of the room, the mini frig, great shower, service, and room/bathroom lighting. There was no AC and like all hotels, the room was a little warm. Really good breakfast. Unfortunately the restaurant is still closed but we were able to get ice every night. Beds are a little firm.

One note for Hotels.com Gold Members, the \"guaranteed\" late check out suggested on the website was declined by the Hotel, despite advance notice. Full occupancy, the explanation.

Great Accommodation, but walking required!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Schwaiger for three nights. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. We walked from the train station (about a 25 minute walk including hills). The only negative about this hotel is that the location is quite far from the touristy center of Prague (it is in an area where the locals live, and quite a few embassies). The staff arranged a driver to take us to the train station when we left which was helpful. It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop to take you into Prague city centre, or about a 20-30 minute walk (mainly downhill). We are 28 years old and fast walkers. You can also buy metro/tram tickets from the hotel lobby. Complimentary breakfast was great, they have a wide array of choices! Room was spacious and a very comfortable bed. Across the street there is a pub that we went one night that has live music as well as a quieter pub/dinner section. We could hear people outside the pub pretty late into the night through the window. All in all, would recommend if you like walking! Otherwise, you may want to consider accommodation closer into town.

One of the best hotel in Europe

Love the warm welcome late when check-in late at night. The hotel has concierge service so it is good to receive an overview introduction with a map of the city upon check-in.

Hotel room is newly furbished and in great condition. Big and quiet. Super clean toilet without moldy grout on the wall. Super clean toilet seat. Bed is comfortable. High ceiling.

One plus point is the working desk is separate from the sleeping area so if someone needs to work a bit or have work phone call, it won't affect the other who is sleeping.

Breakfast is excellent. Not a lot of variety but good quality and good to get you going in the morning without having the look for breakfast nearby.

Location is a bit far away from the city but we uber out to downtown and it is not too expensive.

Love it and hope to return one day.

A little out of the center of Prague but only 2 stops on the metro and a 10 minute walk. Metro felt very safe even late at night so no problem.
Cleanest hotel we can remember being in and room was generous in size with very comfortable bed.
Were in Prague for 5 days and the 2 best meals we had were at the hotel restaurant - fabulous & the braised beef cheeks were sensational.
We spent a whole day in the park opposite the hotel it was so beautiful and tranquil.
We will definitely use again if we return to Prague..

The room was very comfortable with a great AC and breakfast. The staff offered lots of helpful advice and we used the free bikes to explore the park that was right across the street. We did not use the hotel organized parking but found easy and cheap parking near the police station. We really enjoyed the food at their restaurant as well. Because this area is higher its also also excellent for walking to the castle.

Hotel was exceptional in every way. The bonus was the unbelievable helpfulness of the staff. We were met with courtesy, and genuine care for all our needs. Joseph gave us a tour map of Prague and helped us navigate our way to the sites of the city. The hotel even has tram tickets available to purchase, umbrellas for the rain and drivers to take us to the airport. Don’t forget the fabulous breakfast included in the room price!!!’

Highly recommended!

Amazing customer experience, lovely safe setting and an extremely clean and well run hotel. The breakfast was very well done and organised too, and there were lovely little touches in the room such as chocolates and a small bottle of bubbly. The only minor things are that a lot of light gets in around the side of the window blind and that the walls between rooms are very thin, so I did get woken up on the final night. However, overall I did sleep well and the stay was extremely comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!!

The area of the hotel is in a lovely part of town out of the centre but close enough. We loved the room, the breakfast is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We walk in the nearby park, a really beautiful park. The restaurant annexed to the hotel served well made Czech traditional cuisine the food are amazing!

Amazing hotel, great location - perfect for family

Thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at this hotel, which included our first trip with a 6m old baby. The hotel was accommodating from the get go, provided a free cot bed and upgraded our room to a larger size to accommodate the paraphernalia that goes along with a small baby! All the staff were extra helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had all the help and info we needed, even including recommendations for places to go to in the city. The hotel itself is located in the Embassy District, which gave it a very safe and secure feeling generally.
We were also given chocolates and a bottle of champers during our stay (the hotel's way of keeping its people happy!) and it was genuinely a nice touch.
The actual accommodation was also faultless, built in a converted villa from 1890s but recently redeveloped so everything was shiny new and spotlessly clean.

Love this hotel! Great service with reasonable price. Young gents at the reception are very friendly and helpful. Joseph is a star. They gave us helpful information of Prague. We went to Prague Zoo walked through the nearby city park and crossed the river by short boat rides, thanks to their tips and was a great fun. The room was spotless and have shower with good water pressure. Breakfast is yummy and have lots of selection. My kids enjoyed juicer and waffle maker! Restaurant in the hotel is kids friendly and delicious and you can get 10% discount. Highly recommend. Want to come back again!

The staff at this hotel are the highlight of the trip! Outstandingly friendly, with great senses of humor, continuously going above and beyond to make your stay better!

Upon check-in, we were given an extensive overview of the key tourists attractions in Prague, whilst also given a really insightful explanation on the tram and metro systems, even able to purchase travel cards at the hotel.

The hotel room is very nice too, especially for the price paid, with compliments to the maid as their work is well above and beyond what i have experienced at other hotels, kindly folding and organising all clothes, whilst also hanging shirts and trousers neatly in the wardrobe. A well appreciated touch! Compared to the UK, minibar prices for Water and Coca-cola being very reasonable at 40czk, which was great when we arrived at the hotel late at night.

Unknown to us before our stay, there is actually a restaurant connected to the hotel, in which hotel guests receive 10% off the bill. Due to some of the nice restaurants in Prague requiring a reservation a few days in advanced, we ate in the connecting restaurant on our first day. The service and food were outstanding! The food was well priced considering the high quality of the ingredients and portion size, with incredibly kind staff, with perfectly spoken English and a great sense of humour. The Homemade vanilla pudding is phenomenal and well worth a try!

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff are warm, friendly and efficient (Igor on reception is a star), the rooms are very clean and spacious, and the choice and quality and breakfast is brilliant. It is an easy 10 minute walk from Hradcanska for trams and metro, especially if you don't mind a small flight of steps. We will be back.

My room was on the second floor (there are rooms on the third, but the lift only goes up to two). I found a large comfortable bed, desk, plenty of power sockets and strong WiFi. The bathroom was a decent size with a very good shower and lots of amenities in case you didn't bring anything.

The room was spotlessly clean and we were provided with a few chocolates to welcome us along with a large bottle of complimentary water. On other days, we found biscuits left in our rooms which was a nice touch.

Breakfast was typically European but a very high quality - the waffle machine was very much appreciated!

The hotel itself is recently renovated and has an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed a fantastic meal one evening.

The only negatives are that the hotel was 10 minutes away from the nearest tram/metro stop and the walk there was uphill and on cobbled streets which whilst fine for our group, may be problematic for someone with mobility issues. My TV didn't tune into channels which I am sure was an easy fix if I had asked, but as I wasn't watching TV it didn't bother me. Also the room was quite warm and I only had some small windows to allow it to cool down.

Now normally these little issues would lead to me marking down a hotel, but Hotel Schwaig

Stayed in a junior suite when I visited Prague last month to celebrate my birthday.

Everything is tastefully decorated, clean and cosy. Breakfast was great, although the choice is not extensive, there's stil a good selection of cooked food, cold meats, fruits and bread, and there's even a waffle machine and juicer.

We also dined at the restaurant onsite and the food was pretty good.

I pre-booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel as we had an evening arrival. But you can take public transport if you wanted to.

The nearest metro station is Hradcanska and you can take the tram from the city centre to this station. It's then a 10 minute walk to the hotel.

We were impressed with the staff, particularly the young gents at reception. They were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Igor was so patient and spent ages answering our questions. They're a credit to the hotel!

We we're greeted by Joseph. A very sweet young man who was very helpful in helping us with anything we needed. It was a short 20-30 min walk from hotel to so many things to do. You truly don't need a underground pass if you are able to walk. We purchased a 3 day pass and only used it once a day. The hotel is in a very safe area. Breakfast had lots of wonderful choices. The only negative was the Hotel only had one Iron so if someone else had it you had to leave all wrinkled.

We loved our stay at Hotel Schwaiger and would stay there again. The staff were *exceptionally* friendly and helpful, and the adjoining restaurant was delicious with several gluten free options. Though not near main Prague attractions, the metro stop was only a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and the hotel reception conveniently sells metro passes. Overall a big win!

Highly recommend

Couldn’t ask for more, on arrival we where met by very friendly and helpful staff and this continued throughout our stay. Room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great.
Location just a short walk away from the town and local attractions.
Couldn’t ask for more, comes highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Prague

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The front desk staff were helpful and gave excellent recommendations. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant attached has excellent food and service.

Staff couldn't do enough for you

We have just spent 4 days at Hotel Schwaiger and I cannot praise it enough. The attention to detail is obvious from the complementary chocolates, macaroons and bottle of fizz you find in your room, the free bike hire on request at reception ,and the friendly advice from staff on reception. Breakfast is very good and the buffet is replenished frequently.

Not bad for last night stay in Prague

Our one night stay was great. The rooms were large enough and the rooms were nice and clean. I stoped at the restaurant downstairs where the people were friendly too. Loved the convenience but wasn’t too many options for a vegetarian. The are is good but not much to do in walking distance. Parking was not spacious and it was no parking garage available. Overall, we liked our stay.

Strongly recommend! Everything perfect!!

We stayed 4 nights for vocation. Everything was perfect. I cannot find another better word to describe the staying in Hotel Schwaiger. The stuff at reception always warm-heart, ready to provide all the necessary information and help. The room is clean and well designed, not lately fashion but comfortable. Decoration in bathroom is lately done, clean and well performance. The only issue (not a real issue) is that you have to walk 8 minutes with slope to take the public traffic, but still I will strongly recommend Hotel Schwaiger if you would like to take a short walk. All the service and facilites are worth that. Breakfast was full of options that meet your various demand, both warm and cold food. The place for breakfast were tidy and looked comfortably. We had breakfast at the table with big window, which made us a good mood to enjoy the first food in each morning. I will definitely stay here next time I back to Prague.

Outstanding, delightful and friendly place

We were absolutely delighted by the service and quality offered by Schwaiger personnel. Everyone was extremely kind and made us feel really comfortable. We received a free upgrade to a junior suite, which was very nice decorated and had several meals at the restaurant. Everything that we ordered was delicious and we would come back with no hesitation again!! The included breakfast must not be left behind, they had healthy options included and was very varied. What you can see on THE website PICTURES IS REAL!! THIS IS A MUST, if you're staying in Prague.

When we arrived the room was still being cleaned, as we got there before check in time. The host from reception offered us two bicycles free off charge and explained everything we had to know about the transportation and city. After the bike-ride our room was ready and we were able to get an early check-in, without extra charge. This is just one of the many surprises we received. I will not tell you about how we were surprised everyday, so you can experience it by yourself ;)

Nice hotel close to Embassies

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Hotel Schwaiger in Prague. The hotel is located near a few Embassies e.g. Chinese, Arab and is in a quiet neighbourhood. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of Czech menus and breakfast was included during our stay. Fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, sausages, bacon along with pastries and bread, tea and coffee, juice and smoothies are their breakfast staples. On the day when we checked out, a bottle of champagne was opened during our breakfast for us to celebrate our stay there. We were also presented with macarons and a small bottle of brut in our room on certain days of our stay there. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating (Igor, Jan, Josef and all others) and we had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Schwaiger.

Excellent stay at Hotel Schwaiger in Praha

The front desk staff are to be recommended. We arrived at the hotel and was greeted by Igor at the front desk. He welcomed us with a big smile and explained in detail about the hotel's amenities and gave us each a map and highlighted places to visit, how to get there and so on. We feel so welcomed and knew that we have chosen the right hotel for our stay in Prague. There are also Young, Josef and 'Junior Young' at the front desk that provided excellent service to us.

A fabulous Find !

I can honestly say I had a fabulous stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. A special mention to Josef and Igor, who both gave such helpful advice on their city. I have already recommended to friends. The restaurant is superb and the hotel itself is a little gem !

Hotel with character close to city centre

Great experience at Schwaiger Hotel Prague. Very pleasant staff, quality accommodation, great bed, cable TV with international channels. Had the best dish I had in a long time at the restaurant (Deer with Chestnut Puree and Chocolate Sauce). Waitress Martina offered the best service. Really delighted to have picked the Schwaiger Hotel.

Nery nice hotel in safe area.

Very nice hotel and breakfast buffet was very good. Restaurant on site is very good. Wifi was not working but all in all very nice experience.
