We loved it here! It is so centrally located you can go off resort and explore/ eat the best food! The staff is incredible here all working extremely hard for hours on end. We really enjoyed the hacienda side and would recommend that if you want the option to be at an adults only pool. Our room was a little loud at night but nothing to complain about. Buffets are decent, definitely a level up from Dominican but did get a bit repetitive however we left resort for other restaurants as there are soooo many amazing options. Bar can make you any drink possible and offers more premium liquor if you ask. Overall we loved it here and would return in a heartbeat.

We did have a great vacation at The Hacienda, however a few points that definitely need to be acknowledged.
We left our room for about 20mins when we first arrived and in that time, we had $60.00 US dollars stolen from our room. Unfortunately we had not put our items in to the safe at that point. On us for that, but didn't love how it was handled either. Obviously not a huge amount of money but still felt like a violation. The room itself is beautiful but the walls are paper thin. The sound proofing is pretty non existent. Other than that, the food options are some of the best from an all inclusive I have been to. The pool areas and beach area are all amazing as well. Would have given a much higher rating if not for the two things mentioned. Would still reccomend though!

The place is cute & nice but the food, drinks were horrible! & even the employees are not the nicest, we unfortunately had our beach backpack stolen & the employees & security are very useless & they were being shady even some of the employees say that there are people that like to steal, we were asking everyone & everyday & still nothing I’m sure one of the employees stole our bag & they all cover for each other, we also did a report & said they will get back to us in 72 hrs & no update, we also have reach out & no responses
& on top of it there was mold on the headboard

The Hacienda grounds were beautiful and Seafood restaurant had good options, tasty and great service. Check inn was easy as well. I had stayed at the Krystal in the past when it was a Hilton and would say that it is really showing its age and is in need of a serious upgrade. Food needs improvement outside of the Seafood restaurant. Just seemed to be lower standard and quality. The construction was also a bit of a distraction of our relaxation. I probably won’t be back unless I read in the future that there has been improvements. It’s too bad really because this resort (Hacienda) has big potential.

I booked this resort based on reviews off youtube, Expedia and trivago. It’s an okay resort but the food options was very disappointing. I’ve stayed at all inclusive resorts in Mexico but this place really threw me off. They had 4 restaurant options between the Krystal grand and La hacienda, and only took few reservations per day. The buffet barely had any food optionals. For anyone that is a vegetarian or pescatarian, you have two or three options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was decent. Even Mexican night was disappointing. Barely had any seafood options and there was quite a bit of cross-contamination. The drinks were watery and room service charges 150 peso per order. Room service was good but you did have to wait an hour for food. We ordered around 1030/11pm. One night they had no room service at all. Dessert is good.

They didn’t provide shuttle service to go to downtown or from the airport. They told me it’s easier to get a cab, but they failed to inform you the prices of a cab for 10 mins is about 70$ USD. Grab an uber, just gotta walk 5 mins to the other side of the airport to catch one.

Rooms were clean and the cleaners were efficient. Staff is friendly but not as helpful.

Pools were nice but I found that they needed to upkeep it which they didn’t, especially considering it’s bee season and there were bees floating around.

Overall I would give it a 5.5/10 or 3 stars. it’s mid and you can find better places for the same price.

The room didn’t have any doors between the bed and the bathroom, then the toilet didn’t have a door either, we didn’t have a phone in the room, and they ignored our room service request in their chat for over and hour, they just helped us once we went to complain at the front desk, food is bad, staff is not helpful at all.

We only received a good service from Aldo and Felix at the beach area.

Terrible experience, do not recommend at all.

The property was very nice. The swim out room was great for getting away from crowds and having our own private area, however it isn't accessible to the main resort area. You have to walk through your room and back through the lobby or around the buildings to go to the main areas. Not a true swim out room. Private room drink service was dependent on how busy the pool was. Overall still fantastic and would do it again.
The à la carte restaurants were so good and I highly recommend Il Formaggio for the best steak. The buffet was very hit or miss however. Be sure to stop at El Rincon for some excellent coffee anytime!

This hotel has a beautiful property & a relaxing vibe but it’s clear that it isn’t being properly maintained. We experienced issues with our room almost every day of our stay. The AC didn’t work, there looked to be mold on the ceiling & on some of the pictures, switches were dirty & the mini fridge wasn’t working. Housekeeping failed to leave towels on one of the days.
One day the key card reader to our room stopped working. We were locked out for most of the day, it felt like we were being given the runaround. When they finally came to fix the door, they drilled a hole near the handle to get it open—leaving a dime-sized opening that felt like a peep hole. That alone was unsettling.
One day the property ran out of water & when it came back on, the toilet, sink, and shower were running brown water. We were told to let it run for 10 minutes, but even after 30 minutes it was still brown. While we were running the shower, worms appeared on the floor, which was unsettling. Our last day the key card failed again. After the first time, we were afraid to leave the room & risk being locked out right before our flight. We ended up sitting in the room instead of enjoying our last day. The food wasn’t great, so head next door instead. The staff were friendly & welcoming & the location made commuting easy (tell your driver “face potatoes”—they’ll know). Despite all the issues, no one attempted to make things right or apologize, which was disappointing. Beautiful place, rooms need TLC!

The room was nice. The pool staff, housekeepers and most building staff were great. We ran into problems when we tried tongetbthe swimout that we paid exta for fixed. The jets were not running and it was dirty nothing was moving or being filtered. They sent someone over and he skimmed the top and left. We went down multiple times to get it fixed and only once did someone come to look. We paid extra to have it and couldnt use it and we were not refunded any money. Anytime we would ask the front desk for assistance the were dismissive and at times rude.

I’ve never written a hotel review, but my experience at The Hacienda at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta was so awful I need to warn others. We were put in four different rooms over four nights and never unpacked once. We originally booked a Junior King Suite with the blue wall and decor, but what we got instead was chaos.
Room 1: Couldn’t even get in because the key system was down.
Room 2: An outdated, dirty room with two double beds, mold, stains, hair on the floor, a broken ironing board, no deadbolt, no phone, and a TV remote that didn’t work. When I brought this up, the front desk laughed and said the room type we booked “doesn’t exist,” even though you can see them from the hallway.
We were told we’d have to wait until Monday (we checked in Saturday) to get the room we paid for. Room 3 finally matched our booking, but the door didn’t lock at all. The staff suggested we “lock our suitcases,” which was insulting. A supervisor confirmed the issue and moved us again.
Room 4 was an “upgrade” with a swim-out pool, which we never used because raccoons were swimming in it. Room service was a disaster—our food took 3 hours and arrived at 2 AM.
The only good part was the bar and restaurant staff, who were excellent. But after everything we went through, we received zero compensation.
This was my first trip to Mexico, and this resort ruined it. Do not stay here.

The adult pool area was nice. We didn’t need to search for a chair. The staff were really friendly! Our room was clean, the rain shower head didn’t work though. The adult area was quiet, would not recommend this resort if you’re looking for a lively pool area.

The food options weren’t great and if you didn’t book an al a carte early, you were eating at the family buffet. The breakfast buffet was good but I wasn’t impressed with the evening buffet and it was very loud.

The alcohol options were good name brand liquors.

I truly enjoyed every moment I spent at this location. I stayed at La Hacienda which is the adults only part and it was absolutely relaxing. Maribel at the cafe in the front was outstanding. She really took care of us as much as she could and if I ever stay again at La Hacienda is because of her. The whole staff goes above and beyond for everyone. The hotel is also very close to everything. I felt very safe and welcomed here.

We really enjoyed our time here in our swim out room on the Hacienda side. Being able to jump in our own pool everyday, was the best way to beat the heat, and once the waiters realized we were out there they would pop through the bushes to bring us drinks, which was amazing.

The afternoon thunderstorms were not a problem and actually beautiful to watch and listen too.

The Talavera restaurant was our favorite, but we also tried La Catrina and Il Delice. La Catrina was second and Il Delice was just okay. We ate at the Hacienda buffet every morning and got great omelettes.

The only con of coming in the summer was mosquitos. They were a minor problem, but my wife was smart and bought a mini bug zapper which worked quite well in the room, and then bug spray and bug bands. I don't think I got bit once.

It is very hot and humid, and it is rainy, but coming in the off season worked out for us.

Upon our arrival the hotel staff was very unwelcoming. We had no idea the sister hotel was next to us. We had no direction of where any of the amenities were like the gym or pools. We were given our initial room and it was extremely dirty. There was hair all over the floor and the soaking tub, the second room was leaking water from the ceiling, the last room given had two double beds. I felt like the staff was annoyed we kept bringing these complaints. We were eventually given the initial room after housekeeping \"cleaned\" it but it wasn't any better. We also got the jr suite with the swim out pool and we never used it because it was so dirty the water was brown of how unclean it was. Please don't waste your money, go to another hotel!

I didnt like being pushed by every employee there to take a tour and 90 minute sales pitch about them promoting a new hotel and a 10 year plan presentation. I went for a holiday not to be harassed.
I wouldnt call the rooms swim out rooms as the indiviual pools are not connected to the main pool which is what i had assumed they meant by a swim out room.
The resturants need a bit more variety.
The raccoons and iguanas are probably the highlight of the hotel as they are very interesting to see. The bed is extreamly comfortable which is nice. I enjoyed my stay non the less as the hotel is lovely.

I just went for my birthday trip March 16-20 and overall the stay was good. The property was clean and beautiful but honestly the upkeep on some things was not good. I booked two Jr suite hacienda terrace rooms. They are HUGE! Loved all the space and the outside jacuzzi. On further inspection we realized that some things were broken. In one of the rooms, the door that separated the bedroom from the bathroom was jammed open and couldn't be closed. The bathroom tub handle for hot water did not turn on and the phone in the room did not work. The other room did not have a phone at all. When we went down to concierge to tell them they said they stepping away from phones and you would have to leave a request on WhatsApp for anything. That wasn't explained when we checked in. They did send someone to fix the bathroom door but the bathtub handle was never fix. As far a food goes, it was mostly terrible at least when it comes to the buffet. Breakfast was amazing though. I was only able to try one restaurant which was the international and it was good. Some of the restaurants are only open some days so I did not get to try most of them. You have to reserve a spot between 10AM and 2PM every day. The earlier the better. The food on the Hacienda side is better and more seasoned. The Krystal grand side was super bland. The made to order pasta night was good also at the buffet but the line is long because they only have one cook for that. Overall the staff is super friendly.

The outdoor staff around the pool was amazing and attentive, the pools were also very nice with lots of socializing.
The rooms were not all that clean, and there was one day we didnt get clean towels (6 day stay), and a couple more were we only got one towel. The amount of restaurants is misleading as three of them are only open three days per week, and almost impossible to get reservations at. If i was to stay there again, i would stay at the Krystal and use the pool at the Hacienda.
Also, the front desk concierge was less than friendly and offered almost no help for anything other than telling you to use their App (which rarely worked) to book reservations and such.
Finally, forget about getting change or Peso's at the front desk, the will direct you to bartenders to get change.

Basically, I would only stay there again for the bartenders and staff around the pool area.

Overall had a great experience. This is my second time visiting and I would definitely visit again. The food is relatively good (except for the Italian food), the entire property is clean and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our first room shower so they had to put us in another room, but I’d say that was the only issue we ran into while visiting. I love that you can access the sister hotel next door which has a rooftop adult only pool overlooking the beach.

This was our 2nd time visiting The Hacienda at Krystal Grand in PV, MX. The staff is amazing from the entry area, specially Jesus, that gives you a warm welcome, to the pool bar area. Brandon at the pool bar also granted us a home feeling with great knowledge of the drinks. At the pool area, Carlos and Cesar made our pool enjoyment as if we were in our own house.
The restaurants could improve in the food offered although the service of the waiters, Ivan and Cristian was exceptional. They were great going between tables and treating all guests with the same service.
I will definitely return to The Hacienda in the future.

Property is lush, we have stayed before. We only had a bath towel, no wash cloths or hand towels, the chair in our room was a little dirty on arrival but the staff is amazing we wood still go back. It is a great priced resort for sure. The restaurants are good, especially the avocado ice cream 😏

I had an amazing time! The workers were so helpful and extremely nice! Lots of sleep lots of drinks and lots of food was had! Can’t wait to go back! I only went to one show but definitely want to go back and enjoy all the activities that go on!

We paid extra to stay at the Hacienda, expecting a high-end, adults-only experience, but it fell far short of expectations.

In the evenings, there was nowhere to enjoy a drink within the Hacienda section, forcing us to walk to the other side of the hotel. Beach access was also unavailable from the Hacienda, requiring another trek to the main resort. The only bar available in the evenings had long lineups, making it difficult to get served.

Live music was only offered every other night, and when it did happen, the quality was disappointing. The hotel itself felt extremely run-down—bathroom doors by the pool wouldn’t close, pool tiles were coming loose, and the rooms were outdated. Worst of all, the shower smelled like sewage.

Our group of 16 has traveled extensively to all-inclusive resorts, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. I would never stay at a Krystal property again.

Nice location, right on the beach. The Hacienda, adults only section, was much quieter than the resort. Not many restaurants to choose from, the French and Italian specialty restaurants were not that special. Evening entertainment rather poor quality.

There’s a lot that’s needed to be addressed. Room service is supposed to be included in my package but they charge $10 us for each delivery. Food and liquor was horrible. Good way not to eat or Drink much. Had to leave resort to have anything that was good. Disappointed for sure.

I enjoyed my stay at Hacienda very much. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! The pool has a nice quiet vibe to it. If you are looking to relax this resort is definitely quieter than its attached sister resort at Krystal Grand.
