Hotel very dated. Rooms are awful. Sink blocked, no tv for 2 days, lizards crawling up the walls, no laundry bags in room, tea & coffee not topped up daily, crockery not removed from the room after used. Only 2 bottles of water per day complementary. La Cardinal restaurant had the same boring breakfast selection daily and the charged €55 per person for a lousy dinner buffet. Definitely not a five star as stated on some websites. I wouldn’t give it a 3 star.

The location is very good but the property is old and tired and well overdue for major revamp. We were told the hotel will close for that very purpose towards the end of 2025. Currently well short of 5 star rating...at most 3 stars.

My husband and I stayed at Fisherman's Cove resort for 1 day before ending our entire trip in Seychelles islands. The resort accommodated our early check-in and late check-out requests which was truly appreciative. The staff was friendly and attentive. I'd like to point out that our room though gorgeous with ocean view, wasn't very clean when we checked in. The room was equipped with an open shower stall which wasn't sealed completely so water was splashing everywhere. Bedsheets were semi fresh. As we were only staying for one night and we spent much of our time in the pool and ocean, we didn't bother to report. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and it's a gorgeous resort and the surrounding.

The service was great as we arrived late night while the check in was at 3pm they let us freshen up in the gym shower and had the roo. Ready by 8am. The room had AC Issues so they.upgracwd us on last day to better room. The gala di ner was good but surprisingky even for such a high charge they charged separtely for a glass of wine. Gala party was ok not very interesting. Near beach and their Parisian restaurant was good.

Första intrycket var bra med fin utsikt mot havet . Trevligt välkomnande i receptionen och dom var det hela vistelsen. Hotellet är slitet och det var ingen fräsch doft på rummet . Annars var utsikten fin från uteplatsen . Städningen var inte den bästa. Fläckar fanns kvar på golvet efter städning. Frukosten var perfekt . Tyckte inte att alltid att personalen var särskilt serviceinriktad.

Great hotel in a great location. Hotel is a really nice size, feels very intimate. Lovely mix of nationalities and great staff. Not normally a fan of hotel buffets but had some really good meals when we tried them. As per usual drinks prices are very high, seems to be an unwelcome trend all over the world in all hotels.
Our room’s were lovely. Modern, spacious and clean, with great ocean views. Nice that you can use the facilities at the bigger sister hotel just down the beach.
Overall I would highly recommend the Seychelles and this hotel.

Its just a beautiful stay in Mahe. We stayed there for the last night before leaving and thats so sweet 1-we got upgraded room. 2- when i said my flight is evening time. Staff there helped me change my checkout time to 1600 which is sooooo sweet. We r definitely going back again...

Very dated property. It is marketed on Expedia as a 5 star resort but it’s not. There is access to beach but beach is not good enough and there are no sun beds. There is no air conditioning in common areas. Even the ceiling fans in the restaurant do not function. This made the breakfast time experience really painful (Seychelles is very hot and humid). Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice resort at the far end of Beau Vallon beach. Good facilities including a gym, nice pool and very nice buffet breakfast. Restaurants were nice but expensive. Beau Vallon beach is great and has good swimming, snorkelling, bars and restaurants.

The most beautiful island ever! The hotel was perfectly positioned on the most beautiful beach on the island. Lots of dining possibilities close by. Breakfast buffet was exceptional! Lynn the operations manager was so friendly, so professional. Always a good morning to greet us every day. Cannot say enough good things about this resort. Would go back tomorrow if I could. Will really miss the hotel and the people.

The property was beautiful and beyond expectations. From the first entry the service was excellent. The room was gorgeous, large spacious and private. Our private deck with ocean view room just steps away from the ocean was perfect. The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied every morning. However, as great as the facility was, it was nothing compared to the attentiveness of all the staff. Thanks to Sharifa, Pascal, Dominic, Sharin, Rita, Sandy, Quincy and all the staff. Their attentive, gracious and pleasant attitude has us planning our return. Will definitely visit again and we have aldready recommended the Fisherman's Cove to all our friends and family.

Property is ok. But not up to the mark for resort. No extra facility other than swimming pool and Restaurent. Staff was not proactive and helpful. Snorkeling equipment was to be provided by hotel but we did not get even once during whole stay. No smile or welcoming note on staff face. Last day even no staff was there to help in getting our luggage from room or load in car. I think management is more focusing on their other property story resort.

Fisherman's Cove was beautiful! The entrance is stunning and then rest of the areas and views are great, as well. Staff was so very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they changed the bed sheets and towels every day without asking - this leads to a waste of water and electricity; for a resort that tries to be environmentally friendly they should have given the option. I was very impressed by my stay here!

The pool was ready to use but kept closed.
Next door beach provided was difficult to reach and the fence in between was stupidly closed.
Nobody tried to improve the schatle schedule to allow the customers to use the neibghouring facillities ito compensate the proper damaged facilities.

Due to damages in November there was no pool and no access to the sea, which means there was no place to swim or relax on a sun bed with an umbrella unless going to the next hotel down, having to walk on a busy road in the sun for several minutes. Also the amenities like water sports equipment became pointless.
To “compensate” for complete lack of amenities that one would expect from a hotel on the sea in the Seychelles, they offered three free shuttle busses to other locations on the island - the beach being 1:10 hours away. That’s no compensation in my view as no one relaxes by being hauled on a bus.
No mention of discounts for the trouble or of free cancellation when they sent the mail to warn about these issues.
I feel duped, having spent a lot of money to stay in an otherwise very nice hotel resort.

What a delightful property. The staff is wonderful, and goes out of their way to provide great service. We have a junior suite, which is quite lovely, with a beautiful ocean view. It was lovely to wake up looking out the lanai door looking at the beautiful landscaping and small waves.

Everything was great but the spa was a a big disappointment. No design, no luxury, just a dark room full of stuff. You can can get a great massage in Sulawesi for 20$ in some basement but that was a basement feeling for 150$. Not worth a penny. The spa is an experience, the beauty, the tranquility, the relaxation. Not get into a dark room fast and be done with it. It is like a dirty one-hour-stand. Le Meridien should do better than that. Very disappointing.

We stayed in the Deleuxe Ocean view room. The room overlooked the pool and the ocean. That was the best part. We didn't want to leave the room at all!
The Pool and property was well kept. The food wasn't bad but could be much better. The snorkeling guided tour was very bad. An amateur discouraging millennial was just there but doing nothing to help us. That could really better.

If you book this property thinking it's a 5 star hotel, you will be expecting a higher level of service than what you will end up getting.

On the bright side, the property has amazing decoration and our room furniture was on the luxurious end. The property is on the corner of Beau Vallon beach, which is a very nice beach in Mahe.

On the not so great side, I found this property lacking cleaning. Bathroom was full of limescale and I could see that daily cleaning didn't even try to dust surfaces. There are also some maintenance issues, like missing tiles in the swimming pool.

Facilities are not sized properly and we could not get space near the swimming pool (or further away) that was under some kind of shade as there were not enough umbrellas.

Be prepared to pay extortionate prices for everything - after all, you are in a 5 star hotel - without many alternatives available. If you are looking at Google Maps thinking that you might have a nice night stroll nearby, your only way out is the beach or the pavement with no sidewalks at all!

Finally, beware of the charges made by the hotel. We found a discrepancy in the prices set in the menu at Cocolaba Bar and what we were charged. We also paid a deposit at the beginning to the property so we could charge our room and we had to wait for more than 3 weeks to get it back - despite our e-mails asking for it back.

Overall, it's not a terrible hotel but you would get much better value booking in any of the other hotels nearby.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Seychelles holiday and wish we hadn’t. This is barely a 3 star hotel, it’s terribly dated. Upon arriving at our room, there was a female sanitary product outside the door, not a good first impression. The bathroom is in the bedroom, separated by a strange curtain. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The room was close to the road so was noisy and there didn’t seem to be a big security presence like other hotels, so we really didn’t feel that safe. The last night we wanted to try the French restaurant but it was closed for a private function (no pre-warning) so we went next door to The H Hotel and what a totally different experience that was, not only their food fantastic but the customer service was consistently outstanding by all the staff unlike the hit and miss staff at Le Meridien. There was a lot of single use plastic items e.g. bottles, straws still being used that I noticed had already been eliminated at other properties. I usually don’t write bad reviews but feel that this property warrants it.

We had a most enjoyable stay at LeMeredian at Fishermans Cove, the staff were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was excellent also had two meals at the French restuarant and ate in the e Bar quite a bit where the food and service was great. We were given the last room on the bottom floor which did have an ocean view also garden as we did not see in any other room of the same status we could not compare this. Seeing we had the room booked for over 6 months I thought we could have been placed better. The floor was a tiled floor and was not mopped out every day. Beau Vallon Beach is very beautiful.

Beautiful resort with wonderful staff

This was part of our honeymoon stay in the Seychelles and we loved Le Meridien! The staff were so kind and friendly, never without a smile. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. We aren’t big fans of pools, especially when a gorgeous ocean is in front of us - but the pool here was so nice and flowed beautifully into the background of the Indian Ocean that we used it quite often. The food was great, breakfast options at Le Cardinal were plentiful, lunch and appetizers at Cocoloba were also good (a little expensive for lunch, though) and we dined at the Paris restaurant and enjoyed our meals and service there as well. The cocktails are always great and they have a happy hour everyday from 6-7:30 PM. The area in front of Le Meridien isn’t good for swimming but is great for snorkeling. Swimming options are only a 5 minute walk down the beach, though, still in the hotels view. The hotel also offers free snorkeling equipment, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Needless to say we were very pleased we chose the Le Meridien for our last 3 days of our honeymoon!

It’s a nice hotel and good experience overall.

The hotel is nice and right on the beach. The view from our balcony is magnificent. It’s sbout 15 minutes drive to Eden Island where all the restaurants and highend shops are. It’s a small hotel but very quite. The hotel is on the beach but the beach is not usable during the hightie The beach chairs are not allowed on the beach. The pool is very small, mainly for families with small children. The breakfast is decent and the French restaurant offer good food but not the snack bar nor the dinner buffet. This is our second time visiting Seychelles and we have stayed in Hilton before so we have some comparisons when comes to food. It would be nice to have a restaurant that serving Asian food. We ate at the hotel next to us for two nights just to have some variety. But the hotel staff is very nice, professional and helpful. Overall the experience is positive and will recommend.

We stayed in Le Meridien Fisherman`s Cove for 5 days in November and we arrived much earlier than check in. Thus, we were kindly offered breakfast and got our room upgraded right after we finished our meal. Overall, it was a positive experience! We had an important event in our life while staying in this hotel and we were very pleased when the staff recognised our celebration, delivering a bottle of complimentary champagne to our room.
The hotel restaurants have affordable prices and nice food.
The accommodation and facilities could see some renovation to look like 5 star hotel though :-)

We were very disappointed in the quality and attractiveness of our room. Several things were wrong and upon complaint to management we were offered a change of room, unfortunately my husband had a tummy upset and wasn’t up to changing. Three of reported faults were dealt with and the management offered us a meal upgrade, fruit basket etc. The hotel is set in beautiful well tended grounds and the food was really good. There isn’t much entertainment and not much in walking distance. Beaches are beautiful.

- Excellent bedding (had a very comfortable sleep during our stay)
- Very good service and attentive staff @ Cocoloba Bar
- Clean beach towels & super attentive staff @ Pool
- Good recommendation for shuttle service (thank you Jemmie for our perfect transfer to and from the airport)
- Complimentary water every day, as well as very good coffee & tea facilities (in room)

Con's:

- No direct access to the beach and no beach bar
- Rooms need a little bit of refurbishment
- An extensive bistro menu for lunch & dinner would be useful (for guests who choose not to go out from the property, like us)

Should we have the pleasure to come back to the Seychelles on Mahe Island, this property would îfor certain be one of our first options.

After stayed a night at Constance Ephelia we couldn't bare with the horrible service so we decided to move to somewhere else and Expedia staff was very helpful, we moved to Le Meridien as last minute booked.
The best location, you can walk along the beach and experince very cheap local foods (whole fish with salad cost less than cup of tea in hotel) but if you're not keen for local cousins, there are Indian, pizza, and other restaurants to try.

Good hotel, quite old, has to improve man power

We reach morning before check in, they give us complimentary breakfast during waiting for room, after around 2 hours they hive the room so we can sleep after long journey. The problem look like it's old hotel, even the maintenance good, the air condition was not so good. We complain next morning about the air condition, and ask if we can change the room but the guy in the reception was respond negatively and said we will change the air condition if necessary but you can't change the room. We were suffering for three nights and then on the fourth day the air condition totally spoiled, the in the evening when we back from our tour the lady duty manager offer us to shift the room and apologized for inconvenience and give us complimentary dinner. This will not happen if they respond on the first day and we would be suffering for three nights.The guy in front office should not spoke roudly, or at least he has to consult to his manager before answering us, it's was really spoiled our vacation mood, and this never happened to us before. If they shift us our room on the second day we will be very happy and appreciate their respond. Other wise the hotel is good , location also not bad, we had choices 3 restaurants , but the building is old. The beach have a good scenery, swimming pool also nice. The grounds of the hotel are kept to a very high standard and the infinity pool overlookng the mountains and beach is spectacular.

Overall the hotels needs a refubishment to bring it up to current 5 star standard. Some of the improvements are cosmetic and could make a big immediate impact e.g. reupholster the parasoles and sun loungers as some are tearing.

Other refurbishments require more investment but are necessary if this is to continue to be marketed as 5 star.

Did we have a wonderful time? Yes, absolutely.

Where the staff great? Well Shetty, Clive, Marvin and Bernadette were. Others missed the mark sometimes.

Would we go again? Only when we know a total refurbishment has been done.

Everything except food is great in this hotel. Nice beach, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. My wife got sick on arrival and the manager came all the way to the hospital with us in the middle of the night.
There were flies around the buffet setup at the breakfast. I hope they find a solution to that problem.
Relaxing and peacefull hotel. Not crowded at all. Easy access to Beau Valon center for alternative activities like supermarket, shopping, lunch and dinner.
I would definitly come again to this hotel.

The hotel is beautifully set out in a cove at the end of a gorgeous beach. The furniture is a little worn & the room layout is awkward e.g. Cupboard doors slide over the tea/coffee area. The food is excellent & the staff could not be more helpful. In fact I found the staff to be superb in their efforts to do everything in their power to comply with your every need. Quaint and fabulous location and service

We had a wonderful time at this hotel and would highly recommend it, for the lovely location and fabulous quaint style of the chalets and main building. please don't change a thing! Staff were fabulous, views fabulous, and it tis ring a the end of the cove on the beach..the best hotel at Beau Vallon

Perfect for honeymoon, relax or luxury holiday

The hotel in itself is breathtaking: the entrance, the room with incredible views, the restaurant's food,...The location is great - end of the beach which guarantees piece and quiet but also only 5-7 minutes walk to the restaurants and shops of Beau Vallon. But the best part of the hotel is the staff. If I was to rate the hotel based on the staff only, I probably would give it 8 stars. They simply are the best. Pascal in particular has made our stay possibly the best experience in any hotel we have ever visited. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Nice hotel in a great location

We had a lovely stay at the Fishermans Cove. The staff were very friendly with even my 6yr old commenting on how kind everyone was. The location is great although there is not much for kids to do except swim in the pool. The hotel has its privacy, which is nice, but one can easily take a walk on the beach and explore other hotels, restaurants etc. Beach has lots of coral/stones, so would recommend water shoes.

Everything appears to be focussed on conservation, marine activities and island hopping.

Our stay was the perfect getaway. The Hotel is in a superb location, was great amenities. The thing which made our stay so outstanding was the helpfulness and friendliness of staff - could not find fault. Nothing was too much trouble, truly a fantastic experience. We would recommend this Hotel for anyone going to the Seychelles and wanting great service, spotless rooms and communal areas, peace and tranquility.

Lovely hotel but having been spoilt by a non chain hotel on Praslin Island only gave it 4 stars.
Food and drink expensive
Felt like a resort hotel - didn't have much of an atmosphere
Rooms are very nice - but had the worst nights sleep ever on a very lumpy bed.

Great location on Beau Vallon beach. Beach not crowdered at all even though you are on one of the main beaches on Mahe. Close to Victoria and easy access to many restaurants.

A lovely complex in a beautiful part of the world. As yet unspoilt, however, there is a danger of over development nearby, which would then make the cost unrealistic. While the house keeping and Spa staff were extremely helpful and efficient, some others appeared a little lethargic.

Nice Hotel, but no Coconuts available!

On an island and the hotel has Coconut trees, but no one to actually get the coconuts down! Relaxing at the pool, and wanted to drink coconut water, when we were told that no one could get them down, and then we were told that they are too small, and no water would be available. This hotel is ideally located, but is very dated; the buffet that was served at dinner was not great about 4 main courses and they are not ready to replace the dishes when they are finished. We visited during Earth Hour, left the room, we shut off the AC and the lights, and when we walked out realised that the hotel was still light up?? Here the notice that they sent around said they would observe earth hour, but apparently it was only the lobby and the restaurant - so we ate in candle light, which was a nice touch, but the heat is so oppressive when we asked to turn on the fans, they said not until after earth hour...but yet the hotel only shut fans in the restaurant??

The hotel is starting to look a bit tired but I understand it will soon close for refurbishment.
The staff are great, very friendly and willing to look at everything to make ones visit comfortable.
Some sites say this hotel is 5 star and others 4 star. Whatever I am sure that once the refurbishment is complete it will be at least 5 star.

Beautiful Hotel!

Fantastic place to stay! My wife and I stayed two evenings at Fisherman's Cove on our honeymoon. The property is absolutely gorgeous, was not overcrowded, and was priced extremely fairly.
- The location is excellent. The hotel is on the end of the beautiful Beau Vallon Beach. The stay is close to a casino, three supermarkets, and a nightclub. Many locals will tell you this entire area is one of the best on Mahe Island.
- The rooms were spacious. For Americans: get used to the European design. The shower/tub/vanity are in the same open area as the bed. The toilet/bidet are in a different room. The only complaint I had about the room is the lack of hot water, though that seemed consistent throughout the island.
- Food was good. The convenience of a breakfast in your hotel cannot be overlooked. They had a nice range of foods and the wait staff was helpful. The dinner was excellent food, albeit not very \"local\" and a bit pricey.
- The front desk needs some more English speakers. We initially had a difficult time finding someone to help us. More recommendations for activities/places would have been welcomed as well.

Nice place but without hotel beach

Отель неплохой, совсем небольшой. Но перед отелем - камни, своего пляжа фактически нет. Рядом впадает грязная речушка. Чтобы купаться в океане - надо отходить метров 100 от отеля. Номера очень средние, странноватый и не очень комфортный дизайн. Но в целом - остановиться на несколько дней можно. Сервис - хороший.

The hotel is very nice overall. Quiet and romantic and a huge beach. Rooms have a great view of the ocean and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset every night. We had a bad start when the hotel taxi didn't show up for the airport pickup, they made it up by upgrading our room. Rooms could be cleaned better. Food is OVERPRICED. Breakfast was good but we tried the dinner buffet one night (seafood night), we could hardly find any fish and ended up eating a steak.

excelet staff, very attentive everthing was perfect but the weather wasn't what we expected as we had loads of rain in the driest season. Nevertheles we had a great time and would not hesitate in coming back again to the same hotel. They do everything to make sure your are happy and you've got everything you need. Very, very helpful people!

Great staff, mellow vibe

We feel the architecture + design of a location draws you in & when we arrived from an overnight flight to be welcomed into the large thatched roof long house of the lobby open on all sides to the sea, with plenty of comfy places to curl up and relax - I was ready for the holiday. The rooms are spacious and offer privacy, the landscaping was lush as the property has been a resort for quite some time (even prior to Le Meridien) The pool overlooks the ocean & there is easy beach access + readily available snorkeling gear - good snorkeling right off the hotel. This was our first trip to the Seychelles & while there are pricier resorts (though this is not cheap!), I couldnt see the point - Le Meridien Fisherman's Cove has a great staff and a laid back vibe.
